Gauging from the owner of the apartment's reaction that the stress of the situation has led her to overlook the clues that Cleite is almost certainly not a typical human, the HRD calculates that the advantages of preserving the illusion of being a human outweigh, at present, the disadvantages, and so assumes a wide-eyed, shocked expression as well as lowering her body temperature and initiating a cool sweat to further the appearance of being injured and in a state of shock.
Nodding as the owner of the apartment, more likely than not in some degree of shock herself, tells her to stay calm and offers other reassurances while gathering supplies to tend to her injuries, Cleite notes the approaching sirens while calculating the probability of the Tusken surviving a fall from the height of the apartment as well as weighing the potential advantages of entering police protection. Determining that, even if the bounty hunter has not survived, it is highly likely that whoever had sent the Tusken after her will send other bounty hunters to finish the job, Cleite concludes that she would only put the authorities in danger were she to seek sanctuary with or through them, and so shakes her head when the apartment owner states she will comm a hospital after implying that the arrival of the authorities means that the danger is likely to have passed.
"No, no ambulance, and no police, Cleite says, her voice trembling and shaky at first, growing stronger and more sure as she explains, It would only put them in danger. Even if that bounty hunter is dead, there will be more. Reaching out to grab the apartment owner's hands in her own, Cleite meets her eyes as she implores her, You have to listen to me, don't involve anyone else in this. It's better if I just try and get off world, trust me. Glancing down at her leg to estimate how long it might require to repair it enough to restore at least minimal function, and then looking towards the closet nearby, Cleite beseeches the apartment owner, If you'll just give me some clothes, and help with my leg, I can get to the starport, find a way off world. Please, just help me do that."

Her attention primarily on determining what she can do for the woman's leg wound, Elettra only half listens to what her surprise guest is saying. Pouring antiseptic over the woman's wound, Elettra nods and says reassuringly, "I'll help you, don't . . . trailing off as enough of what the woman has said registers to let Elettra know that something is very, very off kilter, Elettra dabs at the wound gingerly with a towel to try and get a clearer picture of how bad the wound is while saying gently but firmly, You aren't going to get any where on this leg, and I really think the police will be able to keep you safe. Suspecting that arguing will be pointless, and moot once paramedics and the police are on the scene to look after the injured woman, Elettra begins making and applying a make-shift pressure bandage with some towels while telling the woman, Let's just focus on dressing your leg. One thing at a time." Leaning back to assess her work once the woman's leg is bandaged, Elettra looks over the other visible cuts and scrapes and gauges that none require immediate attention.
Draping a towel over the woman's shoulders, Elettra begins to stand as she says, "I'm going to get my comlink, I'll be right back."

Debris from the ruins of dresser crackles and snaps as A'vimala rises from amidst the wreckage and scattered items of clothing flung from the shattered piece of furniture that cushioned her fall enough that she survived to rise at all. Her left arm hangs limply at her side as the Tusken tilts her head to the side, listening to the sounds of the approaching sirens and estimating how long before the local authorities arrive and complicate her already complicated efforts to capture her target. Kneeling to pick up a blouse from the clothes tossed here and there by the dresser's impact, A'vimala mentally weighs the prospect of trying to effect the capture of Kallas while local law enforcement is present against the chances that her target might be able to go deep underground now that she, or it if A'vimala's suspicions are correct, knows it is hunted.
Using the blouse to fashion a temporary sling for her injured arm, A'vimala takes a deep breath once the task is finished, having decided it would be best to deny Kallas any opportunity to leave Dressel; knowing it is hunted will only make Kallas more likely to avoid mistakes similar to those that led A'vimala here. Slinging her rifle at her back beside her Gaderffii, A'vimala begins striding at a quick pace for the front entrance of the apartment building she was thrown from, glancing up at the balcony she fell from to mark its location so that finding the apartment it belongs to is easier.
Stepping into the turbolift inside the apartment building's lobby, A'vimala presses the button for the sixth floor, and then steps back while reaching behind her back to unholster her Dl-18 blaster pistol as the turbolift begins its ascent.

