She nodded her thanks as he offered her the ale, taking a sip as he finished his comment. She didn't know what to say. She didn't really have a home anymore. Her thoughts jumped from Basilisk, to Lianna, to Mandalore, then Nar Hutta. She quickly shut out any thoughts that would lead her down that trail of thought. Don...Sate... Her parents were dead, her fiancé was dead, her husband was dead, her best friend was dead, and her lover was dead. Both her parents were only children. Her mother's parents completely disowned her mother, and her father's parents died long before she was born. She supposed to could go to Concord Dawn and try to find whatever might be left of the small Clan Ruus, but she never had and probably never would.
She and Damocles sat in silence, the only sound was his movements as he cooked the food, and the steaks and vegetables sizzling. She took another sip of the ale. Does any of your family live with you? She figured it was a neutral enough topic. Family was the center of their culture, after all. Asking an innocent question seemed better than sitting in silence.

He took another swig of his ale as Vee seemed to get lost in thought for a moment or two. He moved over to the oven then, pulling a tray out as the rolls within finished. He placed then on the edge of the plates, before returning to the main dish. He turned off the heat for the steaks and placed them on a dish to rest. Meanwhile he got to work dishing up the side items, shifting his gaze to Vee as she asked her question. Damocles shook his head I'm afraid not... Not at least any of my blood relatives. Of that, I am the last of my line... He moved over and sliced the steaks before depositing the meat onto the two plates. The storm outside was starting to pick up as the wind and sand battered the windows. A moment or two later, shutters slid down to protect the glass from breaking. The lights in the room raising to compensate as Damocles moved around the counter and placed one plate in front of Vee, while he took the seat next to her and placed his own food down My apprentice, a cousin from anther family in the clan, has taken up residency with me. But I've been gone a while, and trying to reintegrate has been... challenging to say the least... Now dig in and enjoy. He cut up some of his food further then, before starting to dig in and eat it

Vee wanted to roll her eyes at the authoritative clip in Damocles voice, but resisted the urge. The man was giving her food and a safe place to stay that was likely more comfortable than the Tracyn, she could be polite at the very least. She dug in after he did with a mumble of thanks. She was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually tasty. She jumped when a male voice broke the silence.
I didn’t realize we had company.
She barely had time to turn before the mando she saw earlier passed her to stand besides Damocles. There was no resemblance, but Vee supposed this was the cousin her client referred to. His smile managed to be both warm and guarded.
I’m Bren.
Vee nodded. Vee.
Introductions complete, Bren turned to the important task of eating. He grabbed a steak and some of the root vegetables with his bare fingers out of the pan before turning to take two rolls.
After tearing into a roll, he nudged his cousin with his elbow. Think we’ll get the V’hett order done by next cycle? I forgot to tell you this morning that I received another message asking if we could accelerate the order.

Damocles had been in the middle of enjoying a mouthful of the steak when Bren walked into the kitchen. The man's voice causing him to pause eating for a moment, swallowing down the food as his cousin came to a stop beside him A last-minute refugee from the storm... He took another sip of his ale as Bren moved across the kitchen to collect some food of his own. He let out a sigh at hearing of another request to accelerate the V'hett order. He moved his mug to the side as he sat it down It wouldn't be the first time Clan V'hett has requested an acceleration... Armour takes time to forge, especially in the quantity they want... Not to mention the pair of beskar suits they are after... Thanks to Vee, we should have all the materials we need now. It's just going to take some time to finish it all... Unfortunately, they'll just have to hold off until we're done...

