The Master, in his infinite wisdom, has decided I shall be doing some intelligence gathering... In the most literal sense of the word. It seems the Alliance has information on a hidden base that the Master would like me to acquire. So I'm going to be trying to find whoever has it and relieve them of it... Though there seems to be a distinctly disappointed tone in her brother's reply, suggesting he has no taste for what their Master has tasked him with, as well as what almost seems to be her to be sarcasm bordering on disrespect in his use of the phrase 'in his infinite wisdom', Katsumi only nods in reply, not inclined to learn whether the tone is one meant to invite her to share in the disapproval or, were it there at all, disrespect.
"Would that I were you, she replies in what is intended to be a wistful tone, meant to convey her sincere envy of the work he has been asked to do, It sounds like just the kind of hunt I would enjoy. Addressing, if only tangentially, the impression she had that Harnan was less than enthusiastic about his task, Katsumi offers in a way that makes it apparent she is not questioning her brother's ability to perform alone what it has been given unto him to do, and instead seeks only to offer any assistance she can should he so desire it, If you would like someone to share in your finding or retrieving, my brother, she taps the side of her skull-like helmet to indicate the relative ease with which they are able to communicate telepathically, especially when in such near proximity as they will be for the duration of the First Order's present operation, I will not be far away," given that she will either be in orbit while endeavoring to set flames of fear and confusion within the minds of the Alliance pilots, captains and crew of the Alliance fleet, or on the surface when she joins in the fighting there once her work in orbit has been done.

The Rear Admiral nodded, glad that the topic was changed to something she felt more comfortable with at the moment. In a way she felt that the Admiral disliked her point of view, but she couldn't change it for the moment.
Thus she mustered the fleet arrangement, Needa was tasked to command within the name of the Emperor, spotting among the ships the Holocron as well. Inbetween were a good ammount of Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers, named after the famous admiral of the Imperial Remnant, who rebuild the forces the deceased Admiral Thrawn had left to a super power within the galaxy again. These Star Destroyers alone were enough to let the enemy fear the might of the First Order, wheras nothing could rival the might of the two Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers. With these ships forming up the attack lines upon Needa's flank the chances to form a good arrowhead were definitly given.
"Given that we have the Pellaeons, we don't need to worry about interdiction all too much, thus making it better to leave the Interdictor with 2 Imperial-IIs in the last row - no need to sacrifice a useful Star Destroyer on the frontline.", she mused while pondering, Both Resurgents will be needed on the front line as they're our most durable and especially most powerful ships, wheras the Pellaeons and Turbulents can follow. The Imperious-Class will stabilize the middle line of our flank, providing us there with enough fire power to withstand anything the Alliance throws at us. Victory II's also placed... Arquitens command cruisers also present... perfect. The Rear Admiral paused, going around the table in order to study it further, before continiueing her thoughts. "I would suggest moving the Holocron in a line behind the Imperious-class", she then said after a while, "The Imperial-class ships are our main carriers for troops, so they will have to stand in a well-defended position in order to allow the stationed forces to land on the planet, should the order be given - thus it seems wise for me to keep as many of them as possible in the back. I guess, however, that both the Crusader and the Holocron should be able to hold their ground, when both of these ships are lead by the two of us directly. I trust any expierienced captain to navigate a Resurgent, a Pellaeon and even the Imperious-Star Destroyer - but with nearly 40,000 troops stationed on all Imperial-II vessels, I don't want to endanger the very same cargo, we actually intend to deliver upon the heart of the Alliance, once we won the Space battle. Furthermore I have stationed a TIE Silencer squadron on the Holocron - acting from the middle section of the formation, I can send them to any location within the Star Destroyer lines, when necessary. I hope you agree that I leave the protection of the Interdictor-class to two of our captains - if we want to break through the Alliance lines I rather trust in the top and middle of our formation to do so - the forces at the end of the arrowhead will most likely face the weakest resistance, if Piett spoke the truth and can nontheless defend themselves well enough, should the enemy commander outsmart us somehow. Those would be my thoughts, Admiral."
She wondered if Needa saw it the same way, although it was only logical. Two Resurgents on the tip, being located below the actual arrowhead, followed by a mix of the Turbulents and the Pellaeons formed a smooth attack line, which would melt everything away, wheras the Imperious-Class would keep the middle part of the fleet intact - probably even leading to the false conclusion that the Imperious-Class-Star Destroyer was a flagship. With the rest of the Pellaeons covering the remaining two Imperial-II-Star Destroyers and the Interdictor, flanked by both ISDs the bottom part of the flank seemed weaker than the rest, while it was nontheless strong enough to hold off most ships, which would pass this way. Followed by various minor Star Destroyers, corvettes and cruisers, all attack lines would have enough star fighter support to hold on their own, while Jenia would eventually deploy the Banshee-Squadron at any point during the operation. The Silencers would be one major key within the upcoming battle in order to decide it. Expecting she eyed the Admiral, as so far everything was said by her. In the end Needa decided what would be the best deployment and from what she could tell there were multiple options to let this fleet formation work out. She assumed that the old veteran had similiar thoughts regarding the composition, but was willing to listen towards his thoughts as well, since he might see things, Jenia has overlooked within the ammount of vessels of which Jenia knew most of its technical capabilities.
Garrick nearly scoffed. This was exactly what he would expect from an officer of Jenia’s age. It was either an uncreative, by the books strategy that the enemy would be sure to see coming, or an aggressive, reckless strategy that would, admittedly, catch the enemy off guard, but would lead to massive casualties and would most likely fail anyhow. This fit more into the first category than the second; the enemy would most likely expect this, but there wasn’t anything necessarily wrong with that. However, it would need a few changes.“I agree for the most part. However, putting the Holocron in such a forward position seems reckless at best. As you stated, it is one of three main carriers for troops in our flank. In addition, it has a critical lack of point-defense weapons. Coupling this with the fact that the Alliance is known for their use of very high quality starfighters, putting it behind the Imperious is a bad idea. I have a different recommendation.” Moving his hand across the table, he reoriented several of the ships in order to fit his vision of hw this should be carried out. The charge would be led by the two Resurgent-Class Battlecruisers. They were big, heavily armed, and could take a hit. They were spread apart slightly as to allow the command ship, the Imperious-Class, to stay behind them but still use its formidable firepower and advanced targeting systems, combined with its powerful shields, to attack the enemy as well. Arrayed on its flanks were the three of the Pellaeons and the three Turbulents to provide firing support. Just behind this was a line consisting of the three remaining Pellaeons, and the Imperial Class Ships. This was simply due to the fact that the Imperial Star Destroyer lacked point defense systems, and was better suited to a role of staying back and focusing targets with its turbolasers. Finally, at the very back was the Interdictor Class. This would only really be needed if the Pellaeons were destroyed, and it would still be protected by some smaller supporting ships. Garrick have Jenia a moment to look it over before speaking again.“So, what are your thoughts?”