Reaching out to clasp the woman's hands to keep her from going for the comlink, Cleite elects to try and dissuade the woman from her plans with one last plea before she is forced to find another tactic, and so keeps her voice and demeanor a carefully balanced combination of pained, panicked, and yet cooly logical as she says, "Please, please listen to me. I have experience with this kind of situation, and you have to believe me when I tell you that anyone that tries to come between me and that bounty hunter or the others that will follow if she fails will be in grave danger. I don't want to be responsible for any harm that might come to them, and have a better chance of evading the bounty hunter if I am alone anyway. She'll be watching for the authorities or paramedics to take me into custody, I promise you, and would go right through them to get to me."
Taking a breath she does not truly need, adopting an expression suggesting that she is only barely keeping her panic at bay, Cleite closes her eyes for a moment and, keeping her hold on the other woman's hands, softens her tone as she says, "Please, just give me some clothes, and the keys to your airspeeder and a weapon if you have them. Opening her eyes, her expression grimly determined, Cleite says, I'm stronger than I look, I can get as far as I need to despite my leg, I promise you. Every minute you keep from running is another minute she has to get closer back to here. I have to go now. Alone. Lead her away from you and everyone nearby."

Elettra's confusion is evident in her expression as she listens to the injured woman protest once more against the idea of turning to either the authorities or emergency personnel sure to be arriving on the scene any moment now. Elettra, perhaps intentionally, is also left with the impression that she herself is bound to be in danger simply for having been unfortunate enough to own the apartment that the struggle between the woman and the Tusken bounty hunter had moved to at one point, and it is that impression that permits the first seeds of doubt to be planted in her mind as to whether or not the conventional resources and routines are the most useful or wise to turn to in the present situation.
Not, as yet, willing to abandon the idea of turning to the authorities, Elettra has an ill-defined plan beginning to form in her mind as she nods as though agreeing reluctantly to what the injured woman has said, "Okay, okay. If what you're saying is true, if you're right, I'm in . . . I need to get away from here, at least for a while, too, right? That bounty hunter, or one like her, will come back here, won't she? Try to, to, to pick up your trail, or see if you said or did anything that might tell her something? So, she reaches out to put the woman's arm over a shoulder to help her up and to the bed, I shouldn't be here when she comes back. We'll go to my speeder. You're in no shape to pilot, so I will."

Arguing, Cleite concludes, will only increase the chances of the Tusken returning and renewing the attack, which would not only put her in danger, but also the woman that has been put in danger simply for being near where the initial attack occurred. Maintaining the appearance of being injured, in shock, and yet determined to fight on, Cleite nods and sighs a sigh meant to sound both grateful and resigned in surrender.
"Thank you, Cleite says through a feigned grimace as the woman helps her up, I'm in your debt," she says as the woman turns to find something for her to wear, the words seeming to be along the lines of what would be expected in the situation.
After the woman has helped her into a long, loose-fitting dress and a jacket, Cleite groans as she is helped up, and keeps her complexion pale and sweaty as they make their way to the hall outside the apartment to begin the trip to the woman's vehicle. Eyes and ears alert for any hint of the Tusken's return as she keeps her weight on her undamaged leg while trying to help the woman as much as she can, Cleite marks the locations of alternative exits and objects that would make decent weapons of opportunity.

Spotting her quarry as the turbolift doors open, A'vimala begins to advance towards Kallas and lifts her Dl-18 in a fluid, swift motion, smiling at her apparent good fortune unseen beneath her helmet. Speaking to the female occupant of the apartment where the confrontation with Kallas had taken them to, A'vimala says tonelessly, "This does not concern you. Leave now. To Kallas, she says in a chilly tone making it apparent that she cannot be swayed, Surrender, or be destroyed. The bounty is the same whether or not you are intact and wholly functional."
Keeping her blaster leveled, aimed very clearly at Kallas' head, A'vimala continues cautiously yet inexorably to advance towards her prey, watching both Kallas and her companion closely to gauge whether they will comply, attempt to flee, or make an ill-advised stand of some kind.

