Something between a curse and a prayer slipped out from Jakk's lips as the comlink was thrust at him; though he took it none the less and affixed it to his ear. "Fine, fine! Just go. If I die, then the ship dies, and if the ship dies, then we all die when we can't get off this rock!" Blessfully, the entirety of the crew departed, and Jakk raised the ship into the air at speed, the ramp closing. Hands flying over the controls, the ship surged forward through the air - half-turret thumping a line of crimson death across the enemy's fortifications - before he took the Stalwart into a dizzying spiral upward and away from the outpost. He regretted not helping on the ground, but they had more pressing issues; such as the trio of TIE's that approached in the distance.
Already he was swinging the craft around to intercept. But, with the freighter's limited weaponry...would it be enough?
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````
"I got'cha! You're gonna be alright - hang on!"..."My name is Zalor Anneri, and I'm a friend of the Alliance. You're gonna be alright. The Force is strong with both of us today."
"She's dead." Master Hao mumbled numbly, her eyes far away and unseeing. "She's dead." The Umbaran whispered, in disbelief. The realization seemed to snap her out of her stupor, and she grasped Zalor's hand as she focussed on the Jedi in front of her. "She is dead, and she will not die in vain." She said firmly, finding new purpose in her lover's sacrifice. "Leave me. The line will be held. You must assist Jashin Rau at the front of the charge. You cannot let the Stormtroopers overrun the beachhead he has established!"
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````
A third of the way across the killing fields, about two hundred meters from the Alliance tank and their line, Jashin Rau was in the trenches with the First Order troops.
Human screams, audible over the din of battle, punctuated the explosions and blaster fire; along with them feral snarls and roars, accompanied by the snapping of bone and sinew. Out of the ten Stormtroopers that had made up the advance force, five had been killed by Jashin in primal rage - his arrival and ferocity making the remainder retreat to a shallow trench line. Four were standard Troopers, and carried F-11D's - the FO rifle of choice - with accompanying SE-44C service pistols. The fifth, more worryingly, was a Heavy Trooper, and had a menacingly large FWMB-10 repeating blaster, more commonly known as a "megablaster" which was little more than a cut down E-web with a snap down pintle for bracing. Out in the open as he was, the megablaster would cut him down in no time flat, or at the least force him to the ground, making him vulnerable to grenades or strategic sniping fire. Indeed, even as he snapped the fifth Stormtrooper's neck, and turned to deal with the rest of the unit (spying then the trench and his impending danger), a stream of crimson blaster bolts poured out from the trench. Ironically, it was only for the fact that a rifle bolt caught him in the shoulder and spun him to the ground out of the way, that the violent profusion of bolts didn't kill him outright. Snarling in pain, cursing aloud, Jashin writhed for a second on the ground, waiting for a killing bolt to strike him dead - for he had to be an easy target there, flat on the ground. But the bolt never came. Or, rather, it never had the chance. Instead, a needle-hulled and dagger winged craft streaked across the sky, its laser cannon thumping, drawing a line of explosions across the trench and across the bunker's shields, before flying up into the clouds.
"Y-you...came back for me? I'm touched." Jashin muttered numbly, sarcastically, flat on his back, the words directed at the retreating thrusters in the sky. He was sure he was going insane; he had quite literally crashed a ship of the same make and model not a handful of days before. Either it was some cosmic joke... "Or just my dumb roguish luck."
Either way, he didn't question it. Heaving himself to his feet, he stumbled through the smoke, almost tripping into one of the small craters the Stalwart's laser cannons had left behind, before unceremoniously jumping into the trench that had just so threatened him bare seconds before. Five startled troopers greeted him (well, he imagined they were startled) and the one closest to him swung his F-11 around to draw a bead on him. But Jashin was already moving. Lashing out with his left leg, his foot collided with the closest trooper's rifle, sending it wide, the weapon pulsing as the human fought to keep his grip on the weapon. Following the kick, Jashin reached out and grabbed the man's arm - which was held out defensively against more kicks or punches - Jashin opting to grapple with the man. A pull, and a twist, and the trooper was used as a handy shield as two of his compatriots fired in unison, the trooper's body shaking with the impact of the bolts. Jashin's arm a blur, he drew the SE-44C pistol from the (now quite dead) corpse of his body shield, and put a pair of carefully timed bolts into the offending trooper's heads in response. The fourth Stormtrooper, fumbling with his rifle, was slow to recover from the strafing run of the freighter. The heavytrooper, however, was another story. Abandoning his large and unwieldy megablaster, the Heavy trooper held a betaplast riot shield in one hand, and some kind of baton in the other hand. Even as he watched, the trooper deployed two vanes on the baton, which sparked with deadly electrical current. Great - a stunbaton. Casually, Jashin raised his pistol, and shot the - still! - fumbling stormtrooper several times in the chest, ending the human's fated struggle with his rifle. Bringing to bear the pistol on the baton wielder, Jashin only shrugged, offering a single - "Sucks to be you."- as consolation before pulling the trigger.
But rather than spit a blaster bolt, the pistol vibrated, indicating it was out of power. For several seconds the pair stared at each other, Jashin letting the pistol fall out of his grip - his hands coming up defensively, ready for a brawl - the trooper adjusting his grip on his baton and shield. "Seems it sucks to be you." The trooper stated flatly, closing the distance and swinging the baton.