Garrick have Jenia a moment to look it over before speaking again.“So, what are your thoughts?” The Rear Admiral pondered as she felt the Imperious-Class command ship would rather be needed within the middle of the formation rather than on the frontlines. With the Galactic Alliance being smart enough to see expect a more direct approach, they will most likely focus their ship power on the middle section and maybe even the rear of the flank, if the middle section shows barely any resistance. Needa's approach was hardly balanced out from her point of view, but maybe he was right. It didn't matter in the end, probably, as most of the Galactic Alliance ships would still struggle against such a formidable ship composition. "In regards of additional TIE wings, I would trust so far our Vindicator cruisers, as we lack a major carrier ship in order to protect the rear", Kasalle added, so far deciding that she went with the Admiral's proposal, as it would also work out, "With the First Order TIE lines, the Predator class-star fighters, the Neutralizer class-bombers and especially the new TIE Silencer we feature a better variety of star fighters, able to keep up with the Galactic Alliance's X-Wings. Though our pilots must be careful, they're not to underestimate. Especially the Silencer pilots are well trained - the Academy only sent me the best of the best for one of the squadrons. Thus I think I will be able to cover our backlines during the upcoming battle. With your permission we can add some of the Raider-class corvettes behind the Interdictor's battleline in order to make sure that we will keep the rear intact, but the current support ships will do the job as well."
She assumed, that her task would be to command the backlines then as the Holocron was the ship, she got assigned to, thus leaving Needa in command of both the middle section and the top of the formation, while the Imperial IIs were all at the same spot. To some point she felt that it would make her job easier to a certain portion, but harder for Needa, as he has to take care of a majority of the fleet, wheras Jenia's focus would solely lie on keeping the ground assault units safe from enemy harm.

Under other circumstances Nicolina might ask about why Kortos wears a helmet, which is not a part of the whole Imperial Knight uniform and seems like more of a Knight of Ren thing, but as she doesn't know how Kortos might react to the question decides to keep her curiosity to herself. After the Dressillian talks about talking with a Knight of Ren despite the fact that one wouldn't, as Kortos said, expect the two to have much to do with one another under normal circumstances, Nicolina asks, So, what are their goals within the Empire then? Other than doing their part to expand and secure it, of course. Despite knowing of the Colonel since their time in the Deep Core the two had never formally met. There had been great rumours regarding the woman for years, and a sort of following in the civilians of the Empire had cropped up. The Emperor Talons were legendary for their devotion to the Empire and had been at the forefront of many of the Empires battles through the years. That is pretty much it as I understand it. Their code is not black and white like yours and mine. Where as I am sworn to serve the Emperor, they have no such vows and are more a lose affiliation that work together to serve their own goals. Catching himself before he could continue speaking he tried his best not to speak ill of the group. After the dinner with Katsumi he had strove to bring the orders closer together and gossiping about them would not do. Oh, I do not hate them, or her for that matter. In fact, their ideology is quite fascinating. Though, how some of their members interpret it... Well, it can border on the need for concern... I was just surprised to see you being civil toward one of them was all. Many of our brothers and sisters do not share my trust of them. But let's just say that my history with some of them is... unique...At least, that was the easiest way to explain away his history with Harnan and Illaria. Not that it really demanded too much more explanation. Though, if he was asked, he would come up with something of an abridged version. He then turned toward Nicolina, as the Lieutenant Colonel spoke up at last. Although she asked about the Ren, he thought he sensed something else cross her mind for a momentWell... I'd say that depends on the Ren you ask... But I'll let you handle this one... I cant hate them either, or at least not for the way they think. Individuals though... As much as it pains me to say it for the good of the Empire we should at least give them a chance. They have not given any reason to mistrust them thus far despite having ample opportunity to destroy the Empire through other means than bankruptcy through replacing pants. Not realizing how wordsy or bad the joke was the Dressillian pressed on.

