First Order Invasion. Malidris.
As Stavrax and Zinn continued to move towards the ICF debriefing station, someone began to call Stavrax on his commlink. Stavrax wondered who called be hailing him during an invasion. It was most likely the Commander-in-Chief, Donnovan Brenick or it was Major Blackwood. Stavrax and Zinn took cover in a bombed out house.
"Zinn, cover me while I answer the comm"
"Yes, sir"
Sergeant Stavrax, This is Major Blackwood do you copy?
"Stavrax here sir, i copy"
It's good to hear your voice solider. Now i know you are smack dab in the middle of this invasion so i'll make this quick. Orders from the Commander-in-Chief just hit my desk, he wants a team to go and help defend Starport Velecta. It just so happens that you and Private Zinn are the closest soldiers nearby. I'll try to send more in, but for now it's you and the Private. Over the commlink sounds of blaster fire could be heard. goddamn it.
With that the commlink went dead. Stavrax now had orders from the Major. He would head to the Starport and help defend it, then once it was safe he would try to reach the Major or anyone at ICF.
"Listen up, Private. We got new orders, we are to head over to Starport Velecta and help defend it, let's move out"
Copy that sir, the starport is only a few city blocks from her should be there in no time.
Stavrax and Zinn moved from their cover and proceeded to the Starport, all the while taking fire and returning it. It was about three blocks later that they run into a group of civilians that were trying to defend their home from a small squad of the hostile soldiers. Stavrax signaled Zinn and the two took up positions around the enemy and began to open fire carefully placing their shots as to miss the civilians. After a brief shoot out most of the hostile soldiers were taken out.
"All of you follow me, we'll take you to the starport from there you can either catch a ride off world or banker down with us, staying here is not an option."
Stavrax started to head to the Starport with the group of civilians following behind him with Private Zinn bringing up the rear. After a solid ten minutes Stavrax could see the top of the Starport. It was just a little further away, they should reach it in ten minutes.

First Order Invasion. Malidris. Starport Velecta.Kaz was now on the comm with the Iridonian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Donnovan Brenick. And despite the forces currently invading the city, Brenick was still not in the mood to negotiate with him."Sir. I understand you don't deal with terrorists, but we aren't. You've seen our work. We've never endangered civilians. We've never killed innocents. You know me well enough to know I still wan what's best of Iridonia. And right now that is for us to put aside our differences and unite under a common cause to fight a foreign power. I have the Starport secured. I also have the means to drive back that ship. You need to trust me and allow me and my men to do our jobs."A reply came from the blue hued image of the aged Zabrak that was Brenick.Son, the only reason I am even entertaining the idea is because we are rapidly losing ground. Our fleet and orbital defense platform weren't equipped to stand against the fleet arrayed against us. Without orbital support, we are stuck to playing this on the ground. Which is why I will be sending a team of soldiers to be my eyes and ears at the Starport. It's not that I don't trust you, but I don't trust you. If we win this, the fist thing I am doing is shutting your little movement down. Understood?Thinking quickly, Kaz knew it was the only way Brenick would support him and provide a unified defense against the invaders."Understood sir. Once this is over, I will dissolved the Red Vortex movement. But under one condition. We hold elections for a new Ruling Council and the crimes committed by the currently Councillors is brought to light."There was a strained silence between them, as Brenick thought over Kaz's terms. After a full minute of consideration, Brenick nodded. You have my word, Del Oucoa. We pull through this and drive off this invasion, and I will do what I can to ensure there is an election and the current Councillors are held accountable for their actions.Kaz nodded in satisfaction."That's all I ever wanted, sir. Someone at the top being held accountable for their actions. We'll defend this Starport to the very last. You can count on us. Del Oucoa out."And with that, Kaz terminated the link between him and the Commander-in-Chief. He then proceeded to open a channel with his forces."It's Kaz. We've made peace with the IAF. We are to defend this Starport to the very last man. Am I clear?"Several dozen acknowledgements reluctantly came through, but his forces were ready and willing to follow him. Now they needed to dig in and prepare for a fight. Once the enemy decided to move against the Starport, he was fairly certain they wouldn't hold back. Malidris. Starport Velecta. The invading forces had been throwing themselves against well defended Starport for hours, to no avail. Kaz Del Oucoa stood behind a barricade, reviewing the recently updated battle plans. As he mused of his next course of action, one of his underlings came up."Sir! Malidris is completely overrun. We are the last pocket of resistance. Orders?"Kaz shook his head in dismay. Despite their best efforts, they were still losing. Kaz sighed heavily and then issues orders."We are cut off, out numbered and out maneuvered. With the disappearance of the enemy ship, we've got a window to fall back. Load up the transports and let's fall back. Command hasn't checked in and we're under local comms blackout. We've got no eye or ears in the city. Once we are clear of Malidris, we'll signal the base..."Kaz glanced up at the weary faces around him. It was a tough call but it was the right one. Now all they had to do was focus on getting out of the city alive. Which, depending on the state of the city's defenses and where the enemy forces were positioned, would make leaving a task in and of itself. Kaz wasn't looking forward to it, but there was no other choice. There was no point in sticking around in a now hostile city just to be thrown in jail or executed. No, they would regroup in Wortan and catch their breath. They needed a break from this. Time to think. Time to plan. That's what was needed. And hopefully they'd get it...

