Haha, well Plu has always been a master manipulator. He usually lays the groundwork behind the scenes long before he makes any military moves. We can definitely do both.

Having a Mando Anor would be brilliant. It'd add such a sense of realism to the story, not to mention Cold Wars are just as much a part of Star Wars as lightsabers and starships. I'm certainly all for it.

Anyone need a Senator character? Btw, hello Jago, you look aged! *squints at avatar* Did you used to be that worn-looking? *hugs* I feel like someone should hand Corr some cookies. *waves supportive banner* So, is this a war against Force Users or against Jedi? Plu is a manipulator...heehee.

Well, if, you wanted, you could always write the Ysanna Senator for Ossus...
Also, I haven't noticed your arrival because I'm stuck dueling a pod person. If you like, I'm sure my droid would be happy to meet you. Or my new Padawan.
As for who's on Ossus. Regularly? Me. Annika (now). Casten Lorsa. Potentially? Jaecyn Riddick. Talon Frost (my other Padawan). Typhor Zero. Of course, those three are somewhere RL...

Also, I think in honor of this war, I should change my signature: "Putting the Man in Mandalorian...because someone has to." What do you think? Too on the nose?

Just for the record, the Supreme Chancellor that will be elected (quite forcibly I might add) will be very pro-jedi, working side by side with jedi personally. With theoretical complete martial powers, the Republic would ultimately want to come to the jedi's aid. IC it makes no sense, especially with the Watchmen program that have jedi sectored on many non-jedi planets.
Now what kind of political conflict, backlash this may ensue and endure, I will leave that to the posers to democracy and peace. you know who you are. . . .

I'm also seeing the scope of this being quickly narrowed. I felt that I was a key author to this, and now I find myself sidelined. If the Republic is being left out, there goes my need to alarm them and rally troops against the blockade (which the idea is still sound, on a "kill them all and move on" standpoint, but if that's not the point, that whatev, no worries-- we can move on), the counter attack groups are set, and I would not be in a place to help defend Ossus, or Ossarian.
Not to sound selfish, but What is the next step for the rest of us?

Ossus and Osarian, anywhere, in fact, should be open to whomever wants it, I think. Yavin's only a different matter because it's already begun, and there have been some very clear agreements made between myself and the Yavin head writers, and Corr and Ashrah, as to what was going to happen long term for the planet and its' RP, but even then, the Republic is crucial to that RP, especially at the end when the blockade tumbles. But tbh, leaving the Republic out... Will's right, that doesn't make sense to me. I certainly think that political motivators and bureaucracy could delay the Republic committing to it officially, but Osarian and Ossus are both Republic worlds, represented in the Senate: an attack on them would get the Republic talking, would get up-roar in the Senate, and those that were anti-Jedi would probably find their voices drowned out in the wake of the demands to take the fight to the Mandalorians. Turning it around so that the Anti-Jedi senators push to have Jedi removed from those worlds with Republic or Civilian populations, sure that works, but sitting back and doing nothing doesn't so much.
Ultimately, the other thing to remember is that the Jedi are recognised and supported by the Republic's charter.

Is it just me or have others noticed the trend of Or'dinii members getting sneaky as all get out when they start getting old?

When they 'start' getting old? I thought they were born with that...
I agree with Will though. The Republic would definitely be involved somehow. Whether it's a long stalemate in the Senate, or whatever, it just doesn't make sense to have the Republic be completely oblivious and nonchalant about a major effort to wipe out the Jedi. Unless of course, the Senate is going Order 66 again...

I agree about the Republic. I actually was assuming that my efforts to create a stalemate will ultimately fail.

Plu is old and probably crotchety by this point.
I think Senate-y stuff could be fun to write, but unless I was misinformed this Jihad is supposed to last all summer and create epicness everywhere.

Not that anyone cares (really, just trying to keep this off page 2), but I've been thinking: once (if?) Ossus gets attacked, Devlin will leave with the Jedi to regroup and plan a counterstrike to regain the planet and the cache of knowledge found in the GJL. Once out in the universe, I think I will have him construct new lightsabers--tonfas with phrik hilts--to help signify his change of role in the galaxy...even if it's momentarily.
And, like I asked on 1.5 before the crash, if anyone wants to help out, just let me know.
And, just let me know when things are about to turn toward Ossus and what you need from me (maybe I should be more involved. meh).

Are there any fleet assets protecting Ossus? If not in open Uni do you want to get some kind of fleet encounter going within the closed RP setting?
