A place where the key figures of the Empire could meet, the center of the room was dominated by a large holoprojector surrounded a round table where all could sit comfortably. The walls were a grey colour but were covered in red and black banners that held the Imperial Symbol on them. On one side of the room was something equivlant to a very ornate throne with a secret elevator behind it.

*It seems the Xeonon was pleasantly surprised at the decorum Monte maintained. It was, after all, Serennoan custom from one noble to another. Even if Xeonon wasn't the current Emperor, he once held that title. Monte's poise and posture was proper as customs dictated for him to maintain in the presence of one who held such a title.*"I defer to your better judgement as customs dictate. Being a guest on your planet and in your establishment. Please, by all means, lead the way."*Monte bows in the pompous noble fashion again and waits for Xeonon to lead him to the area his has in mind.* This was the first time that anyone had been in the chambers for a while and even longer since the emergency elevator was used. Taking the elevator up Xeonon stood silent, although it was kept secret hidden inside a closet down on the landing pads someone might have stumbled upon it and bugged it. No he was used to keeping things secret outside the Council Chambers. Stepping out of the elevator they were behind the ceremonious chair to the emperor whom they no longer had. Yet. Please take a seat In front of them was the large circular table. Inspired by a ancient story it symbolized that in this room, when they sat down no one was more important than any other. They were all equals. From the lowest knave to the leader of the Empire. The holoprojector at this point was empty with nothing important to show but a blue light was flashing in the center. I am sure a Count would love the equality thing if he knew the story of the round table. I must say I am surprised that you contacted me Count Demici. Although it was rather vague something told me that it was important that I meet with you. He said as he sat down on one of the chairs opposite Monte.

*As they come up from the elevator from the landing pad, Monte is impressed with the decorations. Certainly appropriate surroundings for such a meeting. When they enter and get to their seats, Xeonon sits across from him at a round table as Monte sits when he is offered the seat, removes his outer cloak and sits with perfect posture. This round table meant no one man was more important than the other. Being a stuffy aristocrat from Serenno, he was taught to be commanding of his lessers and respectful to his elders. Since he was the Sovereign Ruler few were at his level, if at all. This was something that Monte didn't wholly put stock in. Blood may make one powerful, but it doesn't mean it guarantees ones position nor does it make the man a great one either. This was something learned the hard way from his cruel Master. While Monte was powerful in the Dark side, he didn't like using it. It was like a drug. It was useful only to a point to achieve some greater purpose. After Monte freed himself from being enthralled to a peasant of a monster, He looked for other avenues of training. Something with a philosophy Monte could get behind. Something like the Imperial Knights. They are weapons, and that is exactly what the Force is. Good or Bad, all use the Force at some point as a weapon. When Xeonon asks him what he wants Monte doesn't waste time stating what he wishes.*
"I am grateful that you met with me on such short notice. I won't waste your time any further. I've come to join the Imperial Knights. I've heard that they use the Force as a weapon. Neither good nor bad in service to their Emperor. This is something I wish to be apart of, honestly. I am no stranger to the Force, but I fear that I've only been trained in one aspect of it. I was told this illustrious Order could provide that. Balance."
*Monte's look is something that is quite serious. Not to be imposing, but rather to convey his sincerity.*
"I am very sure I could be a great asset here. Would you not agree?"

He had been trained to watch peoples movements and ever since meeting the Count he had been sizing him up. The way he walked, held himself and everything. Frankly he reminded Xeonon of the man who once owned him. The air of supperiority was just annoying but he understand it. He had been raised that way no doubt. There was something else, although he couldn't be sure Xeonon thought he could detect the darkside eminating from him
Well you certainly do not fuck around. I like that in a man. You have heard right we dont meditate on it like the Jedi nor abuse its power like their darker counter parts. You are right we can always use a new person and something tells me you are not like most hopefuls, I am willing to give you a shot but before I say more I must let you know one thing. We do not accept failure, since the Knights have been around not one person has failed. The training is hard, the mental aspect even harder. Are you sure you want to do this ?
Its not really the best sales pitch but he never lied. It was something one must consider, more than one person has died trying to get through the training.

