As the fleet dropped out of orbit at the location of open space where nothing was except blackness. This was to be the location of the meeting for the Imperial Fleets, from here it was just a hop and a skip to the planet currently under siege. Putting their IFF tags to friendly they waited for the others to arrive.

Reverting back into real space precisely at the coordinates that the Grand Admiral had designated for the rendezvous, the Imperial 2nd Fleet arrives in a loose formation of arrowheads of various sizes. Aboard the Iron Clad, Grand Admiral Sarah Dodonna stands towards the back of the bridge in the fleet's command and control center (or "CIC" for short) alongside Rear Admiral Vossis. In front of them is the peak of tactical monitoring technology; every ship in the fleet's sensors are coordinated, processed and displayed via holoprojector to paint a near perfect picture of the battle space around the fleet. At the moment only two fleets were on display amid the nothingness of space.
While they are busy, a signal bound for Imperial High Command is rerouted to the ship. Ensign Lockely, charged with monitoring interplanetary transmissions in addition to assisting with interfleet communications, receives the message. He immediately takes it to the lieutenant who oversaw the pool of officers in charge of communications. He in turn brings it to the attention of Captain Beige, who takes a moment to review it before approaching the admirals.
"Admiral Dodonna, Admiral Vossis," shifting his gaze from one admiral to the other, "we have receive a transmission from the Valheru. They report that they are currently in the Prakith system and are awaiting orders."
Sarah takes a moment to think, then turns to Vossis. "I will take care of this, contact the other fleet and begin coordinating."
"Yes ma'am."
She moves away from the projector and to the communications section of the bridge.

Each of the ships that had managed to make the jump faster than Dodannas fleet momentarily aimed at her ships, before noticing the IFF gave them the friendly signal. Pointing away the head of this battle group Admiral Cole decided to contact the whole thing. The blue form of an aging 70 year old Admiral would come onto whichever ship was the head of it all. Taking off his hat he showed his receding hair line. How nice of you to join us, whats the battle plan? One of the most notable parts of the fleet is the fact that there are 30 THIRTY SSDs floating around space looking all menacing. Of course they couldnt be real, they were part of a gag patent from years ago where the person made inflatable SSDs; these ones just held a fighter and 1/3 hold a type of nuclear device. Besides this there are 8 other ships floating through space, some of the smallest Star Destroyers ever made weighting in at 600 meters long the Aggressor was a best for shield draining while the 3 superior battle cruisers were the ones that sent out a punch.

As the image of the Admiral flared to life in Bajos' office, so to did his image appear to her, equally as patchy and indistinct. Nevertheless, made of light and a fraction of his height, the image of Bajos Terrak still managed to instill a sense of menace and dread, his features captured enough to portray the belligerent nature and savage temper. A brief incline of the head preceded his voice growling over the comm. The planet is under attack from multiple fleets. We are too far our for an accurate count but there appears to be well over a dozen ships massing in orbit over Prak City. It seems as though most of the planetary defenses have been destroyed and much of the terrain surrounding the city had been hit by heavy orbital bombardment. There was a pause and the image of Bajos seemed to look at something off camera. His voice returned calmly, as if stating the Smashball results. It would appear we have been spotted, Admiral... Another pause and the image reached for something. When the voice returned it was obvious that he was addressing someone else and purposely leaving the comm channel open.Captain Garth. Deploy a squadron of fighters to screen us and position keep us behind the moon. I want those ships in our lap before they realise what we are. Again a pause, this time with no movement from Bajos. Was that an insolent smile, or a concerned frown?I assume I can expect the honour of your company soon, Admiral?

Vossis manages to conceal a dirty look shot at Admiral Cole. "How nice of you to join us,"? The smug old man, didn't he realize this was a new empire. This is no galaxy for old men.
Admiral Cole, this is Rear Admiral Vossis. We are currently in the process of attaining the information necessary to develop a plan.
Before he could continue, Sarah returns to the holoprojector giving Vossis a stern look. He was able to hide the mean look he had aimed at Cole, but apparently he couldn't suppress the annoyance in his voice. She holds up a hand to quite her subordinate and inserts herself into the conversation.
Admiral, we are patching in Lord Terrak who is on scene and will assist us in planning our counter attack.
She presses a button on a small console attached to the projector.
Lord Terrak, repeat what you told me to Admirals Cole and Vossis.