Bren shrugged with a grunt. His thoughts had already moved on from that to how his cousin was dressed. Since when did he clean up? Regardless, he carried on. Ya'know, if it's possible to speed up a bit, we could charge extra. Might be worth some extra cred, seeing how things have been around here lately.
Vee would normally be passive about such conversations, but at the V'hett name her heart sped up.You couldn't go anywhere in Mando territory without hearing the last name. V'hett was a large clan, but it never ceased to remind her of Don. Vee typically would push such thoughts away with tihaar. After a moment's hesitation, however, she caved to the temptation to indulge her obsession.
The redhead cleared her throat, hoping her voice came out as nonchalant as she intended it. Which V'hett made the order? She took a swig of her ale, doubling down on what she thought could pass for indifferent behavior. Bren glanced at Damocles and, upon getting no reaction from the man other than a look that said "go on", Bren turned to Vee with narrowed eyes. Eh, what's it to you?
Vee shrugged a shoulder, making eye contact with Bren so not to seem shifty. I'm stuck here for Kad-knows-how-long, thought I might as well make conversation. Just wondering if it's someone I know.
Bren considered her with narrowed brown eyes. It's a V'hett named Gal...then again, I suppose there's a few V'hetts named Gal.
Concord Dawn?
Bren gave a slight shake of his head. Nah, Nar Shadaa.
Vee tried hard not to react and failed. Bren glanced at her hands where she suddenly was white-knuckling the cutlery. He raised a brow and cocked his head as he tossed a bit of the roast in his mouth. Friend of yours? he asked with his mouth full, chewing the meat like cud.
Vee swallowed hard, relaxing her hands. No, never heard of him...I just find it strange he's on Nar Shadaa. Is that normal?
Bren shrugged. Gal is a she and no...not unless you're on a job, which I suppose you'd have to be if you're on that planet.
Vee wanted to ask if Gal was a regular client, but refrained. She didn't want to raise any further suspicions and besides...it very likely had nothing to do with Don. A lot of mandos found work on or traveling through Nar Shadaa. Vee grunted agreement as she cut into one of the last bites of her roast. Suppose so. How long have you both been crafting beskar? She popped another bite in her mouth, trying to move suspicion away from the topic of Gal.
Bren jabbed in Damocles direction with his fork as he talked around another bite of food. Your turn, cousin.

Damocles was almost certain if they did manage to find a way to complete the order early, they could indeed charge an extra fee. But with how much progress they had made, and how much more there was to do, he was doubtful they could finish sooner. He kept eating then, flashing a curious glance toward Vee as she asked who the order was for. Given her reluctance to be here thus far, he had no intention of letting her not ask her questions. The Ale, as expected, was helping set her at ease. Better she at least enjoy this stay than remain nervous and absolutely hate it.
So he sat and ate, letting Bren and Vee banter back and forth. Making a mental note to himself to ask if she knew a Vee H'rel, since she seemed perhaps a little too interested in who made the order. Her attempt to pass it off as in-deference ruined somewhat by how hard she had been gripping the cutlery in her hands. A sign that now was perhaps not the best time to probe too much into the mater with her.
He swallowed the piece of steak he had been chewing on and took a swig of his Ale when Vee tried to tactfully change the subject away to something a little safer. He set the mug down and looked at Vee, seeming to think about his answer for a moment or two I've been doing this for almost thirty years now. From the moment I could lift a hammer, my buir taught me how to heat and forge metal, making everything from bed frames to weapons of war... Bren on the other hand... He is still learning the ways of Beskar forging... He picked up his mug and downed some more Ale, trying to keep the conversation a little more casual Ever had something of your own made of Beskar?

Vee shook her head no at the question, picking up the ale at the same time to take a healthy swig. That wasn't true at all. Taung H'rel - her late multimillionaire husband, who also happened to be Mandalore at the time- had a set made for her. It was one of many wedding gifts he bestowed her. After keeping it for years, she ended up reluctantly selling it when she was short on creds while on Nar Hutta, looking for...
She gave another shake of her head for good measure, more to clear her thoughts of Taung and Don than to actually respond to Damocles. Bren took a breath to speak as Vee took that swig of ale, but was interrupted when the compound suddenly shook and a muted boom sounded. Vee froze for a moment, straining to hear. Her eyes darted between Damocles and Bren, her hand with the glass still in mid air. What was that? The storm?
She never experienced something like that during the past four storms she weathered on Ordo. If she had been outside of mando territory, Vee might think it was a bounty hunter trying to collect the Hutt bounty on her head. Surely they wouldn't try while in her own territory...would they?

