As Pixar and i reached the War room, i instinctively put in my password to lock the doors behind me. this wasn’t earlier where i could have sensed some sort of soldier behind me, but rather at this point i needed a little security while the others arrived. when the door locked to my code i smiled inwardly to myself.
“Pixar, one fight on our hands is enough. find me every example of Backdoor subroutine GALSAF used to try and take command of the base.”
the request took a chunk of time. most of the codes were now offline, but still able to be reactivated. carefully i copied down the codes from a dozen subroutines so that when this was over i could see what other temples had these codes embedded in them.
“now, route all processing power away from the subroutines.”
As the subroutines starved for cycles, control of the academy was restored. Noting that i still had to reach out i asked Pixar to raise the jedi high council that any member could advise the jedi in this temple. but as i tried to get access to one of the high councilors…
::Sir, i believe i found something. a communication dating during the battle… considering known evidence and the timing of this video, it wouldn’t have been entered into the archives yet.::
I watched as Aliit’alor Corr Vhett made his speech to the temple, believing for the moment that this was the fate that befell the jedi order.

A few minutes later, Rawkill strolled into the Strategy Centre not long after Master Tuhlute had arrived there. It had been some time since he had last visited this room, having once visited the Yavin IV Praxeum during his training as a Jedi Knight. And now, here he was, returning as a Jedi Master of the Council of First Knowledge. How things have changed since then. Rawkill then turned towards Master Tuhlute, who was already standing in the room =Jedi Master Rawkill= Greetings Master Tuhlute... So, what is this important thing that needs be discussed?

Alexis Karidian joined Masters Diamonte and Rawkill in the Strategy Centre. She bowed politely to both of them as she entered the room. Meeting Adria had proven most interesting already. And there was one other thing she was determined to do yet.
I saw the two of them there: Diamonte with whom I am slightly familiar, and Jedi Master Rawkill from Coruscant. He is an unknown quantity, and I am not anxious to answer questions regarding the decease of my latest Master: Dav Man'sell. Walking silently behind the two of them I paused behind a three-dimensional holographic display of the galaxy focused right now upon Yavin IV and the surrounding systems. I came back to Yavin IV because it is my home and because I realized there was one pressing question that I had ignored for far too long. Back when Nathan Malreaux had left Yavin, the resulting feeling of abandonment had left me in a worse place than I had been in when he originally rescued me from Nar Shaddaa. It had taken Dav's intervention to bring me back. And since then, the feeling of resentment had kept me from searching for the truth about Nathan. This was what brought me back to Yavin now, and threw me into a painful confrontation with Ander Tagira.
Now that I have been focusing on it, since meeting Adria in particular, I have wondered if there are more survivors than are currently accounted for. And there is a small twinge at the back of my mind, the merest flicker of the first Force Bond I ever had. Perhaps he has been there the whole time and I just didn't know how to listen. Either way, I reached out for it now, throwing all my being behind the most basic request and delivered with the urgency of a command: Come back! It took a few minutes after this for me to recall where I was and what I was doing. I'm in the Strategy Centre...and the fate of the Jedi Praxeum is being determined.
Dark brown eyes blinked once in a face that was almost translucently pale. Alexis still wore her braid, but it was tucked up under her hair and wrapped around it as if it was nothing more than a decoration. A green thread wrapped tightly around it marked the end of her relationship with Dav, beyond that, it was not braided, instead growing loose. She stepped from behind the display and faced the other two Jedi, waiting for Diamonte's response to Master Rawkill.

A hologram emanated from the centre of the main table, not in lifesize form, but still recognizable as belong to Councilor Jade currently on Coruscant. She had replied to Rawkill's comlink message earlier, and was on the spot when Diamonte had desired further communication. She was pleased that he was well, having been concerned that perhaps it was her advice that had put him in danger in the first place as when he left Corellia he had seemed bent upon exiling himself on Bakura for a time.
The holographic figure flickered a couple times and then solidified.
Master Rawkill, Diamonte, may we assume the situation on Yavin IV has been stabilized at least for now?

