Jedi Council OOC planning

Just a quick question. Once upon a time the Jedi Guardians were established on this site as the front line to the defense of the galaxy and they even, albeit perhaps a little unsuccessfully had their own temple, which maybe wasn't the best idea since it isolated them rather than brought them under our united flag.

We now have seen the rise of the Watchmen and I think this is a great addition, they are now as I see a group of good writers who outreach to several different planets and who protect/defend said planets.

What I propose is perhaps a similar mechanism for Guardians and I wanted to run it past you.

Now as I see it the Watchmen are perhaps more fixed (perhaps I have this wrong.) However if this is the case then I propose that where possible if an event in the galaxy happens whereby a Guardian would typically deal with then send a Guardian character. There could perhaps even be a separate list not unlike our master padawan sheet that documents as a list what each Jedi character specializes in and what rp they are interested in.

I don't want to restrict anyone and I believe we have established a fantastic Jedi Order whereby everyone does everything and everyone generally responds and gets involved, I was just seeking a way of highlighting the special differences between the classes a bit more and I was looking for feedback and ideas of ways of highlighting our characters chosen roles and different strengths without losing what we have or it becoming detrimental.

Steffo, Ive been trying to do what you are suggesting with the Watchmen since their inception. Its what I have wanted to do since day one.

Already in the process, due to the mando war. After Adi and Will get their promotions on Coruscant, we are going after some mando targets. Trust me, we are SO gonna make em regret ever hitting Yavin, LOL

Right, since I always preach about accountability and openness.

The Council hasn't really been focussed on many central topics. We are currently meeting IC to discuss the following:

Will to High Council (Yay!)
Adi to Master (meh)
Yavin and the greater Mando Conflict
The Vortex conflict and the findings (a closure of a much older RP)
Ak-Akari Obachu brought into the fold

Some of us (Dav. Jago and I) have taken special interest in keep the Republic together, and get it off the ground on the new site.

Very short agenda, but this Yavin thing is a huge RP and will evetually encompass the Greater Order. Is there anything that you as the body feel we as the Council needs to deliberate about?

Well, if you want to kick off on a Jedi world, Coruscant is there and looking for some more life. At least you can start writing a few bits to get your mind back in the game, so to speak, and then find something as you go.

Truthfully? We -need- the Republic for this war. We technically don't have fleets or armies...they are republic owned. So....in short...without the Republic? We are pretty much at the mercy of the Mandalorians, aside from a few spec ops teams that a couple of us have...and they aren't going to be able to hold back the tide. Therefore, kudos to you guys trying to increase its activity. Now....

Meh? Seriously? Sheesh, I give you a great job, treat you to a huge party on Honoghr upon the site's reopening, GRACIOUSLY deal with your snoring/drooling/alcohol farts on the trip to Coruscant, and you don't think I deserve to be a Jedi Master? Shenanigans, I say!!! LOL.

Well, everyone else is showing up on Coruscant, since Ryloth is held up by Mike Frantz's absence. Perhaps this is where the Jedi start to assemble a semblance of a counter-attack on the Mandalorians? Adi was going to present something to the Council while he was here....up to you guys, but, we could 'pick you up' there, so to speak, if the two of you wanted.

Well there I am on Coruscant. Anyone wanna come talk to Atton?

... when I said Coruscant... I didn't mean... crash the High Council. We've got enough there already.
