I already know everything that will happen on Bespin. The problem is finding that time to sit down and write it out. I thought my schedule had room last night, and I was wrong.

Ok! I've written up the pre-written portion (Dante's part anyway), and posted it in the hyperspace thread in outer rim west. (http://boards.jedivsith.com/post/85081/thread linky)
I was pretty vague as to how I got there, landed, etcetera, primarily because I didn't want to write us into a hole, or make assumptions with the ships and all that. So, basically, I just wrote myself as already on the station (or presumably separated from the rest of you guys once we landed) and going off by myself. I didn't want to take too many liberties with the landing, fighting, and all that, because my primary story is confronting the "Moff". I leave the rest of the details to be meted out (or not) by you guys.
I also tried to keep it under five pages, so, apologies if it seems short in places. I had to make some cuts though when I got to twelve pages; had to remind myself that this was a forum, not a book.

So, I gotta ask... whose seen it yet? Wade and I are going after New Years. Dan, I was bad and looked at FaceBook and saw your comment about having an extra ticket for today! Damn sure wish I lived in walking distance. Scale of 1 - 10? No detailed, no spoilers, but your initial reaction was...? Good? Bad? Unsure? I'm so curious! But NO SPOILERS. Also, hi Dante. WE HAVE MISSED YOU. I look forward to not Christmas shopping anymore so I can catch up on reading your epics. Dan, David, working on something for you guys, slowly but surely. Holidays over here are a little...intense.

Lor -- it's... it's really, really freakin' good.
I'll say this: I've studied film, and I went to see it with several good friends -- one of whom makes his living as a film-maker. He's incredibly hard on every movie we see, though he's a child of the early 80's, and so has a nostalgic soft-spot for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. etc. We were talking about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull before the curtain went up on 'Force Awakens.' He said (and I agreed) that it wasn't enough to have Harrison Ford and the original cast / creative team back ('cause both Lucas and Spielberg were involved in Crystal Skull, and got SO MUCH of it wrong -- what happened? Were you guys asleep during 'Raiders' and 'Temple of Doom?' Did you not take notes? How did you fark this up so badly?) and that he would never again enter a film that trades, even a little bit, on the nostalgia of our youth with high hopes, only to have that crushed by a disappointment. So Steve was very, very wary.
Anyways -- back to the subject at hand. It wouldn't have been enough to simply assemble the original cast, and watch them go through the motions. I've seen enough Harrison Ford films where he seems to do just that. No, it would have to be a resurgence of those characters, those particular quirks and mannerisms, the tone, the writing, the shots, the sets (and a TASTEFUL use of CGI) ...it all needed to work in harmony for this film to erase the bad taste in my mouth left by Episodes 1-3.
I will say this: Steve (the single harshest critic I know) and I both left with tears of joy streaming down our faces. It's... it's just... really freakin' great.

Episode. VII. Was. Awesome.
I mean, sure, I have questions about some things that were not explained (yet), and there are a lot of places you can nitpick, but I enjoyed every moment of the movie. I don't remember a single cringe-worthy moment, so it was pretty much the opposite of Attack of the Clones LOL.

It was amazing. I could go on and on about how amazing it was...but it would be a wasted effort. My words would not convey how awesome it was.
So, I leave you with this; it was awesome. Pure, chocolate dipped, bacon wrapped, grilled, awesome. With a side of "Wow", and heaping second helping of "Oh my Gerd".

I get about three words into my post and I'm called off for presents or cookies or 'let's sit by the fire even though it's 80 degrees and play with all this awesome shit we got on Christmas'. So...yeah. Doing what I can, when I can! Wade and I are going to see TFA on the 30th. I think. IF I can snag tickets, because everywhere else is booked. Then we can all fangirl/boy together.

Ok, so, I have some explanation to write... Uh, this backstory was to write up Dante Deveaux as having manipulated his biological son, Corvo, into doing all of the events of the whole years worth of RP we've been doing. Only problem with that, is on my other SL's they want kickass Dante and not Corvo for their schemes. SO. To explain all this via Retcon...Corvo will be assuming the name Dante Deveaux the 2nd, and more or less following in his father's footsteps; this second Dante will be the one that Jace knew during the wars, and etcetera. That's all I got. Apparently me writing off Dante wasn't a popular move. >_< EDIT: PS, add me on FB. I got a new profile up, and this time went through some extra hoops with FB to make sure it wont get deleted like last time. Linky.

I know right? I was really trying to avoid that this time. There were about seven or eight versions of Arcturus (Note: its really bad when even the WRITER can't remember how many versions), and I swore that wouldn't happen to Dante.
Ha. Yeah. Right.

And you we were doing so well, too. Maybe it's time to go back to Retconners Anonymous....

I think its a testament to the Fel crew's writing that you guys have managed to hold me down on one (Er, I guess now two) iterations of Dante. You can ask Jace for the ancient history, and Wade for plain history - I would have gone through eight or nine characters by now. Retconners Anonymous may be the only option.

I remember the first version I met. A giant lizard who wanted to run around the icy wastes of Csilla because, well... why not?
Good times.

And it is only now, when we have been stuck for months, that you finally caved to create a new Dante. I am sorry, we have all failed you. Thanks, Mirian!
