Entin & Orlov Residence
Atlantis wasn't convinced at all by what Helaine was displaying right now, even Lyov's explanation, the guests and whatever Atlantis did not care one bit about them, although fine he would play along for that, and he looked at Mace although he was sure that Ayla could even fit he profile if necessary, but the two of them together, he was even more certain that whatever memories have been tampered with, it could be shattered. He did not even want to think about the fact when all of the Kiffars would meld, he had already experienced that once, it was a while ago and it was something he had not described yet to anyone but everyone and anyone who had been present there that evening would know what he was talking about. Still Atlantis for the time being, he kept looking at both Lyov and Helaine with an unfazed expression.
"Oh really...?" He asked with a sarcastic tone about being mistaken, sure facts did not really point at them precisely but there was just something that wasn't sitting right with Atlantis. "How should I put this, you have tried so much that you have only put off several openings," Remembering that invitation that Crystal had last night in her room for that benefit, he was starting to put two and two. "Everything would have worked out perfectly if it weren't for you, Miss Orlov, so thank you for allowing me to open my eyes and see clearly. Atlantis was pretty sure that he was inserting more confusion for her to play with, but really now it was crystal clear for him.
"You want to drag Andros' name or even mine through the mud, but you know what, try harder because we are used to it." Atlantis said sincerely before shaking his head, not only what they weren't aware of it was his lineage and several times he knew that it would hit him in the face but in the end he did not give a damn, he knew who he could count on, and he knew who would believe him, the others, what did he really care in the end? Sure he was put in charge to maintain some peace on this planet but when it came to Force users only.
For now he just shut his mouth and let Mace do the talking, it had been a while since he heard her talk that way, it had been a while since he even heard her align that many venomous words to someone. He agreed with her that they did a mistake that evening, or Helaine did since she had been after all the sole Zeltron there. Perhaps she might have had succeeded if it weren't for the Kiffars, Atlantis had been so focused on his girlfriend that he was at the same time so disconnected from everything around him. Hearing his datapad again, Atlantis grabbed it and read the message seeing that the CI weren't helpful at all and that he apparently had to control his brother, actually he felt no want to do so, Andros was a grown up man and he could do whatever he wanted, he was the Vice-Governor, he still had that diplomatic immunity against anything that was put up against him.
"Look at that," Atlantis said in an irksome tone as he showed off his datapad to Mace with an amused expression. "Really Lyov and Helaine, good luck to you both and may the Force not be with you, because hey all I am saying Lyov, you should really teach your apprentice better," That time he looked at Helaine and smirked dauntingly. "Because she is bound to mess up or if she gets bored with your game, Lyov, she might cross you out next like the men last night." Atlantis shrugged nonchalantly and looked at the flowers for a moment. "Nice flowers, and happy celebration." He said as he turned around to leave the kitchen, and all amusement drained from his features as they finally left the place...
Once outside, Atlantis looked skyward and took a deep breath before shaking his head as he glanced at Mace for the longest time. He knew that sooner or later, at lot of people were going to come for him or for Andros, the law or whatever, but hey he was prepared for that and even if the press was going to have a kick with his or his brother's name, it would take him more than that to stand down and as for Andros, actually he was worried for his little brother which was why when he stepped out entirely of the residence, he grabbed his datapad and sent an encrypted message to Andros to tell him something, whether he agreed or not that was up to him...

"You just are..." Delaana murmured softly when it came to the worthy part, she had a knowing smile and she even went as far as brushing teasingly Elika's nose before laughing softly and then shaking her. Elika did not have to find a word or anything at all when it came to Lana, at least not now, or ever really she could live with that but Lana did mean it when she called Elika her Shakal, it felt right, maybe it had been too forward and maybe, another maybe but Lana figured that she preferred living in the now than perpetually live in doubt, she was ready to take this beyond a flirt, or just that mutual attraction but currently she did not voice that out right now, it was too early, at least it was what she thought.
Her thoughts faded soon enough when she felt that Elika was tracing her hand with her fingertips, it caused her to close her eyes momentarily and reel into that shivery feeling that she was currently feeling, and when she opened her eyes again, she looked at Elika playfully and teasingly before taking Elika's hand again and lacing their fingers together as she listened attentively to what Elika had planned for the evening. "On a Saturday evening? Really?" Lana asked playfully before smiling warmly as she brushed the back of Elika's hand with her thumb, but she figured that she should probably let go now especially that they seemed to be missing their lunch too. So while she replied to the books she usually read, or the genre, Lana picked up her fork again and looked at Elika. "Anything from real life, to even thriller, I don't really have a specific genre but currently it's a book called Silence Once Begun." Taking a bite of her meal, she soon dabbed her lips with her napkin before coming with a thought which made her smirk and roll her eyes playfully at herself. "If I get bored by the book and that you might be working, I may interrupt you with a comm during the evening." Lana told her teasingly although there was some truths there...
Crystal's attention when Lily called for it, turned in her childhood friend's direction and she tasted the bite that Lily was telling her to taste. It was tasteful that was a fact, and very delicious and before she could even say something about that, Lily had to do it again and suggest for her to replicate that dish. Looking upwards amused, Crystal laughed softly and shook her head. "Or, you could try to do it," Crystal said teasingly, though she admitted that it was a good meal, the chef's version was really great and maybe one day she would try it out and hopefully get it right, that of course was something she would never tell Lily that she was in fact toying with the possibility to do it back home.
Looking at Franz, the poor man seemed nervous all of a sudden, and he was even wondering what to wear and what to say to Ayodele, but Lily pretty much said what Crystal thought, and she pointed in her childhood friend's direction to reiterate what she was saying. "You are overthinking it, pookie, just be you like Lily said and it'll be fine, you were after all just you when you spoke with her over by the bar, and it worked out just fine, right?" Crystal said with a warm smile before finishing up with her own meal and even leaving a little since she was full, definitely no more room for dessert at all. Now though if Franz really wanted to have a change of clothes, then maybe they could all accompany him to Clothe Encounters since it's after all nearby. Either way, that was up to him she wasn't going to push him into anything, that wasn't her forte at all anyways, it was more Lily's.