Malidris. Starport Velecta.
Kaz was seeing to the last of the wounded being loaded up as a handful of civilians and two soldiers sporting the Iridonian Armed Forces uniform. Kaz made sure the Zabrak helping in was good, then jogged over to them. He noticed the chevrons on the male's uniform. He was a Sergeant.
"Sergeant. I'm grateful for the assist, however we are leaving the Spaceport. We don't have the resources to hold out against such a superior force. If you seriously want to help reclaim the planet, then mount up with us. We'll be heading back to Wortan. As far as we know, Wortan is still untouched."
Kaz eyed up the Sergeant, wondering if he'd accept the offer to evacuate from Malidris or if he's stay and eventually be forced to surrender. Leaving with what remained of the Red Vortex forces was the best option available in a shit situation. Remaining behind was almost a guaranteed death or imprisonment. Neither seemed that appealing. Hopefully this soldier was one of the smarter ones to come from the IAF.

The mood within the walled city had calmed down greatly in the days following the invasion by the First Order. Claiming the throne of Iridonia as his own, Viox Savage, High Admiral to the First Order and now the self proclaimed Sith'ari of Iridonia, had managed to conquer Malidris in record time. Originally under the banner of the First Order, Viox had also appealed to his people by reinstating his Clan. That allowed the First Order a new territory and it gave the Sith Lord a new place to rule that wasn't fully under Imperial rule. Despite the small pockets of resistance elsewhere on the planet, Malidris quickly returned to the 'business as usual' routine. Damaged sections of the city were repaired and trade was restored. Even the yarrock mines south of the city had been reopened. A lucrative decision, but one that brought the potential of vast wealth to Iridonia. Something that the planet could use in order to build itself back up to it's former glory.

Under the occupation of the First Order, Malidris was thriving. With commerce restored and trade booming to all of the First Order aligned worlds, Iridonia was becoming the jewel it was meant to be. Construction of Stormtrooper barracks within the city had been completed and the Zabrak and First Order engineers were busy repairing and constructing new defenses on the ground. A V-200 Ion Cannon was constructed in a secluded location behind the Dark Diamond Palace's lush gardens. Masked by the various flora on the ground, the weapon emplacement was visible from the skies, a testament to the newfound strength of the Iridonian people. With Clan Savage now uniting the divided Clans and the First Order supporting them, Iridonia was becoming a formidable bastion for the Sith'ari. Construction on a city wide shield generator had begun, eventually to be used to protect the city from orbital attacks. The Iridonian Armed Forces were replenished and reorganized into the Spectres, the Special Tactics and Reconnaissance Forces. Under the command of former Rhommamoolian Special Forces Gunnery Sergeant Oddessa Ky'Mantis, now promoted to Major General, the Spectres are the elite force of Iridonia. Former Sergeant Major Donnovan Malakane left the life of the main military after the events that transpired on Rhommamool and has now resurfaced on Iridonia as the Director of the Iridonian Security Bureau. And many more former soldiers and well known officials from Lord Savage's days on Rhommamool are making a return to Iridonia, flocking to the Sith's banner once more. Changes were coming and the future of Iridonia looked brighter than ever, under the new dark king...

