Conference Room
After Admiral Biancardi, a deathly pale, thin, dark haired and tall female grey eyed Nagai dressed in an immaculately pressed CDF uniform, has arrived, I send Pee to notify Riddick of her arrival so that he can meet us in the conference room.
C3-P9, moments after Master Roma has sent him to invite Riddick to join her and the CDF Admiral, shuffles in his stiff-legged gait to the door of Riddick's quarters and, rapping on the door, says in his prissy, refined and perpetually cheerful voice, Master Riddick, I am here to invite you to join Master Roma and CDF Admiral Biancardi in the conference room. If you are not familiar with the location, it would be my pleasure to show you the way. The droid made it to me, just as I had just made it to the door of my assigned quarters. My expression is of modest, though pleasant surprise. That was quick. Normally, I am one for punct, but this is fairly impressive. I open the door and drop my stuff off just past the threshold, before I turn to the droid. Lead the way.

Of course, C3-P9 assures Riddick before, as instructed, leading him to the conference room
The conference room is comfortable without being ostentatious, spartan in decor, and dominated by a circular table located in the center of the room. Admiral Biancardi and Master Roma are standing beside the table speaking together when Riddick and the protocol droid arrive, their postures and expressions indicating that they are, while familiar with one another, not likely to interact much outside of those occasions, such as now, when their respective vocations call for it.
After C3-P9 has made the introductions and asked if any of those present would like any refreshment, Admiral Biancardi is the first to speak. The Nagai's voice, as befits the formal, composed way that she carries herself, is crisp, cool, and professional as she extends a hand to Riddick while saying, "My condolences, Master Riddick, for the losses your people suffered in the First Order's assault on the Jedi Praxeum."

"It was the library, which has since been repaired and replenished with its texts," Jaecyn corrected, politely, "and all that was lost is so easily replaced. All things in our possession that can not be replaced are kept safe, in chambers and vaults that could withstand blasts of even hypernova proportions. Thank you for the concern, however." Jaecyn asked the droid, quietly, for a dram of single-malt (think scotch), as to wind down just a little after such a long flight. "I have come here with the idea of advancing the idea of a trade of some of our technology and training. It is my hope that what we have developed on both fronts would better be able to combat that damnable First Order, if there is more than just us, of the Ysanna, who have it." Jaecyn paused for a moment. "While they have been minimally successful in their strikes on us, their success rate, let alone the raw number of attacks have been substantially less than what others seem to have faced. I believe that it is because they have an idea of what we possess, however little, and an equally small idea of how well we can use it in any situation. And, that has been enough. If we can expand on that, we can see a drastic reduction in F.O. attacks, and may yet turn this combined force against the larger threat that has taken over the Republic as well."

Well, it's no Felucia... Though it's debatable whether or not to call that a good thing. The Chiss considered wryly, his second trip back to his new quarters since the recent transfer from the fungus-infested planet to the more livelihood of Corellia. Red eyes sweeped over the interior of his tidy room; modest with an air of fresh scent left behind cleaning droids whom had everything prepared for his arrival. In the corner, his travel bag and other moved essentials laid unattended and unpacked. Dust had wasted little to no time in providing himself his own tour around the aged Academy the second he left his stuff back here.
With a removal of his own boots, discarded with the rest of his luggage, the Chiss sighed in some relaxation and took a seat in the center of the rather stiff bed, adopting a meditative posture and slowly closing his own eyes. The day was young, but the Jedi Knight had already occupied himself enough to call it a day.
First order of business tomorrow: Buy a new mattress.

"It was the library ... C3-P9 returns to the conference room shortly after Riddick has finished speaking, giving Orsina a moment to consider how best to reply while the protocol droid fussily sets Riddick's requested single-malt down on the table near him, and then sets the steaming mug of tea down near Serrin after it has neatly placed the tumbler of Rywen's Reserve next to where Admiral Biancardi stands.
Lifting the tumbler of whiskey up as though making a toast, Orsina tells Riddck in a dry tone bereft of any trace of humor or jest, turning her waist to include Serrin in the toast as well, "To better combatting that damnable First Order. After taking a sip of her drink, the Nagai refocuses her attention on Riddick, admitting plainly, You have my attention, Master Riddick. The technology and training you mentioned, can you be any more specific about them?" The Ysanna are a Force-sensitive people, and while the CDF might have a few Force-sensitives, documented or otherwise, among their ranks, Orsina does not believe there are many that would be able to benefit from the training Riddick has mentioned if it relies on Force sensitivity; though the question of how many in the CDF might benefit from a the proposed trade is one that Riddck's clarification will more likely than not answer.
"You mentioned a trade, Orsina continues after taking another sip of her drink, What would you ask for from the CDF in return for the technology and training should we accept your proposal?"

