A serious topic with lots of laughs in the middle. Not all of us are that great of writers myself included so no need to write the Odyssey here.

Amend it to say, "A mix between the two" Nein. There can be only one! But you just said there could be nine and then you say there can only be one? Make up your mind man.

Well you obviously know my opinion on it.
Enjoys a nice round of drinks... and then makes more drinks with the Ewok spear of drink making.

It really depends on my mood. Right at the moment, I want something more dire, but I am definitely open to silly. Just let me wake up and get some protein and my swim in for the day and I will be ready for silliness. Huzzah for faux bi-polar syndrome!

It's a tough call. I really love both. Preferably at the same time.

I chose Silly RP because, well, that's kind of what I do....
Upon further thought on the matter, however, I'm not entirely certain that my choice was completely accurate.
I love having a silly, goofy character that very rarely takes anything seriously. That's just fun, and it allows me to make full use of my perhaps limited creativity. But when RPing with others, I would much prefer the underlying story to be a serious subject. Like the attack on Yavin IV, or saving the galaxy from something really bad, or having to clean out the ever-accumulating pile of junk in the cargo hold of my freighter. All very serious business.
I have found that I don't do particularly well in a baseless RP in which all involved are trying to be sillier than one another. There has to be an amount of seriousness in the story in order to make the silliness able to be properly appreciated.
Or something.

I always tried to keep a sense of gravity, but keeping my characters like regular people. No one can be serious all the time, no one is so consumed with their own darkness that they can't see some humor somewhere.

Wait, I don't see a choice for sexy RP.
How is stabbing someone in the crotch with a rifle NOT considered sexy?