While Mustafar was the official capital world of the Blackguard Reborn, Iridonia was its crowing jewel. Economy, stimulated by trade with the Hutt Cartel, caused the planet to boom. Since the Dark King has assumed the throne, many years ago, Iridonia had flourished under his rule. Clan Savage was the dominant clan of governance. Other clans flocked to their banner and several other clans had been crushed outright. Siphoning supplies and materials from the First Order all these years also benefitted the planet. Sophisticated military technology, rivalled only by the First Order itself, could be found here and most of it could be replicated, in small quantities. Enough to keep the Blackguard forces on Iridonia outfitted with their gear for a few years, at least. Peace and prosperity had returned to Iridonia. After the Iridonian Empire had all but abandoned the planet, leaving it to its own devices, the dark saviour, Sith'ari Savage, had come and restored the planet to it's former glory. The economy was booming, Malidris was a bustling hive of activity. And the Sith Academy was filled to capacity with students. As the Blackguard continued to grow, so did the wealth and prosperity of Iridonia.

Even with the Academy prospering, educating students and teaching them, life in Malidris continued on as it always had. People worked and lived their lives, uninterrupted by the larger goings-on within the rest of the galaxy. The Iridonian people continued on as they had done before. Building a future for themselves and ultimately, for the Blackguard Reborn, or as it would soon be known as, the Blackguard Imperium.

Continued from Sith Academy - Library and ArchivesVasari's heartbeat skyrocketed - her heart rate rising to some unknown unknown threat, something had panicked her and her body was visibly responding to it. She began to thrash on the gurney, still unconscious and it took a moment for the medical staff to answer, quickly restraining her and shooting a sedative into the IV that would calm her heartrate, once it finally reached the heart through the poison and the blood clotting chemicals they had already dosed her with, but after a moment her body calmed and her lips parted and she took three shallow breaths before her unconscious delerious mind forced a whisper from them before she once again fell silent..."Not me... Not me... Its not... not my choice... not.... my..."Vasari's eyes continued to glow with that same green power - the spell she held over his men grounded within her mind. The major and the gathered soldiers didn't falter when their former Master summoned the Zabrak warriors, even within Vasari's own mind the Sith lord had great power and was a very real threat to her already failing subconscious. As the two forces stared each other down awaiting the commands from their various Masters the two upon the thrown continued their struggle. Vasari's arm didn't give and the Zabrak's mechanical fingers were forced to crush the bone of the manifestation to pry the knife away from his throat.
Three drums beat in a chaotic rhythm...
The skin around Vasari's forearm began to crack like porcelain the facade of who she was failing - the beautiful and healthy Zabrak woman hiding the rotting carcass of a long dead spirit beneath, she began to age rapidly, her smooth skin turning hard and cracking, her bright eyes fading leaving only the green mist to light them, always the mist... it poured now from the cracks in her arm facilitating the change and the girl's neck tilted and cracked at an awkward almost inhuman angle as the undead creature hissed at the Sith Lord. The voices of the spirits within her, controlling her called out as one. "Your apprentice is gone! You have failed Sith'ari... and now as prophesied you will die! And your Spirit, and the Spirits of all within you will feed the rebirth of the Nightsisters! Through you... our clan will be reborn!"The manifestations of the slave soldiers raised their weapons and unleashed a volley of fire into the Zabrak's that Lord Savage had called to arms against them, the green mist spilling from the Spirit of the Sisters, and while all of this was happening within the mind of the unconscious apprentice the link forged between them to make this union of minds possible would make all of this feel very real. The Spirit released the knife and her fingers arced outwards sending arcs of emerald lightning towards the exposed flesh of the Sith lord's neck and chest, and the howl of the spirits within Vasari's body cried out for Vengeance, and Justice of a long forgotten travesty done to them. Justice that was now brought down upon the shoulders of the new Lord of the Sith

