=Nal Card= Welllllcome, Vaulkhar of the Bloodrage Pirates, to the privileged space and attention of the Jinn Cabal. My master, Scar, extends a personal greeting and offers the lavish hospitality of the Core Ship to you and your crew. If possible, we would like you to bring a sample of what you have in store. We can negotiate and discuss in a conferencve room. Vaulkhar strode off the end of the passenger ramp of his ship. He had waited until the hydraulics had fully extended the ramp and it had clattered against the deck of the Core Ship. As he met Nal Card, three of the crew exited the ship and began to lock it down and take care of the standard maintenance.
"A conference room would be most welcome. My crew have had a long trip in the cramped conditions of a military ship, no luxuries. Could you have some food prepared for us? Then we can discuss a sample."
Vaulkhar gestured politely, with his arm, for Nal to proceed back the way he came. The Executioner was prepared to follow him to a conference room and once settled, he would inform his crew. They had their own work to do securing the ship before any possibility of down-time.

Bloodrage Pirates The Muun nods his head eagerly.=Nal Card= But of course! Nothing but the best for our treasured clients.Gesturing to a viewport, the humanoid indicates the Outer Ring of the former warship.=Nal Card= My superiors have offered not only rooms and refreshment upon the Sphere, but also extend your crew to enjoy the bazaars and casinos of the Outer Ring. My master is so generous that he is offering to cover ten thousand credits, at the gambling tables, for each of your crew members you brought aboard.Quickly though, the Muun raises a finger and shakes it slightly.=Nal Card= But be careful, beyond that and that will have to come out of their personal pockets. With a flourish of his long sleeves, the attendant gestures to the doorway, along with bowing his head slightly.=Nal Card= Come! Come! My attendants will show your crew to their quarters while we move to the conference room. Food and drinks will be dispensed there while we discuss business, honored Vaulkhar. All the necessities and formalities done to impress any and all clients with deep connections and pockets. However, unlike the Hutts and their scheming, the Jinn Cabal wanted what every other smuggler, criminal, and pirate wanted in the galaxy: credits. And they would ensure a fair price to the spice they could gain. For partnerships were strengthened by trust and good coin after all.

A matalok dropped out of hyperspace and gave a quick scan of the system and then moved into the atmosphere.

A few days later the matalok climbed into vacuum and jumped to hyperspace.

A bright flash of light preluded the arrival of a C-9979 modular frigate as it emerged from the swirling blue bands of hyperspace, rapidly decelerating from lightspeed as it entered the star system, ion drive thrusters taking over as its four long wings began to bank towards the planet of Tatooine. Quadanium steel plates reflected the oppressive heat of the twin suns the system was famous for, causing celestial steam to bleed off the hull and leave a vast fog like contrail behind the landing craft as it began its descent towards the surface of the planet. Hidden in the shadows cast by its long wings were four Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wings, escorting the Dragenburg on its maiden voyage across the stars. Behind the cockpit of each star shaped snubfighter was a quick reflexed ranat pilot, chittering to each other over a shared channel in rapidly spoken squeaks that were near indecipherable for any unfamiliar with the dialect of Dragusblight. After hitting the upper atmosphere, the frigate and its escort set a deliberate course towards Mos Espa.

Contrails of toxic smoke and radioactive particulate belched from the supped up engines of an extensively modified C-9979 modular frigate, affectionally referred to by the greatest Alchemical Artisan of the modern age (or any age really if you thought about it) as the "Dragenburg". After clearing the naturally formed gravity well of the planet, the wicked rusting winger contraption rapidly accelerated to lightspeed, lunging into the swirling blue banded dimension of hyperspace on a course for nearby Sullust.

A small vessel burst into Tantoonie orbit. The ship, a YT 1300 Corellian light freighter aptly dubbed The Utopic Vulture, immediately began moving ever so quietly towards the planet. A thin sheet of white smoke came emanating from the exhaust but this dissipated quickly. On board were our motley crew of friends. The hound could feel the subtle turn the ship took while entering orbit. He sat more alert. Maureen in turn was shaken but less by the movement of the ship and more so by the reaction of the dog. But she too remained mute. The little girl remained in her seat looking blankly at the wall. Something was changing but something was always changing among this lot. As, the babe and the beast struggled internally with the change in direction Grace too snapped to attention. Standing the woman immediately began a silent inventory of the many weapons and incendiary devices that covered her body.. And internally she did spoke -Grace- “Gun under my left arm; ditto with the right…. Now my sabre.” Hand reaching belt she smiled. And so on and so forth down the line. With a snap of the chin asking -Grace- “Boland, where the farce have you brought us?” Boland, eyes and hands focused on the scene ahead, answered -Boland- “Baby do you find that sand is coarse rough and gets everywhere?” Face palming with a now shaking right hand Grace said pleadingly-Grace- Tatoonie….. A bloody desert. Boland why?” Eyes rolling the man snapped back -Boland- “Notice that neither Maureen nor that mangey muttare complaining?” The little girl and the beast sat passively watching. Perched in a corner The Raven sat observing. If not for having a morbid interest in their methods of communication the bird would have incinerated the pair