*Sin had heard Zalor say about this Jedi needing help. But she didn't know much healing, she didn't even feel that comfortable with her knowledge on first aid. The one spell she did know, for whatever reason left her feeling drained when ever she tried to use it. She needed all her strength. She shook her head lightly and without looking back, kept pushing forwards, her pace hurried.
She used the force to sense those around her as best she could. She wished her abilities were as strong as her mothers, suddenly a trooper she missed sensing burst through the fog. She let out a surprised hiss, and with a snap hiss her crinsom saber burst to life, stabbed into the troopers gut. She wouldn't wait for him to hit the ground before moving on again. She kept moving forwards, determined to reach the feral sounds as quickly as she could, growing more and more confident that was where she was needed to be. She was in such a rush that she missed the trench, in that she went to step and was falling forwards into one, luckily she had the sense to shut down her saber so she didn't kill herself, but managed to roll into it and back to her feet almost making it look like it was what she intended the whole time. She looked around trying to sense things still, but before she could figure out one it would disappear. This only made her feel more concerned.
She had started to run down the trench, when she had a danger sense that popped in her mind, which she normally didn't get with her level of power. She spun on a heel, her saber again springing to life, to deflect the two blaster shots, not being practiced at that, they hit the dirt around her. She fired two shoots back at the face mask of the trooper, her saber turning off once more as she ran again.
"Seems it sucks to be you" She heard from around the next bend. She spins around the corner, her saber once more flaring to life, slashing the red blade down one shoulder, then up under the other, de-limbing the trooper. Her gaze traveling pas the trooper, her heartbeat racing, realizing how heavy her breathing was from running. She probably looked terrible. But instead of turning back around the corner to straighten herself up, offered a simple.*
Pretty sure it sucks to be a trooper today...

Zalor nodded in agreement with the Jedi. Although he didn't know who he was talking about when she kept mentioning that 'she' was dead, Zalor was then surprised to hear her mention Jashin's name - the name of the pirate they had come to rescue. So he had made contact with Alliance forces. Now, it seemed as though he was assisting them as well. Then, Zalor would assist him in assisting the Alliance as well, he decided.
"It just so happens that my crew and I are looking for a Jashin Rau. We were his extraction team, but it seems as though he intends to stay and fight. In that case, I'll make sure he succeeds - you have my word." Zalor reached to his belt and took the Jedi Master's exotically designed lightsaber hilt into his hand. He then placed it into the Jedi's hand and clasped his hand over it in a gesture of goodwill. "...I think this belongs to you. You'll be needing this for next time. Rest well, sister."
With that, Zalor stood up and turned to face the other Alliance soldiers, still entrenched behind the hover tank. He then examined the battlefield in front of them. There were Stormtroopers entrenched just in front of the base, as well as an AT-ST, and several gun emplacements. He hadn't noticed yet that Tanara had taken control of the AT-ST, as he was too focused on the rest of the things shooting at them. He also turned and looked at the hovertank itself. He could see that the team of soldiers' engineers were hard at work getting the disabled vehicle online, but they were taking heavy fire. If they could get the hovertank up and running, they could surely weed out the First Order from their position with ease.
So, it's gonna be like this, then... Zalor thought to himself. When he agreed to join Master Raven and her crew, he hardly pictured himself on the front lines of the war between the Alliance and the First Order. Yet, this is what the Force planned for him, it seemed. There was an entire army between Zalor and his goal, these soldiers needed to take the base in front of them; their Jedi commander was wounded, they needed a leader, and Zalor was the only Jedi readily available. Although Zalor was better at being a Shadow, he had been a battlefield commander before. It wouldn't be easy, but Zalor knew he could do it. Zalor looked down at his grandfather's saber, eyeing it for a brief moment.
"I'd say this is an emergency." Zalor muttered to himself.
Having made his decision, Zalor effortlessly pulled the old saber hilt to his hand with the Force, then lit the green blade for the first time in years. With a newfound sense of direction, determination and courage, the Naboo innkeeper had now become the Jedi commander. Zalor strode into the ranks of the Alliance soldiers and began to shout to them...
"SOLDIERS OF THE ALLIANCE - I AM JEDI KNIGHT ZALOR ANNERI, AND THE FORCE HAS BROUGHT ME HERE TODAY TO LEAD YOU INTO VICTORY! YOUR JEDI COMMANDER IS WOUNDED, AND SHE HAS GIVEN ME THE TASK OF MAINTAINING THE BEACHHEAD YOU HAVE ESTABLISHED. I WILL DO HER ONE BETTER - I WILL LEAD THE CHARGE TO TAKING THIS FACILITY, WHICH WE CANNOT DO FROM THIS POSITION. WE NEED TO BUY YOUR ENGINEERS TIME TO FIX THAT HOVERTANK AND GET IT ONLINE - SO ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THE FORCE IS WITH THEM, AND IS WILLING TO HELP ME CHARGE INTO THE ENEMY'S FRONT LINES, STAY BEHIND ME AND STICK CLOSE! LET'S GO!"
Zalor then began to charge headfirst across the Alliance's frontline into the killzone, his saber raised to a Soresu defense position, ready to deflect incoming shots. When he was past the hovertank, he gave one loud shout... "FOR DANTOOINE!"
...then proceeded to deflect any shot within his saber range that he could. He stood ten feet in front of the hovertank as Stormtroopers responded to this new threat with prejudice.
With his free hand, Zalor lifted his left hand up, open-palmed, and shards of debris and large rocks from all around them began to lift off the ground and float in the sky. When Zalor was satisfied with the number of objects he had collected, he pushed his left arm forward, and all the debris and rocks began to fly at the line of enemy Stormtroopers in rapid succession, hoping it would provide enough suppression for some of the Alliance troopers to join him in advancing forward...
-------------------------------------------------------------
[Loud whistle-beep-beep-loud whistle]
Sitting next to Tanara with his holoprojector open, Artoo, having just spotted Zalor across the battlefield, turned and tried to get Tanara's attention to let her know that Zalor had just taken command of the Alliance troopers in the trenches just in front of Jarrak Base.