As the medical staff inside the bay of the shuttle stabilized Vasari's vitals, the Sith'ari continued to hold Vasari's hand, while remaining seated and seemingly oblivious to what just happened. His mind, however, was another matter entirely. Connected to Vasari's, and struggling to keep the spirits of the Elder's under control. The red gemstone embedded in his chest began to glow faintly.
The situation changed quickly. An unexpected turn. As the blaster fire rang off into the shadows that had gathered behind him, the knife was released, clattering to the floor noisily. A charge in the air began to build, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end. And that's when time began to slow to a near stand still state. The Elders were fueling his abilities, even here, inside his apprentice's mind. That alone, had the potential for disaster. But it was too late to stop it. As the emerald lightning began to slowly crackle between the spirit's decayed fingers, the Sith'ari was already on the move. Rising to his feet and vaulting backwards over the throne, he missed the brunt of the attack as time resumed it's normal pace. With a grimace, the Zabrak stood upright, eyes glowing purple. Extending his left hand outwards, forming a vise with his thumb and index finger, he gripped the spirit that had been Vasari and yanked it towards him, harder than intended...

~Airspace above Malidris~
As the medics worked to stabilize the delerious Zabrak her mutterings ceased and she fell still - her heartbeat returned to a semi-normal state and shaking ceased, her head lulling to the side slightly as the increased heartrate evened out and her body relaxed.
Within the mental space of the mind nothing worked the way it should - physical impossibilities became possible, limits were pushed, and boundaries were crossed without regard to reason or logic. The natural law did not govern here - only the power of the mind did. And so when Viox pulled the manifestation of Vasari towards him their wills clashed momentarily and the dreamscape world around them froze before Vasari's will gave way and the zombiefied being slipped from her grounded position at the foot of the throne towards Viox's position behind it. The throne separated them - as Viox had flipped backwards over it, and so when her body made contact her form exploded into a vibrant emerald mist.
The manifestations of Viox's men met the same fate - their forms each disappearing within a green mist that quickly formed a cloud around Viox and pulled him into a different level of Vasari's fractured mind. The scenery would have changed emensly through Viox's eyes as he would now find himself atop a castle parapet on Dathomir, unbeknownist to him the same castle Vasari had fought her final battle on the planet. The pull through the force completed and Vasari's throat was pulled into his open and waiting hand but with the rearrangement of scenery Vasari's form changed as well. Once again she appeared as she did on Dathomir, as normal. Through Viox's choking grasp she attempted to breath, looking up at him with shocked eyes - in pain and when Viox looked down he would see the knife that pierced her side there deeply imbedded within her body - with his hand upon the blade. Vasari's voice was panicked... surprised... when she finally choked out a response.
"Master... Why..."