"You mentioned a trade, Orsina continues after taking another sip of her drink, What would you ask for from the CDF in return for the technology and training should we accept your proposal?" "Yes. More along the lines of collaboration. The bulk of what I will give in technology is advanced materials, and miscellaneous propulsion and some computer gear, et cetera. What I'm asking is, if your leading shipwrights, aerospace and computer giants are up for it, to send some of your craft our way for refits. As you have different needs upon your ships, fighters, bombers, and like craft... and that our avionics and ship systems are still highly classified, you will have to develop your own. We will, however, help develop the basis for your own advancements and a certain allowance for compatibility, given the differences." Riddick took a pause, and a swig of his drink. "As for the training, it will include various military training programs; an advanced fighter program, asymmetric and guerrilla warfare training. Things that we have learned from our own need to survive on our world due to the 4 millennia dark ages we have suffered. Understandably, knowing that we are a Force sensitive society in the whole, one would be lead to think that the training would be more Force oriented. This is not completely correct, however, though we will offer it for the few among you who are gifted with it. We train to do things first without the Force, before we train with it, in the event we are unable to use it, or that it is otherwise unadvised, impractical, or unneeded." Riddick knew he was putting a lot on the line, and that this would be putting a large demand on him and his people. The hope was, though, that with the training and technology that will be provided, it would kick off a chain reaction, and spread among the Republic and Outer Rim Alliance worlds, the Jedi and Grey Jedi relatively speedily."I will want to start with Corellia first, see what needs to be done, and iron out the rough edges before any of us continue on with other worlds on our side."

Orsina listens intently to Riddick's proposal, finding little to object to and much to appreciate in it after she has listened and taken a moment to turn it around to examine from a few angles in her head. "Given what Corellia and the CDF stand to gain from being where you smooth out any rough edges, she says after taking a sip of her drink, I think I will have very little problem in convincing the CEC to send ships to be refitted,"
Setting her drink on the table, Orsina takes a datapad from its pouch on her belt as she says, "If you've no objection to doing so now, why don't we firm the numbers up a little? How many soldiers and pilots would you be wanting to train? I assume the plan is to train a group, and have that group return and train others? So, would you be wanting to train a fighter squadron, and a platoon of troopers? A company? How soon would you want the training to begin? Explaining the reason for her questions in brief, Orsina says, I will handle the selection of the candidates personally to ensure no red tape has a chance to ground things before they even start, and arrange for their transport to and from Ossus as well. As for the CEC, I'm confident I can convince them of the benefits of participating quickly enough. What kind of ships are you willing to refit? Starfighters alone, or larger ships as well?" Figuring that she has asked enough questions for the moment, Orsina gives Riddick an opportunity to answer them before asking others.

"As many as you can spare, who and whatever you can not will be trained by those who were sent, or rotated through the programs others have previously gone through. Though I would much like to get started quickly, some of the programs I have in mind require a few more members due to differing equipment and tactics. Of all the worlds I seek to enlist in this effort, for example, have pilots that know Imperial TIE fighter tactics and can fly them well in non-imperial craft like the A-Wing. Others, such as us, have captured Imperial hardware. We have dissected a few samples of them, and have made copies, with our best test pilots figuring out how they work and how to fly them. We have also trained some of our best duty pilots to fly them as aggressor pilots for training purposes, such as the red-flag aerospace training program I have planned for allied worlds. I also think it prudent to have a multiple places of training within our realms, to broaden the experience of newer combatants, and refresh that of more experienced personnel. My homeworld, for example, offers a multitude of environments and terrains, and two moons. One that offer low-gee vacuum training and the other that offers above normal gee atmospheric training. The system also includes several other worlds that would have differing gee-forces on fighters and ships in orbit, as well as being adjacent to a massive, interstellar debris field that covers at least a few parsecs. This world be good for learning hit-and-run fleet tactics, stealth and evasive, guerrilla and various other ways of fleet warfare. There is also the added benefit that by not holding it in one spot, we would not, as the saying goes, be 'putting all our eggs in one basket.'" I will handle the selection of the candidates personally to ensure no red tape has a chance to ground things before they even start, and arrange for their transport to and from Ossus as well. By not focusing on one specific area, and instead on everything equally in their own right, we should be able to make every person and piece of equipment mesh nigh seamlessly, regardless of when, where, with whomever, and whatever battle space we take the fight. I look forward to seeing who you send, and how well they will perform." Riddick pulls out a small smoke, the size of a medium cigar, hoping there is no mind that he would partake, before lighting it. Do you mind?