Lyov and Helaine no longer need to pretend to appear baffled by the Jedi's accusations, their disbelief entirely genuine as the content and tenor of the Jedi's conversation becomes increasingly ludicrous. For his part, striving always to be a consummate strategist aware at all times of what stands to be gained or lost with each move of a piece across the board, Lyov cannot understand what the Jedi believe they achieve by revealing their hand at this stage of the contest. Revealing their suspicion, for suspicion is all they can have in the end, the Jedi only make it clear that any future moves will need to be made with the utmost of care. The Jedi sacrifice, carelessly and needlessly in Lyov's estimation, the element of surprise that could have been their's had they moved on their suspicion less hastily. Playing their roles even when faced with open doubt, and enduring the almost childish taunts of the Jedi costs Lyov and Helaine nothing, and has also ironically all but ensured their solidarity. Neither Helaine nor Lyov can now move against the other without confirming the suspicions of the Jedi. Were he or Helaine to die now, no matter how artfully the death might be made to appear accidental, it would be far too convenient to be believed mere coincidence. There are, Lyov knows, other ways to sacrifice his apprentice if the need arises, something he may need to do should the Jedi ever come to find sufficient evidence to support their suspicions. His own role in what has transpired thus far has been confined only to directing Helaine's actions, something the Jedi may suspect but have absolutely no way of knowing for certain.
Helaine, on the other hand, is confused for the simple reason that she had expected better of their opponents. The swiftness with which the Jedi resort to what seems to her not far removed from the shrill behavior of children hurling unsophisticated insults at one another on the playground, or scattering the pieces on a game board when frustrated with how the game progresses. It is a pity, Helaine thinks as she turns herself towards Lyov as though profoundly disturbed by what has happened and her Master puts his arms around her, she must continue to play her role rather than somehow confirm for the Jedi that all they suspect is true in such a way that they could not act on that revelation. Unlike the Jedi, Helaine recognizes the benefit of concealing one's hand, and so she does as asked, continuing to play dumb, confused, and frightened.
Shaking his head as though the accusations that have been made are so far removed from the truth as to be absurd, Lyov says nothing to the Jedi as they take their leave, letting his expression alone communicate that he does not speak because what has been suggested defies all reason, which fits perfectly with the way the Jedi's own words have made it clear nothing he or Helaine might say in their defense will be heeded.

"We'll be there, Varik Monite, the Zelosian attorney Arezou and Klivian contacted to help Orainn and Strago prepare their statement, tells the holonews reporter they will be meeting with in an hour's time, then clicks him comlink off and pockets it as he tells Strago, Remember, you're just there to look pitiful and wounded. I'll do the talking. The Nikto is too volatile and inarticulate in Varik's opinion to deliver the statement, and Strago is too doped up. Taking his datapad from another pocket when it vibrates, Varik reads the message from Arezou, smiling as he reads what she had learned from the UPD. Come on, Varik tells the Nikto, let's go pick up your associate and get to the studio."
As they ride in his designer speeder to get Strago, Varik works in his head on the changes to the statement Arezou's message inspired in between watching the traffic and checking his reflection in the rear view mirror to practice the facial expressions he will be employing at different parts of his statement. He is being paid extremely well after all, and may as well give his clients a performance worth their credits.

Were it not for the Kasha crystal Atlantis had given her, and which she has been keeping in the pocket of her sweater, Elikapeka would almost certainly not be able to overcome the anxiety which typically rules her enough to allow herself to be as comfortable as she has been with Delaana; the freedom from the self-consciousness and anxiety that have so defined her life to a large degree, especially in social situations, allowing her to almost return to how she was at an earlier time in her life. As she does not know precisely why he had given her the crystal, or what its effects on her have been, Elika does not know how grateful she should be for the gift he has given her; the reprieve from her anxiety and self-consciousness may be a temporary one, but the comfort level she has found with Delaana is genuine, and will therefore persist even after the crystal has been returned to its rightful owner. Only dimly aware of these things for now, and able to prevent them from disturbing her presently elated state, Elika returns Delaana's smile, giggling when her nose is brushed while Delaana whispers that she just is to explain why she had given Elika her nickname. "Ok, Elika says in a distracted voice accompanied by a pleased, coquettish smile, her eyes briefly moving from Delaana's eyes to her lips before returning once more to her eyes. Watching their interlaced fingers, Elika nods with a self-deprecating smile when Delaana asks if she is seriously considering working on a Saturday, sighing with a shrug of her shoulders as she confirms, Really. I like my work though, she explains while crinkling her nose with a smile, so it isn't quite as depressing as it sounds. Playfully pouting when Delaana removes her hand, Elika sits up herself and spears a dru'un slice with her fork as she listens to Delaana describe the kinds of books she likes to read, smiling since it sounds as though they have similar tastes in reading. Her smile widening when Delaana says that she might comm later in the evening, Elika says, I'd like that. Furrowing her brow with a frown as she realizes that her statement could apply to any part of what Delaana had said, Elika explains, Not the you being bored part, the interrupting one. Holding up a hand, not sure that what she just said sounds quite right either, Elika tries again, Not that you'd be interrupting, I . . . taking a deep breath and then laughing at herself since she feels confident Delaana knows what she meant, Elika settles for saying, What I mean is, I'd like to be interrupted if it's you doing the interrupting. In fact, feel free to interrupt me anytime, Elika invites her with a playful smile, really."
Tuning back in to the conversation going on outside of the private little world she and Delaana have found, Elika manages to get the basic thrust of the current topic, and smiles a bit guiltily for having been so absorbed in Delaana thus far as she nods towards Crystal to agree with what she had said, telling Franz, "She's right pookie. Just be yourself. Well aware of the irony of it being her saying it, Elika smiles as she pats his forearm and tells him, Don't be all self-conscious and get yourself all nervous. Just be you."

Trying not to laugh at Nuala's outburst, Nazani tells her, "Damn girl, have the cigarette already. Looking over at Nemes with an expression that suggests she blames him for the paranoia Nuala is feeling, the curvy Lorrdian says, Let's all just take a minute here and chill. Think this through logically before we get our knickers in a twist. We all saw the perp last night when . . ."
Nemes winces as though bracing for impact as he points out, "Did we? Or did we see what Vyridian or Vos wanted us to see? They have been saying all along how easy it is to mess with non-Forcie minds, right? What if they've been messing with ours to protect the Vee Gee? You ever think about that?"
Nazani's frown conveys that the thought hadn't crossed her mind until now, and she is quiet for a moment before holding her hands up and waving them as though clearing the air in front of her as she says, "Nope. Not buying it. These are Jedi we're talking about here . . ."
Nemes takes a step back as he points out, "Um, technically they are a sect, or maybe a splinter group. They aren't a part of the . . ."
Nazani glares at the Rodian as she says, "Political B.S. aside, they are Jedi, and that means they follow a Code. . . "
Nemes holds his hands up as he says, "Not the same Code as the Jedi Order necessarily. They obviously have a different stance on Dark siders, right? I mean they're allowed . . ."
"That's a governmental position, Nazani says irritably, not persuaded by her partner's doubts, not . . ."
"Right, the government. Where the Vee Gee works. Nemes puts his hands on top of his head, looking over at Nuala and asking, Can I have a cigarette too?"
"Look, Nazani says, regaining her composure, we've said all along that whoever is behind this was obviously trying to sow a bunch of confusion by impersonating Vyridian, right? So why let it work? We have the biometric records showing Vyridian was in the building, and we don't know if he has the whatever it was called. I think it's a waste of time, but let's start there. I don't see his brother lying for him. There's no reason to think he would, and . . ."
"Ok, Ok, Nemes relents, We'll ask him. But I still think we should try and verify it from another source too. Just to cover our bases. Sighing, unable to think of how they could go about verifying the information, Nemes says, If we even can. It's not like there's a registry for what Force powers they all have, is there?"