I bowed to Alexis and Rawkill as they each were allowed into the Strategy Centre by Pixar. and when i was addressed by Rawkil, i momentarily took stock of the situation before i began to speak.
“ Greetings again Master Rawkill, the new development is that a Galactic Empire has been formed with the seat of power on Kuat.” Taking a moment to find the file Auric sent me, i played Sinistra’s speech in full for those in the chamber. As Sinistra’s words played for those in the chamber, i considered what had gone on since this year had started. At the appointed time, Sinistra emerged from the lobby of the closest office building, ascending the stage while Lorta asked everyone to take their seats. She looked impeccable, in a finely tailored set of formal robes of traditional noble cut, in silver, lilac and black. She was wearing makeup, her hair artfully done up to make sure her face and ears would be free of obstructions. She smiled at the crowd, and began her address."Good afternoon. I come to you today to talk about the recent losses we have suffered across the sovereign worlds of Dark Tide. The Mandalorian crusade has been successfully stopped thanks in part to the sacrifices made by the men and women of Dark Tide. We struck a blow against the fanatical regime of Ashrah and his forces have retreated back to their homeworld, their ability to strike out at us taken away from them. But the price of that comfort has not come cheaply for any of those involved. All sides have suffered setbacks and catastrophic death tolls. Taung H'rel, who decimated 2 planets, costing millions of lives met his death on this very planet. It is time to turn our focus away from the things we have lost but it is hard to turn away from those nightmares when they are still going on for some of the galaxy. The people of Kuat were evacuated by the Republic and I thank them for their help to save so many precious lives. There has been talk to join the Republic and I took those wishes with me to Coruscant and I addressed the Senate. It was less than encouraging. There is much bureaucracy and much descension among the members who serve there. They are far removed from their homes, their focus so narrowed on their own prestige that the decadence and opulence of the domed house of government is an affront to the people who are dying for them to send troops, relief or trade. I want to believe that they would have loftier aspirations but they are flawed and self righteous. They know better than you how you should be protected. Or helped. They do not see you as equal. We cannot look to them for fairness. They want the coffers of KDY but suggested that Dark Tide should not rebuild their lost ships. Without those ships, I cannot protect trade routes, or supply lines to worlds torn apart in this war. They cannot help their own people. There are too many voices in the Senate, too many interests vying for their own ambition. The leadership is ineffective and corruption is rampant. We are better off making our own way as we always have but my eyes are open now to the failings of the Republic. I cannot turn my back on the ones they have underserved. But as Dark Tide, we cannot do the things we must to enrich the lives of not only our worlds but of those who also have no delusions about the effectiveness of the Senate. Effective immediately, Dark Tide is no more. We will not carry on as merely an economic alliance of worlds. Beginning today, we stand together as an Empire, destined to support each other under the rule of one who has never faltered in their commitment to the success and growth of the worlds who raised our banner. As your Emperor, I ask you to help me rebuild those worlds who have seen devastation. Upon this planet, we will establish our own Senate, where the representatives you choose help to guide me in diverting the flow of trade and resources where all worlds will thrive. To those watching from worlds who have been forgotten by the Senate, pull your support. Pledge your alliegance to the Galactic Empire and I personally promise you that you will never be just a anonymous pod of nameless dignitaries in the crowd. Ask the citizens of our worlds, reach out to our embassies. This marks the beginning of a new era in the galaxy. One of growth, one of prosperity. One where the Empire is rebuilt to a greater and stronger vision than the Republic could ever hope to be. Long live the Empire!" Her speech complete, Sinistra leaves the podium and disappears into the lobby of the office building she had earlier appeared from.
As the speech ended i stood back and addressed the jedi assembled“ I apologize if i should be focused more on getting Tagira out of the temple at the moment, when I received this message my mind started to race with implications for the galaxy at large. when i came here in the first place, I was under order to try and find out why this academy is currently in a state of abandonment, and if possible find a way to bring new life to this academy. to that end, Master Rawkil, Padawan Karidan, i request your aid.” Turning to the hologram i smiled“ Hello Councilor Jade, For the moment i can assume so. I will say it with more certainty when GALSAF forces have left the Yavin System. Master, while we have this established link, there are two things i would like to bring your attention to. first is an audio file that is my only lead as to the reasons behind the Yavinites disappearance. beyond that, … i assume by this point you have heard Lord Sinistra’s proclamation from the planet of kuat. In light of a new faction joining the fray, I would ask your blessing on those jedi gathered here on yavin being the foundation for a new governance of the Jedi Academy on Yavin.”