Even much, much later, Elettra will never come to any understanding of what it is that leads her to let the opportunity to escape the situation she has found herself in pass her by. It may be the fact that she was raised by a Warden of the Sky and inherited his ingrained drive to protect, or perhaps her time in the military instilled that drive in her; but no matter the underlying cause, when Elettra sees the Tusken leveling the blaster towards her and the red haired woman, and hears the declaration that accompanies it about the fact that the woman is wanted dead or alive, she feels old instincts kick in, time seeming to slow as she takes in the fact that they have stopped beside the door to a stairwell.
Lifting a hand while keeping an arm around the red haired woman to keep her on her feet, Elettra says, "Alright, okay, just . . . not finishing the sentence, Elettra lunges to the side, swinging the hand out to shove the door open so that she and the woman she supports can lurch through it. Come on!" Elettra shouts needlessly, immediately trying to adjust the woman's weight so that she is supporting her almost entirely as she begins moving down the stairs as quickly as possible, hoping to put as much distance between them and the bounty hunter.

Cleite, assuming just as she calculates the bounty hunter will be that Elettra will accept the invitation to remove herself from the conflict she had unwillingly been brought into, begins running through possible moves she can make to escape from the bounty hunter herself as soon as the Tusken's intent is clear. Elettra's lunge takes Cleite entirely off guard, for in no scenario that she had begun to calculate the odds of successfully evading the bounty hunter did the woman factor into.
Pulling the door to the stairwell shut behind them, her calculations already adjusting to the change in circumstance and including the new scenarios that have opened to be considered, Cleite determines the one she will choose as Elettra begins taking them down the stairs. Reaching up with one hand to take hold of Elettra's arm firmly, her calculations determining that there is no time to forewarn the woman of exactly what she intends to do, Cleite tells reaches for the railing beside them with the other hand as she says simply, "Hold on tightly to me."
No sooner has the last word of the sentence been uttered than Cleite nimbly and unhesitantly pushes off with her undamaged leg while lifting her and Elettra off the ground with the hand on the railing beside them so that they are carried over the railing and begin to fall to the bottom of the stairwell. With the precision at her command as a HRD, Cleitie halts their fall on the railing just above the bottom of the stairwell, twisting enough so that it is her side that slams against the wall rather than Elettra's. With no evidence of the impact against the wall or of the strain a normal human's arm would have been subject to affecting her at all, Cleite drops the last few feet after a pause, landing on her uninjured leg and yet keeping her balance even though it buckles slightly.
Prodding Elettra gently towards the exit to get them moving again, Cleite asks in an eerily calm tone, "How far is it from the exit to your vehicle?"

A disciplined enough warrior to recognize when a shot would be wasted, A'vimala does not fire when her prey and her surprise samaritan bolt into a stairwell. As she rushes to pursue her prey, A'vimala wonders briefly whether or not the samaritan and her quarry are in a relationship of some kind that would explain why the samaritan did not remove herself from the situation when given the opportunity to do so. Nothing in her surveillance had suggested that Kallas and her samaritan so much as knew of one another, and so A'vimala concludes that the samaritan must be cut from the hero mold, and will therefore need to be factored into her pursuit from here on out.
Leaning to look over the railing after entering the stairwell, A'vimala scowls beneath her helmet as she sees the exit door shutting on the ground floor below. Certain now that Kallas is no mere human, and is very likely a HRD just as she had begun to believe, A'vimala tilts her head to the side as she mentally weighs the odds she gives herself of catching up to her prey against the possibility regrouping and adjusting her strategy in light of what she has learned. Deciding there is nothing to be lost in making the attempt, A'vimala uses her grappling line to descend rapidly to the ground floor and, wary of an ambush, kicks the exit door open, blaster at the ready in the event she spots her prey . . .

"Wh . . ." Elettra has time to ask confusedly before the smaller woman somehow manages to vault over them both side of stair rail after taking hold of her with one hand. It feels as though her stomach lurches sickeningly up into her throat as they freefall, though the nauseous feeling has the benefit of preventing Elettra from screeching or otherwise expressing the blend of surprise and fright that accompanies the unexpected means of hastening their descent to the exit at the bottom of the stairs.
The tension of the situation preventing Elettra from considering how the injured woman is capable of what she has just done, Elettra feels adrenaline flooding within her to wash away the bewilderment and, literally running with the plan the smaller woman has enacted, bolts through the exit door when prodded to do so. Glancing over her shoulder as they move through the door, half expecting to see the relentless Tusken already behind them, Elettra answers the question that has been posed to her, On the landing pads just to the side here," as, unaware that the smaller woman does not need as much assistance as one would think, she lifts the woman's arms back over her shoulder to help her.
Hearing the door as it is kicked open just as they turn the corner, Elettra grits her teeth and increases her pace as much as she can, running towards her airspeeder. Risking another look backwards as they reach her vehicle and she opens the passenger side to help the injured woman inside, Elettra fights back her panic as she sees the Tusken rstounding the corner of the building. Not wanting to be in the open any longer than necessary, Elettra moves past the smaller woman and into the driver's seat rather than going around the speeder, and hastily starts the repulsorlifts, jerking the steering yoke back to take them up into the air . . .