Damocles watched Vee carefully, his attention quickly diverting from her when the whole compound shook and an explosion went off. His gaze quickly looking around, trying to determine the origin point. His gaze briefly meeting Bren's in a moment of silent communication before his attention settled back upon Vee If it's the storm, it's not like any storm I've experienced... He put down his knife and fork, pushing his chair back as he got up and moved around to a nearby security panel No... It seems like something else... He opened the panel cover and entered his pass code before the panel lit up and allowed Damocles to swipe through a number of menus as an alert played in the corner of the screen. Finally getting to the compound map where a section of the outer wall was flashing red. He brought up the closest camera view, which showed a missing chuck of the perimeter wall and carbon scoring from an explosion That's not good... The building shook far more violently this time, as another explosion went off, this time to the west of them. Damocles braced himself against the wall as the power seemed to flicker briefly, the main lights shutting off and replaced by some stark white emergency lights What the hell was that... A quick consulting of the compound map revealed very quickly what had occurred. The landing area had an emergency symbol over it. Damocles selected it and the camera views that should have shown his ship, instead showed the smoking wreck of his vessel. Damocles slammed his fist into the wall beside the panel What kind of crazed moron would fly into a storm like this... He turned around then, facing Vee and Bren. His smile earlier gone and replaced with a less than pleased expression Bren, please look after Vee. I have an uninvited guest to deal with... Excuse me a moment... Damocles gave a quick bow of his head, before heading out of the kitchen and back to the main atrium. Taking the main staircase up to the second floor where the master bedroom was. It took him only a few moments to get into his Beskar'gam and sheathed his blades. He carried his helmet as he made his way down to the main doors, with Bren and Vee waiting there The storm is still raging outside, so close and lock the door after I leave. If anything happens Bren, make sure you get her out of here. The tunnels beneath the estate should get you far enough away, and the storm should hopefully clear up soon... He slid his helmet on then, the green visor lighting up to a dull green glow. His voice was mechanically amplified then as he spoke While I would not presume to give you orders, I would advise you to stick close to Bren. Got it?

Vee gave a curt nod in agreement, adrenaline coursing through her veins. She could guess what was going on. The Hutts. The bounty must be so high that someone was willing to follow her unto a mando world in mando territory and come after her in a sand storm at the aliitor's compound. They probably thought it would be the last place she would expect to be attacked and, with the storm, there would be no where for her to go. Granted, maybe there was beef someone had with the Ordos, but she doubted it. Both Damocles and Bren seemed genuinely surprised at these developments. And while it could be a heist to lift the beskar, Vee somehow doubted it.
She caressed the slugs and light whip at her hips when Bren turned back to her from locking the door. The color had drained from his face, but he still looked alert. Bren, we need to check what Damocles saw. I want to know what's going on.
He assessed her for a moment before giving a shake of his head and leading her back to the control panel. His fingers flew over the keys. He cursed, his eyes widening. Chunk of the perimeter wall is gone. he grunted incredulously. A few more keystrokes and he stepped back, running his hand through his hair with another curse. You've got to be kidding me! The ship's blown away! His brown eyes were wide and wild when he turned back to Vee.
Vee grit her teeth, knowing she likely didn't look better. Has something like this ever happened before?
Bren seemed to snap out of his shock. His voice was terse. Here? On Ordo?He shook his head more in disbelief than in answer.No...something big made this happen. Never seen anything like this.
Vee took a step back, fear blooming in her stomach. She swallowed hard, her mouth dry. Where's the weapons locker?
Bren stared at her dumbly. What?
Vee stepped closer to him, her face firming with resolve. Bren, we need to be ready regardless if we stay or use tunnels. Where is the fucking weapons locker?
Bren shook his head, as if he was trying to clear it, before turning on his heel and making his way to an adjoining room. Follow me.