The other who advised me on this matter has convinced me that perhaps a change in our policy will be necessary. We are a strong nation, but must not overextend nor over reach ourselves. We have much to offer to worlds that seek peace, stability, and prosperity...Remember how each world in the Deep Core complimented itself? We had the funds of Aargau, the cloning facilities of Khomm, the shipyards of Foerost, and the resources of Prakith... all were pooled together to stabilize the Deep Core Remnant and rebuild it. It had endured the trials of Falleen and the troublesome conflicts that I witnessed upon my arrival. Banded together, we represented a strong faction that became the foundations of the First Order. Faina nods, her appreciation for the kind of synergy that Nicademus describes when speaking of how it had been in the Deep Core clear in her expression and tone, "I remember it well. Pausing, her brow furrowed as it occurs to her how it feels to be voicing her thoughts to Nicademus, who knows more of what it takes to build an empire than she imagines she ever will, Faina is silent a moment before continuing in a hesitant tone indicating her uncertainty that what she thinks if of any value to her emperor, For what it is worth, I think that focusing on building those kinds of binding ties and relationships among the worlds we have brought order, peace and stability to is a way to ensure that those things last. Without the Alliance to interfere, we will have more time and resources to devote to strengthening the empire, to stabilizing it as you spoke of."

After being informed of the Emperor's invitation, Faelan accompanies the officer and Stormtroopers to the shuttle. After the shuttle has set down in the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer where Faelan is escorted to the Emperor's location by the Stormtroopers. Though it has been some time since Faelan has met personally with Nicademus, Faelan welcomes the opportunity to do so now. While their respective stations in life and responsibilities have given them little enough time to interact and learn more of one another, Faelan respects Delvardus not only for his achievements as a leader and the degree of humility he appears to have retained in spite of them, but also due to the fact that he has proven himself to be someone who can be relied upon to keep his word and who values the relationships and alliances he has made along the way to where he is now.
Removing his buy'ce once they are within sight of the Emperor, Faelan holds it beneath his left arm while continuing forward until he is near enough to Nicademus that they can speak without getting so near that it would cause any concern for the Emperor's personal safety among his guards. Bowing at the waist in deference to the Emperor's title, Faelan greets him in Basic, "Emperor Delvardus." Nicademus was presently on the bridge of the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer that he was surveying. This wasn't entirely an old warship model, but it was an uncommon one. He had read about its introduction by Gilad Pellaeon and the old Imperial Remnant sometime after the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion. Their specs were quite intriguing for a pocket Star Destroyer and the Emperor sought their reintroduction into the Imperial Navy. The Imperial turns when the bridge door hisses, revealing the Mandalorian Faelan. His Imperial Knights move to either side of the Emperor, allowing Faelan a clear view and path to the Emperor. Nicademus smiles and waves his hand at the bow from Faelan Bralor. No need to bow to me, Faelan, we are old allies after all and you are not my subject.Nicademus walks through the two lines of his bodyguards to approach Faelan.Though it has been a long time since our first meeting, I have heard that my subordinates have kept you and your clan quite busy with work. I hope you have been properly compensated for your services and that the continued payments, as agreed by our treaty, have continued to be of satisfaction.Nicademus then looks around the bridge of the ship he was on.What do you think, Aliit'ator? First time I have ever been on such a vessel. I have seen and heard of them, but its somethine to stand within one. The Turbulent-class will become quite an asset to the Imperial Navy, once more.Faina nods, her appreciation for the kind of synergy that Nicademus describes when speaking of how it had been in the Deep Core clear in her expression and tone, "I remember it well. Without the Alliance to interfere, we will have more time and resources to devote to strengthening the empire, to stabilizing it as you spoke of." You are very much so right, Faina... very right indeed.Nicademus says as he looks out at the stars this time. Countless of them belonging to the First Order by right of conquest and assimilated thanks to the efforts of the Imperial Civil Services. War had been the agenda of the Empire for some years now, ever since its founding. The soldiers would certainly like a time to break, be with their families, and, in general, live their lives under the enlightened and strong rule of their Emperor. To ensure the Empire endured, ties needed to be formed between the various systems, each complimenting the next with its purpose cemented and thus added to the overall Empire for its future. This is why I keep you at my side, Faina. The Emperor suddenly speaks, keeping his gaze to the stars. You are one of the few that I can truly trust. And your words mirror that of our old friend, Xeonon Solomon. He taught you well, Faina. Its no wonder why I chose you to succeed after a necessary interregnum within the Imperial Knight leadership.======================================================== Harlan Petrovsky [Retired] Garrick Needa On the eve of battle, High Admiral Harlan Petrovsky and Admiral Garrick Needa were called forth to meet with the Emperor once more. They were brought over to the Assertor-class flagship by his personal guard, the Braxant Legionnaires, and from the hangar bay, escorted to a private conference room. Once inside the room, the Emperor was seen with senior members of Imperial High Command; Director Merrik Piett, Grand General Baltasar Delvardus, Admiral Julian Arcavius and so forth. Nicademus stood up from where he sat originally and proceeded to approach the two individuals. Following him were two officers, carrying a small box each, with two other officers carrying two long boxes within their hands.
Nicademus started this gathering with the salute of the First Order, the officers behind him following his lead.Ad Gloriam. Ad Victoriam. He then lowers his hand, looking at the two individuals, the veteran Garrick Needa and the rising star Harlan Petrovsky.Today, I give you both the highest of honors that an Emperor can give to his loyal men. That an Emperor can give to who he views as the most skilled, resourceful and respected of the Imperial Navy. I have watched you both, I have read your records, I have heard what your officers have said about you... I have no hesitations, no doubts, nothing of the sort that would prevent me from giving you what I intend to do today.A sound stamp of his boot caused the two officers to step forward from his flanks, carrying the two small boxes in hand. Their gloved hands moved to reveal the contents inside. Before the eyes of Harlan and Garrick were the insignias of Grand Admiral. Nicademus let the two take in the sight of these insignias before speaking. As I said once before, when I need cautious and traditional tactics, look to Garrick Needa. When I need bold maneuvers and unorthodox tactics, turn to Harlan Petrovsky. The two of you have reached the apex of your careers, by the loyalty in your heart, the skill of your hands, and the respect of your persons among your peers and within the First Order. He stamps his boot once more, causing the two other officers that remained to step forward and reveal the stark white uniforms of the Grand Admiral's uniform. Nicademus had long considered who would be named to such high positions and came to know that these two deserved it the most. The Imperial looks to both men with a rare smile on his face. From this day forward, the First Order will have two ideal and experienced Grand Admirals to leads its skilled and veteran fleets. The first true Grand Admirals ever seen since the First Galactic Empire! Today, we honor these two men, Garrick Needa and Harlan Petrovsky, as the first Grand Admirals of the First Order! Ad Gloriam! Ad Victoriam!Immediately the members of Imperial High Command returned the sought of the First Order's motto before clapping their hands as a congratulations to the newly minted senior commanders of the Imperial Navy.