Shaking her head to indicate that she has no objection to Riddick partaking in his cigar, Orsina considers all that he has said prior to responding, "I agree with your reasoning where not putting all our collective eggs in a single basket is concerned. Towards that end, Corellia would, naturally, be willing to host any participants in your proposed training regimen. With its varied terrain, including everything from mountains, seas, plains and jungles, Corellia also has a variety of environments in which to train for multiple combat scenarios that might be useful to Riddick's plans. Given that Riddick has expressed an interest in gathering other participants for the program, Orsina affords him some time to source them in her estimate of how soon she can put together the ships and troops the CDF will be sending to participate, Give me a week or so to put things on my end together, then allows herself an approximation of the distinctive Corellian crooked grin as she adds, I'll do my best to pick pilots and troops that won't disappoint. Looking over to Master Roma, she asks, Can you think of any Jedi that might be . . ."
Anticipating the Admiral's question, I nod and say, "I can think of a few Jedi that would welcome to opportunity to train with the CDF and, I glance towards Riddick, the Ysanna," as I know that there are those here at the academy that seldom turn down an opportunity to further their knowledge of military tactics and doctrine, orthodox and otherwise, or to learn new ways in which to work in concert with Ashla should Riddick's plans include sharing the Ysanna's unique Force skills and training methods.
"Good, Orsina says with a nod, I'll contact you when the departure date is set so that they can report to the ship that will be transporting the first group to Ossus. Looking back to Riddick, Orsina asks, Is a week too soon to have the first group arrive?"

Looking back to Riddick, Orsina asks, Is a week too soon to have the first group arrive?" Looking between both ladies, as he lights up and takes a few quick huffs on his cigar to get it going, Riddick answers back. "Instead of sending over your troops so soon, I propose that we send envoys out from here... along the lines of 'divide and conquer.' If we split from here, and make some overtures to people we trust, have them get on board with spreading the word along with us, we should be able to grow the ranks rapidly." Riddick takes a couple of draws of his cigar. "From there, we should have not only the interest in this, but many other options for where to train, other personnel and equipment to cover the different scenarios, as well enforce a larger swath of territory. Traders and ever smugglers would need not fear their routes changing hands often, if at all, which would also help us in ensuring that material and war supplies would make it to our front lines without revealing so much to the First Order and their supporters. Riddick takes yet another couple of pensive draws, remembering some of his teachings and experience. "If all goes well, and the fruits of our efforts are plenty, we should have a disposition enough to dissuade them from confrontation at the least. Properly projected, we might not even need to fire a shot for them to loose their stomach for a fight, to defeat their plans ahead of a battle. Truly the pinnacle of success." He pauses, taking another draw. "First, however, we need to gather. We need to make this a matter of great import among our friends, and hidden from the First Order. I would suggest taking craft not of any profound military purpose, preferably more along the lines of ambassadorial craft, or minimally armed cargo haulers, as to not arouse suspicion. After all, in war does also lie in the art of deception."

