The first of the law men to get a taste of Krokh’s power smashed through a window into the corridor outside, sliding across the polished floor until he bumped into a wall on the opposite side. The others were simply thrown off their feet and knocked about with the debris that hurtled around the room.
Even Krae had to take action as a long table was lifted by the wind and flipped over towards him. As it approached, he ripped it in half with the Force, allowing the two pieces to go past on either side. He made sure that one of the halves found its way toward the young fella that had hit him with a chair earlier.
While some of the troops had been hit for a six, others managed to get to their feet fairly quickly and started drawing their blasters. The one directly in front of Krokh froze on the spot as he felt cold of the blade threatening to end his existence. “Hey now, let’s just take it easy.” He said, slowly reaching his arms out to a submissive position.
His commander was not quick to give up though. “You’re not going anywhere.” He said, rising up from having shielded his barely conscious son from the mini cyclone. He also drew his blaster and aimed it at Krokh. “Drop the weapon and surrender!”
By this time, there were quite a few firearms pointed at Krokh. Although Krae was curious to see how this would play out if he just sat back and enjoyed the show, he was compelled to join in the fun. In the short silence of the standoff after the commander’s words, the hissing and humming of a familiar deadly weapon igniting drew the attention of the room. Half of the blasters were turned towards the little red man who now stood atop a bench with his right arm extended at 45 degrees down to his side, holding a red lightsaber. “Mind if I cut in?”

Gravicus skulled one of the many drinks that he had placed at the table, and let out an almighty belch before turning to Ty. “So what happened to the base, man? That place looked like a crater when we got back. Thought you were a goner for sure.”
Arn also approached the table, but did not take a seat. He preferred the vantage of standing in such a crowded place, and positioned himself next to where his brother was sitting. While he waited, he took the liberty of examining everyone else in the room, to ensure that they were secure.

Arn followed Ty toward the bar. He was initially off put by the crowd that had gathered to see what the explosion was, but they quickly lost interest again, returning to their evening’s entertainment. He kept his wits about him though, especially as Clark spoke up. The unstable combination of alcohol and firearms made him nervous, not that it showed. Everyone’s weapons were secure, and as long as they stayed that way, he wouldn’t need to react. He continued to mind his position, footing, body language (or lack thereof), and kept cover close and exit strategies in check. Just like everyone else, right?
Grav made the most of the distraction from the bar to jump a few queues and order up. Somehow, he was already walking back to a table with his arms full of drinks before the others even got inside.

Arn cautiously step back out from cover to make another assessment of the scene. Two of the individuals had left under the distraction of the blast, while one had returned inside, and the last had holstered his weapon. It seemed like the situation had resolved itself, not that Arn was going let down his guard… ever. He sheathed his knife though, and helped Gravicus to his feet.
“Woah, that was exciting! Definitely deserves a drink.” Grav said as he dusted himself off. He watched Mirania leaving for long enough to be a little weird, and then turned to Ty. “You up for a round, boss?” he asked. “Arn’s buying.” he said with a grin.
Anyone that knew Arn would know that he did not partake in any recreational indulgence that could dull his keen senses, and also that he would not find it worth bothering to invalidate Grav’s statement with a response. He did however have questions of his own. Normally Arn would keep to himself, and not inquire into other’s business, but given the fact that he had not seen another Ace since returning from a rescue mission to find the base destroyed, the situation called for it. There was that, and the fact that Ty was a great source of intel for if anything dangerous were to be going down, which might be the case if he was here. “We need to talk.” He simply stated.

The commander glared up at Krokh with rage burning in his eyes. He was a hardworking, dedicated, and honest cop. He may have spent more time on the job than raising his boy, but he had done his best, and there was no way in his mind that his son could have been doing anything wrong. “You beat my boy senseless, and then have the nerve to accuse me of corruption? You’ll be going away for this.” He turned to his approaching men again. “Get this brute outta here. Lock him up at the station while we sort this mess out.”
“Yes, Sir.” a few of the troops answered. One of them stood in front of Krokh while the other went around behind him. “Sir, my colleague is going to cuff you and you’re going to have to come with us.” The one behind him grabbed Krokh’s thick arms to try and put the handcuffs on.
“Hehehehe.” Krae copped some strange looks, but couldn’t contain the laughter. He knew where this was going and thought it was a cracker of a joke. There had already been the twist, and now it was just about time for the punch line.
The commander got an eerie feeling from that laughter. “And take the Devaronian in for questioning too.” he addressed his men again.
“BWAHAHAHAHA!”

Arn wasn’t sure of Ty’s logic with wanting to confront the gun wielding, grenade juggling egomaniacs when he could just let them kill each other, but he would always have his comrade’s six. There was however the slight issue of only being armed with his combat knife. He drew the blade and held it up for Ty to see what he had to work with. One drawback of his current job was not being able to come to work armed to the teeth. Still, Arn could do more damage with that knife than most could do with a canon.
Grav grinned a mile wide when Ty suggested he look after Mirania. “I’ll keep her safe.” he replied, before turning to the young woman. “Just stay close to me, babe.”
Arn was about to glance around from his cover again when night seemed to turn to day. It was only for a moment, but Arn was sure glad that he was not looking when that thing went off.

Me, me, I am! Pick me! Oh, I'm ever so tough, pick me!
I would rant again on about the benefits of good planning, but I think I've done that to death. I will say though that with TMM announcing new arrivals, and these mercs rocking up when we are recruiting mercs, heck, I thought we WERE on the same team… Anyways, we’ve all had a lot of learnings and I’m sure we’re all better for it. On with the show!