The calm before the storm - Imperial Star Destroyer Holocron
While news about Admiral Needa's and High Admiral Petrovsky's promotion were unknown to the crew of the Holocron, as they were about to happen soon, Rear Admiral Kasalle eventually returned to her ship with her shuttle, once talks with Admiral Needa were finished on board of the Ad Gloriam. Having left Needa so far with the feeling that the man was definitly capable and a leader, whom she could unquestionably trust within the heat of battle, as his tactical knowledge is more than inspiring to her own, even if she might not agree with him first hand and would prefer a different approach personally, she was certain that they nontheless could navigate their flank flawless into battle. Now, she only had to prepare the crew for what was to come, thus summoning via intercom most of the important officers on the bridge, once the shuttle had landed and she was about to leave it.
Two members of her trusted bodyguard, the Novatroopers were already awaiting her, escorting her silently as if she was followed by a shadow, wheras the rest was stationed on the bridge to ensure Captain Thax' safety. She soon reached the corridors of the crew quarters, while eventually continiueing her way, memorizing so far the purpose of the meeting. In the end not much has to be spoken about other than the assigned line of the ship and the general tactic. The captains of the neighboured lines would be contacted by holographic means in order to give them insight about what is to happen - not much questioning will be done, she presumed, as the Imperial Navy normally tends to accept orders while letting them sink down the entire structure until every crewmember roughly has an idea what they might be facing. Yet, she has also requested Squadron Captain Nathan Caldwell [Retired] along with other important Wing leaders on board and the generals, who were present on board to discuss the further strategy, as both the army and the star fighter pilots would carry out the most important missions within the upcoming battle. She knew that she would have to discuss signals regarding the army drop off and the escort part with the present colonels and generals, wheras Caldwell and the other pilots needed to know when they would be deployed, once they enter Dac's orbit.
The main advantage of the First Order was, that they would be the ones to strike first, thus having enough time to quickly run through the upcoming mission by visualizing it roughly. Especially her pilots needed to know where which major battleship would end up during the battle, now that Admiral Needa has worked out a formation, which is most likely to be formed - with Needa's decision to keep all Imperial II-Star Destroyers within the backlines of the arrowhead formation, the Silencer-pilots among with the rest of the star fighter squadrons and frigates would have enough work to protect the very rear from bomber attacks more than any other flank.
Thus she was already pleased to see that some of the men, she had called up upon were already on the bridge, when she arrived, greeting Captain Thax and the rest of the assembled officers and pilot captains alike. So far they waited for the rest of the summoned persons to gather, before Jenia decided to start off the brief meeting in front of the holo table, before her. All captains, who were assigned to the Rear Admiral's command were watching silently the transmission, as they were already pondering what strategy this time will be applied in order to strike at the Grand Alliance.