Franz was scratching his head and he had no idea how he even managed to get some details from Ayodele to just hangout with her to begin with. He really did not know and he wondered how or why. One thing was certain she was definitely the kind of person that was very much a hold of her person and also she was the kind of person that was holding his gaze for a long time no matter what. He actually liked that, to the point that perhaps he would have been the one to look away if she had not. There was just something about her, he didn't know really but it felt nice whatever those might have been.
Now he was overthinking it, that was a fact and even getting suggestions from everyone right now, really it was disconcerting in plenty of ways. Just be himself, right he was himself when he approached her to begin with, with all of his flaws, even his nervousness. Really he had been ready to be shot down on the spot. Franz took a deep breath and looked at his clothes, which were really Atlantis' clothes since the man did give these to him that very morning. Plain shirt and just equally plain loose pants.
"I guess so, but it's just that I don't want her to see that I am up to no good with her because I am not, and I just want to know her I suppose, I am not even asking for much." Franz said thoughtfully before taking a deep breath and he figured that he should probably keep on eating his food to keep his mind occupied for the time being...
Although earlier from the corner of his eyes, he did notice that Elika really did seem comfortable with Lana, allowing the latter to even touch the former, considering that Franz knew how Elika was often with people she barely knew and now Franz guessed that not only Elika seemed very comfortable with the PA, but really it did look genuine, although he was wondering if Elika had on her person the crystal that Atlantis had given her to hold or was it in her bag?
In any case it was great to see Elika just plain happy right there, Franz finished up his meal and put his fork and knife down on the plate before sipping his water. Maybe he had received a message and he should probably check his datapad. Grabbing his device, he saw that he had a message from Mace which was the same for the others in that said message and he kept an expressionless face while reading that message before closing his eyes briefly, clearly nothing he did not feel Atlantis nor Mace and besides if Atlantis' signature was to be felt, he figured that Crystal would be the first to notice. Pocketing his datapad again, Franz had read the content of the message of course and the reasons why they were there, but he somehow found the situation confusing to begin with and he really had a bad feeling about all of this.

It really does sound to me that pookie seems to have been burned multiple times in the past. From what I have understood from baby girl, something had already begun with that chick but she had to leave ... I do admire the man though for pushing through and trying to maybe find a connection. "Pookie, let's lay out facts here," I start to say with a warm smile but before I keep on speaking, I dab my lips with my napkin and put that by my plate. "If you were the type of guy that was up to no good, you wouldn't be here with us presently." I say what's what, and I do mean it. I am not the kind of person to be sitting down with someone that makes me uneasy, with someone that I do not appreciate and especially with someone that I clearly do not regard as a person worthy of my time.
"Baby girl knows this, and she can attest to that, even gorgeous maybe," Smiling and looking at both of the women and more particularly CKayne because this is just one thing she knows best and maybe gorgeous does too, at least to some degree. "I do not sit down with people that are up to no good and I especially do not waste spending my time with those type of people, call me judgmental if you want, and I do not care, I can be cynical, that much I admit. But fact is, if you weren't someone that I appreciate, not because you are Ryan's cousin or because you are a Jedi, those have little importance to me, I wouldn't be sitting here at this table with you, and I certainly wouldn't continuously traumatize you, because fact is, I don't speak this way to people I barely know or just do not like." I am also a lawyer when people think about it, and yes I may be delivering that statement very bluntly but there are only a few here that I would be happy to spend my time with all day long, and I wouldn't even be bored because I always have fun with them.
Maybe shocking to most or some but whatever I don't give a damn at all, I am not here to play nice with everyone even though I am presently the current Attorney General of the planet. "Really just go out there, be yourself and she won't see you as someone who is up to no good, she'll might see you as someone who has confidence issues, who isn't sure how that is supposed to work but you know what, if there is something that I have seen up there when you were at the bar speaking with her, she liked your approach, so just keep doing what you do best, and that is only by being you, and you only." Picking up my glass of wine and finishing the content of my glass, I look at him with a warm encouraging smile before blinking once. "Also, she was your masseuse, and I am pretty sure that you acted just right with her when you were on the table, so really please Pookie, just stop doubting yourself, because it's always by overthinking things that you might spoil the situation ..."

Delaana already knew how her boss could be when it came to work, Crystal was also a little workaholic just like Ljiljana when she thought about it, how many evenings and even nights she had witnessed the two of them spend several overtime in the government building with the Vice-Governor. Often times it wasn't because he had requested it, it was more due to the fact that they all had that want to work onto several bills that the Vice-Governor had issued, from the universal healthcare, to the funding of the orphanage and even Andros' most favored project, the one that concerned the farmers and their land. With Elikapeka saying that she loved her work and that it wasn't so bad if she were to spend her Saturday evening on work, Lana understood that. In a way she also understood why the three women got along so well together, sure they did diverge in personalities but at the same time, Lana could see that they all got along and made it work somehow, and in case of Andros he was the guarded type of course but somehow he still cared. Lana looked at Elika with a knowing smile and inclined her head understanding fully what she meant. "I do believe you, and I am sure that you are having fun with it," Tilting her head on the side slightly and dubiously, Lana could not help but to ask. "Will you show me one evening, or tomorrow, some of your work that is?" She truly was interested, she did hear that the Mist Order Academy had been created by Elika but Lana had never set her feet there, so she really couldn't tell.
Smiling wider when Elika pretty much allowed Lana to interrupt her anytime, Lana inclined her head and looked into Elika's eyes teasingly. "Be careful what you wish for..." She teasingly said before winking playfully and giggling softly. She really was having a great time right now, and presently she was talking about everything and anything in particular with Elika, which really was making her look forward to getting to know her even more. Smiling at the thought, Lana finished her meal while listening to that ongoing serious conversation and for that, since she didn't really know the man that much, she couldn't quite comment, and also it wasn't her place at all but from what Crystal, Elika and Lily were saying, since they knew him best, she guessed that Franz was nervous and hadn't done that in a while...
Crystal was leaning against her seat's backrest while looking at Franz with a warm and supportive expression. In a way she understood him definitely, she felt that way in a sense when she first met Atlantis, the questions on what to ask the man, in a way all of them went through that. Before Crystal could even add any more thoughts about his potentially unfounded stress, Lily had taken the floor, and for that actually Crystal was grateful. Lily just had a way to lay out hard facts and also she was saying what she thought without filter at all. "What Lily said, trust me when I say that the Lily you are used to isn't the same Lily when talking to random people, she is more like the one at work." Crystal confirmed with a knowing smile. It was just how Lily was, her childhood friend remained polite that was true but she often aligned lesser words with others than she would usually do with the people around the table. "She likes you, she traumatizes you, she doesn't like, she'll barely speak with you and give you her attention." Crystal chuckled at the thought before looking upwards knowingly with a playful smile. All in all, in a way for Crystal, Lily had never needed to be attuned to the Force to get a feeling about people, and most of the time the lawyer was right when she thought about it...
Considering that matter settled for the time being, at least until Franz brought up again his insecurities, Crystal looked at Elika and Lana with a warm smile. "Lana, I don't suppose you'd want to spend the rest of the afternoon with us, or even come to our place to visit?" Crystal asked softly, it was a sincere offer considering that she had overheard Elika wanting and needing to do some work that very evening, but really they should really spend some time together or something. "Elika also does a wicked hot cocoa, if you are interested?"
Lana looked at her boss and blinked a few times before pursing her lips, of course she was interested, that was a no brainer at all, but she did not want to seem to be the pushy type especially that she was already invited tomorrow for that barbecue. Tucking some of her hair behind her ear, Lana glanced momentarily at Elika before glancing downwards at the table, obviously now it was no secret but she couldn't come to say yes without sounding too excited about that at all. "If no one minds, but really I do not want to impose than I have already done this much today..."