Damocles instantly felt the sand storm hit him as the door opened and he made his way outside. His visor cycling through views as he drew the pair of beskar khopesh blades on his hips. Eventually it managed to filter through the sand, giving him a good look at the AEG-77 Vigo that was hovering in the air above the estate. He raised his left arm and touched a couple controls. A pair of automated light laser cannons came online and started rapid firing upon the ship. Its Captain shifted the AEG-77 to the side, just as a couple more cannons came online as Damocles anticipated the ships move.
The laser fire struck through the shields and hit the engines, forcing the AEG-77 to make a emergency landing on the ground just outside the estates main entrance. Damocles stood waiting then, knowing that whoever was inside would come find him. Which, sure enough, proved to be accurate a few moments later as a man clad in scavenged stormtrooper armour and wrapped with scarves appeared. The stranger tapped his helmet then, before a comm line was established between them on an open channel I'm here for the girl! Hand her over, and I'll go on my way Mando...
You think you can come to my home, blow up my ship, and expect me to just let you leave unharmed... You are out of your league here boy. Put your guns down and surrender. Last chance...
No, this is your last chance old man! I will burn your pitiful house to the ground, get the girl, and then take your armor for myself!
Try me! Damocles muted the channel and ran forward through the storm, spinning to the side as the bounty hunter fired off a shot. The bolt grazed past his side, missing him as he kept moving forward. Another blaster bolt followed soon after, Damocles dodging to the opposite side then. Trying to avoid the bounty hunter from anticipating his next move. In that moment, he didn't care why Vee was being hunter. She was his guest and no body was going to fly in, blow up his ship, and take her away.
As soon as he was in range, he started striking out with the pair of khopesh blades. The bounty hunter swing his blaster rifle up, using it to block and parry Damocles' strikes. He took a step to the side and sliced toward the hunter, but his opponent was already moving, the blaster rifle barrel filling the air. Damocles smiled then, quickly stabbing forth with his other blade to trap the rifle between the pair of khopesh blades. With a practiced spin, Damocles tore the rifle from the hunter's grip. The gun quickly lost to the storm as the winds seemed to pick it up and carry it away.
The hunter, however, was not done yet as he pulled out an electro staff. The two ends crackling to life with electricity. Without a moments hesitation, he pushed forward, the pair of beskar khopesh blades ringing out against the staff. Damocles aiming to hit the body rather than either one of the ends.
He did a sidewards flip then, as the hunter brought the bottom end of the staff up. The plasma arced off the end as it passed within inches of his chest piece. The metal holding up fine underneath the grazing strike. Landing on his feet, he dropped down and spun to his left, bringing both blades to bear on the hunters left leg. Only to have the strike blocked by the staff which the hunter brought down against the ground.
Pulling back, Damocles sheathed the pair of blades, and drew his two handed khopesh from across his back. Turning the blade around he pushed forward and swung out toward the hunter. The distinct clang of metal meeting metal was heard, before he immediately pulled back hard with his blade. Hooking the staff, and pulling it free of the hunters grip. A move which seemed to once more disarm his opponent. This time though, Damocles did not wait, as he kept the blade in motion and swung it around.
Bringing the edge of the khopesh up through the hunter, from right hip to the man's left shoulder. The stormtrooper armour offering no real protection from the two-handed blade. The hunter feel to his knees then, as Damocles stood over him. Ready to remove the hunter's head You have failed... He kicked out with his right foot then. His boot impacting the hunters sternum and sending the man falling onto his back. Damocles sheathed the mighty blade upon his back then, before turning and heading back to the main building. The storm winds still somewhat in full force. His awareness on the lookout for any others that might have come out of the AEG-77 which he did not see leave earlier

