*Something was nearby... but the Shadowlands were a mess of dark side influence, hard to see through the Force. Pinpointing the presence was nigh impossible, but he slowed the speeder as he attempted to let his senses take over. It wasn't working out too well, though it did at the least narrow down the general area the presence resided within. Maybe if he had the concentration and strength in the light that would've allowed him to cut through this fog...
So he tried a different idea. They were clearly on foot, if they weren't this far away from the structure. Pulling to a stop, he stood up in the seat of the speeder, the purple blade of his lightsaber screaming to life.* "Your presence is known, darksider!" *he called out.* "Your time on Kashyyyk is over!"

Azoth roamed the area slowly getting away from the ruins heading toward the ship, When he hears a yell from someone or something, he pauses for a bit. Holds up his weapon ready to fire, When he hears something else which what his instincts were telling him, A Katarn jumped from above toward azoth as it flew through the air Azoth spun and shot at the creature. It quickly moved away from the blast, The suppressor muffled most of the sound but then it made a small noise as it struck a tree. Azoth was reminded of his training back hear in the days of old As the creature made for another dash at him he waited till the last minute and turned out of the way and his blade in the sleeve shot out and sliced in twain. He thought to himself damn he is rusty he killed these easier before, something changed whether it was from his Lords power, or just nature changing over time He holstered his rifle and pulled out his blade This will be more stealthy He chuckled at himself being called a darksider

*The moment the sound of a blaster making impact reached his ears Ambar spun to face it, saber humming as it spun to meet a bolt that never came. He scowled, but after only a moment's hesitation he hopped off the speeder, instructing Samantha and the Wookiee,* "Stay here," *before darting off in the general direction the blaster bolt came from. The first thing he noticed was the corpse of a katarn laying upon the ground, which explained the sounds. But the presence was closer now.* "Where are you..." *he muttered, keeping his senses on high alert.*

*Ambar sensed the incoming danger, turning just in time to see the object hurtling through the air. His arm shot up, instinctively pushing the grenade just far enough away before it could detonate. He turned his head just in time but the sounds briefly stirred up his senses. As he managed to recover, the Shadowlands suddenly became much more alive with the activity of startled wildlife.* "Damn it," *he murmured, the closest he'd get to acknowledging the enemy's creativity.
He tried to recall the direction the grenade had come from. He was pretty certain he could remember that at least, though it took him a few moments of scanning the area for him to pinpoint the brief glimpse in his memory. Although an inconsistency suddenly struck him: Since when did darksiders carry grenades? Or at the very least, used them as distractions? Was it a trick? Or was there a cohort?
Something was unusual, and Ambar quickly jogged towards the direction he believed the grenade had come from...*

A few more of these raids happened, or as Xitan stated, he permitted them to occur in order to better understand what he was dealing with. The reports that came revealed precisely what was being noted: lightsaber wielding Wookiees with colors associated with the Sith. Xitan forbade investigation in order to conserve their forces for the raiding. Still, he was intrigued and it made the Sith decide to venture to the area with a select guard of Stormtroopers and Sentinel War-Droids, alongside the Myrmidons. His strongest warrior, Rancor, even came along for extra muscle. Keeping to the edge of the Shadowlands, the small group moved about, inspecting here and there. It didn't take long for them to find signs of sinister shrines and ominous altars to dark spirits. The Feral and the Pharaoh King were recognized, thanks to droids that inspected the handwriting of the Wookiees. It was hard to say what they were for, but inspecting the area around, the Sith found skeletons here and there, sacrifices to these devilish spirits. Xitan planned to enter the Shadowland fully and contend with these dark warriors... but for now, he would patient and see if they came to him.

FORWARD!
The voice of an officer was heard amidst blaster fire and lightsabers humming. The Shadowlands had been penetrated. The actions of the Sith and Imperials had stirred whatever cult of Dark Wookiees lurked within these trees and brought them out in force. A heavy guard of Stormtroopers and Sentinel Droids burst through defensive positions that they had crafted, scoring a sound hit upon the vanguard of Wookiees. They were soon followed up by Sith Warriors who clashed with these dark warriors. Xitan, himself, cutting down three before inspecting the field of battle.
The reports sung true. There was an order of Dark Side Wookiees that were within these trees, likely remnants of the Sith Order that called this place home. And, perhaps, converts to swell the ranks of the veterans that remained. Intelligence did have a report of a Jedi Crusade that liberated this world, but if the Shadowlands had been the home of the Sith, it was doubtful that the Jedi had truly scoured the world and eliminated their presence. Already, Xitan had faced one of these veterans, who proved quite the match. They must be the leaders of the tribes that followed the dark spirits of Feral and Warlock. Highly skilled, highly motivated, and certainly strong... the Sith had found something worthwhile and he planned to capitalized upon it. For though many would die, the lesser of their horde would be captured and brought back to Roon as prizes.
Xitan turned, cutting down a fourth warrior as his Myrmidons advanced and continued to push back the enemy. Up above, he noticed movement as his EG-Droids moved towards the rear of the attack. Trandoshans followed along the ranks with hovercraft and heavy weaponry. The noose was slowly tightening and soon a great prize would be secured.