Flying in as dignified a fashion as one of his size is able to fly when weighted down with a large serving tray upon which rest two carafes of iced water, an empty glass, and two glasses of white wine, Lochan makes his way back to the table where his customers are waiting for their beverages. Flying around the table to set one of the carafes in front of Franz, and then the glasses of wine in front of Lily and then Crystal, Lochan sets the empty glass and the final carafe on the tray down in front of Delaana, leaning over to pour some iced water from the carafe into the glass as, having overheard the last part of the conversation, he discreetly tells the lovely Hapan with a knowing smile and a glance towards Elikapeka, "No one minds in the least pet, I can assure you of that, and then straightens himself in the air, strokes his mustache, and asks, How is everything? Can I get any one dessert? Caf? An aperitif?" After collecting the empty dishes of those who have finished their meals, and has taken any additional orders his customers might have, Lochan bows in mid-air, and then turns to zip off to get anything that may have been ordered.

Unable to fathom being able to come up with anything more true or persuasive than what Lily has said, Elikapeka smiles as she leans over and tells Franz, "You should listen to her pookie, she speaks the truth. Besides, Elika teasingly adds with a grin accompanied by a shrug of her shoulders, we all know that if you don't listen and believe now, she'll only keep going until you do."
Setting her utensils on her plate when she sees Lochan approaching, Elika moves her plate to the side so it will be easier for him to get to, and then rests her chin on top of her clasped hands as she looks over at Delaana, who is asking if she can see some of Elika's work some time. Smiling happily at the idea of sharing her design work and maybe even her paintings or sketches with Delaana, Elika nods as she says, "Absolutely, any time you want to. Leaning closer to Delaana as, after Delaana tells her to be careful what she wishes for, Elika teases back in a whisper with a kittenish smile and a suggestively arched eyebrow, But sometimes being too careful means you could miss out on something really great."
Waiting to see if anyone else will be ordering dessert or caf before deciding whether she will be having anything else, Elika cannot help but smile, clearly finding the idea of spending more time with Delaana attractive, when Crystal suggests that her PA spends the rest of the afternoon with them, or possibly even comes over to their home. Nodding when Crystal concludes by revealing Elika's expertise when it comes to cocoa, Elika looks over in to Delaana's eyes as she rests her hand on top of Delaana's while telling her with a laugh, "Please, you're not imposing at all. You should come, Elika continues, looking down as she traces Delaana's fingers lightly with the tips of her own, looking back up through her lashes as she says, I'll make you cocoa and show you some of my work. Patting Delaana's hand and returning her own to beneath her chin, Elika crinkles her nose with a theatrically nonchalant shrug as she says, Only, you know, if you think that would be fun."

Franz clearly still had a lot to learn about Lily here, and what she was saying it somewhat intimidated him but also awed him... She spoke her mind and always got to the point when it came to a serious conversation. Franz could not help but smile at what she was saying because at the same time, he appreciated her words right there but he was also grateful. He just couldn't quite put it into words right now because he just was dumbfounded somehow and he blinked once as if to tell her that he got it loud and clear. Even before Crystal explained or even before Elika nudged him to actually just listen.
"Thank you." Franz said gratefully before smiling knowingly, he really was fortunate to have friends like them, and he also hoped that his cousins knew how fortunate to be for being with women like them to begin with but he was sure that Ryan and Atlantis already knew that. Then there was Elika, even through his mess up this morning and despite his stupid, it clearly was something that they both got over and relatively quickly but also with the help of Atlantis somehow. He should definitely thank his cousin about that.
When Lochan came back with their extra order for drinks, Franz having finished with his meal, he put his fork and knife on the plate and put that on the side to help the Toydarian out so that it would be easier for him to clear the plate. "I'll have a stim-caf, please." Franz said with a warm smile, considering that he was too full for dessert and that he couldn't even think about eating more after the delicious Fambaa Delight.
Franz soon smiled when Crystal invited Lana to spend the rest of the afternoon with the women and even invite her to their place. Franz nodded to concur with Crystal's statement about Elika's hot cocoa. "Ask her to add some marshmallows too, with or without it still tastes delicious but if you are wanting some extra sweet, marshmallows are a must." Franz said with an amused expression as he looked at Elika with a sheepish smile. Deciding not to comment further especially about the work and such considering that he still knew that Elika still shied away from compliments so to speak even if they were genuine, he did not want to draw that much attention on her.

I consider that this case is closed and that we can all move on especially after I have been backed up by baby girl and gorgeous. Looking upwards playfully when gorgeous threatens pookie that I could keep on talking and talking and talking to convince him, I nod knowingly to say that gorgeous does have a point, but at the same time, I know that it is somewhat a teasing jab there, so I do look at gorgeous with narrowed eyes and soon poke my tongue out in her direction playfully. "You don't even know the last of it." I giggle at the thought and wink at gorgeous before adding on. "You have to admit though, it works like a charm." Wiggling my eyebrows teasingly before looking at the Hapan bombshell with a knowing smile, I look back at gorgeous with that plastered smile on my expression.
Noticing that our sassy waiter is back with my wine, which is a good thing since I am done with my meal, I let him clear off my empty plate and look at him gratefully and even with a warm smile. "So far so good." Winking at Lochan playfully before thinking about what I would want to order, I am no longer hungry, so there is no way that I am going to get a dessert, Coffee, definitely coffee. "Vine-coffee for me, precious, thank you."
Looking at both gorgeous and the bombshell after baby girl has offered her PA to spend her afternoon with us and maybe even the evening, I still find the two newly formed couple adorbs, seriously. Although seriously they should start thinking about maybe kissing one another, c'mon they are killing me both especially with both of them glancing from time to time at each other's lips. Not really inclined to embarrass anyone right now or even say anything that may cause them both to blush that much, I just pick my wine up and take a sip of my drink. "Just stay with us, come this evening, it'll be fun." At least I am sure that it'll be great for gorgeous and the bombshell right? But not wanting to risk to blurt something out, since I am good at that, everyone knows that, I stand up from my seat and glance at baby girl with a nonchalant shrug. "I'll be right back."
While I am walking away, since I am standing behind the bombshell, I look at gorgeous with a playful and mischievous expression as I pucker my lips while glancing at the bombshell knowingly and proceed to make that kissy faces silently as I look back at gorgeous, that done I make my way to the ladies' room with an amused grin on my features...