As the scene changed, so did the consequences of his earlier maneuver. While Vasari had successfully been pulled to his outstretched grasp, he had unknowingly pulled the blade she had attempted to kill him with, in his hand and the momentum from his pull had placed the knife in her side. The same side she was injured on in the real world. Shock filled the Sith'ari's eyes. Despite having a powerful mind, unbeknownst to the rest of the Blackguard, his mental faculties were fraying and fracturing under the strain of maintaining the Elders within his mind. Yes, the crystal embedded in his chest certainly helped slow the deterioration, but it didn't stop it.
"N-n-no...this isn't...I wasn't the one to do this..."
Shaking his head, the Zabrak released the blade and his apprentice both, though he did help ease Vasari down, rather than just dropping her. Gritting his teeth in anger, he was beginning to understand what was going on. The toxin in her bloodstream. It wasn't that of a typical poison. It was Nightsister magicks. Though he wasn't entirely sure how he knew that, he knew what needed to be done. Returning his attentions to his apprentice, now laying in his arms as he knelt on the ground, he spoke softly to her.
"This isn't the way this happened, apprentice. I am saving you from what happened, not causing it. You know that..."
Inhaling slowly, the Zabrak closed his eyes and began to concentrate on healing Vasari's broken mind. Forcing the magicks out of both her mind and her body. And while it may be successful, it wouldn't be permanent. If he stopped focusing for even a moment, her mind would revert back to it's fractured state. But he needed her to realize what was happening, rather than reacting to what she was doing...

The fever holding Vasari's body enthrawled grew, and as a result her skin grew hot to the touch, even the palm of her hand held tight within Viox's grew warm and began to sweat. The young Zabrak was healthy - outside of her current circumstances - and her body was strong, that was the only reason she had not succumbed to the poison inside her already. Her heartbeat was slow, but steady... the sedative they gave her having more effect than it would normally since her bodies blood supply was only pumping through a single heart. While she did not verbally reply to Viox's mental attempts to heal her mind and lock the poison away within her body, her fingers curled slightly around the hand that held them - as if she was attempting to hold on to him as she sunk deeper and deeper into the sea of memory that lay below her subconscious control.
Vasari's body shivered and her tattooed red skin grew a little pale as the manifestation of her consciousness slumped to the ground. Her deteriorating mental state continued to fall apart, and even the magicks that were attempting to turn her mind against her master's intruding presence found little to work with. The world around them was a combined effort created by the both of their minds, and even though Viox might have had mental training, and considerable strength to draw upon... holding together an illusion of memory within someone else's without their help was difficult under the best of circumstances. The Dathomirian landscape faded away as a result of Vasari's failing subconscious, and soon all that remained was the castle parapet's rooftop, beginning to crack and fracture beneath where they lay - the same as it had right before Vasari had dropped to her supposed death.
Vasari's eyes fluttered open and closed, her breath fast - the visual affects of adrenaline burning through her body apparent. Her eyes fought to focus she was herself once again - or at least as much herself as she could feel. There was another consciousness within her mind - Viox... her master! She focused her mind, and so her eyes narrowed as she turned her head to look up at him, finding herself half cradled in his arms like a wounded child.
"Master...?"Her voice was slightly panicked, but it was her. She didn't seem to even remember the accusation that he had done this to her, and she visually seemed relieved to see him."Aleena... she..."She half sat up, reaching out in vain towards where Luxeria would have been if this was a memory... but she was gone, and a cough racked her body and she brought up a gloved hand to cover her mouth - half turning her head and coughing deep in her chest - the sound was not a pleasant one, and when she pulled her gloved hand away it, and her lips were stained with blood."You... you came for me...?"She asked curiously, no longer aware of her surroundings, or her situation. There was a clarity of mind when Viox pushed back the presence of the Nightsister's poison, but her subconscious was too weak to fill in the gaps of the last weeks since the last time she had been on this rooftop.

As the shuttle made it's way towards Malidris Medical Center, the medics within the shuttle had managed to administer an anti-toxin that would help neutralize some of the harmful effects of the toxin running through Vasari's veins. While the toxin in question was still unknown, some of the side effects could be countered. And now that proper antiseptic could be applied and gauze could be utilized, the wound on her side wasn't life-threatening. The eerie red glow emanating from the Sith'ari's chest had intensified as he focused more of both his power and the power the Elders granted him, into holding back the toxin that was causing Vasari's mind to deteriorate.
In Vasari's mind, while everything around them seemed to fade away, Vasari herself seemed to come into focus as she regained some portion of her mind. Still holding her in his arm, his eyes searched her face, taking note of the confusion, both visible on her face and heard in her voice.
"You are my apprentice. Of course I came for you..."
In truth, technically she returned to a familiar place, which allowed for him to come for her. If he hadn't deemed her life more important than the conquest of the Sith Worlds and the final assault upon Nfolgai, she most likely would be dead and he would be halfway through routing the heretical Sith's forces. But, the Force had other plans. Ensuring Vasari's safety was his priority, after all. She was his apprentice. And if he did his duty proper, she would become the next force to be reckoned with in this galaxy.