"Pretty sure it sucks to be a trooper today..."
Jashin had braced himself for a fight, but, as a crimson saber lopped off the arms of the heavy trooper in front of him (said trooper collapsing to the round, passing into shock and likely eventual death), Jashin could really only stand there with his mouth open. Sinina, wielding her red saber, looking rather tired and dirtied, was in the trench. "I...you...what...?" He spluttered incoherently. With a cringe worthy snarl, he grabbed the heavytroopers megablaster - the weapon nearly half as long as he was tall - and swung it over his shoulder, jabbing a finger at the much smaller woman. "Stupid, stupid woman! Why are you here? In a karking war zone!"
Just then a grenade plopped into the dirt next to Jashin's foot, and, smoothly, he scooped it up and tossed it back out, the grenade detonating a handful of seconds later. Shouldering the megablaster to the edge of the trench, popping his head up just a few scant inches to aim, he laid down a torrential stream of blaster fire across the next series of fortifications, the repeating blaster firing so rapidly that it was nearly a single coherent beam, striking several troopers who were not quick enough to duck back under cover.
"Shut that damn lightsaber off! You want to get mistaken for a Knight of Ren by some poor Alliance sap?" As he spoke, his mind reeled. He hadn't been hallucinating. The Stalwart wasn't his - it had been another entirely. On it, Sinina and someone capable of tracking him: probably one of his father's cronies. "This entire thing is going to Bogan." He muttered to himself, his words inaudible over the blaster fire. Already he was wary as the AT-ST had apparently been alerted to his position, its head swiveling to take a bearing on him. But, jerking oddly, it pivoted and fired on its own troops - this confusing Jashin more than practically anything else he had ever seen on the battlefield. In quick succession after the AT-ST, a proverbial wave of rocks and debris passed over the battlefield, making both Jashin and Stormtroopers duck back into their trench-lines.
"Who the hell else did you bring with you?" It was the only possible explanation. This was some Jedi work, and maybe a mind trick or slicer or droid of some sort for the AT-ST.

She knew the engineers inside the cockpit of the AT-ST were actively trying to regain control, and would probably succeed before the hard light generator malfunctioned, and so she decided to make the most of her time and wreak some actual damage upon the First Order. She did her best to account for the two second delay to fire off a dozen more laser blasts at the ranks of stormtroopers, killing four more stormtroopers. She would definitely have to fix the lag if she intended to do this again in the future. She then turned her attention toward the hangar, targeting the walls and support beams. She knew she wouldn't have enough time to destroy all the TIE Fighters still docked with the laser cannons alone, so she figured it would be easier to simply bring the whole thing crashing down.
She let herself become distracted for a moment by the astromech droid. So, her friend had decided to, temporarily at least, take command of the Alliance forces. It pleased her to learn this, as she knew her friend was destined to become a great leader, this would only be the start. She was surprised however, that he had activated his grandfather's lightsaber. She had no idea what had transpired between him running off to help the Jedi Commander, and him assuming command, but it was a very welcome change. The Alliance soldiers rallied to her friend as they had with the other Jedi.
The front lines were being taken care of by her friend, and the Echani woman was in the trenches with their target. With all of them together, this battle wouldn't take too long. However, it wouldn't mean much if they couldn't get into the bunker where the First Order commanders were most likely hiding, while giving and receiving orders. If they wanted to end this, they would need to get into the bunker. That, she decided, was going to be her job. With a half smile, she turned her attention back to the holographic controls. She turned the AT-ST away from the lines of stormtroopers and began targeting the bunker itself. She knew the walker only had three concussion grenades, and so she would need to make sure each one was a precision shot. Taking her time, she carefully lined up her shot and fired her first grenade. Because she wasn't in the cockpit of the AT-ST with all the actual targeting programs, the first grenade was slightly off and did mostly superficial damage to the bunker doors. Undeterred, she readjusted her aim and fired the second grenade. This one connected dead center and caused the doors to bend and buckle, but they were still attached and preventing entry. She let out a small giggle as she fired the third grenade. The doors were blown back into the bunker. They had a way in now.
It was then that the engineers had successfully wrestled control of the legs back from her and started charging back towards the front lines. The Twi'lek girl let out a almost two dozen curses, from several different languages, and let out as many laser blasts toward the stormtroopers as she could before relinquishing the controls. However, she wasn't done yet. Her little sister had done something similar to this years ago, and had developed a virus to corrupt the internal systems. Tanara had taken that virus and gone a step further. Instead of targeting the internal systems, the virus would go straight for the power source and overload it. The process usually took anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the size and type of reactor.
:: They've regained control of the AT-ST, but I planted a virus to overload the reactor. Try to keep away from it. I'm gonna take Artoo and see what I can do inside the bunker. ::
She then deactivated the small shield generator she had planted at her feet and returned it to her pocket. She gave the astromech droid a smile and started sprinting towards the bunker, trying to keep out of sight as much as she could.