Delaana giggled softly when she heard Lochan discreetly tell her that no one actually minded if she were to spend the rest of the day with the women or even the evening. Looking at the waiter with a thankful smile not only for the water he poured into her glass but also for the kind words and great service he has been providing. Thinking about her next order, she actually did not quite get to that art considering that she heard Elika's teasing reply to her statement, it caused her to look straight at Elika while she nibbled the corner of her lower lip before taking a deep breath to just get a hold of herself currently. "Caf for me, please," Lana said in a more collected voice this time but that again faded, at least her composure did when Elika started to trace Lana's fingers with her fingertips. How could she really refuse that? Even Franz said to add some marshmallows if she wanted that extra sweet. "I do believe that I have the extra sweet covered..." Lana said with a knowing smile before looking back at Elika teasingly. "I'd love to." Lana said before looking at Crystal with a warm grateful smile considering that the invitation did first come from her. "Thank you." Knowing that she should cool down at least a notch or two, Lana picked up her glass of water and took a sip of it, clearly very unaware of what Lily was doing behind her after she had said that she would be right back.
"Well good, that is settled." Crystal said as Lana accepted to spend her afternoon and even the evening with them. Anything to help out subtly, Crystal guessed, of course she wasn't that direct like Lily would be but clearly if Lily had said something about that right now, it wouldn't have the same effect, Crystal guessed. She had requested the same thing as Lily from Lochan and watched her childhood friend excuse herself before making that kissing faces straight at Elika. Really, at that point Crystal had to purse her lips to stop herself from laughing because not only she found the situation amusing but at the same time she really did not want to make things more awkward in a way for Elika and she also did not want to push anyone into doing something presently. She guessed that it would come whenever it would come anyways...
"So tell me Pookie," Figuring that she'd avoid laughing if she stopped thinking about it for now and focus onto something else for the time being, Crystal looked at Franz dubiously but also genuinely, she wasn't forcing his hand at all and he wasn't obligated to listen, that was his choice and his choice only. "Will you be wanting a change of clothes or you got it all under control?" All in all, Franz was still dressed casually and just regularly even if those were Atlantis' clothes, which she did not care to be honest, but if in a sense he wasn't even comfortable in what he was wearing presently then why not accompany him. Again his choice and she showed that by a warm smile. Then she soon realized something and it had nothing to do with Franz at all, but more of what might happen this evening, which was why she looked at Elika with a narrowed eyes.
"Sweetie, I don't supposed that I will have to do the cooking this evening, right?" Crystal asked teasingly before giggling softly. "There is usually dinner before hot cocoa, right, unless we are inverting the whole thing this evening?" Crystal just said that subtly she guessed, it would mean that Lana would in fact spend the evening with them and even have dinner with them, and she actually did not mind one bit if the task of cooking befell on her which usually did anyways if take outs weren't ordered in.

Her eyes briefly dropping from Delaana's eyes to her lips when Elikapeka sees that Delaana has begun to nibble her lower lip in an adorably beguiling, and for Elika at least, also distracting way, Elika smiles when Delaana accepts the invitation everyone at the table had extended to her, the smile not without a somewhat playfully mischievous quality inspired by Delaana's statement that she would already seem to have the extra sweetness Franz had mentioned covered. Without taking her eyes from Delaana's, Elika tells Lochan, "I'll have a vine-coffee also, the left corner of her lips tilting upwards slightly when she catches Lily's antics behind Delaana's back. Deciding to ignore Lily to avoid calling Delaana's attention to her friend's pantomime show, Elika rests her chin on her right hand, her thumb keeping her sleeve in place as, momentarily unable to think of anything eloquent or charming to say, she settles for telling Delaana simply and truly, I'm glad you decided to join us, with a happy smile and a look in her eyes that suggests that she would not mind at all if they found themselves alone at some point during the evening. Reaching out with her left hand to clasp Delaana's forearm gently, Elika rests it there as, letting her eyes hold Delaana's for a moment, she reluctantly looks away so she can tell Franz, I'm obviously no expert on the subject, but for what it's worth I think you should try not to worry too much about what you wear pookie. Just be you, remember? If you're comfortable with what you have on now, just stick with it."
Trailing her fingertips slowly down Delaana's forearm and over her hand as she looks over to answer Crystal, Elika, not immediately catching on to what her friend is suggesting since she is too distracted by trying to distract Delaana, says, "Oh, um, I can make cocoa any time really hon', there's no rule . . . trailing off with an amused grin when she finally does cop on, Elika nods and says, Oh, yes, silly me, cocoa before dinner is just crazy. No inversion allowed, right? So, um, we could always order in again if you aren't in the mood to cook maybe? Or, if you're feeling adventurous, Lily and I could try and whip something together?"

Franz covered his mouth with his napkin because he had that knowing smile as he was looking at both Elika and Lana. They were so distracted by one another that he found the whole thing so cute and endearing. His amusement did not fade especially when he clearly saw Lily's mimics as she left to head to the restroom. Taking a deep breath in order to control his amusement, Franz was finally able to get a hold of himself and just dabbed his lips once more with his napkin before returning it on the table.
Picking up his glass of water, Franz took a sip of his drink and closed his eyes briefly so that he could think about this evening, actually at exactly five thirty really. And where exactly was the Hallowed Grounds? By the Force he did not precisely know where that was! His eyes widening, Franz grabbed his datapad to do a holonet search for that place address and to localize it quickly. Being taken that much to his search, Franz looked up in Crystal's direction when she asked something but thankfully Elika, albeit distracted, pretty much made him connect back to what Crystal had just said.
"Ummm..." Franz looked down at what he was wearing, sure it was something he would usually wear too but these clothes weren't his so to speak, it was Model Face's and it just felt wrong in a way. "I am fine with what I am wearing, but..." Franz took a deep breath and looked at Crystal with a sheepish smile. "These are Model Face's clothes, so I may go purchase something later once we are done here." There was no way he was going to get back to the Academy to get some of his clothes, it would take longer if he did, so the best choice was to actually buy something at that place Lily had suggested earlier.
Franz returned to his search and he pursed his lips because he wasn't finding it just yet, or he wasn't looking at the right place, but considering that he was currently with coffee addicts, maybe they would know, which was why Franz looked at the women dubiously and asked. "Uh, do you know where the Hallowed Grounds is?" Franz looked back at his datapad and continued to search really, but really if because he did not know where that place was, it would be really bad for him.