~Malidris Medical Center - Landing Pad 3~
As the medical transport began its landing sequence the mid morning sky began to darken - storm clouds began to form above the Capital city of Iridonia and they sparked with the power of the force. Any conscious being could feel the ionization in the air, but those attuned to the force would feel a draw towards the medical facility - the source of the unnatural cloud coverage growing to block the view of the sunrise on the horizon. Vasari's eyes opened but there was no consciousness or sight within them. Her usual yellow and orange irises were now encircled with a emerald glow...
Their shared mindscape continued to lose integrity - the apprentices mind relying more and more on the strength of the master's just to remain present within the cloudiness of her subconscious - but for the moment the torrential sea of raw untamed throughtspace remained at bay, but should the apprentices mind break under the strain of the poison and the strength of the parasitical spirit within her, her sense of self would be lost beneath its waves. Vasari's projection smiled up at the words Viox had said but then once again their scenery faded away and Viox was left alone in darkness for a short period of time - the blackness served as a stepping back point for the intruding mind, and when it faded he found himself walk through the doors - blinded momentarily by the morning sun as he walked through the opening doors of the Sith Academy they had just departed. The smell of battle still hung in the air - burnt or charred flesh, carbon scoring on stone and steel walls, the scent of blood and death still in the air but faded enough for him to sense some time had passed since the battle. The Flag of the First Order was flying above the main building, and two flanked the doorway that led into the courtyard. The remaining Masters and most of the students stood before him assembled to greet their new King - the new Sith'ari of Iridonia.
It was days after the battle where Viox had taken the planet - the first time he had come to the Academy since then, it was before he had met Vasari, but she was there that day, standing apart from the group of loyal assembled students. This one stood in the shadows of the great pillars of the Archive building - the doorway still had not been cleared and from the breach of the First Order strike team that she herself had helped fight off. Her eyes were narrowed upon the Sith'ari the look aggressive, but there was no reading her mind - it was perfectly composed and blocked off.
If it had not become clear to the Sith Lord yet - he was reliving Vasari's first memory of him as she attempted to hold on to what she knew was real. As Viox made his approach to the Assembled Master's ready to greet him Vasari muttered under her breath - barely even loud enough for her to hear
"Great... another puppet of the First Order..."
The fact that the self proclaimed Emperor of the Universe had sent one of their own to capture this world meant nothing to her - politics meant even less, Vasari had felt close to a breakthrough in her studies for weeks leading to this invasion - she felt as if the force was trying to guide her to something and she was days, perhaps hours away from realizing just what that was before the invasion had reached the academy, and since then she had felt nothing. She blamed it entirely on the peacock strutting through the sea of sheep gathered in fear to worship him. Vasari's mind seethed beneath a well maintained facade of indifference, but her anger was threatening to unbalance her and so she reached out to the Sith'ari's mind, cloaking her approach as she had learned and did her beast to slip through his defenses while he was distracted by the fan-fair around him. She wanted to know just what sort of man she had helped win 'her' Academy.

