What I'd really like to see would be some non - Shadow involvement ooc, as far as getting things set up. Who do you all want to see do what, and what do you guys want to see from us collectively?
There's been a lot of Shadow action independent of the rest of the Order out of character, and one of the major emphases we're striving for this time around is that unity. So feedback would be great. If you like something, let us know. You don't like it? What could we do to change it. Questions about what a Shadow is, what we do, why my character is such a shady guy? Ask!
My whole thing is, yeah, I fully expect us to be autonomous... but we're YOUR Jedi Shadows. A healthy investment of interest can work wonders for making us a better writing unit.

No worries Z, I've actually got some neat ideas brewing with Arcturus for the Reassignment Council. It's all water off a duck's back, my friend. If you're a Jedi Shadow and I'm a Jedi, does that mean we're connected at the feet? Will you run away so I have to catch you? And, if you do run away, will I find you in Wendy's room? (too obvious, now?) Truthfully, I'd really like to see the Shadows get rolling. I think they're an awesome part of the Order and something we desperately need to be a functioning Order. Without the intel from the Shadows we won't know who and where to strike. We won't see our enemies coming. I think they might work closely with the Watchmen at times--even if the Watchmen don't know the Shadows are Shadows--and alone or in pairs at others. Mostly, I see them on the fringes of the Jedi Order...not necessarily as well-known as some of the Jedi; but not unknown. Their Shadow status may be a secret, except for a few, or perhaps a few select Jedi know they're Shadows (it's up to how you guys want to play it both individually and collectively). Plus, I think they'd work well with the Investigators...oh yeah, whatever happened to them?...or could possibly the Watchmen be the Investigators? I think the Investigators definitely fall under the jurisdiction of the Council of Reconciliation. Right. - Glad we're getting the Shadows up and running good and proper
- Go do Shadowy stuff like cooling desert oasises (oases?)
- Take good notes; but pass them covertly and with secret drops

So far as cooperation goes, since the Shadows are the super secret agenty people, it would make more sense for the CoFK and CoRecon to disseminate information back and forth to get support between the Watchmen and the Shadows. I don't think the CoFK would be too keen about blowing the cover of their agents by giving the CoRecon all their identities. If the Watchmen need support, they could come to Rawkill and I and we would send the mission briefs to the Shadow lead so the Shadows can remain covert.
Plus, more interaction between peoples. Hooray interaction!

Also. Ummmm, it's really uncomfortable IC in the HC Spire. Like...it feels like you all hate each other IC and that you are pissed off that people got HC seats. Jedi are supposed to be selfless in service to the greater good and all I see is a wash of posts from people who are bitter, upset and doubting of the new leadership.
I hate to point it out but you're making the DT leadership look like the Brady Bunch...

Sin, you just said what I'm feeling. It seems right now like some of the Jedi characters have become vents for OOC bitterness. Right now the Spire is not feeling like a gathering of Jedi. >.<

Ok, all that -aside-...*erm*.....
We need to find a new Jedi Watch Lead. I don't think it should be a HC member that runs that team, so...yea. Adi will be stepping down in that role. What I want to know from you guys is how we do it....Should I have Adi just pass the leadership to someone? HC nominates someone else?
Just wondering what you guys thought.

Well the watchmen are their own group. Is there anyone among them that wants the leadership position? Who is going to announce the council appointments? Does everyone just want to play that they were the rest of the ballot that everyone voted on?

Truthfully, I wanted Shihab Mahir to take over the Watch Lead position...*Just a suggestion...NOT saying that I have to have him there* but he is the best choice for the position in my own personal opinion... Besides, he is one of Adi's former students, and he excelled at his job during the Yavin and Carida campaign.
I am completely open to any of your suggestions, Ray, or any that anyone else has as well.

If you think Devlin's upset, then I either misrepresented him or did not adequately convey his belief in the new HC. He merely wished to bolster the first two HCs to approach their seats by agreeing they belonged there. Plus, he never misses an opportunity to make a joke at Adi's expense...who does? If it came off like he only thinks of himself as a High Councilor, well, that was all just in his internal process of accepting his new role as a Jedi not on the Council, since he's been on a Council for so long. Sorry, if he needed a moment to process it and it came off as raw, rough, or uncomfortable. My bad.

Although it is always good to have some doubts about leadership, It's not like you should 100% trust someone in such a position, especially since a lot of people seem to not really know each other all too well. But still a bit sadenning. Anyway... |
