I think I am a Jedi Lord. Or Jedi Emperor.  Though on a serious note, I think this is where I get the notion that I'm not wanted. Jedi A:"Hey look, there are Sith over there." Jedi B:"Who cares, I'm writing character development." Jedi A:"But they are killing people and being bad." Jedi B:"Not my problem." I want a nemesis. I want a do gooder who has had it up to here with my shenanigans and wants to see me pay. I really kinda feel that bad guys can get away with anything. Taung blew up planets. I have attacked numerous Jedi bases. I have never been approached in 7 years about being apprehended. I would love it. But it never, ever happens. |

So, is there a way this can be made to happen? I highly doubt a single Jedi would go after Sinistra because that would require tackling fleets, armies, etc. But perhaps in the course of the Cold War we can work on this? I've not been a major, influential Jedi writer until last fall when the Order reorganized. War rp really isn't my thing, but I'll try to do something for you.  |

Will, you have some valid points, but you seem to be going in a circle and demanding that A) we all agree with your opinion (which earlier you were saying we couldn't force people to do things?) and/or B ) that your opinion is the most valid due to your long-standing presence on the site and multiple leadership roles in the past. I think this is why people are not reacting well to an opinion that seems to be standing alone. Saying "I am the king," does not mean that one is actually the king, at least according to Tywin Lannister. RL does come first, yes, absolutely. You haven't written much since early December, and that is more than 'a few weeks' ago by now. It would be good to have you back if you've gotten your other stuff straightened out. But I want to make (or attempt to as it seems it isn't) a few things clearer. I don't think everyone needs to have my opinion; i think everyone should respectfully consider it. and I didn't see it respectfully considered until today (and Rawkill 2 days is not enough time to consider things-- in my world that is flip flopping. if you felt a certain way you should take the time to consider it is actually how you feel, which brings me to my second point). I don't come to this because SOLELY on my long standing stature. I came to this based on my experience with Galaxy spanning RP. That is my gripe and disagreement. Not a shared goal. But perhaps your definition of a shared goal and mine are 2 different things. If shared goals is 'uphold the jedi code, stand for democracy and the Republic' is your definition-- that we are there.If a shared goal that 'every new jedi on the site is greeted by an experienced writer'-- then we are are on the same page. If shared goal you mean 'I've obligated the Order in this huge RP, we had writers-- they dropped out. oops, now i need help.' sorry, that's the problem. And it comes up too too too often. I am cautioning the body from taking up these HUGE RPs. That's all. Some people say, no that is what we need to unify the Jedi. It doesn't work. at every turn that doesn't work. I say that because yes, i was there, and yes 100% it inevitably falls short. That is basically all i am saying. And a restructure is something i have already came out to support, to address those who have said i have done nothing but disagree. And my last storyline wrapped in February, Jade. And when I wrote you I gave you a window of "probably around April." here i am, sweetheart. :-) in all my vivacious and indignant glory. |

I'm really not sure what to say to that last. "Sweetheart?" Are you trying to be condescending? Or cute? Either way, I'm not really pleased or entertained overmuch. I don't appreciate being looked down on or treated like a child.
Leave that out of the equation, and let me know when you're ready to work on something, presuming that you still want/intend to interact with Alexis at some point.

So, with all that aside. What does everyone think of Mike's idea here: Now, it seems to me that what we effectively have are several different academies and enclaves with their own distinct writing groups, with a few people people working in split timelines on multiple planets. This works to our advantage. What this does is allow us to divide the galaxy into areas of responsibility, with each academy taking a different sector. Each academy is responsible for determining their own level of interaction within their AO. An OOC council is then created for the purpose of sharing ideas, discussing the implications of events in the galaxy and how it affects the order, directing RP for the order as a whole based on that. No one has to get involved any more than they wish to, places that wish to remain isolationist are free to do so, and the rest of us are free to interact with the galaxy as we see fit. As far as going forward is concerned, it's a great idea that can easily be implemented, without anyone feeling like they are being forced into any bigger RPs that they personally don't want to get involved in. It gives us a big picture, and lots of chances for small RP, with the Jedi doing what the Jedi should be doing, and that's (including, but not limited to) keeping the peace, enforcing the law, and training to become better, whilst giving us a good way of staying connected and being able to band together if a threat should arise. |

Ca'guuror is an innocent bystander in all this...untrained and not even introduced to Jedi yet, except for the obvious knowledge about them. Eventually, he'll support you guys however even though by all technical standards he will be unfit to be a Jedi himself.

My two favorite ideas: 1) Someone crazy enough infiltrates her staff, becomes the personal valet of Lord Sinistra and tries to take her in custody. Of course there are several variations for the valet part. Like trying to start a romantic relationship and then taking her in. Gosh, I'm tempted to start a very certain char making an attempt on this. 2) The second one is a bit more daring as it would be a climax to the Cold War. During a diplomatic meeting some well placed sabotages could separate Sin and a Jedi Master who then could have a lovely argument. At the end of this the Jedi draws the Shadow-card and they take her in custody having to sneak away with her. Doing this wrong will cause war, doing right means that the Jedi will have to be injured and be on the bounty list of the Empire. There are several other ways but they are not that much fun and have less diplomatic RP attached to it. Just my two very humble cents. |

Considering Sin is seeing someone already, romancing her might not work to your advantage.
What does work to your advantage is that person is not part of the Empire which means she has to sneak away to see him and is frequently giving her guards and people the slip. She can be offworld, but the other part of getting her right now is exactly as you laid out. If you make it known you have the Emperor, the Empire is going to declare war.
Infiltrating her base might be hard to take her into custody because you'd be surrounded by thousands of Imperials.