Well, Hello to you too....
*She said at him, much more casually then he seemed to be. SHe raised an eyebrow and then frowned at him as she deactivated her saber again.*
Perhaps I could ask you the same question...
*She smiles to herself having heard of Tanara's success. She put a hand on her hip and shakes her head at Jashin.*
..Well, I found you a slicer, as requested. I brought another Jedi, who I believe is leading the troops out there, seeing as their leader was wounded, and I brought me. Also, said slicer just provided us an opening into the bunker. Your welcome?
*She smiled, she was quite proud of herself, though she had left out that it was Jakk who had brought them here, or that she had met his grandfather, and had a dislike for him almost as much as she had for Poppi. But... first impressions didn't really seem to be her strong suit. She bites her lip softly and looked around quickly. She then focused back on Jashin.*
Oh. We also have a pilot ready for extraction, soon as those ties are off the board... So... Shall we get this thing wrapped up? Or do you have some more questions?

Sinina, perhaps, was a little too unwary of what exactly battle and war did to berserk prone sentients like Wookies, Barabels, and Firrerreo. With a guttural snarl, Jashin spun away from the megablaster, a hand slashing through the air. If she were unlucky, it would strike her across the face. It she were lucky, it would miss her altogether. Practically spitting, a feral noise rattling its way past his lips, he spat curses at the inexperienced Echani. "Fool woman! You brought doom with you! Before, this was only a minor skirmish: now the enemy has seen multiple Jedi - and the only reason multiple Jedi would be seen with a force this small, would be if it were an advance force! The enemy will reposition troops, here, because they perceive us a greater threat than we really are. We shall take this position, but never hold it!"
A series of explosions then, and Jashin poked a head over the trench, taking in the hole in the side of the bunker, the billowing smoke, and the somewhat drunken looking AT-ST - even now in the process of smoking; a state of possible overload. Behind him, some unknown Jedi was giving a rallying speech to the Alliance soldiers, who cheered in response, and followed the Jedi on his charge.
Now was the chance to assault the bunker proper.
"Karking Jedi with their sabers and their theatrics. Karking fool women. Karking fools, all of them!" Spitting curses, Jashin gripped the megablaster, hauling it and himself out of the trench as the Alliance troops and their Jedi leader swept across and over the trench. Joining them, Jashin leveraged alien strength to wield the megablaster with two hands, having no need for the pintle brace, firing the weapon and laying down a a hail of bolts across the fortifications.

Zalor could hear cheers from the line of Alliance troopers as they rallied behind him. He could hear and feel many of them getting up from their entrenched positions and following his charge as he began to run towards the line of Stormtroopers ahead of them. He had clearly succeeded at getting them to follow his lead, although he always found it rather easy, even without the grandiose speech he chose to give in this particular situation. As the allied troops rallied behind him, it seemed as though their aim slightly improved, as more and more Stormtroopers were falling to their shots. His mother, Erris - was a master practitioner of the rare Force ability known as Battle Meditation. Before he left Endor, Zalor remembered his mother telling him that he, too, as a member of the Anneri family of Jedi, was capable of learning this technique as well. Zalor had, at first, scoffed at the very idea, thinking himself the least powerful member of their lineage by far. Surely, he himself would never harness the Force to that magnitude. Now, however - he suddenly began to wonder if she was right all along.
As Zalor ran out to meet the First Order's line of Stormtroopers in front of Jarrak Base, the stormtroopers began to focus their fire on him. Try as they might, however, Zalor continued to deflect shot after shot away from him. Even after years of not having even touched his saber, he never forgot the Soresu techniques that made him so proficient at blocking blaster shots. If there was ever one aspect of lightsaber combat that Zalor had clearly mastered, it was the art of blocking. Not one blaster shot got past Zalor's guard - he was a human deflector shield.
Before long, over top all the blaster fire, Zalor could hear Tanara's voice in his earpiece...:: They've regained control of the AT-ST, but I planted a virus to overload the reactor. Try to keep away from it. I'm gonna take Artoo and see what I can do inside the bunker. :: Zalor couldn't resist a small chuckle of amusement, even in the heat of battle. He had noticed their walker was firing on its own allies, and he had a hunch as to why. ::Copy that. I figured that Scout Walker 'malfunction' was your doing. I've just commandeered a battalion of Alliance soldiers and their hovertank, and I'm gonna break this stalemate. Hang tight, and I'll bring the party to you.::
As soon as Zalor signed off, Zalor took off running at full speed towards the enemy's front line, hoping the troops were still following him. In the distance, he could spot a Stormtrooper with a slightly different colored armor than the rest: the enemy battalion's commander. Zalor made that his main target, and took off running toward's him.
As he did so, the AT-ST, now back under its own power slowly turned and faced Zalor. Zalor knew he had little time to evade whatever it was about to fire at him. Now fully engulfed in the Force, Zalor put his feet together and jumped high into the air, landing on the very top of the AT-ST's head - only a second after the AT-ST fired its main cannon, leaving a crater where he would've been.
With his new vantage point, and doing his best to keep in balance as the walker wobbled around underneath him, Zalor surveyed the battlefield, and the base hangar behind it. He couldn't see Tanara, Artoo or Sinina anywhere, although he could easily spot Agent Ryder's Serenno freighter in the air, flying at full speed towards what looked to be a trio of incoming TIE fighters. He didn't blame himself for not being able to spot his friends, with all the ordinance and blaster fire going off, but he needed to know that his team was still active. Although the assault on the base was going better now that he was in control, their original mission of finding Jashin Rau didn't seem any closer to completion.
Still balancing on the AT-ST's head, Zalor tapped his earpiece. ::Zalor Anneri to all team members - anyone got eyes on our missing pirate yet?::
Without waiting for a response, Zalor leaped off the walker's head back onto the ground, as he could sense that Tanara's self-destruct virus was about to activate. Once on the ground, he resumed his pursuit of the Stormtrooper commander, blocking shots as he went.