Here. Bren's finger flew over the security pad to unlock the locker. It automatically swung open once the proper code was input. Vee stepped forward to survey what the men had. Several blasters for a variety of uses, an extra set of beskergram, a few grenade throwers, and five different cylindrical devices that looked familiar with Vee.The devices made her blood run cold in recognition. They looked just like lightsabers. Taung had one and Vee had seen other magical users fight with them. Apparently Damocles was familiar with those sorcerers. She pushed the thought out of her mind and tried to recenter on what she could use to defend herself.
A grenade launcher wouldn't work well with the wind, or the tunnels. She already had two slugs that could protect her just fine, so no need for more. It would just weigh her down. Her shock whip wouldn't be best in the storm either, though it should work just fine in tunnels. She hesitated while Bren equipped himself with two different blasters. Her gaze rested again the the lightsabers. That would be fine in a storm, wouldn't it? Surely it was a dangerous weapon that needed to be handled just right, but she was certain if she could fight competently with a shock whip, she could handle a lightsaber.
Bren's brow furrowed as Vee carefully picked one of the smaller of the hilts. You might want to be careful with that, it's not exactly a weapon for those without experience with-
She rounded on the cousin, eyes flashing and nostrils flaring. Her tone with short. I know what kind of weapon it is. With a departing glare at Bren raising his hands in surrender, Vee turned away from him and carefully examined the weapon. Growing confidence, a rush of adrenaline rushed through her as she ignited to reveal a dark magenta-hued blade.
Bren, do you think-
A blade pushed into her side while a breathy female voice whispered in her ear. Just you and me, sweets. Put down the saber and I won't hurt you.

Damocles closed the door behind him and locked it once more, a thin layer of sand and dirt washing across the entrance hall. His HUD immediately got to work searching the area for signs of life as he slowly crossed the entrance hall. He unsheathed the pair of one handed khopesh blades when no one came out to greet him. It could be that Bren and Vee had already headed for the tunnels. But something felt off about the situation. Something that was confirmed a couple moments later when his HUD picked up not two, but three life signs osik He muttered the word to himself as he carefully crossed the hall and headed toward the adjoining room from which the signals were picked up. He knew exactly where they were, and given that there was a veritable arsenal of weapons there, he would have to be careful. He pulled around the corner then, his blades held tightly in his hands as he looked upon the pair still standing. Someone he did not recognize was pressing a blade into Vee's side, who was holding an activated saber. One of many items he had taken over the years from the darksiders he had hunted. He raised his right arm then, leveling a small gauntlet mounted blaster pistol toward the unknown figure I don't much care for uninvited guests ner'vod... Now how about you put that blade down, and we have a chat?

The slender young woman whose blade pressed into Vee's side flashed a dazzling smile in Damocles direction. Sorry. Her voice came out like a feminine purr. No can do. Business, you see. Keeping an amber eye on the Mando, her smile hardened and she pressed the blade enough into Vee's side enough to draw blood. Drop the saber, honey. I won't tell you again. I can bring you in dead just as well as alive.
Vee didn't take her eyes off of Damocles, barely seeing the man as her brain frantically thought of an escape route. If the bounty hunter took her in, she was as good as dead anyway, only the Hutts would make her feel it. She had nothing to lose. Take it easy. Vee hissed, cringing at the sting of the blade. She spoke quickly. I'll put the saber down as soon as I can turn it off. She made a show of trying to find the button to turn off the saber. She slowly brought it horizontally in front of her as she deactivated it, but kept her finger on the trigger. See? Nothing to get worked up about.
Vee couldn't see her captor's face, but could feel the fear and anger, Vee's dangerous action momentarily distracting the bounty hunter from Damocles. I said drop it bitch!