Bright crackling discharges of void lightning disturbed the vacuum of space as something large forced its way through the narrow opening of a hyperspace wormhole, tearing a wide gash in the fabric of real space, causing the swirling blue bands of the lightspeed dimension to briefly bleed into the star system. The large object revealed itself to be a spacecraft of gargantuan proportions, roughly four thousand meters in length, what a laymen might classify as a heavy destroyer or battlecruiser. Its hull was black and angular, reflecting star light off its obsidian pyramid shaped surface, studded with hundreds of weapon turrets that trailed wisps of cooked ozone as blaster barrels warmed. Named the Maw, the frightful Freedon-class Star Pyramid glided across the star system towards the planet of Tatooine, unopposed in its direct course for the sun baked planet's dry atmosphere. It made no hail, nor did it transmit any transponder information, eschewing any form of contact or identification in favour of absolute silence. It didn't even give warning as the massive mobile city-ship barged through regular routes of civilian traffic, instead pushing smaller vessels from its path with tractor beams if they were lucky, and smashing the rest aside with the relentless passage of its armoured bulk.
There was no authority to stop them. Out here on the edge of civilized space, there was no law except that which the isolated worlds of the Outer Rim could enforce on there own, if they could even muster the funds to field a defense force. Tatooine, long independent since the Hutts last turn of fortune, had none to speak of.
Orange plasma blooms trailed the sinister pyramid as it entered the upper atmosphere, activating numerous banks of repulsor jets the second it left the vacuum of space, burning chemical exhaust as it decelerated on its descent towards the surface of the planet. Battered and broken ships smashed from its path followed in its wake, pulled into its slip stream to burn up on entry, streaking towards the Dune Sea in a mock meteor shower.

Four flashes of light signalled the arrival of a quartet of Vindicator-class heavy cruisers, their bayonet shaped prows slicing through the airless wake of the open void, plunging into the star system as they slipped the lightspeed shackles of hyperspace. Shields were raised the moment they emerged from the swirling blue banded wormhole, followed closely by charging turbolaser banks as fleet technicians calculated firing solutions on any civilian vagrants found in and around orbit. Crimson lances of broiling plasma roared from the mouths of swiveling turrets, belched across the star speckled backdrop of space, to strike merchant vessels emerging from the planet's atmosphere. Burning shrapnel and fiery debris rained back down to the surface as freighter craft were ripped apart but concussive turbolaser blasts, immolating their crew and cargoes in an instant, while hails for clemency or mercy fell on deaf ears. These four warships were crewed almost entirely by Nu-Jakes, genetically enhanced clone soldiers from Kamino, utterly obedient to the Sith Eternal. Psycho-indoctrinated from the point of creation, their loyalty was absolute, as was their inherent lack of compassion. "Keep up the pressure." Said a dispassionate voice belonging to a third generation Nu-Jake in a captain's uniform, occupying the command throne of the lead Vindicator, 'Umbramoth'. In response, the gunners at their stations approached their duty with unusual gusto, going so far as to pick off wounded stragglers just to prove a point. The Sith Eternal...was here to stay. Swarms of hornet-class interceptors buzzed out of the hangars of all four cruisers, set loose to stalk whatever prey they could scrounge up, which mostly consisted of smugglers attempting to make a break for it. The super-charged sting of their laser cannons tore through the protective durasteel shell of holo-net relays strung throughout orbit, blasting any such device found into molten scrap to be added to the ring of debris forming in orbit, effectively cutting off communication with the greater galaxy. This portion of the Fleet of Famine focused its efforts first on the region of space locked in synchronous orbit over Tatooine's largest settlement of Mos Eisely, then spread outwards to encircle the globe, with each warship occupying a different hemisphere. The Umbramoth to the north, the Hssiss to the south, while the Mutate and the Tuk'ata looked after the eastern and western continents. Nuclear blooms erupted from the sand swallowed dunes like wildflower blossoms in spring, as orbital lance strikes punched the planet's surface, reminding the population they were there as each rising mushroom cloud came accompanied by a rumbling ground quake as the barrage from space was playing havoc on Tatooine's tectonics. This created dust storms of radioactive particulate that drove the sun baked desert people to hide in their caves an ancestral safe spaces. Then the shuttle craft launched, brick shaped atmospheric assault landers and low altitude assault transports in carrier configuration, joined by reinforced armoured drop pods that were engulfed in swirling orange flames that carbon scored their surface black and superheated the exterior plating until it glowed a blistering white, trailing long tails of choking black smoke as they hurtled through the atmosphere to impact across the surface of the planet. The launched ground forces coordinated with the Maw, which was already positioned over Mos Eisely, taking place in a scientific study looking in to the effects of gray-rot. The Freedon-class Star Pyramid was already responsible for the destruction of the Sand People Enclave, which was just another in a long line of ruined settlements across the planet. Previous the Dark Apothecary had visited Mos Espa in person, where he ordered the entire population flayed for its skin, a covetous resource to the professional flesh sculptor. Elsewhere, the criminal crocodilian haemonculus Don Dragleoni, had ransacked Jabba's palace with the aid of a group of Black Fang thugs. There was hardly a speck of sand across the surface of the world that the devious draconian mastermind hadn't violated in some manner."Sir." Said an NJ1 radar tech aboard the Hssiss, addressing the NJ3 serving as captain of the heavy cruiser, who swiveled in his seat to meet the vacant stare of the tech's black featureless visor. "We're tracking unusual movement on the surface. Seismological probes placed across the Dune Sea are picking up an unusual amount of tectonic activity." "After shocks from the turbolaser barrage, perhaps?" Suggested the Captain, stroking his perfectly quaffed goatee. "That's just it, Captain." Replied the radar tech. "None of our strikes have targeted that region. The probes data seems to suggest something...burrowing, beneath the surface. Something large. Very large." Rising from his seat, the Captain stepped towards the view screen dominating the centre of the bridge, stopping a few feet from its luminous surface. A visual feed from a string of satellites strung throughout orbit provided a magnified image of the arid desert below, displacing dirt in a large hill sized mound that stretched back across the Dune Sea like an infinite snake. The captain touched a point on the screen with two index fingers, then moved his hands apart, sharpening the magnified image as he observed the greater area around it."Whatever it is, it's moving towards Mos Eisley."