*She was about to step closer to him, when he spun about, and his hand connected with her cheek with quite the resounding smack of skin on skin. She stared at him, to surprised to even speak. "fool woman." he spat at her. She growled loudly at him in response, her fists clenching.*
I'd think of better places to meet. I came because it was important.
*She glared at him, another growl emanating deep in her throat as she stops a moment to respond to Zalor.*
Yea. I've run into him. Not to grateful neither.
*She looks at Jashin again. She tossed her sabers at him. Jumping up onto the trench before he would climb it.*
No sabers... low faith in force users. Guess I'll prove i can be useful without either.
*She runs through the open, knowing enough that his weapon would provide decent cover for her, as long as she wasn't dumb and run in a straight line. She drew instead, her pair of fire dancing swords. Moving as quickly as she could without using the force she rushed the fortifications. On the way she easily sinks her fine tipped swords through armours soft spots on 3 troopers. Even now, her movements were graceful and elegant. Her curved body always moving, clothed in a combat suit that hugged to her instead of a dress, she was more able than she had been in other encounters.*

The megablaster thumped away - the large and unwieldy weapon requiring two hands to fire - and the woman tossed her sabers at him; the pair of weapons thudding off his chest and to the ground, only to be stepped on and pressed into the charred earth underfoot as Jashin and the Alliance soldiers advanced. Scanning the battlefield as Sinina ran forward, his eyes didn't linger on the woman's graceful movements, instead providing cover and suppression fire for the immediate area. To Jashin's left, and farther ahead, some Jedi was riding the AT-ST like an animal, waving a green blade about, before jumping off the walker to the ground. A split second later, the walker exploded with a tremendous thump and a gout of flame, sinking to the ground slowly - quite dead.
The Jedi moved forward towards what appeared to be the battalion's commander, who even now was shouting orders and gesturing wildly. It appeared they needed to mop up the exterior forces before regrouping to enter the base proper. The exterior guns had gone quiet: the smoke put up by blowing up the base's blast doors was enough cover for the base commander to change tactics.
He, like the poor battalion commander on the outside, knew what everyone else knew: the exterior was lost, and the someodd dozen or so troopers left were even now - along with the battalion commander - trying to pull back to the exploded opening. If they made it inside, they would regroup with the entrenched forces in the interior of the base.
Not that they would make it.
The Alliance soldiers laying down fire, the remaining troopers dropping to the ground, the more experienced Stormtroopers fell prone in an attempt to return suppression fire. Several Alliance soldiers fell, and Jashin, in addition to his earlier shoulder wound, was hit in the left thigh. But the line kept moving forward. The megablaster spitting a near constant stream, Jashin practically sliced a Stormtrooper in half, before slamming the red-hot barrel of his weapon into a trooper's gut - a trigger pull and a blaster pulse finishing the human off. And then, just like that....the fighting died down. Intermittent blasts sounded out here and there - and then, silence. From inside the base, fighting and orders could be heard. But, for the outside...it seemed this particular front was won.
Turning to the scattered Alliance soldiers, Jashin raised his voice, nearly audible across the entire field.
"Who the kark is in charge?"

The stormtrooper commander, and his closest squadmates, were barely out of the trenches to fall back to the hangar - when Zalor Anneri landed in front of them, having leaped over top of them. In a panic, all the stormtroopers fired away at Zalor, but Zalor merely reflected each and every shot back at them until all the stormtroopers, save for the commander, had fallen to their own blaster shots, returned to them from Zalor's green blade. The stormtrooper commander pulled out what looked like an electrostaff from his belt, activated it, then engaged Zalor in close quarters. The two traded blows for only a few seconds, but the commander was no match for Zalor. With two swift strokes, Zalor cut through the center of his staff, rending it useless, then ran the commander through with his blade.
And with that, the Alliance forces had broken the stalemate. Zalor could also see the hovertank now back up and running, and it pushed up the hill with the soldiers. Zalor heaved a sigh of relief. Right out the gate, Zalor had been thrust back in the action - and yet, he seemed to have performed well. The Force was with him today.
Zalor had a mind to join the troopers to find Tanara and help liberate the base. He was stopped, however, when a loud voice bellowed across the field, demanding who was in charge. Zalor turned to look down the hill where the voice had come from. There, he saw Sinina, accompanying a Firrerro soldier carrying a large repeater. He looked beat up, cut up and battered six ways to Life Day, but other than that - he seemed to match the description of the missing pirate, Jashin Rau.
Zalor hurried back down the hill to meet them, his saber still lit and armed, in case this obviously angry pirate, which Zalor could sense even before he saw him, decided to turn on the young Jedi. With a commanding voice, he shouted back.
"That would be me, at the moment! Zalor Anneri, Jedi Shadow. And you must be Jashin Rau. Heck of a place to get stranded in, I'd say. My crew and I are your ride outta here, provided we don't all get ourselves killed first."

"Fan-friggin-tastic." Replied Jashin blandly. At his feet, a Stormtrooper struggled feebly - apparently not quite dead yet. Bending down Jashin picked up the human, easing an arm around the man's head as he spoke to the Jedi. "Well, Jedi: you're right about several things, but wrong about a few others." A sickening snap sounded out across the field as the stormtrooper's head lolled to the side lifelessly in Jashin's arms. Unconcerned, Jashin let the body fall to the ground, before bending to pick up the Megablaster again. "One, I am Jashin Rau. Two, I am in charge, not you. And, lastly, three, you can make all of this, the entire affair on the planet, disappear if you just agree with me, and help me capture the comm array inside that bunker." Jashin paused, for a second, amused, before shaking his head. "Imagine that. A Jedi saving hundreds of thousands of lives."
Jashin gestured to the bunker ahead, a standard prefabricated affair, the interior probably carrying some odd thirty troopers and a base commander. We need the array intact. We must hold the position until transmission is complete. After that, we can bugger out of here."