Holonet broadcasts on Umgul are interrupted by the UNN Breaking News Logo, which slowly fades away to the face of Ortolan news anchor Daan Rat’her seated behind a desk with a solemn expression.
“Good evening. Umgul News Network has a special guest with us this evening, attorney Varik Monite, representing two witnesses of the murder late yesterday evening of businessman Tok’la Sike who have some startling and disturbing news concerning the perpetrator of the crimes. With Mr. Monite now is UNN’s own Ja’an Blitzer.”
The image changes to a blonde haired human woman, Ja’an Blitzer, seated across from Varik Monite. “Thank you Daan, Ja’an says, the camera switching to a close up view of her stern expression as she continues, Now, Mr. Monite, your clients claim to have seen the perpetrator of the killings, and state that while they shared that information with the UPD detectives investigating the crimes, no action has been taken by the UPD, correct?”
Varik, a dark haired humanoid male in a fashionable suit, nods with a frown as he says, “That is unfortunately true, Ja’an. My clients, both employees of a private security firm, were horrifically wounded and left for dead while defending Mr. Sike, a client of the security firm. My clients both saw the murderer clearly, and included the name of the killer in their statements when cooperating with the UPD. Despite the fact the UPD has the name of the murderer, they have done nothing.”
Ja’an, looking disturbed and confused, asks, “Can you share the name of the alleged killer Mr. Monite?”
Nodding solemnly, Varik says, “Yes Ja’an, that is why I am here on my client’s behalf tonight, to shine a light on the lamentable miscarriage of justice the UPD is attempting to bury beneath a cheaply constructed façade of lies. The perpetrator of the killings was none other than Umgul’s Vice Governor, Andros Vyridian. Holding up a hand as though expecting Ja’an to stop him with questions, Varik says, Sources within the UPD have revealed that they will try and cover up the Vice Governor’s role in the killings by laying the blame on an unidentified suspect that they will claim was located through the efforts of a team of UPD detectives, Jedi from the Mist Order, both working with the Sector Rangers. The UPD will claim that they have records showing the Vice Governor could not be responsible for the crimes because he was known to be elsewhere. The UPD will also claim that the Jedi were able to locate the other suspect by using the Force. What the UPD does not want the public to know, however, is that the Vice Governor could have used the Force to commit the murders from another location, using either a well-known power called Force doppleganger, or the equally well known ability known as Force Phantom . The UPD will not want it to be known that the Jedi helping the UPD investigators is none other than Atlantis Vyridian, the twin brother of the Vice Governor. The UPD will not want the public to know that, even setting aside the absurdity of allowing someone so obviously biased to investigate the crime, the power supposedly used to identify the existence of another suspect by using the Force to supposedly read the past in the mist is one that is not on record as even existing. No other Force user has the ability described as being used, not one Ja’an. Convenient isn’t it, that the twin brother of the Vice Governor is the only being known to have a power like the one he claims to have used to help clear his brother’s name? Convenient, or a clumsy attempt to build a web of lies to protect the true murderer? My clients want, no they deserve the chance to prevent this attempted cover up from pulling the wool over the eyes of Umgul’s citizens. That is why I am here on their behalf to tell the UPD and the Vice Governor publically that if the UPD does not issue a warrant for the arrest of Vice Governor Vyridian by tomorrow afternoon, we will be filing a civil suit for the wrongful deaths of Tok’la Sike, and the six brave beings that died trying to defend his life from the Vice Governor. Looking into the camera, Varik adopts a righteous expression as he says with conviction, The government, law enforcement, and the Jedi must not be allowed to sweep this horrific crime under the rug. Corruption must be rooted out, the guilty must be punished, and justice must be served.”
The camera switches to a view of Ja’an, her face stern and disturbed as she says, “Disturbing news indeed, Daan. Will Umgul’s Vice Governor or the UPD respond to these startling allegations?”
The view changes back to Daan, who frowns as he says, “We will just have to wait and see Ja’an. Looking into the camera, the Ortolan tells UNN’s viewers, Stay tuned for more on this breaking story, and remember, you heard it first here on UNN news.”

Returning with a tray bearing the beverages ordered by Franz and his bevy of beauties, Lochan flys around the table to set the different coffees in front of everyone. "Stim-caf, the blue-skinned Toydarian announces as he places a stim-caf in front of Franz, fluttering his wings to Lily's seat to set her vine-coffee in front of her seat for when she returns. Vine-coffee for the missing miss, Lochan says while turning in mid-air to place another vine-coffee in front of Elika as he says, and another for you, miss. Setting the second-to-last vine-coffee in front of Crystal, Lochan says, A vine-coffee for you, miss, and, he smiles while placing the last vine-coffee in front of Delaana, who had not ordered anything since she had seemed so distracted by the bespectacled miss beside her, I took the liberty of getting one for you as well, miss. Cream and sugar, the Toydarian says while placing a sugar bowl with tongs and a jug of cream on the table, and then sets a spoon beside everyone's saucer as he asks, Will there be anything else? Once he has any additional requests or has been told there are no other requests, Lochan adjusts his monocle and says, Enjoy!" before flying off once more, pausing briefly to look over the shoulder of a customer that gasps while listening to something on her datapad. The Toydarian catches only the last bit of the newscast, frowning as he flys away wondering what sort of allegations have been made concerning the Vice Governor and the UPD.

Clearly at this point Lana was distracted, so distracted that the conversation around the table was going way over her head. The inviting gaze and the smile from Elika wasn't helping at all, and she seemed to have lost her ability to align words or even stay those when Elika began to trace her forearm and even her hands with her fingertips. Mischievously looking at Elika as if to tell her that she was a tease, Lana knew that if that did not stop right now, she might lose control, so she just took Elika's hand and laced their fingers before leaning over to whisper. "You are such a tease..." It was in a teasing tone before she took her napkin only because she needed to clench something right now to remain put.
Thankfully she managed to get a little break in order to follow the ongoing conversation around the table, something about the hot cocoa not being served before dinner, Lana looked from Elika to Crystal with an amused smile before shrugging nonchalantly and finally she let go of her napkin as she began to brush with her thumb the back of Elika's hand. "I can help, if you'd wish?" Lana offered when it came to cooking, she managed fine in a kitchen anyways, after having lived on her own and being independent, she definitely had to learn how to cook and so she did.
Crystal's eyes widened slightly when Elika started to say that she could do the cocoa whenever, which was a fact but thankful the architect understood, which made Crystal smile knowingly. "Before dinner, very much so, we wouldn't be able to eat after that anyways, right?" Crystal said seriously, although there was humor in her gaze, that was a fact. But came really the question on who was going to cook, Crystal pursed her lips briefly as she listened to Elika's suggestion and pretended to put on a pensive face before hearing what Delaana had just said. "Just check with Elika and Lily, Lana, I have decided that I am not cooking tonight at all." Crystal said with a playful expression and already she was hearing Lily's voice and tone in her mind, something about getting them to starve to death.
Right now though, considering that the dinner matter was settled for her case, Crystal looked at Franz when he clearly said that he was going to buy some clothes, a pity that Lily was missing this, she would have jumped onto the occasion, that much Crystal knew. "Your choice, pookie, if you need advice for that, I am sure that Lily could help you out on that area." Winking at him playfully before thinking of that precise location of where the Hallowed Grounds was, actually it wasn't that far from here when she thought about it. "Relatively near," Crystal said thoughtfully before closing one eye to really think in order for him to pinpoint the location. But Crystal only went there once and it seemed like a while ago, maybe her memory was hazy, which was why she looked at both Elika and Lana dubiously with an arched eyebrow as if to ask them if they knew. In any case, Crystal suggested. "I am sure that you could ask for directions, and maybe our Toydarian waiter knows?" Noticing that Lochan was coming back with their coffee order, she looked at him and thanked him with a warm smile but before even asking for the potential direction of the Hallowed Grounds she overheard her datapad pinging, since she had set an alert whenever her boyfriend's name was mentioned over the news.
Picking her datapad from her bag, Crystal looked at the information and her eyes widened in shock at those allegations. "Where is Lily?!" Crystal asked very seriously before staring back in shock at the plastered information about not only Atlantis but also Andros.
Lana had thanked the waiter for the vine-coffee and she had looked at him gratefully before glancing at her boss, and considering that she knew that look, Lana wondered what was wrong now, and it couldn't have been good considering that the first person she was asking for was Lily as the AG, she guessed. Looking at Elika with a worried expression, considering that the architect was closer to Crystal, maybe she would be able to know.

