Myrkr, Obroa-skai, and Contruum aren’t necessarily too remote or isolated, but they are among the outside of Mandalorian Space possessions that are still close enough to the home systems to keep the storyline focused a bit more. Which in the case of the three would warrant as being more remote than others.

Okay, so we'll say Myrkr second, maybe when the bad guys are leaving they jump straight there so there's no time to prepare a defense. I have no preference for the first location so y'all decide. Keeping in mind that the first location is going to be surprised so they are going to get it particularly nasty. What sort of scope are we looking for when it comes to fleet stuff? Like, are you guys gunna want to each use like one main capital ship plus all the support craft, or do you want it to be massive where everybody is making use of their full complements? I just want to have a picture in my head for the scale of this since initially the bad guys are going to come in overwhelmingly. Also, if there are any specific ships or vehicles or foot soldiers you are really excited to face, now is a good time to let me know before I start putting things together. That way I can customize it based on your preferences. I know I'm not as big a ship guy as some of you so I am probably most familiar with the Galactic Civil War era Imperial ships, but I'm prepared to do some reading and learn about some other ones you guys really want to fight. I was thinking about using Shadow Droids for most of the starfighters since it's keeps with the half machine/half flesh theme.

Not so much a unit we will face, but one for us to use. What's the state of Basilisk War Droids in our version of Star Wars. Maybe this could be an opportunity for us to revive the creation of them and that's what helps ultimately turn the tide?

There was someone who did have 'blueprints' for a new model and offered them up as a gift to be elected Mandalore. But instead, Dral was elected. It would be a good opportunity to make our own 'new' version of the Basilisk War Droid. I think we even had pictures. I think we used these.

I love the concept art. Thing looks like it is about to rip the wings off that TIE fighter.

Those do look pretty awesome indeed!! I really dig Vera's idea about them being revived and helping to turn the tide too, so it gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from me

I like the concept art too, though I feel like something distinctly Mandalorian is lost by not having the pilot/rider exposed.

I like the concept art too, though I feel like something distinctly Mandalorian is lost by not having the pilot/rider exposed. The old models had the rider/pilot be pretty exposed too. They rode on top of them and you had a clear shot front and back. Granted the older models had bigger wings to cover their pilots flanks, but still pretty exposed. Actually, looking at the design of the newer model, the pilot is in a cockpit compared to the more exposed original design. Seems more a starfighter now? Could always try a story of reverse engineering one of the few museum models. But feel like that would have been done by now.

count me in, with this character and my other mando character.
I had this thought in my head since my second coffee break at work, what if the new Mand'alor rises up from a cloud of dust and debris on top of an older war droid and sends a signal of sorts and newer war droids proceed to rise up behind them.
Thoughts?

I mean, maybe not if the museums aren't keen to part with a prized part of their collection? Or if they recall the devastation these massive things could cause and didn't feel like it would be the responsible thing to let the Mando's have them back? I don't know, just an idea

Or if they recall the devastation these massive things could cause and didn't feel like it would be the responsible thing to let the Mando's have them back? I don't know, just an idea ================= "During the Galactic Civil War, engineers were able to acquire schematics for manufacturing recreations of the ancient Basilisk war droids. The droids the engineers designed were largely similar to the animalistic incarnation of the Basilisk, though they incorporated a pair of hind legs in addition to the long-standing front set, and could only carry one rider. During the early portion of the war between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, these war droids were available for purchase to a number of spacers." ================= A quote from the article about them. Perhaps there is schematics hidden somewhere on say... Obroa-skai? It is a world known for its data collecting. I would love to see these come back as a decisive factor that turns the war into the favor of the Mandalorians. I'd find someway to make it work, Vera! count me in, with this character and my other mando character. I had this thought in my head since my second coffee break at work, what if the new Mand'alor rises up from a cloud of dust and debris on top of an older war droid and sends a signal of sorts and newer war droids proceed to rise up behind them. Thoughts? Welcome! Glad to have both of your characters. Hmmm the thing is, from what we know, by the time of the New Republic, they are largely destroyed or decommissioned. Might be better to remake them with modern technology by using a decommissioned model/blueprints to make it work.

Ah. I'd skipped to the last paragraph where they are practically out of circulation. But yes, could dig up some old files and get to updating the arms and armor

I was more or less thinking that it would like the remains of an old one. Like the Mando on top could be someone who everyone thought had died and then boom there they are atop of the remains of an old war droid, sort of a way to give a renewal of hope to the remaining Mandos. Just an idea I had while drinking coffee, looked pretty neat in my head.

Kaine owns one, but he restored and modernized it himself. I'd say they're rare but not unheard of.

as far as I have seen and known on JvS, Basilisk War Droids never really went out of production/were decommissioned. Seen a few people with them over the years, and even had one with an alt a little while back.
Pretty sure the Mandos had a few for the invasions of Yavin and Kuat...

Well this seems more of a case of personal usage vs mass production though. And, in this case, we are looking at mass production. Now, when I say mass produced, this is a note for everyone, I am not saying tens of thousands, but more of a presence to where they aren't a rare sight. ======== Vera Fett Maybe go for using both Kaine's model and old schematics to make one as a mass produced model for the Mandalorian armed forces. ======== Kaine Australis spoke to me about possible first actions, given the three more isolated/remote territories from the main Mandalorian Space holdings. Contruum - Space Battle/Sabotage of Shipyards Obroa-skai - Raid for Intel from its Databanks Myrkr - Some sort of massacre from the sounds of Dragus and Kaine

Vera Fett No problems. We can make one to order through MandalArms if you like? Or find an old one and you can restore it and customize it yourself.

Preemptively people might want to start thinking about giving their characters a reason to be there, whether just stopping by to refuel or whatever many number of motivations there are. Unless someone would prefer to show up after or during. Once everybody is ready to start, I'll have a ridiculous force drop out nowhere and we can kick things off with some real chaos.

I think the last thing to consider is who is willing and able to be the Mandalore that will eventually rise up and take command of the clans when the time is right?