Master Rawkill turned his attention to the recording of Sinistra announcing the formation of the Galactic Empire, an act very similar to a number of her forebearers. The Ewok was no stranger to the infamous Sith Lord, since she has appeared on the HNN once before, acting as the Sith's PR manager. Just as before, she proclaimed the failings of her opponents, before announcing the wholesomy goodness that was the Dark Side of the Force and spoke of how the Empire would be free of corruption, so long as a planet's leader was willing to bend their knee to her. Just pointless propaganda, no different then that spouted by any Sith or independant faction seeking power for themselves. Rawkill then turned his attention back to Master Tuhlute, as the man tried making some unneeded excuse about his attention being occupied by a very legitimate threat. After all, a Sith run Empire posed more of a problem to the safety of the Jedi and Republic, than the flimsy whims of GALSAF, and it's commander =Jedi Master Rawkill= I assure you Master Tuhlute, no excuse is needed. 'commander' Tagira and his GALSAF forces have been taken care of. As for helping you rebuild the Yavin IV academy, I would be honoured to help with the reconstruction efforts, even if my duties to the Council of First Knowledge would require me to do so anyway... Rawkill then turned towards the holo projection of Master Jade, a member of the Jedi High Council whom had previously acknowledged receipt of his message regarding GALSAF. He still maintained his previous accusations, despite Ander's pleas of innocence and excuses =Jedi Master Rawkill= For the time being, yes the situation has been stabilized. Republic forces are currently reclaiming all Jedi Temples and have begun repairing the damaged station. Even though commander Tagira proclaims his innocence, I am hard pressed to trust his word, and so a thorough check of all databanks and systems here will be performed to ensure no foul play. I imagine he will take this opportunity to rethink his future stratagem if he intends to take actions on any other Jedi and Republic owned worlds...

Alexis didn't say much. The import of what had happened was almost painfully present to her as she closed her eyes for a moment. A single tear streaked down her cheek as a voice much too old for one so young spoke, "We are out of time then. The Empire is reborn." And there was so much to do. The Jedi Order as a whole was still reeling from the impact of the Mandalorian Force Jihad.
Something else occurred to the young pilot, and the barest hint of a smile twitched at the outer corner of her lips as the image of a bird with its plumage engulfed in flames streaked past her mind's eye. Soon now it would be time to fly.

As Diamonte confirmed the reason behind her contacting the Yavin IV Praxeum in the first place, well, one of the reasons, Jade's holographic figure nodded solemnly as she laced her hands behind her back and paced one or two steps either way within the limits of the hologram generator.
It seems we have a new Emperor on the scene, far more beautiful than the last but perhaps even more dangerous. What is the situation with GALSAF? Is the organization withdrawing from the Praxeum proper?
The Councilor thought a moment before adding:
Councilor Frantz is en route to Yavin IV to aid in the stabilization of the Jedi Academy there.
What is the status of the facility, and have any survivors been located?

i winced when i was asked about GALSAF
“I … am unsure, I should provide my report that I arrived around the same time as Tagira’s troops. in a show of faith i disarmed myself upon meeting them, but in response i was held at gun point and Tagira demanded i hand over my data pad. Something with all due respect Councilor, i would not give to you in the same situation. Tagira then implemented several Backdoor Subroutines and hard disconnected nearly all communication methods out of the temple. I did not hear what their claimed intention was, but If i were to be honest, from what i had seen i would report them attempting to commandeer the temple as a new base of operations for their group. As for their Withdrawal from the Praxeum, Master Rawkill may say that GALSAF is withdrawing… but i will not be satisfied or certain until i can no longer sense any of their troops in the temple…”
Pausing for a moment i turned my back to the hologram to gain a bit of composure, i had not sealed myself within the training arena just because i needed training, but because when i reached the training arena i was sensing something following me trying to intercept me before i reached my chosen destination. this ordeal had shaken me…
“As for condition of the temple… barring a low power output from the generators and whatever physical damage GALSAF caused to external communications the temple seems to be in working order for the most part, Though i would suggest that the temple be put through a complete Technological update and overhaul. i would also suggest security system be overhauled to defend against future attacks on these lines.
As for survivors *i clear my throat* i think Padawan Karidian can give a better assessment of that situation.”
i stepped back and looked to Alexis, I had heard what she had said previous about the empire, but i wanted to see how she would give the report regarding the survivor she had rescued. This temple was more rightfully her’s than anyone currently on the ground. and the only words I could come up with to describe how naturally her aura was in sync with the landscape was that she was Yavin’s princess.