Smiling as she pats Franz's arm when he says that he will probably want to look into buying something to wear for his coffee date given that he is wearing Atlantis' clothes, Elikapeka tells him, "Whatever makes you comfortable pookie, nodding when Crystal points out that Lily would be more than happy to help him with the shopping and then telling Franz, The Hallowed Grounds is actually not far from here at all. You remember where Clothes Encounters is, right? Well, you just go to the west end of that block, make a right, and then go two blocks. The Hallowed Grounds will be there, on the right side of the street, you can't miss it."
Elika bats her eyelashes, smiling as innocently as she is able to smile, when Delaana takes hold of her hand and whispers a playful accusation, and then leans in to whisper next to Delaana's ear, "Well, let me promise you I'm not just teasing you, and then sits up with a mischievously playful smile that lasts until she realizes that what she said might be taken to mean something far more suggestive than what she meant to say, blushes, and quickly leans in to explain in a whisper, By that I mean that I'm not just pretending to be interested to try to make you think I am only to frustrate you, because I am interested. I, um, just don't want you to think that I meant that I'm trying to arou. . . Laughing at herself when she realizes that she has just successfully explained the perfectly obvious, and that Delaana probably knew what she meant even without the unnecessary clarification, Elika bumps her forehead with her free hand and tells herself, Think before you talk, and then takes a deep breath, resting her free hand beneath her chin while continuing to hold Delaana's hand in the other, and moves on by nodding her head with a smile when Delaana says that she could help out with the cooking, telling her, That sounds like it could be fun. I wish it," she says, leaning forward to bump her nose against Delaana's nose.
Thanking Lochan for the vine-coffee, Elika, releasing Delaana's hand with a playful pout since she needs her hand to add cream and sugar to her coffee, adds a few sugar cubes and a generous dollop of cream to her coffee after gesturing towards the sugar bowl and creamer to silently ask if Delaana wants either added to her coffee, and then adding whatever Delaana indicates she wants added to her coffee. Glancing over towards Crystal when she hears her friend's datapad pinging, Elika is stirring her coffee when Crystal, looking as though whatever she has read has come as a shock to her, asks where Lily is. Her brow furrowing in concern, Elika tells Crystal, "She went to the powder room hon'. Is everything alright? Has something happened?"
On holonetworks throughout Umgul, regularly scheduled shows are interrupted by the dynamic music and logo of Foxx News. As the familiar theme music begins to fade, holonews personality Kon’ee Chang appears, the female Rodian's expression and tone serious as she says, “Good evening Umgul. A picture of Andros Vyridian appears on the screen to the left of Kon'ee as she continues, Earlier tonight Umgul learned of the possible involvement of the Vice Governor, Andros Vyridian, in several murders occurring last evening. Joining us now via holocam is Umgul City’s UPD Commissioner, Niyol, with an official statement responding to the claims of local attorney Varik Monite, who represents two witnesses of the crimes in question. Thank you for joining us tonight Commissioner."
Thank you, Kon’ee, Niyol, a tall male Kel Dor wearing the full dress uniform of the UPD says as he sits ramrod straight in a chair. His voice sounding synthetic due to his antiox mask, but calm, confident, and collected all the same, Niyol says, As you said, I am here tonight to respond to the allegations levied by Mr. Monite earlier today, allegations which I will show are sorely mistaken. Mr. Monite, perhaps due to zeal or mere carelessness, has left a great many things out of his statement which I believe will paint a more accurate picture not only of the investigation into the murder of Tok’la Sike, but also of the role, if indeed any, played by Umgul’s Vice Governor.
Let me begin by addressing Mr. Monite’s claim that the UPD is willfully participating in a cover up attempt. While Mr. Monite’s statements make it clear that he does indeed have sources within the UPD, he has clearly misunderstood or misrepresented the details he has been made aware of by those sources. It is true that the UPD, working in conjunction with both members of the Mist Order and with the Sector Rangers, has identified a suspect in the murders. It is true that Mr. Monite’s clients named Andros Vyridian as the individual responsible for the killings. It is also true that, in the early stages of the investigation, the Vice Governor was cleared of suspicion when biometric records revealed that he was in his office at the time of the murders. What is untrue, is that these facts add up to a conspiracy to protect the Vice Governor. As Mr. Monite says in his own statement, it is only possible that the Vice Governor could have used his Force abilities to commit the crimes from afar while he himself was elsewhere. Possible, not proven. The UPD has no knowledge of the Vice Governor possessing either of the abilities Mr. Monite claims he could have used to commit these crimes, and therefore has no reason to suspect he is any more likely a suspect than any other Force user theoretically capable of utilizing such abilities. That something is merely possible to have occurred is not sufficient proof that it accurately represents the actual events.
Again, from Mr. Monite’s own statement, the UPD, Sector Rangers, and the Jedi were able to identify a suspect, definitely not the Vice Governor, in part by using the Force talents of Grandmaster Vyridian. What Mr. Monite is unaware of, or intentionally left out of his statement, is that those abilities, rare and unknown as they might be, were not the only means used in identifying the suspect. UPD forensic analysis, and findings in the city coroner’s report, were also used in identifying the presence of the suspect, and in beginning to assemble a suspect profile. I wish to be very clear when I say that none of the details of that profile suggest in any way that the Vice Governor was responsible for these crimes. I also want to point out that Mr. Monite’s suggestion that Grandmaster Vyridian would willingly fabricate an account of what he was able to learn from using his Force abilities is simply not supported by the facts. The Grandmaster’s findings, in fact, were supported by additional hard evidence in the form of video footage recovered in the course of the investigation. Evidence that confirms beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Grandmaster does indeed possesses the ability he describes.
Let me now address the claims of the witnesses Mr. Monite represents. I believe that they think they saw the Vice Governor. I also believe, and the evidence supports my belief and that of the investigating team, that the true perpetrator of the murders is a Force user capable of using either their abilities or technology such as a holoshroud to appear to the witnesses as the Vice Governor. The ability of some Force users to alter their appearance, and the existence of technology that would also allow them to do so, are both proven facts. The video footage recovered of the true perpetrator is proof that the Vice Governor was not involved. If the UPD did not believe that Mr. Monite and his clients truly believe what they have publically claimed, I would not hesitate to charge them all with slander. And so I caution them now, publically, that if they do not cease and desist with their defamatory statements, it is the UPD that will filing charges against them.
One final note before I close, and one additional set of facts that Mr. Monite left out of his statement, goes to the credibility of his witnesses. Both of Mr. Monite’s clients are known criminals with extensive records, and Tok’la Sike himself is suspected to have been heavily involved in criminal wrongdoings. It is the belief of the UPD that these murders were the direct result of those criminal wrongdoings, and that the murders are the work of an associate of rival criminal organizations, or an assassin hired by such a competing organization.
In closing, let me make this promise to the citizen’s of Umgul: rest assured that the UPD will continue to search for the true perpetrator with the help of the Jedi and the Sector Rangers; we will find them; and we will bring them to justice just as Mr. Monite has asked. Justice will be served. Thank you.
“A very different account of matters, T’ed, Kon’ee says as the view on the screen splits so that she is on one side and T’ed Kuppel, Foxx News political and legal analyst, is on the other. Does this dispel the ominous cloud Mr. Monite’s statements left hanging over the Vice Governor, Mist Government, and the UPD? What, if any, effect do you think the commissioner’s statement will have on the serious allegations made earlier today?”
“Well Kon’ee, T’ed says as he turns dramatically while the camera zooms in and changes to a frontal view of the Gran, unfortunately we are now faced with two opposing versions of what happened that both rely heavily on what one believes the Force enables those able to use it to do. Despite what the Commissioner has said, his version of events does not disprove the theory that the Vice Governor could have committed the crimes by using a doppelgänger, or a Force Phantom that could be made by the use of telepathy to appear as any being the Vice Governor wanted it to. That would explain the physical evidence the commissioner and his investigators found seeming to point in another direction than the Vice Governor, and also makes the commissioner's assertion that the footage his investigators have recovered clears the Vice Governor a bit premature.
No matter where the truth of this matter lays, some damage has unfortunately already been done, not only to the reputations of the Vice Governor and the Mist Government, but also to that of the UPD. Whether or not that damage can be undone will depend on what is learned in the following days as this story continues to unfold, and only if all avenues of the investigation are openly and thoroughly explored.
Another point, which neither Mr. Monite nor the commissioner addressed, is that the Vice Governor is, under Umgul law, immune from prosecution. That could be why the Sector Rangers, who enjoy a wider scope of judicial power than either the UPD or the Mist Government, have been called in to aid in the investigation. Unless the Mist Government were to, in light of overwhelming evidence of his guilt, which certainly does not exist as of yet, strip the Vice Governor of that immunity, only the Sector Rangers would be able to prosecute the Vice Governor for any criminal offense he might be discovered to have committed.
The question on everyone's mind now is bound to be whether or not the investigators will re-examine their findings in light of the disturbing questions that have been raised by Mr. Monite’s statement, and whether or not the Mist Government or the Vice Governor himself will choose to respond to these, and other, lingering questions which are sure to be on the minds of Umgul’s citizens. One thing, however, is for sure Kon'ee, and that is that this story is far from over. Stay tuned to Foxx News for all future developments in this explosive story.”