He'd hoped she might have seen reason and come in quietly, but as usual, she had opted for the hard road. It wasn't a complete surprise after all. Bounty Hunters rarely liked to give up their prizes, especially one's that had a big enough prize on their heads to make coming to a Mando world worth it. Once this little situation was over, Damocles intended to learn who had placed this bounty and show them some Mando hospitality. For now, he just needed to get them through this situation Must be some damn good business if it's worth your life... He kept the wrist mounted blaster aimed at the woman holding Vee captive. His HUD was already calculating the trajectory of the blaster round, with Damocles making subtle adjustments to his aim as Vee dealt with being stabbed in the side and deactivating the saber blade. He took several calm breaths as the bounty hunter grew more agitated and took her attention off of him and centered it on Vee. His left hand let go of the blade he had been holding, before clenching to activate the firing mechanism. Sending a blaster bolt hurtling through the air toward the woman's face. Whether it hit her or grazed past, wasn't too much of a concern, since even if it did miss it should at least provide Vee the momentary distraction she needed to turn the tables

It was all a blur, and Vee acted more on gut instinct than thought. The bounty hunter moved quickly to the side, taking Vee with her. So quickly it made Vee half-fall, still in the woman's surprisingly iron-like grasp. Her hand gripping the lightsaber hilt fell to the floor. She arched her head away and ignited it at the hunter's face, centimetres from her own. There was a sudden quiet, save the vibrant hum of the saber and Vee's heavy breathing.
She stared wide-eyed at the blade going through the hunter's face, making sure she was dead, before she shut the saber down and kicked the body off her. The blade at her side clattered to the ground. She sat there several seconds more, staring at the hunter's form, before whipping her head back to Damocles. She hardly knew what to say.
<Thank you.> she said in Mando'a after several heartbeats, knowing it would never be enough but that it would have to suffice. <I am forever in your debt.>
Realization dawned upon her. Bren! She jumped up and jogged the short distance to his limp form before Damocles could say anything. No blood or markings, and he still had a strong pulse. Vee turned back to his cousin, her long braid whipping behind her. It looks like she just knocked him out. Probably didn't want to chance killing him and causing trouble with you personally. She motioned with her chin towards the main entrance. Was there anything out there, or was it a distraction?

While the shot had missed its intended mark, the bounty hunter had reacted just as Damocles expected. The pair of women were suddenly sent tumbling to the ground, giving Vee the opening she needed to activate the saber. Bringing the life of the bounty hunter to an end. He sheathed the khopesh still held in his right hand before removing his helmet as he looked down to where Vee was sitting after she'd freed herself from the now motionless body You have nothing to thank me for ner'vod. I merely provided a distraction, you were the one that had it handled... Suddenly, however, Vee was on her feet and moving over to where Bren laid unconscious. Damocles set his helmet on a nearby table while moving to gather an emergency med kit from one of the lockers. He knelt down by Vee's side as she was busy checking on Bren. Damocles pulled out some swabs and a couple bacta patches Hold still, this is going to sting a little... He then used the swabs on the puncture wound from when she had been stabbed by the bounty hunter. Cleaning the site before applying a couple bacta patches over the intrusion Yeah, I sensed Bren's life signature when I got inside, he just needs some rest, but if she hoped to not cause trouble with me personally, she failed.... He examined Vee's side, making sure the bacta patches were securely in place before packing the medical kit supplies away as Vee asked about outside Yeah, there was someone out there, maybe her collaborator more than likely... He motioned to the lifeless body of the female bounty hunter before focusing on Vee Are you ok?