The big Sith kept one eye on the sensor display as the Valheru settled into position behind the irregular lump of rock that was the outer moon, the eighth of such satellites, as it drifted towards its inner most point of the system. The distance between the Star Destroyer and those sent to investigate was closing rapidly but Bajos felt confident that he could spare the Admiral a few more minutes. Unfortunately by concealing themselves behind the moon they had also lost line of sight with the approaching ships and those in orbit around Prakith forcing Bajos to rely on the readings they had taken just before they had assumed their current position.Prakith is in trouble...The head bobbed briefly in greeting to the other two admirals, no pleasantries other than that. His firm and commanding voice carried over the comm despite the interference his image was suffering, the confident drawl consistent with his implacable features. Our scans are vague due to the distance and the interference but it is apparent that several fleets are currently engaged in assaulting the planet. There is little in the way of defensive fire so I'd have to assume that the planetary defenses have been neutralised, or at least nearly so. There were anomalies in our readings consistent with that of a serious amount of debris, most of its centered over the plateau where Prak City is located. Likewise our readings indicated a severe amount of destruction in the area around the city, heat signatures consistent with orbital bombardment. The image paused to tilt its head, allowing them to absorb the information before clasping its arms behind his back and continuing. The enemy, at least three separate fleets, probably four, have congregated over that area and are continuing their attacks. It is likely they would have finished off the orbital satellites by now and are deploying shuttles or fighters to the surface, depending on their intent.Another pause, the hungry grin and savage smile wasted on the scaled down version of himself portrayed across the stars.Apart from the small force headed to investigate my position most of the enemy ships are congregated in geosynchronous orbit over Prak City. If we were to jump a flotilla of sufficient size directly to the planet, and with Prakith's two moons where they are, we could trap the enemy between us and the planet, the two satellites making it difficult for them to gain a decent counter-attacking position. The hologram fell silent as Bajos awaited their reply...

Sarah's brow furrows with thought, Terrak's idea was good...if executed properly.
This is a good start, but we are going to need more ships if we are to have any hope of beating them. With a third fleet we could...
She begins fiddling with the controls for the holoprojector, creating a crude three dimensional image. Illustrated is a large mass of circles representing the enemy fleets and groups of triangles representing the imperial ships.
...both outmaneuver them and keep them bunched together. Instead of entering the system in a single formation, each fleet would enter the system at an angle. One would enter so that the enemy formation would both in front and below them, the second would be in a position so the enemy would in front and to port, and the third would be similar to the second except the enemy would be to their starboard side. From those positions we would force them to to divide their fire and would have room to move to prevent any possible enemy maneuvers.
That being said, they still needed another fleet and the Valheru had incoming.
Terrak, how do you think you will fair against the enemy heading to your position and possible reinforcements?

He shrugged nonchalantly at her question, his diffident reply sounding more like he was considering whether to have the merlot or the cava...I daresay that we could hold our own, depending on the reinforcements. If they were to detach one of their fleet assets, assuming they haven't done so already, things could get interesting. As it was from the last visible scan there is nothing bigger than a corvette analogue heading this way, and it is more likely that signal was a flight of star fighters rather than a gunship. His hands unclasped from behind his back and he leaned forwards, knuckles on his desk, to peer into the holocom as if he could look into the Admirals soul. What you need decide is whether we are prepared to sacrifice this system while we await more firepower. While we may not have enough ships to achieve a clean victory, sitting out here will only serve to lose us the system. If we strike now we have a good chance of catching the enemy out of position and perhaps hold them in place while the rest of our fleets arrive...He was of course assuming there -were- more ships inbound. He wasn't sure what the three admirals commanded out there but he hoped it was enough to give the attacking ships pause. Perhaps that was all they would need.Do we have any clear Eee-Tee-Aye on our allies?

For most of the conversation Cole had been silently listening to the two people talking about the whole thing. Now here was his chance to speak up. If I may interrupt here, I have bolstered up the fleet with mock ships. Fake Executors one third of which are filled with Anti Matter Bombs, send in the ones that are not filled with any in first to let their guard down along side the rest of our fleets then a few minutes later the other ten show up and detonate near them. Just in case they needed a picture of it on his own holoprojector pretty much following the same plan as Dodonnas but adding in the fake ships to encircle the enemies. Then fast forwarding a minute the others blinked onto the screen only to detonate once close enough to the enemy ships.
It could mess with their electronics not to mention the ships creating blind spots for the enemy and additional cover from firepower of theirs. Waiting for their response the older gentlmen took out a pipe which was completely against regulation and lit it on the bridge smoking it proudly.