Rawkill nodded in agreement with Master Tuhlute's assessment of the situation, before delivering his own report =Jedi Master Rawkill= I concur with Master Tuhlute's assessment of the situation, as an extension upon this, my men have yet to finish their full assessment of the archives, others temples and the Station in orbit, but for the most part, the situation seems to be repairable for the most part. As for GALSAF, the only presence they still hold is contained to the Hangar Bay, I imagine Master Frantz will be able to handle it, otherwise My troops are on standby and can take care of it...

Alexis finally spoke up as Diamonte motioned her forward.
"Adria Doran has been found. She was trapped in rubble outside the hangar and is currently being checked out by an Emdee in the Medical Center. Aside from trauma and the usual cuts, scratches, and bruises," not to mention losing her home practically, "she will be fine. At least one other has been summoned, though he was not here on Yavin at the time of its fall."
She succinctly finished her report, and stretched out in the Force throughout the Praxeum until called upon again. At some point she would have to face Ander. This was not something she particularly looked forward to, but neither would she flee from it. GALSAF on the other hand, Alexis Karidian would be greatly pleased when they were not within the Praxeum itself. If any of them chose to visit they would be more than welcome to do so, but given recent events and the emotionally charged atmosphere, she felt that would be better at a different time. A familiar Force presence was located in the Hangar currently, vague enough to be unnerving, but enough the same that Alexis forcibly stopped herself from immediately running to see if she was correct.

The hologram bowed slightly.
You and Councilor Frantz are capable of undertaking this overhaul, correct? I am sure Master Rawkill will not mind remaining on site for now in case his assistance is also needed.
Static fizzled through the holographic image of Councilor Jade before clearing up, revealing her to be looking through a datapad quickly before once again gazing at all of them.
This is good news Padawan Karidian. Perhaps it is possible that the Praxeum can be stabilized within a decent amount of time.

I smiled as Councilor Jade basically commissioned me to take on the task of bringing the temple back up to a respectable code.“ You are speaking to one of the founders of the Jedi Technological Enclave & Creative Hierarchy your Grace… you get Mike and I on the same wavelength and watch how quickly this temple gets brought back online… though I would voice caution on attempting to do major work to security systems, or anything beyond patch jobs until we have a chance to ensure that there wasn’t any damage… intentional or otherwise… to critical systems.” I tilted my head a little and tapped the temple nearest to my Cybernetic eye.“ I have it all pictured right up here” I paused for a moment as Councilor Jade and Alexis discussed the rescued jedi, an anxious tear welled up in my natural duct.“ I must beg all of your forgiveness. Councilor Jade, Master Rawkill, yo…. I mean Padawan Karidian. I believe that in addition to the temple being re-established, we also need a bit of stability in leadership. To that end the prior Confrontation with GALSAF has proven… educational. The fact that while he was headmaster at this temple, Tagira had no one to oppose him as far as I can tell, gave him openings to lace the computer with holes that apparently even software updates and securings could not patch… holes that could have overwritten administrative level commands to this temple. To combat this, I would propose that the role of headmaster be balanced by a new position, the Mentor. The being that filled this position would have the authority level of the headmaster, but their job would be to keep the headmaster in check, so that no one in the future may have access to the possible level of corruption that has been witnessed. I would request that the first Jedi installed to this location be Master Rawkill. I would ask that once she has passed her trials, Padawan Karidian be placed as the Commander of the Yavin Station… and I would humbly request that until a jedi of Yavin is ready to take the responsibility, that I be installed as headmaster.” At this point I was sweating Torpedos. Sure enough that I had thought a good bit of this out while I was in the Training arena, practicing my Tutaminis, but I had not proposed this idea to anyone before this moment… even when I asked Rawkill and Alexis for their support I did not explain what I had in mind to do. And if I was truthful with myself, I had yet to fully accept myself as a Jedi Master as everyone else claimed me to be. And in the minute, despite my mind fighting myself on the grounds of self worth… I felt another’s sense of uneasiness within the chamber. Taking a wild guess and clearing my head of worry until I could help Alexis, I stretched out my awareness far enough to sense… another natural presence in the force, another yavinite had returned home. Holding my hands in what some holotoon called “Tigerpose” I sent every ray of peace I had to Alexis I had with in me and silently passed a message to Alexis
<< …Peace… we appreciate from your presence here, but if you feel you are needed else where, take Pixar, take republic troops… whatever you need and go with Ashla's blessing>> I did not say this because I wanted Alexis gone from the chamber… rather something seemed to tell me that she was needed somewhere else far more than she was needed in a stuffy meeting between masters.