She remained still as Damocles tended her wounded side. It wasn't more than a deep scratch really. She barely felt it through the spike of adrenaline. She stared down at Bren while he finished. I'm fine. Let's get Bren somewhere more comfortable, he might have a concussion. Together they easily moved the unconscious man to a nearby, utilitarian-looking, couch in the living area. Vee made a beeline to the dead bounty hunter's body as soon as she set Bren down.
Avoiding looking at the gaping hole that used to be a rather pretty face and the stench of burning flesh, Vee searched the hunter's clothes for any clues. She found a comlink, various concealed weapons, and a holopad. Anxious, she activated it. A holo of herself with relevant data on who she was and were she might be met her eyes.
Osik. she cursed under her breath.Who knew how many hunters were coming after her here on Ordo. She hoped only these two, but she couldn't be sure. So far she stuck to Mando space and Mando worlds, never having a real issue until now.
Face tight with barely concealed anxiety, anger, and fear, she turned back to Damocles. I'm sorry I brought my problems to your doorstep. Had I known that bounty hunters would follow me here, I would not have come. So far, they have left me alone as long as I stay in Mando territory. She tossed him the small holopad. But I don't know if that will be enough anymore. I may be endangering you all further by remaining. Is there a way I can leave despite this sand storm?

Once they got Bren onto the couch, Damocles set to work checking him over for any injuries. He applied some bacta patches to a couple spots, before injecting a small batch of medicines. Preventative work in case he had deeper injuries. With the first aid applied, he turned toward Vee as she retrieved a datapad and details regarding her appeared. he caught the datapad as she tossed it toward him and glanced over the data You don't have anything to be sorry for. Honestly, I'm glad you came here, who knows what might have happened had they caught you anywhere else... He moved over to Vee and handed the datapad back We may not be the same Clan, but we are vod still... And we look after each other, no matter what... He walked over to the body and collected the saber hilt from the ground, before turning back to Vee and offering it to her There is a way to leave, but... It's not the most comfortable. And you're not going alone... Who ever is after you has gotten far too greedy. I think it's time we showed them some Mandalorian hospitality. So tell me, Vee, who is after you?

Vee clenched and unclenched her teeth as her mind searched for a proper answer. The man did just save her life, but his questions were annoying, as was the assumption that he would help her further. This was to be expected, and for him not to offer would be insulting. But Vee learned that a lifestyle of independence was the surest way to maintain her sanity.
Sate...Don...Taung...Todon...
She stowed the small holopad into a pocket as she struggled to formulate what to tell him. A job for the Hutts went sideways. Vee grunted, feeling suddenly embarrassed as the confession. Everyone knew you didn't take a job for the Hutts unless you were really someone. She crossed her arms, refusing to take the lightsaber from him. She hated lightsabers. It was either bail or be killed. I bailed and have stayed in Mando space since. Her eyes warned him to ask nothing else. He saved her life and got his ship blown up. She owed him. But Vee would not recount that particular tale.
Sate...
She clenched and unclenched her teeth. I've already put you and your family in danger, and gotten your ship blown up and your compound damaged. I know you're obligated to help, but don't. You've done more than most already.

He didn't pay too much attention to the whispered words or names that Vee recounted. Whoever or whatever they were, were none of his business. Instead he listened as she recounted what few details she was willing to give him. The Hutts were no joke and they did not take lightly to anyone betraying them or failing to come through on a job Hutt's aren't the most reasonable of creatures, but they generally tend to err away from messing with mando'ade space... When she refused the saber, he moved over to the locker and placed it back inside. Turning back to face her as he leaned back against a nearby surface It is not obligation that drives me to help you. Vee... We're vode, family... Just because you are not of Clan Ordo, does not make you any less my family. Being a Mando is not just some system of obligations that we are compelled to adhere to... You didn't blow up my ship or put my cousin or yourself in danger, the Hutt that is after you did all that. It's time to remind this slug, and all those like him, why the Mandalorians are to be feared... Now, if they could find you... He motioned to the body laid out in the middle of the room Then I suspect others will be able to as well. So the choice is simple, we can sit here and wait out the storm while more of them come for you... Or I help you get back to your ship and we go deal with this Hutt problem. Besides, if they don't have an active track on your location, they'll still come here looking for you and I'll have to fight them off...