Despite knowing of the Colonel since their time in the Deep Core the two had never formally met. There had been great rumours regarding the woman for years, and a sort of following in the civilians of the Empire had cropped up. Not realizing how wordsy or bad the joke was the Dressillian pressed on. Kortos nodded in agreement with Panno's assessment of the Knights of Ren. Though, he did somewhat disagree that they all served their own goals. But that was not a discussion to be had here and now. Perhaps he might discuss it with Panno in private at a later time, should the occasion arise.
He was glad to hear Panno agree that he could not hate the Ren. While the Ren were darksiders, the Dressillian did have the right of it. In recent times, the loyalty of the Imperial Knights had been called into question on multiple occasions. Some might conspire to think that the Ren had orchestrated such events. But Kortos was not so foolish. The Imperial Knights had fallen prey to their own prejudices and become the very things they hated the most. Thankfully such reckless behavior was behind them. At least where Brock was not concerned.
Korto chuckled then. Though some might view Panno's joke as somewhat terrible delivered, he knew of Illaria's disdain for pants. In fact, he had read the reports from the Resurgent regarding repairs required to multiple trash compactors after they had been filled with every pair of pants aboard the shipAfter recent events, it behooves us to be the better men and women so that we might maintain our position... After all, the Sith within our ranks are a more pressing threat than the Ren right now...

Were it within his power, Harnan would have all too happily tasked Katsumi with his mission. She would have undoubtedly been able to sneak in, gather the intelligence, and get out before the Alliance knew what had happened. But he knew the Master's gaze would be upon him during this mission. Such a change in the plan would bring consequences which Illaria would pay for. And that was something he would avoid at all costs. So for now, he would play the good little lap dog and do the Master's biddingI appreciate the offer, but I think we both know where you will be better suited... Take care sister...He turned toward the corridor he had come from and headed back toward the hangar bay. The preparations here would be coming to a close soon, and the assault on Dac would begin soon

Faelan relaxes slightly when Nicademus' words indicate that there is no need to maintain an excessive degree of formality, glad to see that his ally appears to have retained his humility despite all of the arrogance and loftiness his position and the expansion of his empire might invite in lesser men. "All of our dealings with the First Order have been more than satisfactory," Faelan says, addressing Nicademus' inquiry in his straightforward way, feeling no need to go into further detail. The treaty he had brokered with the First Order has indeed proven to be more than satisfactory, the rewards for the services they have provided sufficient enough that Clan Bralor has, as Faelan had hoped, been able to share the benefits of their work with the Mando'ade as a whole.
When asked for his thoughts on the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer, Faelan smiles, having heard tales of the Bloodfin in his youth as well as having appreciated the vessel Nicadmus invited him to while approaching it in the shuttle. "It's a fine vessel, small and agile, well armed, and possessed of an interior that offers the crew quite the tactical advantage in the event she is boarded. Versatile as well, Faelan muses aloud, the fact the ship's design includes two hangars enabling it to act as a carrier in addition to serving in a ship-to-ship combat role. Quite an asset to your navy, indeed."

You are very much so right, Faina... very right indeed. This is why I keep you at my side, Faina. You are one of the few that I can truly trust. And your words mirror that of our old friend, Xeonon Solomon. He taught you well, Faina. Its no wonder why I chose you to succeed after a necessary interregnum within the Imperial Knight leadership. Faina's confusion is evident when Nicademus speaks of Xeonon, not only because the tense he uses is the present rather than the past, but also because there seems to be a lack of the anger or disappointment she would expect to hear in his voice given that Xeonon, in the end, betrayed Nicademus, a crime he paid for with his death. Her own tone is a cautious, mildly perplexed one as Faina replies, agreeing as she suddenly recalls feeling a familiar presence earlier, one that she had not quite been able to definitively pin down, "He taught me well, yes. It is a pity, though, that, in the end, he seemed to forgot all that he taught me of loyalty."
Unable to resist the urge to satisfy the curiosity that Nicademus' tone incited within her, Faina asks in a hesitant voice, "You said Xenon advised you as I did? That must have been . . . before his betrayal? Do you . . . Were you ever able to learn why he turned on you in the end? It never made sense to me," Faina admits, a furrow appearing between her brows indicating that the subject is one as difficult for her as she imagines it must be for Nicademus himself.

I appreciate the offer, but I think we both know where you will be better suited... Take care sister...He turned toward the corridor he had come from and headed back toward the hangar bay. "Brother," Katsumi bids Harnan farewell, inclining her head in lieu of a more formal bow, feeling there is no need to suggest that he take care for she feels any that dare to stand between him and his objective will have more need of such a sentiment.
Lingering on for a moment after Harnan has left, Katsumi debates whether to continue entertaining herself by stealthily haunting the ship to hone her skills in concealment or, instead, to begin mentally preparing for the task she has come to perform. Ultimately electing to pursue the latter course, Katsumi makes her way to her quarters and begins to mediate, mentally gathering the tinder and kindling she will need to summon the flames she will set amidst the minds of the enemy they have come to lay waste to.