When both Crystal and Elika started to say that it was his choice really when it came to the clothing department, Franz smiled and nodded and even listened to the location of that said place. At first he was really concentrated on that and then his hearing picked up something relatively nearby. Closing his eyes to focus onto his, his augmented his presence in the Force in order to get a hold of that ability of his. He was listening to that breaking news that one of the customers in this restaurant was listening to. Of course Franz had been aware of that more or less, that Andros was supposedly the one that committed the crimes last night, but no. The signature Franz had felt last night wasn't Andros' it was someone Franz did not know, that no one knew at all.
Missing the fact that Lochan had brought him the stimcaf, missing on that fact, Franz entirely forgot to thank the Toydarian. Franz's expression lost all of the humor that had been present there ever since he stepped into TaSpa!, at this point forward, he clearly did not know what to really do considering that knowing Atlantis, the man would tell him to stay put and that if he did needed help, he would call, not before.
And now it seemed that even Crystal was even aware of that situation especially when she was asking for the Attorney General, Franz was quite aware that an injunction was both placed on Atlantis' name and Crystal's when it came to the gossips but when it was something such as the current situation, he was pretty sure that the said injunction wouldn't hold at all considering that this was a crime. Franz reached out for Crystal's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Those are slanders, Andros and Atlantis were no way near that site last night." At least he could tell that with certainty for Andros' location because the man was far away from that estate and there were no doppelgangers at all activated. The four of them who knew that Force power always knew whenever one of those said doppelgangers would appear. Although from memories, he was sure that Ryan could tell about Atlantis' whereabouts last night due to the fact that they were both at the academy and Ryan was also attuned to the Force.
Franz looked at Elika with a very serious expression before shaking his head to respond to the question she had asked to Crystal. "Andros has been wrongfully accused by witnesses that apparently saw him last night..." Franz took a deep breath and scratched the back of his head before glancing at Crystal's datapad, just telling her if necessary to get her own datapad and consult the news if Crystal couldn't come to tell Elika the news really.

Smoke. Drag. Gaps. Records. Absolute last.
After taking out a cigarette and her lighter, Nuala lights the cigarette and puts the lighter in the pack, tossing it to Nemes as she inhales deeply and looks up to blow a thin stream of bluish smoke upwards as she listens to the detectives go back and forth. “Not that I’m aware of, Nuala says after Nemes asks about the existence of a database of Force users and their abilities. I think Nazani’s right, our only option is to ask Atlantis about whether his brother knows either of the powers. Taking another drag off her cigarette, Nuala says, She’s right too, about the possibility that this kind of confusion is exactly what the killer probably wants to happen. I mean, even if we do learn that the Vice Governor knows either of those powers, that’s a long way from proving that he used them to commit the murders. I’m starting to think that coroner was right, we don’t have enough to solve this right now, and unless the killer strikes again, we might not ever solve it. Flicking her cigarette away, Nuala says, One thing’s for sure, we aren’t going to solve anything standing around here. Let’s head back to the station and see if Maddie got anything useful from the witnesses,” Nuala says, turning and heading for her swoop.
Back at the station, not long before the first news report concerning their investigation airs, Madieke leans back in her chair, rubbing her eyes after having read over the information on Entin and Orlov for the third time and still not seeing anything that makes understanding why the Jedi seem so sure that the Zeltron is the killer they are looking for. Nothing in the woman’s history suggests she is either a Force sensitive or a skilled enough duelist to have committed the crimes. There are gaps in what is known of the woman’s past, but with so many more far more common and reasonable explanations for those gaps than being secretly trained in the ways of the Force, Madieke cannot understand why the Jedi have lept to that conclusion.
Standing and pouring herself a cup of the horrid station caf, Madieke is about to dig into the files from the OC unit on the other organized crime organizations known to operate on Umgul to see if there are any records indicating any of them tend to use off-world mercs or assassins when an officer sticks his head in the door and suggests she turn on the holonews.
Closing her eyes and rubbing them with a sigh after sitting through the reports from UNN and Foxx News, Madieke silently counts to ten to try and calm herself down. The attention that the press will undoubtedly keep on the story will only complicate an already complicated investigation, and is the absolute last thing she needs. Taking her datapad and starting to send a message to Atlantis to tell him to watch the holonews in case he hasn’t yet, Madieke mutters a string of curses under her breath.
To: Atlantis Vyridian CC: Mace Vos Subject: Holonews
Atlantis,
Watch the holonews if you haven’t already seen it, then get back to the precinct ASAP. We need to talk.
Sending the brief message, Madieke sits on the edge of the table in the center of the room and starts thinking about how she should proceed with her investigation. The public accusations made against the Vice Governor will demand a response of some kind from the investigators, and unfortunately Madieke cannot see how it will be possible to make any kind of response without at least interviewing Andros Vyridian to try and gauge whether or not there could be anything to the allegations that have been made in light of the possibility there now looks as though there is a way he could have committed the crimes after all, remote as that possibility seems to her. Even though she doesn’t know the Vice Governor personally, Madieke can’t imagine that interviewing the man will be easy when even his own brother describes him as volatile.