A transmission came through on the same comm channel Commander Tagira and Master Rawkill had used to speak before the Jedi's arrival on the moon's surface. It was a verbalized message, not an active transmission, and could be answered by the Ewok Jedi at his own convenience. Jedi Master Rawkill, this is Ander Tagira. My units have amassed a lot of the debris left over by the conflict here. Some of it belongs to Mandalorian forces, others the Jedi. If you have no use for the remains left by Jedi assets, I'd like to take it with us. We can have it processed and used for populations in need on other worlds. Get back to me when you can. The comm channel closed after the message was relayed.

Rawkill nodded as his name was mentioned by Jade. It was indeed his duty to the Council of First Knowledge that required him to stay here and watch over the rebuilding. Rawkill then turned to Master Tuhlute, feeling honoured by the man's recommandation that Rawkill be appointed to the role of Mentor. First it was the CoFK, and now it was additionally the role of Mentor of the Yavin Praxeum =Jedi Master Rawkill= I would be most honoured and humbled to take this position Master Tuhlute. I do support this proposal of yours, not because of the proposed position of mine, but because Yavin needs some form of leadership to assist in it's rebuilding... Rawkill then turned away from the group to send a brief reply to Ander, before returning his attention to the assembled group of Jedi Masters

The hologram of Jade flickered once before stabilizing again. She did not say anything for some time. At one point she nearly disappeared as the hologram projector on Coruscant failed to compensate for a change in the direction of her slow pacing. She waited till it caught up.
I would suggest that you, Diamonte, immediately take up the role of Headmaster. This will fill the power vacuum. If Master Rawkill is willing,
She paused for a moment and looked over at the Ewok.
he can serve as deputy Headmaster for now and aid you in stabilizing the Praxeum. I suspect, Rawkill, that you will still be reporting in to your fellow members of the Council of First Knowledge at regular intervals. Until there is pressing need to recall you to Coruscant, it seems you can achieve the most good on Yavin IV.
A flicker of understanding passed through her voice as she again addressed Diamonte,
The various academies will not be as isolated from the Order now as they have been in the past. If corruption happens, it will be dealt with, you need not worry on that score.

Alexis nodded gratefully to Diamonte, though she did not require Pixar's presence. At the moment she felt like she was needed in two places at once, but the more important call was from the hangar once again. She knew there was a conversation upcoming with Diamonte and probably Rawkill as well, but she also knew the time was not right now.
Silently she edged around the room without disturbing the others and headed out into the corridors of the Praxeum, once again retracing her steps back to the hangar and a presence she'd once thought was gone forever.