Harlan Petrovsky [Retired] Garrick Needa On the eve of battle, High Admiral Harlan Petrovsky and Admiral Garrick Needa were called forth to meet with the Emperor once more.
Before this Meeting... Garrick entered the room, dressed in his frost colored uniform. The uniform in question was the exact same as his former Admiral’s uniform, simply the predominantly grey fabric was now white. He was initially unsure as to why it had been delivered to him aboard his command ship, the Ecce Signum, and the messenger carrying it made the effort to bring it to his cabin, find the ship’s XO to unlock the cabin, and then leave it neatly folded on his dresser. Coupled to the fact that this messenger was not a droid, but was, in fact, a human (and humans were reserved only for matters of the utmost importance), gave Garrick a hint as to what was going to be occurring. And so, he had briskly and efficiently changed into the new uniform, making sure his collar and sleeves were impeccable as always. He enjoyed the silkier texture of the new uniform, and it relieved him from some of the stuffiness that the heaver Admiral’s uniform had to it. He liked it.
As the Nune-Class shuttle settled on the polished floors of one of the larger hangers of the Ad Gloriam, he stood at one of the large windows opening out onto the from of the ship. He saw a number of shuttles and fighters passing through the large spaces of the hangar. He also noticed several elite troopers waiting to escort him to the bridge of the Ad Gloriam. He took a deep breath before descending the ramp and gesturing for the troopers to lead the way.

Faelan relaxes slightly when Nicademus' words indicate that there is no need to maintain an excessive degree of formality, glad to see that his ally appears to have retained his humility despite all of the arrogance and loftiness his position and the expansion of his empire might invite in lesser men. Progression is a key ideal of the renewed Empire and something that must continue to live on, even if peace comes to the nation one day. It will at least ensure this reincarnation survives and thrives. After consulting with two of his most trustworthy persons close to his person, Nicademus began to wonder a lot about the direction of the Empire to come. There was much to consider and plan for the future to come. The Empire had endured one of the worst wars seen in the galaxy and came out on top of its foe. Now it was moving to end its foe once and for all, establishing its unrivalled dominance within the galaxy. Yet, would this dominance bring peace or only more war? That was a question that would be defined by the actions of the Emperor to come.Tell me, Faelan, has Agamar been enough for your clan? I know our arrangement was meant to help rebuild and give the Mandalorians, who call themselves Bralor, a chance for something greater. Wars and politics have kept me busy so I want to know if our arrangement has still been to your satisfaction and that of your clan's satisfaction.Faina's confusion is evident when Nicademus speaks of Xeonon, not only because the tense he uses is the present rather than the past, but also because there seems to be a lack of the anger or disappointment she would expect to hear in his voice given that Xeonon, in the end, betrayed Nicademus, a crime he paid for with his death. It is a pity, though, that, in the end, he seemed to forgot all that he taught me of loyalty."
Unable to resist the urge to satisfy the curiosity that Nicademus' tone incited within her, Faina asks in a hesitant voice, "You said Xenon advised you as I did? It never made sense to me," Faina admits, a furrow appearing between her brows indicating that the subject is one as difficult for her as she imagines it must be for Nicademus himself. Nicademus falls silent, gazing out at the fleet as Faina asked her question. The Emperor sighs deeply, turning to gaze upon his chosen Grandmaster and one of the greatest champions that guarded his person daily. The truth needed to be told. If anyone needed to know it, it was Faina.Xeonon never betrayed me, Faina. He never betrayed his oath, the Imperial Knights, nor the Imperial cause. A plot, concocted by several Imperial Knights and the then Grandmaster Antares Draco. When I landed on the ravaged planet of Muunilinst, they struck against me and attempted to assassinate me. Many of those traitors died at Xeonon's blade and by the firearms of my Stormtroopers placed in sniping positions.Nicademus glances away for a moment, turning to the side and looking off into nothing for a moment. Yet, in his eyes, the man was reminiscing on that very same day. If Xeonon had not done what was necessary, either the Imperial Knights would not be here today or Nicademus would not be alive to see this vision of his come true.By his request, I concocted the story of Xeonon betraying the Imperial Knights. Of how Antares Draco, the real traitor, and his confederates died in protecting me from the most villainous of treasons. All for the sake of protecting not only myself but the Imperial Knights themselves. It is by this sacrifice that the Imperial Knights are stronger today, Faina. It is by this sacrifice that they were preserved and their traitorous Grandmaster eliminated before the whole order was corrupted!Nicademus then curtly nods to the Praetorians as all but one depart the room. The Emperor curtly nods once more, an indication for the lone Praetorian to remove his helmet and break his oath of silence. He knew what came next would certainly shock Faina greatly. And it is the very essence of that unselfish and honor-bound duty that he, Xeonon Solomon , has returned to my side, to protect me as he did before, to advise me as he did before, and continue with the oath he gave me so very long ago, Faina. It is because of the two of you here today that I feel safe and that I feel well advised. That I know my son will become a model Imperial Knight and a well-versed successor. And that my Empire will certainly endure for many generations to come.