Three days of hard fighting, three long and enduring days. A stalemate, between the Dark Wookiees and the Imperial raiders, with the Trandoshan allies, was broken when Xitan deployed the EG droids and the revived IG-100 Magnaguards. These artificial soldiers were skilled in handling lightsaber wielding opponents, but were also better to expend than losing skilled warriors of the Myrmidons. A swath was cut through, forcing these Dark-sided Wookies to fall back towards their strongholds, granting Xitan and his forces a foothold. He planned for this to be a bloody, but lucrative affair before Sith forces withdrew back to Roon.
After the stalemate was broken, his troops and their Trandoshan allies systematically carved through villages, forts, and checkpoints that led to a great number of prisoners, both willing and unwilling. Xitan, especially, aimed to capture capable warriors among their ranks as great prizes for the Sith Eternal. In a matter of four days, the Acolyte captured no more than seven of these hardy Wookiees and killed three more who proved too far unwilling. All the while, his forces were pillaging, plundering, looting, and capturing in the droves. In fact, capturing the families of these warriors did force others to simply give up their lightsabers. What went from ten or twenty became over a hundred in due course. By estimations of his officers, there were probably several thousand, if not more, of these Dark side worshipping Wookiees in the Shadowlands.
Along the way, Xitan discovered cult centers where translating droids found mentions of spirits such as 'the Feral' and 'the Sorcerer-King', indicating old Sith Lords that once dominated this planet many generations ago. These Wookiees would be broken to serve the Supreme Leader and the Three Emperors one day. Eventually, on the fifth day, they mount a final assault on a great bastion of these dark siders. And Xitan hoped for a great prize of loot and prisoners from it.

The sounds of battle were fierce during the ten hours of fighting that resulted from the Sith assault upon the focus of these Dark Wookiee clans. It was an immense stronghold, built into a towering Wroshyr tree, that almost seemed like a King among the trees nearby. The Stormtroopers, Trandoshan mercenaries, war droids, and Sith warriors stormed the fortress and were forcefully encouraged to not let up the assault. Once a bridgehead was made, small armored vehicles were moved in, blasting defensive positions and burning homes out with their heavier laser cannons. By the time of the fifth hour, reserves could see where the fighting was occurring as fires raged upward to the middle area of the Wroshyr tree. Artillery blasted holes into the thick bark as Sith forces advance.
Yet, Xitan advanced further than the fighting, utilizing gunships to get behind the enemy's lines. Landing at what appeared to be a hangar bay, the Sith and his retinue cut through a number of Wookiee warriors. A great duel would occur when the Acolyte found the chamber of their leadership. Several powerful Wookiees fought against Xitan and his Myrmidons, ensuring a duel that would be a fitting end to the climatic event. In the end, the war chief was brought to his knees with a handful of his comrades dead. His blazing lightsaber at the Wookiee's throat, the masked Sith looked upon the defeated war chief.
You still have a purpose to fulfill... but not on this world. You and those who survive will ascend to a higher destiny.
His blade cut through what Xitan could only surmise as a crown, ensuring the two halves fell to the ground as smoking pieces.
You... and your kin will serve the Eternal. As our foremost warriors and battle-hardened shock troops.
The Sith concludes as he sheathes his lightsaber.
A better fate than slavery at the hands of Trandoshans.
With the ultimatum given, the fighting would cease within the hour as the Dark Wookiees threw down their weapons. The force sensitive ones were taken into Sith custody as well as the best of their warriors. Their families were taken as well. The rest, handed off to the Trandoshans as a part of their payment. Xitan then ordered the tree to be burned thoroughly so that what was before was nothing but ash. The past would be gone by tomorrow.
