Ignoring Ciarán she expanded -Morrígu- “Consider… Manaan is a nightmare. And never mind landing; I am talking security wise. We have an oceanic planet with the entire populous housed on single city island…. Population of 100 billion at peak. 100 billion!” Smiling she moved on -Morrígu- “Coruscant…. A city planet. The number of people is simply stupefying. Air traffic control? Ouch!” Looking around her -Morrígu- “And… here.” Now a bit insecure shrugged her shoulders -Morrígu- "Another possibilty would be Hutt space." Looking down -Morrígu- "That is before we begin to investigate the remote regions with low population density."

Both listened. Closely. This was a simple girl. An exceptionally Intelligent one and one with some downright extraordinary experiences but simple nonetheless. It made for a unique individual. And her points were sharp. Very. That left both speechless. No fast retorts flowed from either. If anything she was winning them over. Laoch remained silent but Ciarán openly conceded -Ciarán- "Alright." Looking down a good long moment he then put the discussion back in her court, quite decidedly -Ciarán- "So what's the call now.?" Laoch focused into the girl intensely

The woman looked across the table -Morrígu- “Let me first add another piece to the puzzle; complete the dimensions that we are working under….” So calm now some might at first glance believe the woman in a hypnotic trance -Morrígu- “Kuat….” She watched the faces as she dropped the name down -Morrígu- “Almost 4 billion people inhabit that monstrous ring around the planet….” A look of hopeless frustration crossing her face -Morrígu- “Are we to believe that every single Wayfarer or small civilian ship crossing into Kaut orbit is stopped and searched?” -Morrígu- Again a desperate look on her face -Morrígu- “All it would do is create a traffic jam of unmitigated proportions.” -Morrígu- Eyes widening “And is anybody fool enough to suggest that such would even put a dent in crime; smugglers are far too wise to be caught up in something like that.” Not getting caught up in engaging the odd relationship that oft develops between totalitarian states and the criminal element she instead smiled asserting -Morrígu- “And an empire would crumble holding up such vigilance….” Adding quickly -Morrígu- “And go broke in the process.” She had more than made her point but the onslaught yet exhausted she burst out again -Morrígu- “From a sociological perspective I could go on for hours about the structural functionalist need for delinquency to promote, indeed sustain even the most oppressive of regimes.” Feeling that her speech was dragging out quickly added -Morrígu- “But I won’t.” Pausing a moment she lit a cigarette -Morrígu- “We have a team now…. A good team at that. Some exceptional ships are now at our disposal. And to paraphrase on of the greats of the literary giants, the universe is our oyster.” Then with a look of utter despair -Morrígu- “Do experienced people always make things so complicated?” There she rested her case sitting back. Boland was speechless. Quite frankly he wanted to applaud. Even Maureen and the dog now sat on the ground beside the table listening intently

Laoch's eyes shot to right. That was numbing to say the least. After he processed what had been said eyes shooting back to the woman -Laoch- "So you just say that we roll hard?" Not missing a beat Ciarán responded -Ciarán- "No fool! What the lady is saying is nice and easy...." To that Laoch nodded -Laoch- "Gotta; passive under any circumstance." Smacking himself in the forehead three times -Ciarán- "Look Laoch, I respect you and all...." Cutting him off asking in an exasperated tone -Laoch- "Well what are we doing?" Laoch was far from a stupid individual but few of many who knew him would question the fact that he tended to see things as black or white, which ironically fit the whole Sith dichotomy but was counter to the tribal belief system of their belated Grandfather, under which they were schooled and professed. Here Ciarán, almost as if to a child -Ciarán- "We go in quiet. Do our business quiet. You dig?" Laoch nodded, mouth opening to answer but Ciarán continued -Ciarán- "And if anybody engages us - aggressively. Anyone." Looking down now -Ciarán- "We cut through them like Vader's Fist through a Jawa." The metaphor brought a smile to the face of Laoch. There Ciarán accented the point -Ciarán- "Nice and quiet." Laoch nodded more than understanding. Again, under the smokescreen of tremendous war cries and wide open savage annihilation of enemies the family in which they were raised committed a myriad of horrific covert acts

Work was now down to the finest detail. The central effort was now being applied to appearance. This was considerably exacting as the space between a worn looking ship and a ship obviously beat up in order to appear being worn was very thin. Briget watched over her crew. She gave a word here another there and the very rare abrupt "stop, wtf are you doing?" but for the most part her team knew what needed doing and did just that. Her personal droids, R2-D8 and the alcoholic Z3PO protocol droid stood with her, the astromech droid aid work on the vessel quite sporadically

Like two young children into grandpa's glove compartment (which with this family was comparable to two children playing in grandpa Al Capone's glove compartment) the boys in earnest went over maps. Unsophisticated parchment torn from atlas at the Jedi Library by the Old man on a rip. But they were maps. So far they had Juvex to Manaan figured out.... Now... Corruscant or Kuat next?

