I was never meant for such a high seat, Prime Minister. I did my duty for the Republic and the Galactic Alliance before, but I tend to try to keep my face... less out of the public and more behind the scenes work. The public can somewhat be intimidated by the eye-patch.Graemon gestures to the piece of cloth that wrapped around his right eye. He was definitely a strange one for not getting something mechanical like an optical eye as a replacement. Having been offered countless times by doctors, during his recovery, the Fondorian fervently refused time and time again. Valerian, who had been greeted by the Prime Minister, glances at his brother momentarily before turning his attention to Jacques.=Valerian= Prime Minister, a pleasure to meet you. I am Baron Gorgano's younger brother, Valerian Gorgano. I serve as the Chairman for Fondor's Guild of Shipwrights. My brother here has kept me quite busy on Fondor, so it is a privilege to get away for a moment. That was a real shame, Jacques found the eye patch rather dashing, and gave him far more character than many of the other people milling around him tonight. I can't say I blame him for keeping you there. When I arrived in system the whole of the Navy was in bad shape made up of nothing but survivors from Imperial attacks. How goes the work on The Redemption? Graemon took notice of how quiet Doctor Jameroo was. Maybe she was waiting for an introduction, either one presented by herself or presented by another among them. Graemon decided to take the initiative. He motions to Lynne, offering her to come up and join with those present, letting her into this small gathering with the Prime Minister. The Baron, while gesturing to Lynne, would have his gaze fixated on both the Prime Minister and Admiral Hargrave.Gentlemen, allow me to present Doctor Lynne Jameroo, Captain of the Endless Salvation. She is one of the leading doctors in handling the refugee crisis that we have been doing our best at tackling. She brought the people's concerns personally to my attention, something that we should recognize. Her initiative and dedication to the homeless and sick has ensured they are being taken well care of today. Before he could thank Doctor Jameroo for solving one of the Coalitions most pressing issues he was embraced. Now it was his turn to blush. He had spent much of his life with his nose in his books and once he was older everything revolved around his career. Now at age 53 it wasn't to often he had beautiful women coming up and hugging him.You are as much a hero as anyone here Doctor. What the Vice Admiral and I did was just part of our duty. What you are doing here with the refugees is far greater. Everyone wants to escape from the First Order and the thousands of people who are fleeing owe their current situations to you.

Still blushing wildly as the attention was even more focused on her. But then she felt the strong hand of the Baron rest on the skin of her back and she got goose bumps. Giving a sly smile to the Baron she finally looked back to the rest of the party. She realized that no one was truly upset with her, but she was still red, for different reasons though.
=Lynne= Thank you for saying so. Though I would still be stuck in bureaucratic hell if Baron Gorgano wasn't such a good listener.
She scooted surreptitiously closer to the Baron, so that he would be in a position to let his whole arm around her back. She also managed to snag a fresh drink from a passing waiter.
=Lynne= But I have to say, with the crises getting less and less of, well, a crises, I'll be needing another task to keep me busy... and in such pleasant company.
She toasted the group as a whole but offered a wink to Graemon.

I can't say I blame him for keeping you there. When I arrived in system the whole of the Navy was in bad shape made up of nothing but survivors from Imperial attacks. How goes the work on The Redemption? =Valerian= On my arrival to the planet, I was able to speak with the crews dispatched from Fondor as well as other shipwrights invested in the Redemption's refurbishment. We were able to scavenge some of the technology utilized by the First Order, but no information can be gained... the archives are a complete mess and hard to crack. It seems these Imperials are highly advanced, given the state of this warship and the technology within it.Shame, so much could be learned and utilized if any useful information was found. The weapon systems are in place and being configured to the new consoles and systems we have replaced with any busted tech from the fight this vessel endured. We have gotten oxygen to much of the ship and have begun work on her reactors and shielding. It may take another year before it is fully optimal, Prime Minister.Still blushing wildly as the attention was even more focused on her. But then she felt the strong hand of the Baron rest on the skin of her back and she got goose bumps. Giving a sly smile to the Baron she finally looked back to the rest of the party. She realized that no one was truly upset with her, but she was still red, for different reasons though.=Lynne=Thank you for saying so. She toasted the group as a whole but offered a wink to Graemon. The words of Doctor Jameroo confirmed the suspicions of Valerian Gorgano as well as the proximity between her and his brother, the Baron Gorgano. All before them could easily see it and Valerian suspected the press would be all over this. Baron Graemon Gorgano and Doctor Lynne Jameroo, Captain of the Endless Salvation... an item! The Fondorian looks at those gathered, wondering how their reactions would be to this.
Graemon acted as smooth as possible, like as if he had anticipated this. Surprisingly, he was good at anticipating fleet maneuvers and troop deployments, but not in this case. He was still getting used to human interaction beyond that of the professionalism he experienced in the military. Yet, his hand did not move and remained where it was as he quietly took a sip from his drink. To her compliment, Graemon looks at those gathered. The people need their voices to be heard after all. As much as I do not like the politician life I have retired to from my career in the military, I must do my duty and let the people be heard. Otherwise, we will fail like the Galactic Alliance before us.