And the Utopic Vulture rose up from the surface into the lonely orbit of Tatooine, then racing out… out… out, then unceremoniously making the leap into hyperspace

After the quartet of Vindicator-class heavy cruisers had encircled the sand covered and sun baked globe of Tatooine, tugs arrived from hyperspace, dragging with them a Golan III Space Defense NovaGun. The maneuverable weapons platform was pulled into a synchronous orbit over Mos Eisely, the defacto capital of the planet, which was currently besieged by strange paranormal events as the spirit of Dune Sea responded to the acts of savage barbarity enacted by the sinister servants of the Famine Lord. Three hundred Nu-Jakes in the red gammaplast plate of the Sith Eternal were already stationed aboard the platform, which had been christened as 'Sarlacc Station', under the direct command of the sovereign protector Jake Earl Jones (though he typically went by JJ). Meanwhile, the four cruisers taking up positions around the planet's hemispheres began to deploy a total of seventy-two Imperial defense satellites, stringing them through orbit to provide the Golan platform with useful surface telemetry. Despite originally being designed for defense, the network of satellites had their weapon systems pointed towards Tatooine, rather than away from it. An old NOE tactic and one that spoke to the current times they found themselves in. The notorious Order of the Eye had been more concerned about projecting power and inspiring fear amongst the slave populations of its territories than they were of outside threats. After all, who would dare challenge them? Likewise, the Sith Eternal now found itself in a similar position of galactic supremacy. Even the famed and now fractured First Order paled in comparison to the martial might of the Sith.
These were not just any Sith either, but mercantile masters of industry, whose wealth now exceeded the greedy barons of the Jedi Lords and the wealthy aristocracy of the Core worlds. These were no mere Sith Lords; these were Spice Lords, those that ensured the flow of their precious product to every corner of their enigmatic empire and beyond, addicting the inhabitants of the galaxy with reckless abandon.
Commander Jones savoured the remaining few sips of Pzobian bloodwine occupying his glass before slipping on his helmet and emerging from his private quarters attached to the bridge. More than the cape that hung from his shoulders and the emotionless visor of his helm, it was the two pronged ceremonial blaster he held that stood out foremost as the Sovereign Protector's badge of office. He walked among ranks of soldiers as helmed and faceless as himself, gene bred for obedience and psycho-indoctrinated to serve the vile whims of their cruel hearted masters. For now, the Commander's attention was focused on a tactical projection displayed on a holo-table near the centre of the bridge, which displayed all available information they had on whatever was occurring down on the surface. A sandstorm was currently obscuring Mos Eisley and the massive star pyramid known as the Maw that was currently parked above its rooftops, disrupting the newly positioned stations communications with the Famine Lord's flagship. The odds of the inhabitants of Dragustan running into anything they couldn't handle on their own were slim, so the Commander wasn't immediately concerned by the communication lag. For now they waited, observing the odd weather patterns.