Calculating the optimal balance between making Elettra's efforts to get them to her airspeeder hastily and not betraying her inhuman nature any more than her previous actions already have, Cleite maintains her balance and hops along nimbly on her one unimpaired leg beside Elettra, risking a glance over her shoulder as they reach the vehicle. The bounty hunter's behavior to this point has indicated that she is reluctant to unduly risk any possible injuries to innocent bystanders, and so Cleite estimates that the odds of the Tusken risking injury to Elettra is minimal at best; and therefore does not avail herself of the brief opening to separate from the woman which presents itself as Elettra helps her into the passenger seat.
As Elettra takes the vehicle up, Cleite reaches over to swing the steering wheel sharply to the right so that they do not collide with an oncoming airspeeder that the human's stress and haste has caused her to overlook. Her blue eyes lifting to the rearview mirror to see what the bounty might be doing, Cleite makes another adjustment to the airspeeder's course, moving them up into a higher lane and between two other vehicles so that they should be masked from the Tusken's view should she be contemplating firing a shot despite her earlier reluctance to fire when there is a pronounced risk of injuring innocents. "Sorry, Cleite says, continuing to allow her artificial sweat glands to produce sweat to, with the paleness she permits to color her complexion, maintain an appearance of shock, as she keeps a hold of the wheel until Elettra resumes control of the vehicle. Thank you, she breathes when Elettra has taken the wheel, slumping back in her seat as though in exhaustion, a pained expression on her elfin face to further portray an injured being. You should have taken the opportunity to get out of this, but you didn't. I don't know how I can ever repay you."

The red haired woman helping Kallas, intentionally or accidentally, blocks any clear shot that A'vimala might make as she relentlessly continues advancing towards the airspeeder her prey has been ushered hastily towards, her DL-18 raised in front of her as she watches for an opportunity for a head shot on Kallas even though it soon becomes undeniably apparent that her prey will slip from her grasp due to the baffling determination of the red haired human to help Kallas escape. Something in the way the human moves suggests to A'vimala that she has some degree of martial or military training, and she files that fact away for the time being; as it would appear that she will need to factor the woman into any future plans.
Holstering her blaster pistol as the airspeeder enters the traffic overhead, A'vimala uses her helmet's HUD to zoom in on any registration plates visible so that she can attempt to learn the identity of the samaritan. Striding around to the stairwell entrance unhurriedly, Kallas' actions more difficult to predict now that she has the samaritan in tow, A'vimala considers returning to the samaritan's apartment to see what she can learn of Kallas' unanticipated protector, though she does not want to tip local law enforcement off to the fact Kallas and the samaritan are traveling together if that can be avoided, and so is prepared to abandon the idea if the human's apartment is already being searched by law enforcement. Heading up the stairs, A'vimala uses her HUD to scan for lifesigns in hopes of avoiding being delayed by the questions she imagines law enforcement would have if she were to be found in the building . . .