i nodded as alexis left and Councilor Jade seemingly promoted me to a sort of interim headmaster. While I believed that those that existed by the pomp of titles should be ones to watched, I felt I needed some oath to take care of this transition of power… as such I grabbed my lightsaber with my left hand leaving it unignited and horizontal like some sort of holy book I raised my right hand to Ashla and said what came to my heart“ I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of Headmaster of the Praxeum of Yavin IV, That I will protect and instruct those place within my charge, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the ideals of the Jedi Order. So help me Ashla.” clipping the saber back on my belt I began to speak once more, this time seemingly with an air of authority behind my words“ Rawkill my friend and Mentor, ahead of us is a long road. firstly we need to bring this temple back to operation… that means running massive rewirings so that in the future communication cannot be cut off so easily, we need to restructure security systems so that it is more aggressive against slicers in the future… and maybe when all that is said and done, can we look to complete the projects leftover that the former administration could not complete… like a galaxy wide Jedi holonet.” suddenly another figure appear alongside Jade“ Masters, we have a Carrack-class cruiser designated the “Refuge” within orbit carrying Former praxeaum Chief Medical officer Dr. Leviathan Rosenfield. I wouldn’t bring this before you except… he is demanding a Kitten or he will not provide Vaccinations against the grey fever…?” i paused a moment and considered the situation, then turning to pixar I stated“ Pixar, time to patch into the yavin database, I need to run a Dossier on Dr. Rosenfield.” with that my trusted droid set to work removing a small chip from a storage compartment he had and placing it on a random chip with much precision. this allowed me to incorporate the yavin database into my access via Starnet, since I had to keep the tech in my upper arm more focus on outgoing communication instead of in-house storage, I relied on communication for my custom HUD recognition software installed within my left synthetic eye. when the system was connected Pixar took on the form of Dr. Levi Rose and my eye scanned him to find the relevant files.“ Let’s see what the good doctor has
- Graduate of Coruscant Medical University, third in his class (Humanoid biology program; 18).
- Graduate of Coruscant School of Engineering, second in his class (Medical Engineering; 19).
- Graduate of Naboo's Royal College of Psychology, second in his class (Therapeutic Counselor Degree, licensed; 21).
- Graduate of Thyferra's College of Pharmaceutical Research, first in his class (24.)"
i turned to rawkill as Pixar’s appearance when back to normal
“ i don’t know about you… but I would like to meet Dr. Rosenfield and run a personal interview before I offer him a job in the academy… which gives us both a reason to depart for the moment.” i smiled.“ Me, to meet with Levi… and you with the force you carry perhaps could instruct Commander Tagira that since he terroristically attempted to cause harm to the temple he and his faction are no longer welcome on the planet of Yavin…” turning to the remaining hologram of Councilor jade I bowed“ Your grace, unless there is other pressing issues you need to discuss, I am afraid I must end this conference for now.”

Rawkill gave a nod towards the hologram of Master Jade. He was certain Master Venci would be able to handle Coruscanti affairs well enough for the most part whilst he was away, although he may request her assistance with the Yavin Archives =Jedi Master Rawkill= Of course Master Jade. I will strive to do my best in serving the Yavin Temple... Master Rawkill then turned his attention to Master Tuhlute, as the newly instated Headmaster took an oath of office, something that he could see perhaps becoming something of a tradition here on Yavin at the very least. He gave a nod of approval as Master Tuhlute then begun taking some charge and some plans =Jedi Master Rawkill= Yes, I do think starting with the rewiring would be good, that really is a bit of a major design flaw in the physical network... And I definitely agree we need to implement some better software measures as far as permissions go and people potentially trying to create overrides in the system again... And then, yes we can move on to other forgotten projects... Rawkill remained silent as Master Tuhlute spouted off a couple tid bits of information regarding Dr Levi Rose. He checked his datapad to see the comms officer had directed the Dr to the Hangar Bay. Rawkill then turned his attention back to Master Tuhlute again, voicing official standing to a goodbye to GALSAF. Rawkill nodded curtly as he put his datapad away =Jedi Master Rawkill= Well, Dr Rosenfield should be landing in the Hangar Bay. As for GALSAF, I will attend to the matter right away... Good Day Master Jade With that, Rawkill gave a bow to the holo projection, before making his way out of the Strategy Center and down through the Temple to the Hangar Bay to deal with GALSAF and it's commander, Ander Tagira

The holographic image of Jade winced just slightly as the semi-disheveled appearance of Dr. Levi Rose's holographic figure appeared within the audio/visual pickup of the transmitter. One black eyebrow arched quizzically as fiery green eyes contemplated him from lightyears of space away. Turning to Masters Diamonte and Rawkill, she half-bowed.
May the Force be with you both.
Jade's holographic image flattened into two dimensions before finally disappearing as the transmission was shut off.