Ignoring what was happening in the real world, the Zabrak recognized this memory. The very first time he had walked the Academy's halls, still under the employ of the First Order. Though at that point, it wouldn't be for much longer. The assembled students and remaining masters, gathered to be introduced to the conqueror of their world. His world, he reminded himself. These were his people. And they had been directionless for far too long. After the Iridonian Empire disappeared and abandoned Iridonia...well...that was unacceptable. And he intended to correct that error. Falling into step beside him was the future headmaster, Alaric Von Dredd. The masked being cleared his throat and began speaking.
The students and remaining masters have surrendered to your superior might, my lord. A full list of casualties is being compiled and the slain masters will need to be replaced to ensure the Academy continues to function...-
As the future headmaster droned on about what needed to be done, a young student caught his eye. A female zabrak of red skin bearing the tribal tattoos that proved she was worthy. A difficult trial. But an important one none-the-less. There was something about her though....several flashes crossed his mind. Vivid images of a bandaged and bloodied Zabrak. Of this woman he had noticed. And then it clicked. He was within her mind. Attempting to keep her alive. Stopping in his tracks, the memory continued to play out as if he was still apart of it.
"Vasari! You need to focus! Clear your mind and remember!"

~Maldris Medical Center: Landing Pad 3~
As the shuttle touched down on the landing pad a bolt of green lightning split from the cloudy sky above. The bolt looked just like the Ichor Lightning Vasari was so fond of calling to leech life energy through the living force from her opponent powering her own connection to life around her. Usually non-lethal the lightning was still quite painful, but the bolt that struck now left a large scorched mark across the medical carrier's hull and caused its landing to be briefly interrupted as the engine below where the bolt had struck surged and caught fire. Medics awaiting the Sith'ari and their patient ducked for cover as the medical transport's engine sparked and flamed until the fire surpression system aboard the ship took over and extinquished the fire.
Several more bolts of lightning struck the roof of the medical center and the rooftops of nearby buildings even arcing down into the streets below seeking any life form and striking nearby. Each strike left a fire that spread to anything flamable or burned out quickly. Within the Medical transport however Vasari's eyes were still bright green even though her body was still lifeless. Eventually she spoke softly - but the sound of the voice was not her own nor was it angry, or taunting... the voice was soft and spoke simply.
"Your world will burn... Sith'ari...and you will still lose her. She is a daughter of Dathomir, she belongs to us."
Within the memory that kept Vasari's mind alive she stood with arms crossed in the shadow of Archive's front pillars. She watched as the Zabrak male that was now their 'king' surveyed the men and women assembled around him - ignoring the man who stood talking at his side. Vasari's gaze shifted to the Battlemaster whom she had fought side by side with during the invasion. The warriors stoic eyes were front facing as she stood in a line with the other surviving Masters. When Vasari looked back at Viox he didn't seem to be moving. She scoffed and reached out her mind towards the Sith'ari's subtle at first but eventually pressing into his thoughts while hiding her own advance among the minds of the hundreds assembled around him. She didn't even smirk as she pressed against his mental defenses surprised to even find any at all. When she did she felt something beneath the surface a strange feeling like the one you might receive eavesdropping on a room full of people and suddenly they all went quiet as if they had heard you. She hesitated a moment but didn't pull back. She wasn't afraid of him. Then she heard a voice - a voice that seemed out of place in this moment - asking, no telling her to focus. Focus on what? She had learned to trust these feelings, accepting many of them as the will of the living force, and focused harder on the Sith'ari's mind, pressing against his mental defenses tearing them down with the power of her trained mind.