Mouth too dry to answer immediately - the fact that she had, due to her panic, nearly killed her and the woman she has found her fate tied to for the time being prompting Elettra to make a concerted effort to recall and employ the mental discipline that had been drilled into her when she was a medic in the Republic's military - Elettra nods, her hands tightening on the steering yoke as her eyes check the rear and side mirrors so that her awareness of the traffic around them increases. Slowing her breathing with a concerted effort, Elettra relaxes somewhat when, after a few moments without any signs of pursuit, it seems safe to assume that they are momentarily out of any immediate danger.
Reaching up to run a hand through her hair, Elettra says in response to one of her passenger's earlier remarks, "I didn't help in expectation of a reward. I . . . snorting a laugh as it occurs to her that there are far more pressing things to worry about than discussing her motivation, Elettra asks, Where should we go? Looking over at the woman's wounded leg, Elettra frowns as she suggests, You need to be at a Medcenter. That has to be treated soon."
Depending on how thoroughly A'vimala searches Elettra's apartment, she will learn a few useful facts about the woman helping her target. That she is an educator will be the most readily apparent conclusion to draw given the degrees hanging on the walls of Elettra's office, and even a cursory examination of the contents of her holobook shelves or if A'vimala is a skilled enough slice, Elettra's dataterminal will reveal an interest in science in general, particularly in Xenopathology. The many holopics on the walls of the apartment, though requiring more guesswork than other documents, suggest interests in holophotography itself, as well as hinting at a love of nature given how often it is the subject of the holopics. If A'vimala is skilled in cracking safes, she will learn from the documents inside of Elettra's medical, educational, and military history, as well as the facts that her mother and father are both deceased, with her two siblings reside on Pamarthe where Elettra herself was born. Of most interest to A'vimala may be the documents for her airspeeder, which reveal that it is equipped with a transceiver registered in law enforcement databases to enable them to track the speeder in the event of theft.

Slumping down into her seat as though utterly exhausted to maintain the appearance of a standard humanoid, Cleite shakes her head emphatically as she says, "No, no medcenter. I told you before, I won't endanger anyone else. I didn't want to put you at risk either, but . . . she sighs to appear overwhelmed by what is happening before, after studying the vehicles behind them in the rearview mirror to try and determine if the bounty hunter is pursuing them, going on to say in a cadence and tone chosen to suggest that she is voicing her thought process aloud, The spaceport would be the logical choice for the Tusken to go first. She will expect me to try and get offworld. I might be able to get transport without her spotting me if she is staking the spaceport out, but not, she reaches down and winces as she gingerly examines the bandaging on her leg, with this leg looking like this."
Cleite can repair her own leg, provided she has access to the supplies she needs, and so she says, "The medcenter would be another logical place for the Tusken to search, or to look for our trail. Most of what I need to tend to the wound can be found at a vet, Cleite says before asking, Do you know where any small vet shops are? Or do you have your datapad so I can find one?"

With a confused expression, Elettra repeats, "A vet? Frazzled by everything that has transpired, it takes her a moment to follow the red head's train of thought, but Elettra catches up soon enough, nodding as she says, Right, a vet. I get it. Smart." Biting her thumbnail as, not yet calm enough to focus on any one thought for long, Elettra decides to stop trying to think about what is most logical to do and instead simply surrender to the red head's leadership for the time being; injured though she may be, Elettra reasons, the woman appears to have kept a level head, and had stated earlier that she had experience with similar situations to the one they have found themselves together in.
Having only grabbed the keys to her airspeeder when rushing from her apartment, Elettra shakes her head as she says in a frustrated tone, "I didn't think to . . . gripping the steering yoke as she tries to reign in her confusion, panic, and frustration, Elettra says, No datapad. I think I remember where one is though, she says, mind clearing enough that she recalls a veterinarian clinic near to where her aimless piloting has taken them. Checking her rear and side mirrors, Elettra peers out her window at the traffic below her before taking her speeder down while saying, as much to herself as to her passenger, Ok, alright, Ok, I think we're Ok for now. There's a clinic not far from here. We'll get in, and I can help you take care of your leg," Elettra says, biting her thumbnail again as she nods to herself.
Moments later, Elettra helps the red head from the speeder after setting the craft down in an alley behind the veterinarian clinic she has taken them to. Glancing around, relieved that there appears to be no pedestrian traffic about given the late hour, Elettra chuckles nervously as she asks, "I assume you can get us in without setting off any alarms?"