Picking up her drink, Orsina takes a sip as she listens to Riddick explain his ideas on how to move forward with his proposal. Drumming her fingers softly on the side of her glass as she considers how best to reply after Riddick has finished speaking, Orsina nods after a moment, having concluded that Riddick's proposed course of action is sound, saying, "Spread the word and grow the ranks it is then. Glancing over at Serrin, she asks, We can count on you to reach out to the Force sensitive allies sympathetic to the cause?"
"Of course," I reply, already beginning to think of Force sensitive groups that are allied with the Order and who oppose the tyranny of the First Order, and of the ideal Jedi Knights or Masters to reach out to each of them.
Orsina nods, "Good. Setting her drink on the table and tracing the tip of a pale index finger along the rim, she says to Riddick, I can begin by reaching out to the Corellian Council as a start, and am quite certain that the other members of the Five Worlds will all be willing to, as you said, get on board. Starting there will add more envoys to be sent out quickly, covertly as you suggested. Many hands make light work, Orsina concludes before asking Riddick, Where will you be making your overtures? How soon or often do you think we should check in with one another with progress reports?"

There are a few worlds already in a budding Eastern Rim Alliance, and a few more that I would wish to draw in as a prelude to this greater faction we may yet create. I will work my way core ward as I go. As far as checking in, as long as the comms are kept encrypted and bundled within your regular military broadcasts as to not stand out, I will leave that to your judgement." Riddick takes another draw from his cigar as he finishes speaking.

"Well, Orsina says after lifting her drink and finishing the last of it while Riddick laid out his plans for how he would be proceeding, it sounds as though we both have a bit of work ahead of us. Setting her glass down and straightening the cuffs of her sleeves, Orsina asks rhetorically, And there is no time like the present to get started, is there?"
After Admiral Biancardi and Riddick have hashed out a few minor details regarding how and how often they will keep in touch, and the Nagai has exchanged farewells with myself and Riddick, I sit on the edge of one of the windowsills in the room and smile as I say to Riddick, "I think that went rather well, don't you? Having worked with Admiral Biancardi in the past, I know that she will uphold her end of the agreement without fail, and as for my own part, I have already begun to think of how best to find suitable candidates for the training in Force techniques that Riddick had mentioned. How soon, I ask after Riddick has had an opportunity to answer my first question, do you plan on leaving for the Outer Rim?"

"Quite soon, actually. Though I would like to take a moment to compile a list of worlds that we would seek to discuss terms with, and set a meeting point for all combined forces." Riddick takes the final draw of his cigar before placing the stub in an ash tray. "Once we've determined those details, I will have some rest and depart the next day."

Nodding after Riddick's reply, I rest my chin on the back of my right hand while considering Admiral Biancardi's plans as she had lain them out prior to addressing the questions implicit in his reply. "As for the list of worlds we will be seeking to enlist, at least initially, Selonia, Drall, Talus and Tralus will be the first planned stops. Assuming that visiting those four worlds could very well lead, in turn, to other prospective alliances, I move on to the second matter, proposing, Ossus would serve well as the first meeting point, no? As you pointed out, it offers a variety of environments in which to train, and would negate the need for you to dispatch the engineers and other personnel that would be conducting the training and refits."

"Honoghr, Felucia, Yavin, Mon Calamari, and New Alderaan will be my first stops, though Ryloth and Sullust are also of interest. I might also consider Bespin and Kamino for their industries, though I am a bit more reticent to approach them until I am more certain of their allegiances and how best to address it." Riddick also considered that visiting some worlds would lead to others worthy a visit. "Ossus may not be a bad choice for an initial stop, though I would think it wise to hold off on letting the others know until we are ready. Once we have established our core group, we will want to establish how we are to organize and train their forces, what equipment is to be upgraded with what additions. We must also keep our plans, even if only somewhat... fluid. Keep an eye and your minds open to alternatives in the event that even we are compromised, however unlikely that might be." After speaking, Riddick quickly pens an encoded message back home.

