...and as much as I want to respond, I think I'd rather let Dante field this one. I want to see him squirm. Haha.

S'fine with me. I think it'd flow smoother if he answered first anyways.

If you would permit me, I would like to become involved in the search for the artifact as a third party. Since this is Dante's plot, and heavily tied in to his personal backstory, you probably should talk to him directly. I don't have an issue with another party joining the hunt, but I am worried about another collaborator slowing us down even further. We've had enough trouble moving the story forward as it is. If you do join the hunt, you need to be reliable if/when we cross paths. I don't have an issue with it par say, but I have to agree with Liya...another person is going to slow us down even more...and we are SLOW as it is. If you hunt for the eye, just keep in mind it does have a very important function in my backstory...I essentially need it in one place, for a specific event...after that, I have no further need for it. Posted by the way; took me a while, I had to get into a Dante mindset.

Loved it, D. Though I could definitely see Benedict saying this very similarly to his dissertation aboard the battleship in Star Trek, that was what sold it for me. Good stuff.
EDIT: Although, I'm having a thought.
If we're trying to prevent a superweapon from being built, and Seros knows about the nature of the weapon and how they're using Force-sensitives to get what they need, it would only be logical for him to at least consider getting the Council involved. And that is something I'm not sure we want to be doing for the sake of keeping things simple, RP wise. Regardless, I feel it's an idea that should be addressed in character, amongst all the players. Maybe convince Seros not to (which in these particular circumstances would/could be difficult) or maybe investigate ways that we could incorporate/write their involvement in as side events to keep the story believable and mainly focus on what we're doing as a group. I wouldn't mind doing that. My main thing is to make the story as believable as possible.
And here I'm now starting to think that people might start regretting having at least a former Order member on the team. I dunno. I want to keep the writing as simple as we can, and NOT have any others sign on into our SL for the sake of time and speed. I'm merely trying to think how Seros would.

Liya wouldn't go for that at all. So I may be able to write something that would at least delay the decision for you/us.

I could make it so that Zooey is one of his people, it would give him first hand knowledge of the Eye and make a good story for me. I figure that could kill two birds with one stone, he'd have his information and I could get rid of an NPC that I never use.

Oh man. Way to stir the pot, Seros.
This next post is going to be a ton of fun. Between you two, you've pushed most of Liya's buttons. Now I have to decide whether she's going to crack or not.

I find this acceptable to me. Just keep in mind that the eye will need to be completely assembled, and then integrated into the superweapon at some point. It needs to fire just once for my own story purposes...but beyond that, if its taken out of the weapon afterwards, split up, destroyed, etcetera...don't really care. Loved it, D. Though I could definitely see Benedict saying this very similarly to his dissertation aboard the battleship in Star Trek, that was what sold it for me. Good stuff. EDIT: Although, I'm having a thought. I want to keep the writing as simple as we can, and NOT have any others sign on into our SL for the sake of time and speed. I'm merely trying to think how Seros would. Im telling you I fell in love with Benedict...a practical living avatar of Dante, who's every bit as spiciest and superior as he is; I would have become interested in Star Trek sooner if I had known such a character existed. I have to confess into darkness was my first Trek film. As for keeping it simple, I think that should be a priority, though I do agree its something that should be addressed IC. Believability is a big one for me too - I think we're similar in that we both project our characters as faithfully as possible to their own personalities. I think Dante would think the idea silly...the superweapon, while a big deal on the naval scale, wouldn't make too big of a splash on a galactic scale. The weapon was designed to even things on the fleet level; to make up for the small Syndicate fleet when pitted against larger fleets. As far being in the same arena as a planet or system ender like the crusher os DS...I think Dante would honestly die laughing at the thought.

Liya doesn't trust the Jedi, especially not the organized order, and I may be able to drop some clues to that in my next post. That might give Seros another reason for caution.

You don't have to be hasty in dropping clues before I verbally forward it. lol. Let it flow naturally, I guess.
I assume we'll be at our destination in the next few posts?

Oh, I don't think I'm forcing anything. Dante already mentioned the Jedi splinter group on Bespin, and she's not going to be happy about the idea of them getting involved.

I assume we'll be at our destination in the next few posts? I guess that depends on the next few posts. I probably need to have a further word with Dante before we arrive, and we need to do some planning concerning the rescue of Kim Zawadi, although that might be OOC as much as IC, I dunno. Liya has a basic plan for the operation, and there are certain things I need to have happen, because I have some surprises planned.