A hoverlimo pulled up to the estate, drawing attention of the news organizations that were assembled at the entrance way. Many curious as to which dignitary or guest had dared arrive to this event late, given the party was well and truly in the swing of things. As a security guard opened the door, Marcus emerged from the vehicle dressed in his usual black pinstriped suit. Giving a quick wave to the camera's before moving to the side, reaching down as a woman's hand emerged from within the vehicle. Sahra elegantly managed to exit the vehicle in a formal deep purple dress matching her Father's shirt. Her arm slipping through Marcus' as she gave a smile and wave to the camera's You certainly seem to be enjoying yourself...
Come now Father... It's all part of the job. People need to be given hope by seeing those in charge smiling...
You certainly got your Mother's wits about you... Try to stay close...
Of course. She gave her Father's forearm a light pat before he lead the way into the estate, passing through the security checkpoint. His gaze scanning the assembled crowd, before settling upon what appeared to be something of a gathering crowed around the newly elected Prime Minister of the Coalition. Figuring it was best to pay his respects to the man of the hour first, he lead the way across the party to the gathering. Noting the presence of Chase Hargrave and Valerian Gorgano alongside a particularly close Graemon Gorgano and Lynne Jameroo. A smirk forming as the many rumors he had heard flying around were confirmed. No wonder Graemon had been so appreciative of the FedDub's willingness to take in some of the refugee's that had been pouring into the Corellian System. Marcus came to a stop just to the right of the group, his attention upon Jacques Congratulations on your appointment Prime Minister Hu... Allow me to introduce my daughter, Sahra. Princess and Representative of the FedDub to the Coalition... Sahra gave a graceful bow to Jacques It's a pleasure to meet you Prime Minister... Marcus then turned his attention toward Lynne And you must be Captain Jameroo... It is a pleasure to meet you at last my lady... Baron Gorgano spoke quite highly of you...

It seemed like Lynne would never get an end to her blushing as the leader of the FedDub addressed her directly. She gave a respectful bow, but not before a smile and glance at Garemon, as if to say light heatedly "How much have you told?"
=Lynne= It is kind of you to say so, m'lord. And I have heard many great things about you, yourself. And may I say, Princess, you look incredible. Your dress is lovely!

The corner of Jacques mouth quirked up and he suppressed the laugh that formed behind his lips. I am sure any number of people could have told you about the sophistication. Looking around the group of people talking here more than half of them had seen the ships in action at some point. The sooner the better, I don't talk about them much but my family has access to a minor shipwright back home. It is nothing as compared what is above us now but I am sure I could twist their arms and make them help. And get filthy stinking rich off such a government contract.
Before he could continue he was distracted by a commotion at the door. It seemed that Marcus had decided on making an appearance and the room once more became abuzz. Nodding his appreciation at the kind words he shook his head. As I already said to the baron here, this has all been accomplished thanks to you. All the sleepless nights the two of you put in. This night may be a celebration of my election but I know the true heros of tonight.
Reaching out to gently shake Saharas hand The pleasure is mine... Princess? There were a lot of titles to be learned and although he knew that Sahara was a Senator if her father was a King well he wasn't sure which title to use.

And get filthy stinking rich off such a government contract. =Valerian Gorgano= We have been moving necessary equipment and personnel from Fondor and Tallaani shipyards from the Tapani Sector to ensure the warship is properly rebuilt for ship-faring status, Prime Minister. You need not worry. However, I must inquire, some of the new personnel for the ship have been making inquiries as to who will command it for the Coalition Navy. Have you given it some thought?============================== Your Excellency, its good to see you join us.Baron Gorgano remarks as he takes notice of King Starmane and his daughter.I am rather surprised that you didn't earn more votes during the election. I thought it would have been a neck and neck race between you and the Prime Minister for the position to lead the Coalition. After he had dropped out early, Graemon's removal voluntarily had resulted in the list of possible contenders for the Prime Minister position being shortened to a relatively select few. Among them being Admiral Hargrave, Marcus Starmane, and Jacques Hu.============================== Lynne JamerooAs the conversations resume around the Prime Minister, the Fondorian hears music begin to be played as people began to congregate nearby to dance. Courtesy of the House of Solo, a fine band had been put together to entertain the people tonight. Music was always a good way to add to the atmosphere. Graemon looks at Lynne for a moment before nudging her arm slightly.I haven't danced since a gala back on Fondor many years ago. Do you know how to dance by chance?

