*The operation may have taken hours, but that meant nothing to Jake, who only stood and observed the whole ordeal. He kept his hands busy by jotting down any notes he could upon his datapad, mostly techniques, equipment, and medical supplies used. He was mostly doing this as a bit of a distraction, to keep from his worrying thoughts overtaking him. It all seemed so intense, so in-depth, and Jake wanted to be able to do it all himself someday. Well, maybe not himself, especially since having another medic at your side would have been very helpful. He now and then looked at his notes, hoping they were accurate; he'd have to check with Doctor Shaewe later to be sure of their accuracy.
Oh, he sure hoped Kory turned out okay...
At the end, it seemed they had her at least stabilized, and ready for transport to a bacta tank. As the doctors and droids prepared to move Kory out, Jake took that to mean it was time for him to leave as well. He made sure he had all of his things gathered, then kept the datapad close to him as he left the observation area and caught up with the doctors; it seemed like Kory would be okay, which relieved him, but he still felt compelled to ask for sure as soon as he had a moment to.*

It was a couple of weeks after his return from Umgul with his fiancée and according to her, he was still the head of cardio, and she had not found a suitable replacement for him while he had been away. Ares had blinked a couple of times when she announced that to him and truthfully he had no idea if he could get back on the saddle without trouble at all. Conquering his apprehension though, he had decided to be on call in the emergency section of RDMC, wearing his light blue/green scrubs and lab coat, stethoscope hanging around his neck as he figured that perhaps nothing would happen, but how wrong he was especially when he heard over the announcer.
ATTENTION, CODE BLUE! ROOM 219, EMERGENCY PERSONNEL, CODE BLUE, ROOM 219
... And Ares had to think that nothing would happen, right?
Looking up and glancing nearby seeing that the room in question was at the other side, he quickly ran in that direction already he was consulting the datapad that contained the charts of every patients that had been admitted here. Speeder injuries and currently in a coma, well that wasn't good at all. Rounding a corner and seeing that others were headed there as well, Ares had entered the room and looked at the nurse right there. "Charge at two hundred volts." Ares said as he waited, he started pumping the patient's heart with his own hand to allow for the defibrillator to be charged.

"Yes doctor!" Nurse Chloe purred as she saw Dr Solaris rush in, before she attended to charging the defibrillator, having already gotten the machine out and ready to go when she had arrived to the room a few moments earlier. Although Chloe was the more reserved of the two eldest sisters of the Roseheart family, she couldn't help but appreciate a fine male specimen like Ares Solaris, especially considering how easy on the eyes he was, even if he was engaged to one of her bosses. That wasn't to say she had any thoughts about taking things to a physical level like her sister might, but it didn't stop her from admiring his hollywood looks, as the machine indicated it's readiness "ready when you are doctor!"

Ares did a double take upon hearing the nurse's voice and thankfully he recovered quickly. Turning to look at the woman who had prepared the defibrillator, Ares grabbed the paddles and let the nurse apply the gel on them before he rubbed them together and meticulously place them on the patient's chest. "Clear!" Sending a jolt onto the patient, the monitor did spike showing a sign there, but it wasn't continuous and it was still flatline a second after. "Again." Waiting a few seconds to recharge, Ares sent another jolt and thankfully this time it worked. Letting out a sigh of relief, Ares put the paddles down and grabbed his stethoscope to listen to the patient's heart.
That sound, the patient's heart was beating too fast, and that wasn't good at all especially when still in a coma. "Add some procainamide, to slow his heartbeats." Ares told the nurse with a warm smile before grabbing the patient's chart there at the foot of the bed to add that he had order the addendum of procainamide a local anaesthetic-like drug used intravenously to control heart irregularities by its action to diminish the excitability of the conducting bundles in the heart muscle.
Once done, Ares looked at the nurse who name tag he finally read, and he inclined his head knowingly and gratefully. "I don't think we have ever officially met, but it's nice meeting you, Nurse Roseheart, I am Ares Solaris." He told her after they had stepped out of the room. He smiled once more and looked towards the room and inclined his head. "Thank you for the assist right there."

Chloe had nodded and proceeded to administer the procainamide as instructed by Ares, before following him out of the room and offering a warm smile in response to his greeting and thanks. Although she had yet to meet him officially, Chloe had heard of Ares before now, and had actually been asked by Alisha to keep an eye on Ares now that he had returned to work, after his recent absence. But just because he was taken, did not mean Chloe could not have a little innocent fun with him, as she offered her hand for him to shake, purring at him once again "You can call me Chloe, handsome. And I am always happy to assist you Doctor... Perhaps I can join you on your rounds?"