*Sin sighed deeply as they managed to catch up to Zalor, having used the thin rapieresk swords to strike down a few more troopers along the way. She was surprised, she didn't even feel like she was working up a sweat yet. Though, not using the force, had won her a few blaster shoots giving her grazing wounds on her arms and legs. One blaster shot having caught her lower back, burning away a streak of her combat suit across her back exposing dark skin. If it bothered her, she didn't even show it, not even gritted teeth. She was determined to prove her strength and usefulness.
She looked at Zalor after Jashin had finished speaking, giving him a sort of apologetic look. It was probably the nicest a would be pirate was likely to be in the middle of a warzone like this. She bites her lip softly as she looked at the array. Then around the area. She figured, if it was her mother, they'd be going, stealthing to the enemies location, and go in and assassinate the enemy before they could attempt to take this location. But she figured that Jashin would find that to "jediesk" She looks at Jashin questioningly.*
This is new... I know I'm no mind read-y type... But I'd almost say you care about what happens to these people...Not just about Jashin, and what money he can get out of a situation...
*She wasn't trying to be rude, or insulting, she was curious, and it made her smile. Sure, she was no jedi, and with the runes burning along her skin, her first instinct would be kill instead of talk like normal, but the thought of him thinking beyond number 1 was appealing. She looked at Zalor again, a frown coming to her forehead.*
....Where did Tanara get to...?

Zalor frowned as the angry pirate barked orders at him. Sinina's assessment of Jashin's attitude was accurate: he didn't seem none too grateful at them having rescued him, and Zalor was hardly surprised. Although, the more Zalor thought about the pirate's reaction, the more he could sense that Jashin actually seemed invested in the battle at Jarrak Base, despite not having chosen to be there. Any other non-affiliated scoundrel would probably be eager to bail out of here. But not Jashin Rau. Zalor had already become quite impressed and respectful of this man, whoever he was.
He was angry, nonetheless. No matter, Zalor thought. Zalor had dealt with unpleasant characters many times before in his adventures as a Jedi Shadow. Zalor merely squinted back at Jashin, stone-faced, letting his blade arm relax a little bit.
"You know, me being the only Jedi on this team right now, I'd normally insist on taking the lead. But, seeing as how we're both in agreement as to what needs to be done, and how urgently it needs to be done, I'll follow your lead. As long as you're alright with staying behind me so I can deflect blaster fire - so you don't die." Zalor flashed a coy smile at Jashin as he gave his lightsaber a quick twirl, hoping Jashin would find that arrangement suitable.*She wasn't trying to be rude, or insulting, she was curious, and it made her smile. "Tanara and my droid are already inside the bunker, likely doing recon and staying out of sight. We'll link up with them once we assault the bunker. Let's go!"

The Twi'lek girl and the astromech droid reached the bunker entrance, having successfully kept out of sight. First Order Stormtroopers had been running back and forth through the entrance, but now there was a sudden lull in activity. She wasted no time in exploiting the lull and wrapped the Force around her and the droid, shielding them from visual, audio, and motion trackers. She knew she would be quickly overwhelmed if she went in guns blazing, and so a more stealthy approach was needed. Fortunately for her, stealth was one of the things that the Jedi Shadows focused on training primarily. She moved carefully and slowly, ready to move out of the way of any troops that would come her way. She noticed, once she entered the bunker proper, that the stormtroopers were busy building makeshift barricades and chest high walls. Clearly they did not intend on giving up the bunker easily. As she would be easily detected if she tried going through all that hustle and bustle, she had to decide whether to take the north passage or the south passage. After a quick deliberation, she decided to go north, as most of the stormtroopers were using the southern passage to transport materials for their fortifications.
The path north curved around westward until it reached another fork. This time, her options were to go south and explore the various rooms she found there, or continue westward around the ring. She needed to find some kind of security station to hack into, and these were the first rooms she had encountered so far in the bunker. If none of these rooms were what she hoped for, she could always just continue around the ring, so she took the south passage. She decided to check the two rooms on the east side first, then head back north. The first room she checked appeared to be a barracks, with little more than rows of bunks and a few tables with chairs around them. Nothing of interest for her in there, so she moved on. As though the base was taunting her, the second room was also nothing but another barracks. Undeterred, she moved to the west side of the hallway and checked the closest door. A detention block. YES! There had to be a security station nearby! She carefully made her way through the detention block, noting that all the cells were presently empty. Odd, but perhaps the fighting had not had a lull long enough for the First order to take prisoners, or maybe they had already moved their prisoners to shuttles? Either way, she continued her search and finally found the security office. There were only four people on duty, all of them focused on their screens showing the raging battle outside the bunker and the preparations being conducted on the inside. None of them saw the blaster bolts until it was too late.
Now inside the security station, she dropped the Force Cloak and quickly turned her attention to the astromech droid.
"Artoo, get to work breaking into their systems, I'm going to lock this door to keep any unwanted visitors out."
She then turned her attention to the control panel beside the door. Working quickly, she closed the door and locked it. She then disabled all outside access and encrypted the door controls with her own personal encryption, that she and her little sister and developed together. Satisfied that no one would be able to bother them, she joined the astromech droid at the security desk and began slicing into their systems.
:: I'm in. Be advised, stormtroopers have fortifications set up in front of the bunker entrance. You'll be walking into a bottleneck. ::

