"Honey, I'll be out!"
Sherer was doing the dishes in the kitchens white dish sector, handling the washing machine. The sniper at once threw her head up. Even over the rising steam and clash of metal mugs, she could hear the heavy stomps of his combat boots. It wasnt the kind of stomping when he takes them up just for novelty, his steps were genuinly heavy, A sniper knows these things. Klinging to ones scope, one only has the scanner and ones ears to sentry ones surroundings. Heavy steps. Just like when he is fully geared for combat.
-Sherer- "How long are you out?"
The tone of a woman who is TRYING to sound casual but fails miserably. A normal husband would at once catch up on it, and Duke would have if he had not taken the warpath. He was pissed. Either dumb Di'kuta Darmanda would find themselves in little scattered pieces or he will have to take Lekku throphies from lieing manipulating egoistical wormheads. All in all, someone will die.
"Soon."
Sherer blinked. Then she blinked again. Then she ran to get her gear. She ran like a woman who believed her man is about to make a huge mistake, and she better be there to remind him off it.
two hours later a replacement for the cantina staff, and they were off for ryloth.

*Just before heading out to find some work, Spectre hit up his old haunt. The 'baat. He sat in his corner booth, buy'ce on the table, listening to the low rumble of conversation. Eating his stew and drinking black ale. Several minutes go by and he finishes, the staff clear his table and brings him ti'haar. After downing a few, he sits and holds a double. Just trying to remember. Since he can't force himself, he just lets his mind wander. Letting the emotions of what he forgot fill him up the best it can.*

Aeleus listened intently to Fenri has he went through Mandalore's history. It was interesting, angering, and saddening all at once. Physically he just sat there, his visor pointed out into the city as Fenri spoke. Mandalore had been defeated, but its soil had not truly been set upon by enemy armies. He could solace in that. "If we have time I would like to visit the city archive as well. I will need to see the battle reports. Casualty counts on all sides, ship losses..."Aeleus was going to try and determine if the Mandalorians had fought well in the wars mentioned. He had no doubt, seeing the way the city had evolved over the millennia. But the Taung still had to know. As they arrived at the Oyu'baat and walked in, Aeleus looked around. His buy'ce hid his identity for now, but once he ordered a drink it was up to the Gods. He could be judged as a failure and a coward, even if he was not, or be scorned by others as a false echo of the past. There was also the possibility that anyone who saw him might act the same way as the Mandalorian Ezakk of clan Lok did. He could not believe he was wanting to be tried as an alternative.Aeleus sat at the table, across from Fenri and continued looking around, his buy'ce still on his head. He was growing uncomfortable. As the droid servant that Fenri called over came, he told the droid his order, and the droid turned to Fenri for his order."Muninar gai'ka be Tihaar bal shatual loras."Aeleus turned back to Fenri to speak more about what their plans here."So where do the aliit'alor meet if the Mand'alor is missing or gone?" The service droid looks to Fenri who asks for the same drink as Aeleus. The droid then departs for the bartender to get them. The Fett shrugs slightly at the question involving the aliit'alor. You are talking to a Fett who has lived most of his life on Concord Dawn. I was never really involved in clan politics due to my status among the clan. However, there is a history with the Oyu'baat being the unofficial meeting place of the Mandalorian clan leaders. However, I suspect the Mandalorian Empire has a government complex somewhere. The droid returns, handing the two their drinks. Fenri sets his helmet upon the table so that he could drink his Tihaar. If you were to review the records of Mandalore's past, Aeleus, you would be there for another few thousand years. Its a lot of history to take in since you went into your slumber. The evolution of our people since the days of Mand'alor the First, the Conqueror and the Indomitable.

Aeleus nodded his head in thanks to the service droid. While it was a machine, it had accomplished its task quickly, while he suspected the shatual meat was still being cooked. Aeleus turned his attention back to Fenri, who had taken off his helmet to drink.
"Politics is not my strongest suit. I am a warrior by nature, as you should know of me by now. But if this place is where the aliit'alor meet, it is good we came here. Keep your eyes open for anyone that looks important. Maybe we can get in on the meeting."
Aeleus finally took off his helmet, revealing himself as a Taung. So far no one that had noticed seemed to acknowledge it, but already Fenri and him were getting odd and curious glances. Aeleus ignored them.
"Well I suppose I will have to go into stasis with the Galactic Book on Mand'ade History, won't I?"
As Aeleus chuckled at his own joke, the service droid finally came back with the plate of roasted shatual meat he had also ordered, cooked rare and still bloody. Aeleus said a small blessing to the God Kad Ha'Rangir before lifting his glass of Tihaar to Fenri.
"K'oyacyi."
Aeleus tilted the glass back and the Mandalorian drink went down his throat. By the time he had set it down, two thirds of it were already gone. Aeleus could not hide the tears in his eyes. It was his first drink of the Mandalorian spirit since he had been taken out of cryo stasis. But, the burn was good. He was home. He lifted the shatual meat to his nose before biting into it, chasing the Tihaar with a big bite of the cooked meat. He spoke after he had swallowed.
"Good, just as I remember it. Not so much has changed for me not to be able to recognize the food and drink."