Despite everything all the lies that Xeonon had concocted to hide the truth from the Empire it still burned him to hear how Faina thought of him. She had been the first Imperial Knight he had inducted into the order after his taking the mantle of Grandmaster. Indeed he had trained her in the few aspects that her parents had neglected in their own training. Still this was the price he must pay in order to still serve the Empire. To serve Nicademus.Nicademus falls silent, gazing out at the fleet as Faina asked her question. He trusted Nicademus to do the right thing but to tell the truth, this truth had been unthinkable. It would bring into question too many things should word get out that his execution was faked.
Head still spinning as the other Praetorians left the room, Xeonon with clumsy fingers removed his helmet for the second time today. Holding it in both hands Xeonon looked down at the ground ashamed. This was not the man that Faina had known. His face pale and skinny with more lines on it that she would remember the only part of him that looked the same was his eyes. Brown eyes that slowly rose to look at her. Hello Grandmaster Nikulin

OOC: You may all continue any rps here over Taris, but as promised, the invasion begins tonight!
There was an eerie silence upon the bridge of the Emperor's flagship, the Ad Gloriam, which was situated within the midst of the Imperial Armada, set to invade Galactic Alliance space at any moment. Nicademus's gaze was trained upon a timer, a countdown that indicated the remaining time before the operation would begin. The great breath before the plunge.
72 hours ago, reports came in of the successful attacks by other Imperial fleets that violated the Galactic Alliance border and struck at a large number of various systems and planets. All in an effort to tie down what remained of the GA's resources, manpower, and ships to ensure Mon Calamari was weak and vulnerable to the imminent assault. The reports showed favorable results thus far, it seemed whatever veteran and experienced commanders remained within their ranks were stretched thin and isolated. Reports that brought the Emperor's recognition and approval to each commander that reported.
Three beeps went off as the Emperor's thoughts were interrupted by the timer going off. It read zero hours, zero minutes, and zero seconds. All eyes were upon the Emperor as he stood up more properly. This caused the crew to immediately stand at attention before their ruler who waved his hand, allowing them to relax their posture. He keys his comlink, linking up with the fleet's main communication channel.
Today, we embark on the pinnacle achievement since the founding of the First Order. We embark to achieve the greatest feat that will go down in the annals of history that will be read and remembered by your children, your children's children, and throughout the future generations. Remember that, upon this day, you witnessed the crowning moment of our long and determined efforts. We have tasted defeat, victory, sacrifice, reward, and overcome the shadow of despair that we were forced to endure for generations! Today, we declare to the galaxy that this Empire will never falter! That we will continue to meet every challenge head-on and overcome any obstacle! And that will not fall back into the shadows of our past never again!
His voice echoed for a moment upon the silent bridge of his flagship.
Remember what you fight for. Remember why you are Imperial. And remember that you all are the strength of the First Order. Remember that you have seen the First Order rise, that you have seen the Empire reborn, and that you have witnessed the end of those who stood in our way. Ad Gloriam! Ad Victoriam!
Seconds after the speech ended, hyperspace sequences and coordinates were punched into the consoles and the grand armada jumped for Mon Calamari in bits and pieces. The last ship to leave was the Emperor's flagship. Soon, the space over Taris was empty and voided.

"Ad Gloriam! Ad Victoriam!" Ishild replies while coming to attention and saluting with all those present once the Emperor, following Piett's brief and coolly assured contribution to the discussion at hand regarding the plausibility of the ailing Galactic Alliance possessing the means to mount a counteroffensive such as Needa has suggested, has concluded the briefing. Whether or not any changes in the initial battle plan will come about from all that had been discussed is unclear, though Ishild is largely untroubled; either Delvardus will leave it to Needa and Petrovsky decide how to manage their respective flanks, or they will proceed as planned. Needa may not have succeeded in swaying Delvardus to adjust his plan, but Ishild is confident that all present will, if nothing else, have Needa's concerns in the backs of their minds and therefore be more prepared for the unexpected which inevitably arises in any battle, no matter how certain the intelligence informing a battle plan might be.
Delvardus may have oversimplified his characterizations of Petrovsky and Needa, for neither man is likely to prove to be possessed of only one defining feature of their tactical thinking, but Ishild feels confident that, under their joint leadership, the Galactic Alliance will at long last be put out of its misery no matter what surprises the impending battle might hold in store.
Though Petrovsky has not given any indication that he wishes to speak with her at this time, Ishild knows that they will need to speak together at some point, be it here and now or at another time in another place, and so that she might learn when and where he intends for them to discuss what needs be discussed regarding their role in the impending battle, strides towards him and comes to attention, greeting him with the formal courtesy due to him by virtue of his rank, "High Admiral Petrovsky." As the discussions about the battle ahead wind down and everyone is dismissed to continue preparations, Petrovsky is approached by Admiral Sauer. Acknowledging her greeting he replied with his own."Admiral Sauer. A pleasure. As you were."Having Sauer as his second would prove vital, as managing the entire Right Flank was a huge undertaking, even for someone such as him. With the Emperor leading the charge and Needa managing the left flank, he was confident with their ability to counter whatever the Alliance would throw at them. Though Needa's concerns were warranted. And he would do what he could to keep a little something in reserve, just in case the Admiral's concerns were justified. He doubted they would be, but a good tactician never left all their options unexplored. Looking upon Sauer, he motioned for her to follow him."I'm glad you are here, Admiral. Your expertise will be a valuable asset. I trust you have questions? Please, speak freely."While always maintaining the professional discipline expected of an officer of his stature, he did enjoy allowing his subordinates the opportunity to speak freely, without being berated for it afterwards. He, himself, hadn't gotten this far in his career without learning to listen to those around him. Even the lowliest grunt could often times offer the greatest insight. And that sometimes meant the difference between victory and defeat. So he learned to listen. Just as he did with Needa. While he didn't agree with the man, he was willing to set aside some resources to counter the possibility. And, in order to make it successful, he'd have to coordinate with Needa as well. But for now, it was time to get to know Sauer. How she thought and how she processed the situation from a tactical standpoint.