Sarah had been wondering what those were doing here. She knew what they were, it was her job to know about every asset the Remnant had, even the inflatable ones. What she hadn't expected was what a few of them were carrying, she was disappointed she hadn't known earlier but she admired the old veteran's initiative.
Impressive Admiral, the only problem is that if we are present when the bombs detonate we will be affected as well. Without atmosphere to slow it down, radiation can travel for hundreds of kilometers before it dissipates to a safe level. But if we time it right, and we use the planet's gravity, our fleets can jump in immediately after the explosion and end up right where we need to be.
She begins creating a new image, explaining her plan as she does.
We split up the mock ships into five groups; each group with four regulars and two rigged. They enter the system as close to the enemy fleet as possible, in a formation mimicking that of the five on a side of die with each group representing a dot. The center group will be facing the enemy directly with the other four in positions to flank the enemy in similar ways as my previous plan. They advance and close around the enemy formation like a claw, getting as close as possible before detonating.
She adds two new groups of ships to the projection.
After the anti-matter bombs go off, the explosion and resulting radiation will wreak havoc on the enemy's shields and sensors. If we time it properly, hyperspace travel will protect us from the radiation and we can use Prakith's gravity well to pull out our respective fleets within firing range on the starboard and port flanks. It will be tough, and we will definitely take losses, but we can pull this off.
But some reinforcements would be nice, she would have to send another message to the rest of the fleets and inform them of the plan.
Unless their are any problems I overlooked, it is time we make our move. Terrak is right, we cannot risk being overly cautious. Once you have dealt with the scouting party, take the Valheru and join in the battle where you deem your presence necessary.

He listened to them debating the possible approaches to this scenario while Prakith burned, rather bemused at this mention of inflatable Star Destroyers. There was a joke in there somewhere as well as several good innuendo's. He wondered briefly whether a quip would lighten the mood at all but, considering the stiff military types on the other end of the holocom, he wisely chose to keep the observation to himself. He also had a reputation to consider. It wouldn't do for a big fearsome Sith like him to be cracking jokes on the eve of battle. Still, he often found moments of levity coming to him these days and was finding it quite enjoyable to throw these abrupt personality changes at his crew, watching them struggle to understand his whims with secret amusement...
He shook his head imperceptibly as he dragged is attention back from the strange little digression his narrator seemed intent on writing. The use of inflatable Star Destroyers, while stupid and screaming through OOC channels to be voided, was actually fairly viable in the way Dodonna described. Kind of... Perhaps... Maybe... Not really but I will roll with it. Bajos cast an eye to the countdown then nodded as the Admiral issued her orders, clearing his throat as he pointed out the flaw in her plan.Do we have any word on the arrival of reinforcements? I don't know what assets you have with you, Admiral, but with a minimum of four fleets at Prakith we'd be walking into a two-to-one disadvantage at least. The image seemed to shift a little as Bajos’ hands once again found each other at the small of his back. While I stand by the fact that we can't wait around It'd be remiss of me to not point out that without more ships we would be risking our crews by jumping into the Prakith system...The voice grew thoughtful, even over the comm..Perhaps we can let these... "Inflatables" do our job for us, no?He glanced at Admiral Cole, the small hologram managing to portray his scrutiny. What are the technical specifications of these mock Executors? Can they maneuver like the real thing? Do they have anythingnin the way of conventional weaponry? Can they hold Starfighters? His eyes wandered back to Admiral Dodonna. My point is that if we can use these mockery's as fighter platforms as well as decoys and bombs then we can save the majority of our fleet for what you suggest. Drawing enemy ships away from civilian attacks and stalling them for as long as possible should be our goal. If we can make them believe these inflatables are the threat for as long as we can before springing the trap then we gain some time. The fighters can launch, split into two groups, and use one of the two moons each for cover when the bombs detonate. No matter what happens the enemy if bound to take some damage. The fighters, preferably a few bomber squadrons mixed in, can then swarm back from the moon to attack the flanks as the fleet jumps in, using the planets gravity well to pull them out, and hit them dead on. With the damage already suffered from the bombs they should be ripe for the picking and unable to withstand a barrage from three sides...He paused, eyeing the sensor display, the one-third-sized image going still. The time for interception was fast approaching. Soon the investigating ship would reach the moon behind which they lurked. Would they continued to search and spring the trap or would Bajos and the Valheru need to force the issue? Almost as an afterthought he reached out with the Force. His senses tingled with the feeling of impending strife and a grin formed over his face. The enemy is nearly upon us, Admirals. We must conclude this exchange soon so I can be about my business...