Briget at last sat comfortably in a seat with a rich black coffee. The work on the ship was complete. She sat looking at the finished product and sighed happily. It looked like a ship that would barely make it to dock before the engine finally died. And the fine detail put into customization of the engines was second to none. Indeed the ship had been modified down to the minutest detail. It was a piece of pure craftsmanship. All that left unfinished for the YT-1300 light freighter was naming. She sighed admiring her team’s stellar work

Ciarán stood and walked over to the ship and turned facing all, a bottle in right hand. Laoch followed, standing at his right

Morrígu stood, facing the pair. Boland also rose, standing at her left. Following suit Maureen stood at her right with Cú Faoil standing beside the child. Lastly The Raven settled on the woman’s shoulder

Allowing a long moment to pass then loudly clearing his throat Ciarán spoke -Ciarán- “The time for christening the ship is nigh, as An Tiarna in his wisdom looks down from on high!” Left hand caressing his beard Ciarán then announced “I dub thee The Utopic Vulture!!!” And with that he smashed a bottle of An Tiarna Stout on the ship. Laoch wept, mourning the waste of good stout momentarily wept but pulled himself together. Ciaran then shook hands with him and both turned admiring the ship, That and the great care simply observable on the exterior of the vessel. Laoch lusted sitting in the cockpit of the ship

They had waited long enough. They had an objective, albeit rather muddled. This would be exploratory. Probing as it were to see what was left of their own out there in the universe. A solid group, one led by what Ciarán had come to believe was one tough lady. Granted she was inexperienced but he was a good judge of character and he trusted the woman. Laoch stood smoking a cigarette. He was ready. The two silently signaled Boland and all were hustled aboard the freighter

Boland wasted no time, taking the pilot seat he began firing the ship up. Morrígu took the co-pilots position as Maureen sat back with the dog at her side. Lighting a cigarette Boland nodded and they unceremoniously lifted off into the air and like that were gone

A ship descended entering a lonely hanger bay. The scene that transpired following an abrupt landing on Dock #BADIDEA666 would turn into urban legend among a select few and eventually go down into the pages of The Book of Worthless Miracles kept by some extremely bored historian. Boland, the ship safely grounded shut the engine down. Then abruptly turning to defend his friend Laoch hurled a throwing knife at Ciarán

The knife sailed across the ship, finding itself deftly caught by the hand Ciarán, who in turn neatly flipped it violently back towards Boland. Laoch moved by Boland’s exhibition of chivalry caught Ciarán in the jaw with a straight right. Ciarán rolling with the punch took Laoch’s arm in hand and guided him violently into the wall behind him

Boland catching the knife in the left shoulder let out a yell that would curl hair -Boland- “Mother of all things holy!” Right hand grabbing the blade he pulled it out set to nail the gangster Maureen jaw dropped and defensively pulled herself into a corner behind Cú Faoil, who leapt forward jaws closing on Laoch’s left leg Then the whole ridiculous eruption came to a screeching halt as Morrígu stood bellowing -Morrígu- “Knock it off!!!” Cú Faoil passively sat, head down as Maureen stroked his back reassuringly. Boland, much like the dog, folded faster than super man on laundry day. Peace re-established the woman sat without a word further chastising the sorted lot. The Raven sat on the woman's sinister shoulder a silent witness, marvelling at the exhibition of human stupidity

Laoch, rendered unconscious as his head struck the wall was quickly revived by the jaws clapping down on his leg. He stood alert straight into Morrígu screaming and sulked back to his seat glaring at the dog then Ciarán before resting his eyes on the floor. Ciaran, unharmed by any of the shenanigans sat back calm, cool and collective

Looking around the ship, left then right; high and low, Morrígu announced -Morrígu- "This place could afford some renovations." At that she began, Maureen lending a hand. The woman spoke as she had a go at the ship. Incoherent mumbling mainly, much of which Maureen acted on, or some other poor fool aboard the vessel who got in her way. A few words here and there were clear, mostly cussing or making no sense. A few things said were understandable. "We need conduct ourselves like intergalactic Romani."

The words settled with ease on the minds of both Laoch and Ciarán. Then with terror the mental image of the ship after she was done with it crossed Ciarán's mind. Eyes shooting wide he closed them fast trying to drive the demons from his inner eye and hoping he did not open them to a nightmare. The image born of the last word that fell from her lips brought a different image to mind. Ciarán could see men, women, even children brought to a horrible place then shackled and caged. He then saw the same people unclothed huddled together unclothed. Ciarán tried desperate to turn from the image, an image in his own mind. The bodies with the faces he remembered now lie in mass graves and as men scurried above them throwing water on the bodies. One lit a match and set the pyre alight. He could smell the pungent odor of flesh burning. Thankfully the image changed into one of rolling free down a road. Free rider. That was what Morrígu meant when she said 'Romani.' Beautiful word; beautiful way of life.... Just don't cross me

Briget and her team took another crack at The Utopic Vulture, a beautiful YT-1300 light freighter. Shroud tech was installed as a conter-measure against unwanted use of tractor beams. She poured herself into this and several other small projects with the ship. A true love for the vessel was developing. She whistled as she worked. Stopping a moment she muttered -Briget- "Thank the Gods that you can't talk...." With she went back to tending to the man in her life with caring hands. The already heavily modified Gráinne Mhaol, the Wayfarer class medium transport belonging to Ciarán and Laoch was docked. Suddenly the The Utopic Vulture had some competition for attention. Luckily neither were immature or jealous. Briget herself was entering heaven

Abruptly Boland spoke -Boland- "An lucht siúil is what we call Wanderers. The walking people." Head nodding to the left -Boland- "We ourselves place so much emphasise on possessing property." Speaking as one from the culture that produced the likes of An Tiarna, he continued "Due to having had our own taken by colonialists, then having to fight to regain it again." He paused -Boland- "And an unfortunate... side-effect of that colonial condition is that we can look down on Wanderers...." He left the statement stand at that and went back to toying with a knife and whetstone