Luon So made her way to her quarters with relative ease thanks to the information contained with the datapad she had been given. Entering the spartan room, she shut the door behind her and dimmed the lights before leaning her force pike against the wall and crossing the space to the bed. The most obvious issue with it was the length; no standard furniture would fit a Kaminoan of course, and this was no exception. The next issue was that it was too low to the ground for her to easily get in and out of the bed, a fact which became apparent after she sat on the edge of it to test how comfortable it was. Other than those two issues, however, the bed was comfortable and would do its job so Luon So sent a quick message to Jared requesting the needed adjustments to her quarters as well as some additional sets of clothing before setting the datapad screen down on the desk, disrobing, and curling up on the bed. She would need to be rested in the morning, and after the events of the last few weeks she was looking forward to some good sleep even if she had to curl into a ball to get it.
Rest eluded her, however, plagued as her dreams were by dark visions of her escape from Tipoca City. Luon So had been trapped in her own body, unable to control herself or her actions as a twisted version of her flight played out before her. After hurling the guard outside her cell into the far wall she had callously impaled him with his own weapon, and then when she was confronted by the guards at the landing pads she had killed them with ruthless ease after hurling them away from her. The worst part, however, had been that she had not run desperately for the nearest ship as she had in real life. Instead she took her time, investigating her options and casually slaughtering any additional guards who were sent to detain her. What finally shook her free from the realm of nightmares had when she had glanced at one of the city's rain-soaked windows and seen her own blood-soaked reflection glaring back at her with angry, orange-tinged golden eyes. The sight of her twisted doppelganger woke her with a startled gasp as she shot up in bed, her breathing heavy and her bedsheets soaked with sweat. It was too warm for her in here, and too dry; with a yawn she pushed herself out of bed and adjusted the climate controls before curling back up on her bed to try and sleep, hoping that she would be able to rest again before the morning came. Unfortunately images of what she had seen plagued her thoughts and kept her from sleeping as she inevitably tried to make sense of what she had seen.
Her doppelganger had seemed so powerful and confident as she strode effortlessly among the bodies of those who had once tormented her, yet at the same time there was something about the anger and darkness which Luon So had felt as her reflection looked back at her that made her feel uneasy. She wished that she could be as strong as that other woman, that she could show the administrators how wrong they had been to so callously cast her aside, but there was just something about the violence of the acts that left her feeling queasy. After an hour of laying there, looking across her room at the force pike which had already taken one life, Luon So finally drifted off into a light, restless sleep. She woke late in the morning, her eyes still heavy and weighed down by bags that made it obvious how poorly she had slept. Dragging herself out of bed, she dressed quietly before leaving her quarters. The force pike remained behind, leaning against the corner of the room near where it had originally been left the night before. She would not need the weapon for her studies with the healer, and after the dreams she had experienced she wasn't as keen to carry it as she had been the day before.

Tchun, my left lekku, swings and curls around the side of my hip as I nod to agree with Riddick's advice that we refrain from deciding, for now, exactly where and when the training will take place should our efforts to recruit participants succeed. The worlds he expresses an interest in visiting in search of participants includes many allies or former members of either the Republic or past coalitions that Corellia had been a member of, boding well for our endeavor as it is unlikely that any of them would not have a vested interest in strengthening the odds of opposing the First Order.
"Unlikely or not, as you say it is best to minimize the chances of the enemy learning anything that could hinder our efforts. For now, then, the focus will be on learning which of the worlds we will be approaching with the proposal will commit to participating. Once we have a more firm grasp of the scope of things, we can revisit the subject of where the initial training and so on will occur; and perhaps we could even have more than one such location. As you said earlier, best not to have all the eggs in the same basket."

"Then we shall start rallying the troops, starting first thing tomorrow as I will need to rest before making the long haul back to the Outer Rim. I would also recommend meeting somewhere in the middle, that I make my way core ward, as you make your way rim ward." Riddick takes the finishing swig of his drink upon finishing his statement. "Another point... Information and intelligence are key. I think it best that one of us jump on enlisting Bothawui's aid very early on. I also have a few contacts that I will call in, see if they are willing to offer their silent service." Riddick sets his glass aside, once he finished.

Pursing my lips in thought after Riddick has spoken, taking a moment to consider who best to task with endeavoring to secure Bothawui's participation in the effort Riddick has come to set in motion, I am silent for a moment before I say, "I believe one of our Investigators has contacts in the Spynet as well as within the Council on Bothawui that make them an ideal candidate to send to enlist their aid. With, I lift a hand and gesture towards Riddick, the silent service of your contacts and of our Investigators, garnering the support of the Spynet would greatly improve the odds of securing actionable intel and information, hmm? Smiling apologetically, I rap my knuckles on the table and tell Riddick, Which, I am quite sure, you had already considered long before now, no?"
Motioning towards the door leading back into the academy halls, I ask, "You remember where the dining hall is in case you would like to grab something to eat before you rest, yes?"