Sarah pinches the bridge of her nose; as if she didn't know the odds were against them. The fact of the matter was, they either waited for reinforcements who (according to the OOC intel) wouldn't becoming for a good while, or they went in without them. Terrak's superficial change to the plan wouldn't make a difference. The holes she could poke in either plan were as numerous as the holes that were likely to be poked into the balloons. Separating their fighters and sending them behind the moon was likely to tip the the enemy off, there was no reason to launch fighters from a ship and send them behind the moon unless it was to shield them from something. It wouldn't be like they were hiding since the enemy would see them going behind the moon. And in both of their plans they could be outmaneuvered if either herself or Admiral Cole were careless.
Lord Terrak, deal with the threat to your ship. It will be an asset in coming battle we can't afford to lose. I will take your advice into consideration and will signal your ship when our attack begins.
With that she cuts the line to the Valheru, she wasn't simply dismissing him or his advice, but she was the Grand Admiral and she had to start learning when to act as one. She turns to Cole, the only person left on the channel.
Do you have any input before we begin?

Coles blue image stood there unmoving for a second as he thought through any further strategy before talking. He is right you know, we are outgunned but hopefully the element of surprise can keep them on their toes until another of our fleets are coming There was one of those ifs, this had way to many of those for it to turn out positively. Ill launch the fakes now, so they arrive their moments before us. Unless you have anything to add I shall see you there Admiral.
Outside in the swirling darkness of space the 30 inflatable tore a hole into the blue gayness that is hyperspace. One by one the the ships jumped into hyperspace heading towards the location given to them.

Sarah cuts the signal after Admiral Cole signs off and turns to her subordinate.
"Vossis, prepare the fleet for hyperspace jump. We need to be in position as soon as possible."
"Yes ma'am."
He spins on his heel and moves away from the CIC and towards the center of the bridge. As Sarah continues to study the sparse information provided to them, Vossis barks orders to the bridge crew and the rest of the fleet. Soon they are in hyperspace heading for a new destination outside the Prakith system. Ten minutes later a total of eight star destroyers, large and less large, and one carrack-class cruiser are in position to make a microjump into battle.

A disruption begins to form in the hyperspace swirls as a slight blue flux in the form of a burst appeared presenting with it as it disappeared a Praetor- Class Star Battlecruiser the "Spear of Retribution" measuring 4k in meters. The massive to its size ship roared its teeth in weapons and genuine defenses. Jumping into hyperspace carrying Amelia, adopted daughter of Lady Horica and sith apprentice. The ship sets up position to receive follow on orders. Amelia sits in her meditation chamber and meditates on the up coming battle.

I look down at the planet below & smile. The few orbital defenses had already been swept aside, now would come the truly fun part.
-Marcos My shuttle will be ready by the time I reach it. Launch the troops.
It was less a question & more a command, as the last crew that had delayed the launch of my shuttle had been disciplined on the spot. The cleaning crew was apparently still angry about the mess. My 'bodyguards' were already waiting in the shuttle by the time I stepped on board. Another smile flitted across my face as the shuttle lifted off the deck literally as soon as my boot hit the ramp.
Minutes later I was charging across the ground, my guards struggling to keep pace as the enemy poured fire on the advancing wave of stormtroopers. I laughed at the repeating blaster I carried sent large chunks of the defensive line scurrying for cover. Moments later the stormtroopers crested the fortifications & the fighting turned to hand & hand.
I noticed a few straggling units of stormtroopers that were still making their way across the field. With flash of annoyance, I quickly gunned them down. My orders had been clear. Break the line, or fall trying. The other stormtroopers must have noticed as they began fighting that much harder. My mace soon began to drink of the battle as well.
Some hours later, I sat on the shattered wall of the station we had overrun. From the reports I was mostly ignoring, the fighting seemed to be dying down. The planet was mine.