Ares was surprised, not that he showed it outwardly, but he was surprised. He was used to being called good looking by Alisha, but other than that, truthfully, not that he was fishing for compliments, he didn't find himself of the sort. Perhaps he was his own critic, but clearly he did not feel as such and whatever.
Needless to say, Ares smiled warmly and amiably at her before including his head. "Chloe, it is." Ares said with a faint nod, and usually he would be the first one to tell anyone to call him by his name, but in this case, he just wanted to keep their rapport professional and not dive in straight to first name basis. "Sure, why not, I have a few hours to go and just need to tour the rest of this corridor." Ares explained with a warm smile yet again, before he started to walk after gesturing to her which way he was headed.
Now that the code blue right there had been fixed, he was thankful that nothing worse had happened, he picked up his datapad, to check which room he had to visit but that didn't matter currently for he wasn't strictly on a schedule, he just figured that he might get to know more of the nurse he was with. And yes, if he admitted it out loud, he would say that she was easy on the eyes and very attractive, but again, he just needed to keep their rapport a professional one. "I don't recall you being here before, been here long?" He asked with genuine curiosity as he finally headed towards one of the rooms there and he picked up the chart to check on the patient's progress but before even glancing at that chart, he was still looking at her with a smile.

Chloe gave a nod, before following Ares, a devious smirk briefly gracing her lips, before just as quickly disappearing back to a normal smile, as she walked up behind him, pressing her chest against his back as she read the chart from over his shoulder, resting her chin there as she did so. She lifted her head a little and turned to regard him as he asked his question "Oh, not that long. A few months at most. Sarah foudn this place, and me and my younger sister soon joined not long after..." As she spoke, a keen observer would notice the flat, heart shaped tongue ring she wore, which appeared to have some engraving work on it to look like a metallic rose heart. In truth, it was the family crest of the Roseheart sister's, or atleast, the one they had adopted "I can't say I've seen you around before either. You get back from holidays recently?"

Ares slightly stiffened upon feeling Chloe's proximity but he figured that perhaps that was how she just interacted with people, and there was no harm there, right? So Ares just brushed that off and turned his head to be able to look at her. Things he noticed, her chin was resting on his shoulder and she had a tongue piercing, something that he was very familiar with considering his fiancée did have one too.
"Um..." Blinking a few times and looking back at the chart to try and collect his train of thoughts, Ares wrote on the pad there to inform whomever else that he had come through and just slightly stepped forwards to check on the substance in the machine and also the heart monitor of the patient. Finally something he could think about, or at least reply to. "I was indeed away for a year, a sabbatical if you will and yeah, just came back from holidays recently." Ares smiled once more and looked at Chloe for the longest time, "By the way, could not help but to notice your piercing, fitting with your last name." Ares sincerely said as he started to walk out of the patient's room just trying to keep this situation under his control at least.

Chloe flashed Ares a wicked grin as he seemed to stiffen, perhaps a sign of something else going on as well. She proceed to follow Ares close as he moved about the room. She was having a bit of fun with him, but she knew the boundaries, even if part of her wanted to see him shirtless, and running her tongue across his abs. But such thoughts were hidden behind her sweet smile as she listened to his answers, continuing to follow close by as he headed out of the room and asked about her tongue ring "Indeed it is quite fitting. It's actually the family crest of me and my sisters... But it's good to have you back from holiday, always nice to have a little eye candy... Especially one so talented..."

Ares was unsettled to say the least, but he was also amused by the Nurse's blatant come-on. He just continued to look at Chloe with a knowing smile inclining his head as a thanks for the explanation to her tongue piercing. "Even better." Ares replied knowing that for some, family crest meant a whole lot to people, he even had one too. The tattoo of a Phoenix that when from his scapular to his front right to his pecks.
But that tattoo was slightly visible due to his v-neck scrub shirt despite the med lab coat he was wearing. Checking at the chrono on the wall there, he knew that he still had to finish his round but that would take up not a lot of time anyways, and so he just looked back at Chloe with a knowing grin. "Talented? I don't know so much about that, it feels like I have lost my touch, so revisit that adjective in the future?" He suggested, he had not been in an operation just yet, and he still had that little apprehension which was why he wanted to take the whole process slow despite his fiancée putting him back to where he was right before leaving. The head of cardio, but anyways, that was a story for another time. "I believe that perhaps a little break would do us some good, any places you'd recommend to have some bad coffee here?" He asked jokingly and playfully. The coffee here wasn't that bad, but it could indeed be better anyways.