*Monte could sense that his stuffy upbringing slightly irked Xeonon. Monte couldn't help it, but what could help is prove himself and quickly. Something Monte didn't like doing was waste a person of importance's time. His Sith Master made sure of that and being a noble made sure of it. Monte had a lot to prove.*
"I find wasting a person's time at best time consuming and at worst disrespectful. As far as the training, I am no stranger to cruel tutelage. My former Master was a Sithlord. As for failing, I cannot and will not. I am the Patriarch of House Demici and Sovereign ruler, there is no room for a weak ruler. Also, as I said, I find wasting a person's time to be disrespectful. I wouldn't dare make a request that I could not fulfill."
*There it was out on the metaphorical table for Xeonon. Something for him to think over. Monte knew Xeonon didn't accept any hopeful coming out of hyperspace who thought they had what it took to be an Imperial Knight. But then again, Monte wasn't just any ordinary hopeful either.*

He couldnt help but hold in a small chuckle. We dont operate on the same level as a Sith. We are an organization and uphold the goodness and blah blah blah do you really care? To be honest he was getting bored of having to give this speech all the time. Normally he would power through it but his impatience was through the roof; not because of Monte but because of the ring on his hand. Given to him by Dragus it has been enhancing the darker portions of his personality and Xeonon was none the wiser. Sorry I dont know what got into me there.
Well you do seem determined and we are always looking for fresh meat to throw through the grinder. ALways a good way to get men. We can start tomorrow, you may want to take the rest of the day to enjoy your time as a free man. Just a word of the wise, the planet has strict rules against weapons. I dont know if you are packing but do not carry them outside this building or you will be well killed. Silly big three rules. After that you will be pushed through the ringer to become one of us.

*When Xeonon's mood darkens, Monte takes notice. He isn't worried about it, but something about it seems off. Even for a first meeting. Monte has seen his fair share of nobility exhibit this type of outburst many a time, so it wasn't unusual. Monte quickly forgets about it and goes over the rules that Xeonon relays to him.*
"As I said, I have no intentions of wasting your time. A day to prepare is perfectly adequate to ready myself to be, how did you put it, 'Run through the ringer?' As far as weapons, I have these....."
*Monte pulls out his Curved-hilt sabers from behind his back and sets them on the table.*
"I'm afraid I can't surrender these. So I'll just stay within the confines of this building."

Go figures, someone with a special blade. Or two. Whatever that would be beaten out of him. Standing up he smiled. Welcome to the Imperial Knights then Count. If you want to familiarize yourself with the area please just let one of the Knights know and they will help you. Now lets go find you a bunk. Personally he couldnt wait to see the look on his face when Monte would see his sleeping quarters. Yes he had been taught by a Sith but he knew of the life style of a Count and well honestly close quarters and no privacy doesnt sound like something he would like.

The doors to the Council Chambers opened as a small squad of heavily armed Stormtroopers with maroon decal appeared. One of among them had significantly different shoulder pads, revealing his commander status. They all snapped to attention when the unnamed commander gave them their orders, barking them sharply and crisply. Moments later, Nicademus Delvardus, Head of State for the Imperial Remnant and Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military, entered the chambers. It was time for yet another meeting with the collective members of the Remnant's government and military. He took his seat upon a heightened dias and began to pull up some reports on economic, political and military progression for the Remnant.

It was then that Xeonon entered the room. Rather than the usual scars on his face, much of the right side had been replaced by machinery. Yet another scar that he had gained over the years of servitude to the empire. This one had been the worst thing to happen to his face, the whole right side having been caved in it was a miracle he had survived. Still fresh from the wounds the bitterness could be heard in his voice whenever he spoke. Sitting at the table the wood groaned under his heavy armour but did not break. Again.

A holo map was what Nicademus was examining when Xeonon walked in. His eyes gazing upon the Core region, where planets in blue represented the Galactic Republic as well as an assortment of other colors. The Head of State sighed lightly, updating the map as NOE planets turned from a crimson color to grey. His eyes turned to Xeonon.
We are once more without any strong allies it seems. And the Imperial Remnant is still in the process of rebuilding. We won't last this way if our cause is stagnate and our government holds no allies nor even trade partners in the galactic community.

Xeonon could feel his pain, before this blessed man had come around Xeonon was in much the same position he was in now. Leading a dying empire. No friends. No allies. No hope. That is the problem, everyone has a jaded view of the empire. Palpatine. Caedus. Hell even Raven. They all ruled through fear and gave us a bad rap and everyone looks over our good sides. Hell the Fels and Palleon have done better than many of the Republics leaders have we need allies that are good in the eye of the galaxy. Shrugging his shoulders he smiled. Or we could just sit here as we have done before and endured, grow fat and stagnant.