It had gotten a little hairy getting away from the orbit, but nothing that Demarus couldn't handle. The 3-Z had been modded up, besting the flyboys that sought to impede their getaway, and with a satisfying push on the controls, the old girl zoomed off into hyperspace. Demarus only relaxed into the seat back once the swirling blues of the lane were illuminating the cockpit. The trip to Garqi would take a little bit of time, so once he was sure everything was set properly with the flight controls, he pulled himself out of the chair and headed towards the back to see how things were getting along with Galdaart Fel.
Mel was sitting there, eating some chips and drinking what looked like scotch. Now that sounded like an idea. He opened the small cooler onboard and looked around until he found a suitable ale. The cap off, he leaned against the galley counter and took a long pull off the bottle as he regarded Mel and Galdaart."Well, that went better than expected."

Fel had relaxed further wen they hit hyperspace. It didn't mean they were out of the woods completely, but it was far more secure than open space. Until hyperspace, he still half-believed he would be called to the cockpit, or to man a gun... but he had to hand it to the Cathar. Probably the best prison break he'd ever been witness to. Aside from his own escape from Kessel. Maybe. He filled his glass for the second and, he had decided, final time. Raised his glass in silent salute to the pilot, and took a long pull on what should have been a sipping scotch.
Yeah. All things considered, that was a fine prison-break. One of the best I've been a part of... if in fact, it was supposed to be a prison-break. taking another drink Now, if that was meant to be a prisoner transfer, I've seen smoother. Lots smoother. Usually more with the paperwork, less with the yelling and killing. pointed looks at both Mel and Damarus If we're secure for the moment, I'd like to find out what the hell is going on, if I may. From what I've gathered, the guards on -- Aargau, was it? -- you had their trust. You never would have made it to the detention block with that little fuss, and with an escort, if you hadn't. You had either forged, or official forms to transfer me, an AA-block prisoner, off-premises, but you arrived in a civilian vessel, in civilian clothes, carrying non-standard weapons. Pardon me from saying, but you don't exactly come off as 'official.' Hell, you look more like members of my crew. swirling the amber liquid around his glass before taking another drink This stinks of an Intel op. But why me? How am I worth the five lives that were snuffed back on that landing pad? Who wants me, and what for?
He'd said his piece. Finishing his last words, he opened his hands, palms out, as if to say 'Well?' and leaned back in his seat to await a reply, or a beating, or both. There had been no anger or accusation in his tone, he'd just put as many pieces together as he had, and Galdaart Fel was used to holding a full hand, with cards to spare up his sleeve. Right now, he felt like he was holding two cards in a game of five card draw. Though his instincts told him to shut up and play along for the ride, he couldn't shut off the tactical part of his mind that yearned for information. If he was being sold to the highest bidder, he wanted to know what for, if he was being dropped into a fire, he wanted to know who lit it.

Demarus stood for a moment, wondering how much of the true story he could get away with telling Fel. He had his orders and he had been given this assignment because of his record for following those orders. He was pretty sure he knew more about what was going on with this op than Mel, after all, Mel wasn't one of his. She was working off a debt. But he owed her his life and his return to the Dark Tide. He decided there was some information he could share, something to at least set the scene with. The question was where did he begin with it?
Demarus stepped to the table, setting his beer down, while turning a chair backwards for him to sit in. He leaned on the seat back and curled his massive furred fingers back around the condensation soaked bottle. He started with the prison.
"The documents were forgeries. But official enough that they would allow us to get in and get you out. Then we were to dispatch the escorts, and make off with you. We were sent because someone has seen a use for you." That was going to have to be good enough for now. He didn't the particulars of the rest and even if he did, it was not his place to tell. Instead, he turned towards the greater picture, taking a sip of the ale.
"The universe has changed while you have been doing push ups in your cell. The Imperial Remnant who apprehended you, who hunted you, no longer exists. They were absorbed by the Galactic Empire which was born from the ashes of Dark Tide. The Sith gain power and influence under a new Emperor and now that the Mandalorian Holy War has exhausted resources of most, the Empire promises protection and growth to fearful systems, while the Republic flounders and struggles to stay afloat."
Demarus looked at Mel a moment, then continued. His golden eyes were at ease and his posture remained relaxed.
"On paper, I am a dead man. She was captured in the war, and this ship will come up as stolen. What happened on Aargau has to do with perception. My employer is very, very careful about that."