"This is new... I know I'm no mind read-y type... But I'd almost say you care about what happens to these people...Not just about Jashin, and what money he can get out of a situation..."
"You're being moon-brained, girl." Jashin said gruffly, hopefully squashing any ideas that he might be going soft. "If there's no one alive to pay you, how do you get paid? I'm here to collect my reward; and to make sure these idiots live long enough to give me my reward. That's all there is to it."
"You know, me being the only Jedi on this team right now, I'd normally insist on taking the lead. But, seeing as how we're both in agreement as to what needs to be done, and how urgently it needs to be done, I'll follow your lead. As long as you're alright with staying behind me so I can deflect blaster fire - so you don't die." Zalor flashed a coy smile at Jashin as he gave his lightsaber a quick twirl, hoping Jashin would find that arrangement suitable.
Snorting disdainfully at the Jedi (apparently having a low opinion of Jedi in general), Jashin waved a hand at the man before turning his back to the pair, waking away from the conversation before Zalor could even finish. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're the Jedi - you want to be on point. Sure, sure. You want to be on point? Go for it: I like my blaster shields within bolt blocking distance anyway. Just don't be surprised when I step over your corpse when you get shot."
Slinging the Megablaster over his shoulder, the barrel of the weapon still cooling, he began to make his way over to the Alliance hovertank - though couldn't resist calling out a final parting shot. "By the way! Super impressed how you allowed the Princess on this little rescue mission. You know, the person with zero field experience? I look forward to seeing more Jedi wisdom in the future!"
Turning his attention squarely to the remaining troops, Jashin let Zalor and Sinina speak briefly, before he returned to them; now carrying a more size appropriate A310 blaster rifle across his back. This, of course, was dwarfed by the new toy he had acquired - an RPS-8 Rocket launcher. Slinging the rocket launcher of his shoulder, two squads of four Alliance soldiers followed him on either side (the last of the forces left, besides the Hovertank), the soldiers and Jashin met up with Sinina and Zalor just to the side of the exploded entrance to the base. "Ok. Jedi. Sinina. Alliance Teams Alpha and Beta. Here's the plan." Whispered Jashin hoarsely, the silence and tension already growing thick in preparation for the next wave of fighting. "They probably have a choke point in there...so I'm going to fire this launcher, and Alpha will toss flash dets, and Beta will throw frags. After the explosions cease, Jedi will take the lead providing cover. Jedi and I will do a sword and shield maneuver (referring to a clone wars maneuver where a Jedi provided cover and reflection while a soldier or commando provided tactical suppression) through the middle, while Alpha moves up the left interior wall, and Beta the right interior wall. Sinina will head up behind us to finish anyone off that the initial waves don't kill."
Without further ado, Jashin leaned around the corner, and fired the launcher - a single missile flying out into the darkness of the corridor (the base Commander wisely taking advantage of the Stormtrooper's helmets ability for low light processing, taking the opportunity to turn the lights out in the immediate area). Following the missile, half a dozen fragmentation grenades and assorted flash detonators. A deafening barrage of explosions resounded, followed by a concussive wave of heat and debris - and then they were moving. Alpha team along the left, Beta along the right, and Jashin and co (hopefully) up the middle. Blaster bolts filled the air, Alliance and Stormtroopers trading fire. Through it all, Jashin focused on reloading the launcher, depending on cover to complete the task.

Sure I am...
*She sighed softly, giving her head a shake. She watched him closely, she wasn't sure why she seemed to like him so much. When she'd first seen him she had hated him and insulted him. She chewed at her lip softly looked him over as if it were the last time she would see him. WHich on a battlefield.. it very well could happen. She shakes her head, she had to focus right now. She growls at him.*
What about Etti? Me and Raven defened against a whole squad of troops. And a jedi hunter!
*She took a moment, hoping Tanara was as alright as Zalor said, she didn't want to see anyone from the crew hurt. Especially on her account. She gives Jashin another look over. Relegated to clean up duty. Putting her in the least dangerous job he could. She turns away from the group as the plans explanation wrapped up, her shoulders slump. She mind starting to fill with thoughts of self doubt. Was her efforts to be impressive that bad? Were all the compliments she got after Etti just false praise to make her feel better about her self? Was that why she'd been sent away from Dathomir in the first place? Many questions filling her head, the dark thoughts weighing her shoulders, chewing away at her resolve.*

~~~Before the Assault on the Bunker~~~
Zalor turned to Sinina and shrugged his shoulders, unable to make any sense of the pirate's anger at having brought Sinina. Her comment seemed to indicate that she actually did have some field experience, per Raven's group's mishaps at Etti IV, but Jashin clearly wasn't paying attention. "Don't worry - maybe when he figures out that this rescue mission was partially your idea, he'll come around."
~~~During the Assault on the Bunker~~~
Once the fireworks had started, Zalor stood off to the side in front of Jashin Rau, giving the pirate enough room to lay down suppressing fire for the soldiers, and he immediately began using his Soresu blocking technique to keep the Stormtrooper's blaster fire off of Jashin and Sinina. Even with the lights off, the blaster fire illuminated the bunker enough to where he could see the opposition. With every chance he got in between volleys of enemy fire, Zalor used the Force to fling pieces of large nearby debris at the more concentrated groups of Stormtroopers. While this was just as effective as the returning fire from the Alliance troopers, Zalor could see that there were a large number of Stormtroopers, and that they were well dug in.
Zalor tapped his earpiece quickly before resuming his shielding stance in front of Jashin... ::Tanara, it's Zal. I've got Sinina, the pirate, and the Alliance soldiers inside the bunker. You were right about that bottleneck - we're pinned at the entrance. Anything you can do from inside the base system to help us out? Automated turrets? Battle droids? Anything?::