Knowing that the time she has to search the samaritan's apartment is limited, as it is only a matter of time before the investigation into the disturbance leads local police from Kallas' apartment to the samaritan's, A'vimala begins by looking for easily transported items such as the dataterminal which she can remove and examine more leisurely at another time once away from the apartment building. The safe, a natural place for potentially useful information, is not easy to remove, but as A'vimala believed the time required to break into it could prove to be a sound investment, she had taken the time to break into it and collect the contents before departing from the apartment building.
After returning to her swoop bike, set down a few blocks from the apartment building, A'vimala had begun to examine the documents from the safe in hopes of beginning to compile a list of possible places the samaritan would go for sanctuary such as any properties she might own, any friends of family members residing nearby, and her place of employment. The need to make a list, however, is eliminated when A'vimala finds the documents for the samaritan's speeder, including the means to track it's location. The documents from the safe also make A'vimala aware of the samaritan's identity and military record, which prepare her for the possibility that Elettra will be a more useful ally to her quarry than anticipated.
Slicing into the systems necessary to gain access to the means to track Elettra's vehicle without alerting the authorities is more time consuming than A'vimala would like, but well worth the effort as she soon knows where Elettra's vehicle has come to a stop, and is speeding off towards the location in hopes that Kallas and her samaritan have stopped somewhere for some purpose rather than abandoned the speeder and moved on.
Setting her swoop down across from Elettra's speeder when she arrives at its location, A'vimala scans the nearby buildings with her helmet's sensors, her gaze settling on the back entrance of the veterinarian clinic when the two lifeforms inside appear on her HUD. Unholstering her DL-18 after stepping off her swoop, A'vimala stalks towards the door while using her sensors to gain an idea of the clinic's layout and where the lifeforms inside are located relative to the rear entrance.

Nodding Elettra asks if she is able to break into the vet clinic, Cleiete puts an arm over the woman's shoulder when helped from the speeder, leaning against the wall beside the door and saying, "Keep watch over there, I thought I saw a light." Cleite, who saw no light and simply wanted to expedite getting inside the clinic by using the full range of her abilities without Elettra witnessing them and learning that Cleite is not human, waits until Elettra has stepped away before getting to work.
Prying the cover from a locked panel near the door, Cliete studies the wiring inside before, her hands moving with the dexterity and speed that are available to her as a HRD, deactivating the building's security systems without triggering any alarms. With the building's security systems offline, breaking into the clinic is a simple matter of exerting her strength to wrench the door open. Looking over her shoulder, Cleite calls out to Elettra, "We're in."
Wanting to preserve the illusion of being human, Cleite has no intention of taking Elettra up on the offer to help with her leg, and so once they are inside the operating area, she has the woman help her to sit on the operating table in the center of the room before adopting a pained expression and speaking in a halting, labored tone, "The pain is starting to get really bad. Can you try and find some painkillers? There was a cabinet just outside the operating room," she adds helpfully, commanding her artificial sweat glands to continue releasing synthetic sweat so that her pale complexion is convincingly waxy.
Her expression reverting to neutral once Elettra has stepped outside, Cleite glances around the operating room to locate the supplies she needs to effect some quick repairs to her leg that will enable her to operate at higher efficiency. Fortunately for Cleite, pets occasionally require prosthetic limbs, and the clinic therefore has Synthskin, Rybocoarse, and Bonemer as well as the mechanical components required to repair her leg. Elettra's presence, if Cleite is to maintain the illusion of being human, will require that she be creative with the repairs so that the leg appears wounded, and so the meat droid bears that in mind as she begins to gather what she needs to effect a quick repair of her damaged leg that will ideally not betray her true nature.
Glancing at a wall chrono after gathering the supplies and tools she needs, Cleite sees that nearly five minutes have passed and knows she will not have much time before Elettra returns within the time she has estimated it will take her to break into the medicine cabinet, locate the appropriate painkillers along with the supplies needed to administer them, and return with everything. Moving with inhuman speed, Cleite removes the damaged mechanical components of her leg, replacing them with a make-shift assembly that will enable her to walk until she can effect more permanent repairs, and then quickly covers the mechanical components with Bonemer and Rybocoarse, careful to make the Rybocoarse and Bonemer both look somewhat damaged to simulate injury. Placing a small supply of Bonemer, Rybocoarse and Synthskin in a sterile sheet she had collected a supply of gauze, tape, and other bandaging supplies to, Cleite draws the sheet in a knot and sets it aside, looking up and resuming her pained expression as Elettra returns.
"It wasn't quite as bad as it looks, Cleite says in a labored tone, wiping blood from around the wound with a gauze sponge with a hand she makes tremble before pulling a suture kit close and asking Elettra, Can you help with the stitches?"
A'vimala's sensors will show two human life forms inside the clinic, Cleite's anatomy so similar to that of a human's that even high-quality scanners have difficulty identifying her as inorganic, both located in currently in the centrally located operating room.