There was a sign over the Kitchen door, and at the counter. It said:

He chuckles lightly at Aeleus's remark involving the history of Mandalore and how long it would take to read it. He watches as the Taung drinks his own glass before taking another swig of his own.You will see that while Mandalore has greatly evolved, there are some things that haven't. For instance, what I would say was one of the most revolutionary changes ever happened during the reign of Mand'alor the Ultimate, the last Taung to claim the title of Mand'alor. His reforms, known as the Neo-Crusader Movement and aided by his strategist, Cassus Fett, allowed all who followed our principles and proved themselves to be worthy could join the Mandalorian society.

Aeleus drank deeply from his glass again. It had been several thousand years too long since he had last drank with fellow Mandalorians. He was not about to let the time go to wasted, or sober. The second drink from the glass went down far smoother than the first, as he readjusted to the much more potent spirit that his people favored. He listened to Fenri more, speaking when something caught his interest.
"My armor is...well...was a new Crusader model that had been smithed by my Uncle. He was very talented, and included me in the process. He did not think the spikes on the pauldron and arm guard were necessary. They ended up being more useful than my beskad sometimes. To impale an enemy using an extension of your flesh...it is very satisfying."
Aeleus slapped his left shoulder twice, where the spiked pauldron was, before looking around and continuing the conversation. People were still glancing over, but none of them had the guts to come over and speak. He did not mind the uninterupted conversation, but it was disappointing that everyone seemed to be minding their business. Lack of guts. He could feel the defeat in many of the people here's hearts. Still too soon after such a major defeat.
"We had few other species join us besides the Mandallian Giants, but other member species were not unheard of. Humans were hated, but again, not so rare as the years went on. After all, they had bested us as well in the early days on Coruscant, before we became Mando'ade. I am sure you must know the stories? They were told to us all as children, at least during my time."

Fenri did not respond immediately afterwards as his communication device began going off. The Mandalorian keys the transmission, noticing that it was a known frequency of the government and clan leaders. He listens to it for a moment.Priority transmission. All Aliit'alors and clan representatives; report to Mandalore for and urgent assembly. Coordinates to the exact location of will be transmitted along with this message. After the transmission ends, Fenri finishes his Tihaar quickly and looks at Aeleus. His eyes were already noticing that some people began to leave.Seems we got something big, Aeleus. A transmission just came in, government frequency. Seems there is to be a gathering of Aliit'alors and clan representatives here, on Mandalore and at the Oyu'baat. Finish that drink. I suspect people will be arriving shortly.

Aeleus frowned as people began to leave the Oyu-baat, as if making way for something more important to come in. It was at this point that Fenri mentioned a tranmission he received. His helmet's communications equipment had not picked it up, but he was glad Fenri had his own communicator handy.
Aeleus downed the rest of his Tihaar and set the glass down on top of his empty plate of shatual juices. He wiped his face and his yellow eyes began to scan the room to see if anyone important looking had arrived yet.
"It seems you brought us to the right place then. Fate is our ally. Let us hope we will be granted audience."
Aeleus began preparing himself for the meeting. He was not versed in politics, but perhaps he could have some input on ideas for the future.

There was a sliding hiss as the door opened. Ezakk stepped through the threshold into the cantina and looked about. People were scurrying about, all of which seemed eager and intent on leaving the cantina. A couple of patrons bumped into him on their hurried exit from the bar. He didn't understand what was happening. However, he did notice two men not leaving the place in a frantic hustle; they looked oddly familiar too. Ezakk, with metallic steps, moseyed over to the two.
Well, what do we have here? His voice was friendly, though there was a hint of confusion in his voice.