Nicademus sighed lightly before reaching over and touching the holopad upon his armrest. A treaty came into view, the Bastion Accords, the document that ended the Galactic Civil War and gave generations of peace between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. His eyes look at Xeonon, gesturing to the document on display.
This might be our only chance at gaining any galactic recognition. The Republic borders us...and if we wish to move into the Core without people thinking we have hostile intents, then we need peace with the Republic as well as a friendship perhaps. The Bastion Accords kept the two nations together in our galaxy's darkest hours. Perhaps it can aid us both in the long run.

With his left hand Xeonon rubbed his forehead, the oils coating his fingers on the gauntlet he was wearing. Standing up he read it over, looking at the different things it outlined. Was he really suggesting what Xeonon thought he was? It was true that they had no qualms with the Republic but they were not friends. More like two of the biggest kids on the block, who would eventually start a fight to see which was bigger. It was the way of things, and no piece of paper would help that. You know, I am pretty sure that became null and void when we attacked the Galactic Alliance. Maybe this was going to be one of those silly timey wimey things. However it was a solid point.
As a precursor to the Sith-Imperial War that had almost taken the Empire to the grave, Roan had attacked the GA. A direct descendant of the Republic. It could be argued that he never wanted to do it, as it was obvious he never threw his full support into the effort and did it to appease the Sith. Its only saving grace, something that may yet help out was the fact that, in the end we sided with our former enemies. Killing Kryat and saving the Galaxy. All in a days work. Do we have any contacts in the Senate? Besides your cousin that is. Fucking Tarkins. I only know Jedi and few at that.

Nicademus knew well of the Imperial-Sith War and the Second Imperial Civil War that followed it shortly after. The Head of State sat there quietly, thinking upon the proposal to the Grandmaster of the Imperial Knights, Nicademus' most trustworthy adviser. He calmly strokes his chin, pulling away the document and bringing up the neighboring space regions outside the Deep Core.
We can easily say that we wish to renegotiate and reestablish the Bastion Accords. The Republic practically surrounds us in the Core region...and I know we have plans to expand towards some of our planned conquests of Balmorra and Borleias. However, if we attempt it, the Republic may think of hostile intentions. It would be wise to keep that from happening.

To bad his counter part wasnt here right now, the head of security for the Empire would already have a half dozen schemes to not only expand in a legal way but to become friends with everyone in the galaxy plus their dogs. He looked up at the galaxy map, almost all of the Inner Core regions were a dark blue. What they owned plus a few neutral planets. Sure they could expand from places like Thule but as said. Hostile intentions. We could always do the victory through peace thing like back in the day. A jest It sounds like a good idea. We should also try to work into it the military aid thing, the galaxy is a dangerous place right now.

The Imperial puts a gold aura surrounding Coruscant through his keypad. He then leans back with a smile upon his face. This could be the progressive negotiations that the Imperial Remnant needed to survive and thrive. He looks at Xeonon and nods.
I will plan a diplomatic mission to Coruscant shortly. Would you and a detachment of the Imperial Knights come as my escorts as well as a full battalion of Stormtroopers?

Nodding he stood up. Again he wished for one who had real diplomatic skills, and more familiar with the way his leader worked. Fiana would have been the perfect choice had she been around, but she had gone off on assignment and not checked back in. MIA is the official listing. A full Battalion? I thought we were going there for peace, don't you think a thousand gleaming Storm Troopers may give them the wrong idea? We don't want to conquer them just yet. Wait until after the Mandalorian offensive. A joke, and a poor one at that but hey when its a long day everyone needs a laugh. When shall I get them ready for and do you have any requests for Knights and a particular set of storm troopers?

The Head of State stood up, feeling a little more free from his chair. He would have to ask for a more comfortable one later. Nicademus paused next Xeonon and patted his shoulder.
I will trust your judgment on who to assign from the Imperial Knights, Xeonon. As for the Stormtroopers, I will lessen the number to around five hundred members of the Imperial Guard, ceremonial decoration, usual armament involving blasters and armor.

Oh goody, looks like he was in charge of the whole enchilada. Nodding his mind already thought of a few choices, some he had to exclude due to their absence. When would you like them ready for sir? An honest enough question, it wouldnt be to hard for Xeonon to get any of that ready. Less than a day considering the amount of men on the ground here, all back logged and held close to the capitol. Have to keep the empire safe from those muscle heads that had sworn war against force users.
