[narration]The short walk up the staircase had gone by without a single word spoken between the two women, and as Xxoxia strode across the landing towards the door to the Temple she turned only slightly to address the tattered padawan.[/narration]
"Who are you, and where did he pick you up?" [narration]She hissed out, the sound of jealously underlying the latter part of the question.[/narration] "What, nexu got your tongue?" [narration]Xia finished with a sly smile, as the Temple door opened, allowing Xia to step right into the dim interior, before looking back again at Nel.[/narration]
"You better hope that I haven't missed something important... Jedi, if I can even call you that." [narration]Xia managed as her upper lip curled with distaste, before turning around again and heading off briskly in the direction of the Sanctum.[/narration]

"Nel Bukk... From Ossus." The last word caught on her tongue and her eyes misted. She lowered her head and took a deep breath to steady herself, trying to push back the hurt that came with the reminder of what transpired there. She then lifted her head some, taking the harsh words the other threw at her and let them roll off her back. Someone was in a bad mood, it would seem, and so she kept her mouth shut, or else she feared she'd simply make it worse on herself. The dim lighting inside momentarily cost her, and she blinked, letting her eyes adjust as she continued to walk. Her hands were clamped behind her back, her knuckles white and her palms aching as her nails dug into the tender flesh in an attempt to hold her tongue. The words themselves hurt, but for a different reason then the other woman might think. She had heard those words before, when she was younger... She shoved those voices back to where they belonged in the past and kept her head slightly bowed as she kept step with the woman.