A grey Meteor-class Q-carrier gently sets down in a designated spot; the four retractable legs extend just before touching the ground. The boarding ramp descends and four Mandalorians descend down in full ash-grey Mandalorian body armor accented in purple stripes. Though perhaps intimidating to others, to Verds they seem just like one of them. None carried any other heavy ammunition, just side arms.
They filed into the cantina, removed their helmets and sat around a table together-- meaning not to be intrusive to any of their ner'vod nearby. . . .

Is it for similar reasons?"

*Everyone scurried out, that wasn't non-essential. He got the memo that clan leaders were meeting here. Spectre didn't even know if he was one or the only one. Regardless he stuck around until someone tried to make him move. Emphasis on try. He sat in his corner booth, looking up want ads on HNN on his datapad and sipping on his double of ti'haar. Unmoved, unbothered by anyone or anything.*

He nodded to the other Mandalorian at the table. The two of them didn't look any different than what they did in the holo, except they have color to them. The bit about the clan leaders intrigued him, though. He wasn't sure who the aliit'alor of Clan Lok was, hell, he wasn't even sure if there was one. But, looking aroud, he did not see anyone with the Lok insignia on their armor, so he figured he'd represent his clan. Well... uh... I came to Mandalore to protect my family.

He stood outside of the door to the 'baat, silently staring at the ancient door. He shoved his buy'ce on his head, his black beskar'gam seeming to suck in the light, the green highlights on his shoulder plates almost glowing against the dark backdrop. He opened the door and stepped through into the meeting place of his people. He let the door swing shut behind him and slowly scanned the room, noting who was where, who was here, and what was going on. He held that spot for a number of minutes, the handle of his shotgun poking up over his right shoulder, the hilt of his beskad jutting just above his head, the signature chain wrapped around his left arm, the handle dangling slightly, a blaster resting comfortably on his left hip. He didn't say anything. just looked.

Mand'alor Ashrah.Fenri finishes his drink quickly and stands up, putting his helmet underneath his armpit. His mind was wondering when the others would arrive and what the meeting would be about.

A small insectoid type holo walker entered the 'Baat, projecting the image of Goran Beviin, since the man had been unable to come in person to this meeting of the aliit'alor's. The holo walker moved over behind a table and came to a rest, as the holo projection of Goran seemed to look around the room, checking out all who were present at the meeting as he waited for it to begin

*The door comes swinging open and lo an behold, the black bes'kar clad leader of the Mando'ade himself comes breezing in in the only fashion he knows how to walk into a room. Not a slight hint of bother or defeat on his shoulders. Nope. He just slips in like he owns the place. Which technically he does, but that's besides the point. Everybody else jumps up when Ashrah walks in, Spectre looks up from his datapad, glances at him and goes back to reading his datapad. Since he wasn't given the order to stand, Spectre stayed right where he was until someone told him to move or tried to move him. Which ever came first.*

Aeleus nodded his approval at Ezakk's answer. It was honorable to protect one's family. To do that, however, he would have to protect Mandalore. They were all one family. Aeleus put on his helmet, hiding his identity as a Taung to anyone who had not already made him out to be one. Aeleus crossed his arms before he spoke."Mandalore is a good place to start for that goal."Fenri looks at those coming into the Oyu'baat and then pauses at the sight of Mand'alor Ashrah. Aeleus tilted his head to listen toFenri, and then looked out to the man Fenri nodded in the direction of. The Taung looked over the man's black beskar'gam, which represented Justice, while the green on his shoulder plates meant Duty. Aeleus's black visor would not give away his stare, but it could no doubt be felt. All eyes would no doubt turn to the Mand'alor. He indeed have a commanding presence, but his recent losses were well known, at least to those who had not been stuck in a stasis pod for the past couple thousand years. Defeat or not, he still held the title of Mand'alor.Aeleus nodded to himself and walked across the Oyu'baat to Mand'alor Ashrah. He slapped his right fist to his chest, over his heart, and bowed his head, concealed by his buy'ce."Su'cuy, Mand'alor Ashrah. I am Aeleus of clan Vizsla. I have heard much. It is good you have come."Aeleus waited to be addressed by the Mand'alor.

Ashrah looked up at the Taung in front of him, slowly. He reached up and pulled his buy'ce off his head, revealing his matted dark hair, emerald green eyes and scarred face. He locked eyes (at least he assumed it was eye) with Aeleus and nodded
"Well met Aeleus. Now. I need a beer"
He slapped the big Taung on the shoulder with his left hand and moved to grab some draught and sat down in an empty chair, raising his mug to those gathered
"OYA!"
Lowering the mug he slammed it back in one go and slammed it back on the table.
"Where is Cath? He called this meeting of the minds. "
