And if we really want to screw with Gideon Warr's head, I think I just figured out what we should do.
Throw the massive battle at him exactly as Dante would have planned it --- as a diversion. Then we go in as a small team with someone else calling the shots. Even if Warr catches on to the infiltration and is expecting it, the exact details won't go down the way he expects. It will be interesting to see what he does when all his paranoid pre-planning goes to waste and an unknown is leading the infiltration. Will he panic and make a fatal mistake? I'm thinking yes. ^_^

I should have Trask randomly show up asking for his guns back, then be forced to plan the attack and defeat Warr in order to help the crew get Fel back in order to reclaim his property.

Do you all still have room for me? Good question. I don't see why not. The timetable for our assault on Gideon Warr has been moved up, and we're not going to any more intermediate planets looking for the Eye, but I don't see why you couldn't be involved. I'm not sure what the exact status of the Eye is or how we plan to find it. Dante will have to update that part. And your character might not be comfortable with some of the things we are planning to do (for example, if we decided to destroy a piece of the Eye to keep it from being used). I'd definitely be open to your return. I liked the tension your character brought by being so terribly out of place. Liya understands Daniel's situation because she used to work and study in an academic environment, although she's not that person anymore. |

Plan for the raid on the Black Bantha. Please feel free to suggest additions or changes.
Kim Zawadi, another martial arts expert, and Syndicate recruiters are meeting in a cafe on the second floor of the Black Bantha. The internal structure is as described in my super long post a month or two ago: 3 story building. Casino on the bottom floor, in a central court, with no ceilings, only a glass roof. Balconies on all 4 sides for the other two floors. We go in, we grab our victims, and we leave. The Syndicate thugs will try to retrieve their weapons from the smuggler at the bag check counter on the first floor.
Liya - will climb the roof from the outside of Cloud City, cut a hole, and drop weapons in to the rest of the crew. Also providing sniper cover fire from the third floor or the roof, and an eagle eye in the sky to call out dangers.
Jace - Enter cafe as patron, find Kim, get her moving, drop her captors if needed, help kidnap a Syndicate thug.
Dante - Pose as a gambler, watch bag check. As soon as we make our moves, there will be a rush for the weapons, and that's how we will know who is Syndicate. Your job is to make sure none of those thugs ever reach their weapons. That way, the only ones with weapons are us (and casino security). Help Jace kidnap a Syndicate thug.
Tim (Wade's NPC) - Muscle. Mayhem. Prevent us from being pursued as we leave the casino.
I will be writing Liya, Kim, the other martial arts expert, and any guards on the roof or third floor. The rest is fair game, I don't have any specific plans beyond those characters.
We need a more precise getaway plan for how we get back to the ship, unless we count on no one pursuing us beyond the front door.

I think Tim should be at the table with Dante, and start a ruckus with him over cheating right before you guys make your move, both providing a distraction and presenting the illusion that he and Dante are on opposing sides. Then he can throw Dante at anyone who tries to reach the bag check. |

I glanced at Jace out of the corner of my eye. Dante was turning into someone with a much larger and more complicated history, not to mention more assets and wealth, than anyone I had ever met, and it seemed that he would continue to astonish me on a regular basis. At least Jace was a pretty normal spacer. I mean, he had some mercenary connections that ran deep enough to afford to outfit The Red Cred with a top notch armory, but beyond that, he was just a regular guy. Or so I hoped. I wasn't sure what I would do if I found myself surrounded by a crew full of Dantes. Dammit Liya, you know I have to reveal Jace's true nature at some point! |