Sahra smiled and nodded in response to Lynne's compliment Why thank you Captain, you look absolutely amazing! Marcus smirked, catching the look that Lynne gave to Graemon. He had seen that look before when his wife had been taken by surprise at dinners similar to this Many great things might be a stretch Captain... I am merely a facilitator for those that lack the resources necessary to achieve something on their own... Speaking of, perhaps I might borrow you from the Baron's side for a few moments? I assure you, I have every intention to return you to it shortly... Sahra returned her attention to Jacques then, as the man greeted her Thank you Prime Minister, and please, feel free to refer to me as Princess tonight. Once the government takes session, then we can worry about calling me Senator... Marcus conceded a laugh as Jacques spoke of Graemon and himself being the true heroes of tonight I'd hardly call myself a hero... We all do what we must for our people, and for freedom... He then turned back to Graemon Yes, well, try as I might, my Daughter insisted we did not miss tonight... As to the votes... I have no grand ambitions to be at the center of attention for the Coalition. I have more than enough to deal with between Talus and Tralus...

I know tonight is meant to be a celebration, but I admit I had some ulterior motive for appearing tonight... Specifically to speak with you about a proposal I have in the works. And being that you have become something of the public face for the current refugee crisis... Well... Having your support would go a long way... There are still many refugee's without proper homes and solid futures. Something I am hoping to change...

Sipping on a drink, Lynne listoned as she heard what the King had to say. She was very excited as the topic turned to refugee housing.=Lynne=Really? Now came the interesting partWell, the FedDub has certainly opened its borders to the refugee's that Graemon asked us to welcome in. But it does a displaced people no good just sitting around crammed into camps that cannot possibly support them in the long term. An undeniable truth... And since we have no idea when these people might be able to return to their original homeworlds, I would like to put forth a plan to accept more refugee's across Talus and Tralus... With the intention of constructing a handful of new cities for these people to live in. What they need is a sign of hope that life can return to normal. And offering them jobs, income, and homes is a good start... So, what do you think Miss Jameroo?

Perhaps even oversee it. The Media... they see people like me and the Baron, but the people? those Refugee's? they see you, they care about you. Who knows, perhaps this might inspire other worlds to do the same...

He smirked as she stated that it sounded too good to be true. Nor did he blame her for thinking that. After all, he was a politician with a bold plan that could change thousands of lives for the better. Things were never quite as straight forward as they sounded when pitched like that. He took another sip of his drink You are smart to be suspicious... I'll admit that it is an ambitious plan, which is why I will be petitioning the Coalition for a small grant to assist in affording it all... And why I would like you to oversee it. Separate the policy from the politics...

Thinking on what King Starmane had said, Lynne swirled the liquid in her glass.
=Lynne= That sounds like quite the task to hand over to a doctor/captain. Even if I am a more inspiring figure, surely their are people more qualified to lead this initiative?

She pulled back after a couple seconds and smiled broadly at him. That definitely got the attention of practically everyone around them, especially Graemon. In truth, he had anticipated this. After all, this was their first kiss in public, but, in truth, this was probably the twentieth time done. As she kissed him, he could see the journalists getting as many shots as they could before the kiss ended. He could only imagine the headline that went with the pictures they took.
Graemon joins in with the kiss though, letting the two enjoy this moment together. Although, this was a public showing to all. After it was all done, the Baron looks at the broad smile of Lynne, the Fondorian smiling himself and chuckling.I can only imagine what headline will be with the pictures the news took.Lynne was becoming a constant and welcomed companion. Certainly though, the kiss viewed by all confirmed their relation. Graemon stands with her for a moment before going back to dancing. This time, they were a bit closer together.I am glad we aren't shying from what we are becoming towards each other. In truth, Lynne... I felt I have been missing on something like this all my life. Thank you for opening my eyes so that I may share these moments and bond with you.