Fending off the poisons to heal Vasari for the time being and maintaining a stable connection to Vasari's mind was beginning to tax the Sith'ari, even with the aid from the Elders within his mind. The Dathomirian Witches that were attempting to prevent him from retrieving his apprentice were also beginning to wear on his patience. But he continually reminded himself that his objective here was not to harm Vasari, but rather, help her. Which is why he decided to do something unexpected next. Sitting down before Vasari in her own mind, crossing his legs, the Sith'ari began to chant an incantation...
"Tuti tsosûtukwi ra ritas, zami tu'iyia asarsi, wisa tuti zûtamishi." (Be deceived no longer, awaken your mind, all is revealed.)
It was a spell, from an old book that had belonged to his mother. The Spell of Discovery, as the Sith'ari had learned, was one of many spells used by the Dathomirian Witches. And, as he had learned, either his mother was a Nightsister, or she was obsessed with them, due to the amount of writings he had found, dedicated to their culture and their spells. Hopefully, by chanting this spell, Vasari's mind would be able to detect the truth of what was happening, and detect those who were around her in the physical world.
"Tuti tsosûtukwi ra ritas, zami tu'iyia asarsi, wisa tuti zûtamishi." (Be deceived no longer, awaken your mind, all is revealed.)
He continued to chant, hoping the spell was legitimate and would be effective.
"Tuti tsosûtukwi ra ritas, zami tu'iyia asarsi, wisa tuti zûtamishi." (Be deceived no longer, awaken your mind, all is revealed.)
And again, he recited the words, channeling his will and his connection to the Force into the spell, affecting its potency...

*With the strength of the Zabrak's mind focused on reaching his apprentice below the roaring ocean of raw uncontrolled thought that her mind had digressed into, there would little to pressure the mind opposing him as it attacked without care of its own well being. The strength of a mental assault made without care for defense was just as raw and powerful as the sea of thought and Viox's mind would be like a single wave break attempting to hold back the rising tide of her mind. It would be painful, and it just might break him down before he was able to reach his goal.
Deep below the surface Vasari's mind slumbered but it was a restless sleep - she was only partially aware of what was happening around her since she had slipped into unconsciousness in Viox's arms in the middle of the throne room their mutual minds have put together. The poison had run its course and her body was dying, but her mind had chosen to block itself away when she had realized that she could not beat it the effects.
"Tuti tsosûtukwi ra ritas, zami tu'iyia asarsi, wisa tuti zûtamishi."
"Master..."
*Vasari's sleeping mind was nudged awake by the repetitive chanting of the spell. She recognized the words and the basic meaning but she was unfamiliar with the spell or its purpose, yet her mind was drawn forward to address it - curious as ever and eager and willing to learn. She became self aware of her surroundings immediately she had built her mindscape up from the sea of raw thought when she was a young girl, and even now this deep she knew where she was. A moment later she reached her mind out and realized that the last defenses of her mind had crumbled and the full brunt of the invading presence - the spirit that she had sensed and that had beaten her this deep into her own mind was hurling itself headlong at Viox' mind.
Her mind's eye blinked - marveling for a long moment at the fact that Viox was able to withstand the assault - the focal point was still her mind, and the attack was not subtle - it was the brute force that a fighter like Viox would have been trained against for the majority of his life... but she knew her own power, and was painfully aware at the toll this would take on her Master, growing worse the longer she hesitated. She couldn't comprehend how all of this knowledge was coming to her so easily, it was as if her sleeping mind was aware of everything that had happened while she slumbered and in the first moments of wakefulness knew exactly what needed to happen, and her mind set to work at once...
"Hold on Master... A little longer..."

Having been left in the shuttle's bay, as it was difficult to move either of them, the Sith'ari and his apprentice remained. Vasari, laying on the gurney and Viox, sitting opposite of her, his hands wrapped around her own. As powerful as he was and even with the assistance of six individual entities within his mind and the focusing power of the crystal embedded within his chest, his strength was weaning. His focus was split between keeping the poison at bay, temporarily reversing the effects to some of her organs and chanting the Spell of Discovery to try and bring her mind back to the present. One of those tasks alone, was no easy feat. And the two of them combined, near impossible. Blood began to trickle from his nose and ears, a sign of an over taxed brain. But he gritted his teeth and held on. Because deep down, he cared for his apprentice. Normally above such connections, there was something irrefutable about her. And at this level of connection to her, deep within the recesses of her own mind, that connection was impossible to ignore. And it was that connection that allowed for him to continue pushing back against whatever it was that ailed her...because he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if something were to happen to her now...