It is not until she has broken the glass of the clinic's locked drug cabinet after finding no other way to gain access to the pain medication inside that Elettra's adrenaline and anxiety levels lower enough for her to take stock of the degree to which she has let the woman she has helped escape from the Tusken Raider's pursuit assume the lead, following any instruction she has been given so for with little questioning at all. Pausing as she searches the vials and bottles of medications in the cabinet for the painkillers she had been asked to locate, Elettra takes a deep breath and tells herself that she needs to start thinking for herself before she gets too involved, hoping that helping in the breaking and entering of the clinic and the theft of controlled substances has not already taken her beyond some unseen point of no return. The whirlwind sequence of events that has led her to be standing in a vet clinic with bottles of stolen antibiotics and pain killers in her hands could, Elettra realizes in a moment of clarity, wreak havoc on the quiet, comfortable life she has built for herself if she does not start thinking of a way to escape the proverbial tornado.
Sacrificing her speeder, Elettra tells herself as she begins walking back to the operating room, would be a small price to pay if it means getting out of the path of the storm the Tusken Raider almost certainly means facing were she to try and continue helping the woman that burst into her apartment while fighting for her life. As she is reaching out to open the operating room door, Elettra hears a low growl coming from a corner of the room, and looks over to see a Kusak in a cage with a bandaged leg. The partially-armored canine is facing the rear entrance of the clinic as it growls, and Elettra frown as she looks from the Kusak to the door. Seeing no reason for the Kusak's growling, Elettra enters the operating room, putting the canine's reaction down to agitation lingering from her and the injured woman's break-in. A'vimala's sensors, depending on how they are configured, may or may not reveal the presence of the Kusak and a few other pets being kept in the clinic after surgeries.
Too focused on acting on her decision to extricate herself from the situation before she is hurt or worse, it does not register to Elettra that the woman's injury had seemed more severe when she had briefly examined it in her apartment, and she nods after setting the bottles of medication down when asked to suture the wound. Taking a pair of sterile gloves from the suture kit after opening it and setting up the sterile field, Elettra tries to take on a rational rather than apologetic as she says, "I think it might be best if you go on alone from here. You can take my speeder, she goes on, feeling oddly guilty despite having convinced herself she has no further obligation to the woman she helped escape the Tusken Raider, and I . . . Interrupted by the sound of the Kusak's transition from only growling to loudly barking, Elettra pauses briefly before saying, I'm sorry, but I just don't think I can keep going on with you any more."

A'vimala pauses at the rear door to the clinic, waiting for her HUD's scanners to complete their work so that she has a general idea of the interior layout she is about to enter. Noting that the larger life forms inside the clinic are in a central room approximately 160 feet from the rear entrance, A'vimala starts to reach out with her left hand to check if the door has been locked, wincing in pain and looking down at the jury-rigged sling she had made for her injured arm after her fall. Turning to the side to test the door with her right shoulder, A'vimala is glad to learn that her quarry had not thought to lock it.
Inside the clinic, the yapping of an animal coming from ahead of her near the central room the two larger life forms on her scanners are located, A'vimala waits for a moment before advancing, head cocked to the side as she listens and watches her the life forms on her sensors for any sign that her entrance was over heard. After the moment passes with no signs that the life forms ahead have any indication of her arrival, save for the yapping of the animal that goes on and on, A'vimala lifts her DL-18 blaster pistol and silently, cautiously, and patiently creeps from the rear entrance to the closed doors of the centrally located operating theater.
Hearing the muffled voice of the samaritan coming from inside the operating theater, A'vimala debates how best to effect the capture of Kallas without risking injury or worse to the woman that seems hell bent on protecting Kallas for some reason. Flicking her blaster to the stun setting with a gloved thumb, A'vimala adjusts her arm so that she will be aiming at the samaritan based on where her voice is in relation to the life forms displayed on her HUD, steps back, then kicks the doors open and fires a stun bolt towards the samaritan's center mass, flicks her blaster immediately to kill, and then rapidly fires a trio of blaster bolts - two to the chest, one to the head - towards Kallas . . .
