Agreed, beyond medical school at the Firrerre college, Dante doesn't know that much of the other sciences, or of more esoteric studies such as cultural studies and archaeology.

Depends on what we're counting. That would probably get you factual knowledge of a subject, but not a social understanding of how career scholars like Daniel think and act. 

Quick update, I'm improving.

Let's hope I didn't just jinx myself.

I'm still on fairly intense pain meds and both hands are still in bracers, but it looks like I won't need surgery anytime soon, and I can finally feel my left hand! I also got a speech-to-computer program in case I couldn't type at all, and it's not working out very well. But typing seems to be getting easier. Been working really slowly on my post for the past two days after I got feeling back, here's hoping I can churn out a decent one! Cross your fingers, toes, and eyes.

Okay, so.
Dante, your info extraction post..got me..STUPID GIDDY. Here I am, sitting alone in my friend's house that I'm renting a room in, and I simply could not contain myself.
*clapped hands loudly, slapped my knee* "HHoooo, Dante! You son of a bitch!" Seriously man, that whole connection with, well...EVERYTHING, got my head gears turnin' like Star Wars steampunk. By writing that, you essentially made whatever trouble I anticipated for Seros to be in fold over about four times. Not only is the Syndicate and Black Sun wanting his research on drugs and various narcotics..but now, in essence of the entirety of the situation, a kriffing Moff needs in it his grand scheme. And the artifact explanation satiated many questions I had about it. Now I'm left wondering how much Seros will initially know about it.

The bit about the electromagnetic field it emits intrigued me, not just from the militaristic point of view as you elaborately wrote..but from Seros' point of view and what conclusions he would draw from it upon learning of its involvement. Having read on multiple artifacts through his days in academies and enclaves, he would obviously have come to realization that Force artifacts (albeit potent ones) tend to affect things in their environment in supernatural ways due to power emissions or other inherent properties. (..I feel like I'm stating the obvious here, but I'm just thinking out loud.) He wouldn't have to know much of their intentions, and he'd immediately plug in the idea that his research and intel on drugs would be somehow connected.

So.. *stretches back and arms, cracks knuckles, and lightly strums the keyboard with eager fingers*
..now I'm musing on where Seros will actually be during all of this. Before I can muse further, I am wondering on where Kaali is at this point, and I'm also considering 'voiding' the conversation I started with Rana and Logan we had back on roleplayerguild.com. Why? Because it simply makes things easier, and I can simply have Seros leave the Loronar's vicinity before he..

1. Finds out about the artifact, thereby further releasing him from..
2. Having been around for this attack, because if he was in the immediate vicinity, then what the hell was he doing this entire time?

It simply makes things more sensible in terms of continuity and staying true to character.
So, Seros left after helping Dante recover in the bay, probably to stock up on personal effects and things he'd need to continue surviving on the run. If Kaali hooked a ride with Liya or Sky (whomever made their way back to the Indy), then that would leave room for them to reunite (FINALLY). If/when Seros learns of the mishap in concerns to Dante, and that no one else was killed except the mercs, he would know Oz would relocate and send Seros' former hosts on their way, meaning he'd leave with Kaali. None of his pursuers know of her yet. He'd make the note to apologize to Oz later. That's all I got thusfar.

Comments, affirmation, rebuttals, etc?

It's okay. Working things out between Kelley, David and I as we speak. I'll get back to y'all tonight probably after work.

Not that there's much of anything left to join anyway... lol. At least not right now, though hopefully we get the band back together in the future.