She winked as she looked down at his hands in that moment "Oh, I don't know about that, your touch seems just fine" She giggled before listening to his next question. There really was only one place Chloe could think of to get anything from, as she walked over to a door way. She turned around, grabbing one hand against the frame of it, as she leaned away from it slightly, her free hand running around the back of her neck and pulling her hair free. It was one of a number of stances she used when pole dancing in her off time, to attract eager customers "Well, I can't say I know of anywhere other than the cafeteria, so perhaps there?"

Ares smiled abashed, and really did not know what to say right that instant, so he just settled for that plain, old, and stupid, "Umm, thanks...?" He did say that with uncertainty for he really had no idea what else he could say, though he figured that it was a compliment but at the same time, he really had no idea how to respond to that.
And then there was that move of hers, it was sensual, that much he granted it, and of course he did stare but again, he already was with someone, though if he was honest with himself, and honesty wasn't something he was ashamed of if it were any different setting, he could have complimented her then and there, he could have said something, but it all came down to him already being taken and also him already happy with the person he was with and also he did not want to hurt Alisha more, he had already done that, and he also knew that if he messed it up now, he no longer would have any chance and this situation was very different from when he had disappeared anyways.
Snapping out of his thoughts, when Chloe gave him that cafeteria idea, or suggested it, Ares nodded and smiled warmly, he figured he would just keep this approach and be friendly but not too friendly, and set that invisible defense that wouldn't get him burnt. "The cafeteria, it is, why not, can't say I have ventured there a lot of times and maybe, it got better from before." Extending his arm towards that direction, he smiled once more and inclined his head. "Please lead the way, for with my luck I may lead you in the wrong direction."

MZ-003, or better known by his alias 'Zeke', stood at an impressive 7 inches tall. In comparison to his brothers, he was average heighted, which would have sounded weird when said aloud. But then, it was more to do with the fact that the exact circumstances of his creation needed explaining. Zeke was a clone, one of four such clones that had been created here at the RDMC. Since then, they had received training from their original, known as Zion Morviael. It was to him, that Zeke pledged his ownership. But it was to Chloe Roseheart, whom he was currently looking down upon from a vent nearby to where she stood, that he pledged his heart. It was an interesting dynamic that he and his brothers had. They belonged to a small handful of people, and their allegiance was with them, but they could also fall in love with someone else entirely. Of course, it was an unusual kind of love. Being 7 inches tall, meant that he couldn't exactly be with Chloe in the way someone normal sized would.
There was certain advantages afforded to him because of his size, and should Chloe ever permit him, he would show her. But he could never properly fulfil her. He knew that would fall to someone one day, but until then, he had every intention of watching over her. Thus it was, that Ares Solaris had drawn his ire on this day. Whilst he knew that Ares was a taken man, and that Chloe was merely toying around with him, it did not mean he was any less jealous. Seeing an opening, he activated the vent cover, which opened up, before Zeke leapt forth from it. For him, it was like base jumping, as he sailed through the air, using the force to guide his descent, before slowing himself down as he dropped safely down the front of Chloe's top. Her boobs provided the final soft surface for him to land against, before he righted himself.
His head appeared from the opening in her shirt, as he steadied his footing in her bra. His gaze then drifted up to meet Ares', as he glared at the man. No doubt this was probably one of the most bizarre things he had ever seen. But Zeke didn't care, he was going to mark his territory, just in case Ares perhaps got an untoward ideas concerning Chloe. He then smiled, as he turned slightly and look up at Chloe
"Sorry for unexpectedly dropping in. I hope you don't mind me joining you?"

Chloe was quite amused by the reactions she was drawing from Ares. There was nothing quite like seeing him react to how flirtatious she was with him. But he managed to get out an affirmative in response to her suggestion of the cafeteria. It was then, that she noticed Zeke free fall through the air. She had met him a few months ago, back when Tara had been involved in his creation. She had taken quite the liking to him, and he to her. He was probably one of the few men that she honestly got along with and liked. She bit back a soft moan as he landed against her boobs and righted himself. It was hard not to feel a little aroused when a 7 inch object settled between your boobs. As she smiled down at him, she moved her right hand to give him a pat on the head "Alright them. You can come with us... Follow me Dr Solaris" She added with a purr, before heading from the ER up to the Cafeteria, walking alongside Ares, whilst still leading the way, since he apparently was not that familiar with getting around
