I'll tell him what we're working on, but there could be plenty of NPC slavers, or common people to rescue for him to work on. --Update-- I sent him the following PM. Hey man, just to let you know, we've got a pre-planned story arc going on here that we need to finish. Crom'nen has to finish his convo, then he's going to fight some pirates. He's going to pretend to claim to work for them in exchange for the Exchange leaving Ryloth. He's going to offer them Core worlds. Anyway, I need you to not interfere with this. There would be, however, plenty of work for you. Buildings have collapsed on people who need dug out. Slavers that have been in hiding are making desperate pushes on refugees. Oh, and the Twi'lek people (as you've seen in orbit) are angry and blame everyone. On the ground, they are assuming all non-Twi'lek are slavers, and attacking, so you also have that to watch out for. I could even send a squadron to attack you. Give you any ideas for anything you'd like to do? In the mean time, le's get this convo over as quickly as possible. |

It all hinges on what Rob wants to do, but I'll ask him. If I don't hear from him in two days, we'll run the story and go on with the killing of NPC's and talk about ending hostilities and cooperation with the Exchange. Sound good?

So what? He left and didn't return for months. Umm, I'm fine with being excluded here, but why do you say I didn't return for months? I could have returned within few days.... It won't make much difference as far as Character development goes, though I was looking forward to writing with y'all since I was unable to the first time. If y'all would rather I not participate, that's fine, I'm just not sure why I can't have returned until months later... |

I just get the feeling that if I tried to dictate the timeline of another writer's PC I'd be the subject of an Infraction report... and so would like to know what reasoning Dred used to deduce that Shihab "didn't come back for months." I honestly just want to know how he arrived at that conclusion.
I'll gladly work with the mandated timeline, ignoring any actions of exchange characters as befitting a separate SL, because I'm just looking to develop my character some more and I don't have any need for him to interact with the exchange or its affiliates to do so. Whatever answer Dred deigns to give, it won't have an effect on my character's actions, I'm just naturally curious and a little annoyed that he decided to dictate my timeline for his own convenience, and so would like an answer to my question.

To be fair Dred, from an outside perspective here, it seems like you overreacted too. This isn't a closed RP. It's an open forum website. You assumed he would try to interfere, but he's willing to work with us.
Just to be clear: I'm not taking sides, because I don't really think anyone is at fault here. It's just a misunderstanding that is now over.