The Imperial Navy is ever-changing, just as the First Order is. Progression is a key ideal of the renewed Empire and something that must continue to live on, even if peace comes to the nation one day. It will at least ensure this reincarnation survives and thrives. . . Tell me, Faelan, has Agamar been enough for your clan? I know our arrangement was meant to help rebuild and give the Mandalorians, who call themselves Bralor, a chance for something greater. Wars and politics have kept me busy so I want to know if our arrangement has still been to your satisfaction and that of your clan's satisfaction. Nodding in understanding of the sentiments Nicademus expresses about the need for any organism, be it an individual or an Empire, to continually change, adapt and challenge itself in order to avoid stagnation and decay, Faelan says nothing even though his thoughts turn to the deities of the ancient Mandalorian religion, Kad Ha'rangir and Arasuum; for Nicademus has nearly perfectly expressed the central lesson of the battle between the god of change and growth and the god of idleness and torpidity.
When asked about his clan's degree of satisfaction with the arrangement that was made with the First Order, Falean says, "My clan and I are more than satisfied with the arrangement, yes. It has enabled us to do all that we had hoped, and more. Deciding not to trouble Nicademus with the details of how the resources from Agamar, coupled with those received from the First Order, have helped contribute to the Mando'ade as a whole, Faelan adds lest Nicademus think he is expressing a desire to indulge in the kind of idleness and lack of progress mentioned only a moment ago, Which is not, of course, to say that if there are ever any additional ways that my clan or I can help the First Order increase its strength or reach as your Empire progresses, we will not continue to welcome opportunities to do so. I believe our arrangement is one that has, and will continue to, enable us both to accomplish great things together."

This was not the man that Faina had known. His face pale and skinny with more lines on it that she would remember the only part of him that looked the same was his eyes. Brown eyes that slowly rose to look at her. Hello Grandmaster Nikulin Faina does not immediately process all of the details of what Nicademus explains after beginning with the statement that Xeonon never truly betrayed his oath, her shock at learning that she had been mislead, coupled with her guilt for having believed the tale that had been spun at Xeonon's own request no matter how cleverly told or how universally believed it had been preventing her from absorbing all of the details that she will recall later.
The shame in Xeonon's eyes is mirrored in her own as Faina walks over to him while he removes the helm that had hidden his face, and in her mind it is only her shame that is warranted, for while her doubts about his loyalty feel to her a betrayal of their friendship and camaraderie, Xeonon never truly betrayed her trust anymore than he had truly betrayed his oath. Resting her hands on Xeonon's shoulders, Faina lowers her head after meeting his gaze for a moment in silence, his greeting her as Grandmaster a bitter reminder to her of how, were the universe just, the title that she feels now never rightfully belonged to her would still be his. Her voice, usually so even and controlled, cracks a little as Faina returns Xeonon's greeting by saying, "It should not have been you, Xeonon. Faina cannot blame Xeonon for choosing to take up the bitter cup he willingly drank from, anymore than she can blame Nicademus for letting him do so; she took in enough of what was explained to understand that the lie she and the universe were told was a necessary one, but Faina cannot help but wonder if someone else could have been selected to take on the burden Xeonon must now bear forevermore. I am sorry for ever doubting you, Faina says in a steadier voice as she consciously chooses not to add her guilt and sorrow to the weight on Xeonon's shoulders, my friend."

"Admiral Sauer. A pleasure. As you were. I'm glad you are here, Admiral. Your expertise will be a valuable asset. I trust you have questions? Please, speak freely." Though she relaxes slightly when Petrovsky indicates she need not remain at attention, Ishild's comportment loses none of its dignified poise as she clasps her hands behind her back and meets his eyes as he speaks.
Nodding to acknowledge Petrovsky's compliment, the simple gesture containing enough humility to denote no arrogance, Ishild does not address it further, old and experienced enough that she feels no need to seek to impress the High Admiral when how she acquits herself in the battle ahead will speak for itself. Petrovsky's question and the accompanying request that she speak freely suggests to Ishild that the combination was cleverly, subtly selected to afford him an opportunity to learn more about her and how much hand holding she might need, and so she chooses her questions with that in mind. The Emperor has already provided the battle plan, one that is not so rigidly defined that it does not afford Petrovsky and Needa with the latitude they will need to respond fluidly to the rapidly evolving circumstances encountered in any battle, and Ishild feels little need to revisit that plan, instead choosing her initial questions precisely to not only convey to Petrovsky that she understands the need to remain flexible but also that she will not need him to engage in any more hand holding than his usual command style requires of him. Her questions are voiced quickly, as much due to the fact she thinks well on her feet as to demonstrate that quality, "Which ships in our fleet will be under my command, sir, and how will we be dividing the responsibilities of the right flank?"