:: Tanara, it's Zal. I've got Sinina, the pirate, and the Alliance soldiers inside the bunker. You were right about that bottleneck - we're pinned at the entrance. Anything you can do from inside the base system to help us out? Automated turrets? Battle droids? Anything? :: She wished she could give him better news. The bunker was prefabricated, which meant it was very basic in it's design. It had no hidden defences or inner turrets, or even any battle droids. There weren't even any spots where ray shields had been installed besides the cells in the detention block. She was instead working as quickly as she could to gain access to the encrypted records and communications array. As it was, all she could do from the security room was temporarily block all communications from being sent out or received to the bunker.:: Sorry Zal, this is a prefab bunker, it's got nothing. Most I could do to help from here is flickering the lights to play havoc with the stormtrooper's nightvision. I'm more concerned about making sure the First Order doesn't send reinforcements, but it looks like I'll need direct access to the comm array to do it. Keep them occupied and focused on you for as long as you can, it'll make my job much easier. ::As she spoke, she sliced into the lighting control system and quickly wrote a program to have the interior base lights flicker at quick, random intervals, no more than a few seconds apart. The stormtrooper's helmets would theoretically be unable to adapt effectively to the rapid and unpredictable change in lighting. Hopefully it would give the Alliance forces a slight edge."Okay, I'm gonna head to the array. Stay here and download as much of their records as you can. The Alliance will need every scrap of information we can give them. Wait for my signal to unblock communications."With that, she unlocked the security office doors and headed out, making sure that the doors locked again behind her. She didn't want anyone bothering the astromech. She quickly, yet cautiously, moved through the detention block back into the main northern hallway. She made sure the way was clear before running northward up the hallway to where the T-intersection was. She paused for only a moment as she decided which path to take. Either way she went she would end up at the southern passage, but going east would mean running headlong into the crossfire of First Order and Alliance forces. So she turned left, taking the western passage. As she did so, she swiftly wrapped the Force around herself, once again disappearing from sight, sound and sensors. Knowing time was precious, she sprinted as fast as caution would allow her through the northwestern hallway until she reached the garage. She spotted the elevator that could take her up to the second floor, where the communications array was, but she continued heading south anyway. It would've been faster to take it, but it would alert any enemy forces on the second floor to her arrival. She needed every ounce of the element of surprise if she wanted to succeed.
Thankfully, she didn't run into any stormtroopers on the western side of the base, as they were all busy defending against the eastern entrance. She reached the southern side of the base without any difficulties, wasting no time in turning into the southern hallway. She passed by several rooms, but didn't stop to look inside them on her way to the staircase at the end of the hallway. She had just reached the bottom of the stairs when six stormtroopers came marching down the stairs, probably intending to join the defences on the eastern side of the base. The Twi'lek muttered a mandalorian curse under her breath and unholstered her twin blaster pistols. The troopers didn't know what hit them as she opened fire, mowing them down in seconds. She hoped that was the last that she would encounter as she began to climb the stairs.

The thump of blasters, the scorched smell of ozone, the scream and shout of orders. It took him back - back to the Great War. That was an entirely different time, though; a time of simplicity, where orders were given, and orders were carried out. There was the mission, and nothing else. It was that experience, the experience of five long years of constant battle, that Jashin referred to when he spoke of combat experience. Indeed, even as he reloaded, he ran a cursory eye over their own formation, and spat a curse under his breath as he slid his last missile into the tube. Their formation was sloppy. Undisciplined. These people were unaccustomed to war. This was to be expected, of course, for an impromptu fighting force that had just had its leader sent to the back of the charge.
But there was more to it. Jashin didn't WANT these people to become accustomed to war and its horrors. Jashin himself had made his peace, long ago, that he was best at killing and mayhem. That was just his lot in life. But then Sinina and these fools show up, like some damned rescue party riding out of the sunset. It made him sick. He had specifically left so he could fight this fight alone. And now...
He slammed the rocket home into the missile tube, and taking brief aim, waited for an opening in the Jedi's weaving saber - practically a blur here in the quasi darkness - before he fired the missile. Soaring through the bottleneck, the missile exploded with a dull thump: the concussion wave instantly killing those closest to the blast, the whoosh of flame sucking the oxygen out of the air, making Jashin cough slightly as air was pulled from the outside to the inside of the bunker via the hole that had been made.
Both sides were thinning out considerably. The fight would be over in a matter of seconds - which side won would be determined how each reacted to the rocket blast. For the part of the FO, though, the soldiers handled the confusion and fire admirably: a true step above their old Empire brethren, the superior and unflinching training of the FO Stormtroopers shone through. As one, the remaining troopers shrugged off and ignored the flames - their armor immune to it - and singlemindedly coordinated their fire on the advancing force. Those troopers who lived simply and calmly executing their wounded brethren before turning to do the same to the intruding Alliance force. On a whole, the missile had perhaps done more to disorient the Alliance soldiers than the FO, Jashin not taking into account the Order's superior training and methodology.
Dropping the launcher, Jashin smoothly drew his pistol and returned fire, the heavy blaster thudding away and blasting holes in ferroconcrete and whitewashed betablast Stormtrooper armor alike. On a whole, however, they had two force-sensitives and a tank, and while the sight was reassuring, the FO troopers would, calmly and collected, keep firing on the formation till they were cut down as a whole - an unnerving testimony to their determination.
"Jedi! We need to draw this thing to a close!"