“Handle a lot of weapons do you?” The commander queried, examining the sword hilt that extended past Krokh’s shoulder. He was slowly circling around Krokh to get a look at the unconscious youth that lay beyond him when he suddenly changed tone. “James? James!” The commander cried out, quickly kneeling down to the boy’s side. He looked up at his troops for a moment. “Seize this thug, lock the place down, and get me a medic. Now!” he ordered, before turning back to this ‘James’. The gang leader was clearly well known to the local authorities, but this was not quite the reaction that Krae as expecting to see as he watched on from his seat with growing interest.
James stirred back into semiconsciousness with a groan. “Uh, what happened?” he mumbled, as he opened his eyes to see the commander kneeling over him. “Dad?”

A green figure darted out into the street, and grabbed Gravicus from behind. Almost instantly the large man was dragged back into the alley again, where he was dropped to the ground. “Stay back!” a dark voice quietly but clearly commanded. Grav, having completely lost his bearings, looked up to see his little brother standing over him.
Arn picked a heck of a time to stop by. He often took the opportunity on his meal breaks from working local security to check in on Gravicus, making sure that he was not getting into trouble, but this time things looked to be more serious than he was used to seeing of late. That’s not to say he was out of practice. He had already made a full assessment of the situation based on the number of people involved and the weapons that he had counted on them while recovering Grav. His former leader’s sudden appearance had also caught his attention, but he made no gesture or comment beyond a glace to acknowledge Ty’s presence yet, and although he couldn’t shake the feeling that there had to be a connection between this and the sporadic outburst of violence, his focus was the individuals playing with explosives and firearms. He remained behind cover, waiting to see which way the sparks of this clash flew.

I have three points that I would like to raise, and I hope that everyone who is posting on Gyndine is also checking this thread. 1) Of the Hart brothers, Gravicus is Human while Arn is Twi’lek. Confusion is understandable and forgiven. 2) As far as I know JvS was not created for any ONE particular character and I don’t want to ruffle anyone’s feathers, or fur… but if everyone wrote in first person, it would be very confusing to read. If however, people are passionate about believing that their character is the single star of the show, then I will not argue the point. 3) Before we all die horribly in glorious explosions and gunfire over nothing, can we use this thread to plan a little maybe? For example, my intention is to somehow have Grav get into trouble whereby Arn is required to help him out while displaying some skill that might be observed and recruited by the forming team. 3.1) Oh, and is everyone who is posting at the moment to eventually be allied, or are some of the characters there to create a conflict that bonds the others? I’m a little lost… I will post here Seeing as I am the one who several of you're points are targeted towards (not insulted or pissed just wanting to address them) 2) I write in the 1st person, because this is my character and it has certain aspects that reflect me in RL as do all my characters. So I write how I feel, and how I would react, based on how my idea of this character Is suppose to be. You will find there are quite a few of us RPers who prefer to write in the first person. 3-3.1) As for planning I don't see the need Im talking with what I assumed is you're guys leader, and I will give another opportunity for this to end, for those of you who do not wish to fight. I write outside traffic lights, meaning I tend to write to kill and be killed. So Rping with me is to take that risk, if we enter a conflict. As for will we all be allied, no lol. There is 2 different groups here, When I had intended for my guys to gather here, I was not aware another group was here. Rather we fight to the death, or we back off its totally up to everyone evolved. And if we some how run into each other later then hey we have back story now. 2) Urdak - Fair enough comments. To each his own style. Thanks for the responses. 3.1) Everyone - I still think some OPEN OOC communication would be nice. Whatever PMs there are flying around out there have not alerted me to the fact that there are 2 separate groups. Heck, I may not even need to know, but I would hate to stuff up anyone’s plans because I didn't know about them.

Gravicus had started meandering back when he stopped to indiscreetly study the form of the Miraluka. All of the explosives fondling amongst the group was not enough to divert his attention, but the gunfire certainly was. “Woah!” he exclaimed with widened eyes, as if he were about to be treated to a show stunning of fireworks. The thought had not yet entered his inebriated mind that it would be a good idea to take cover right about now.

The gang was about to move on Krae, when their leader shrieked in pain as his blaster was obliterated in his hand. The punch to the face dropped him to his knees, and the second hit knocked him out cold, falling backwards onto the floor. The group looked at each other like stunned mullets, wondering what to do next… Their confidence had been rattled somewhat. “Oh, don’t tell me you’re having second thoughts now.” Krae said, sounding rather disappointed.
“What the heck is going on here!?” came a voice from the cantina entrance. The boys all quickly hid their weapons away and backed up slowly as the local security commander stepped in to investigate with his team of armed guards. “People outside are carrying on about some sort of fight in here. And someone has a blaster? I want answers people.”
Krae rolled his eyes and slumped back down into his booth, wondering whether or not to just fry them all and get off this planet. With everyone else backing away, the commander singled out Krokh. “What’s your part in all this, big guy?”

Despite several rejected advances, Grav was having a great time. In his case, ignorance was bliss, and even with the commotion thus far, he remained unaware of the tension building between fellow patrons. As far as he was concerned, this was a typical night out so far. Well, maybe a bit blurrier than most. He finished off another drink and jumped around on the dance floor for a while, busting as much move as he possibly could to woo the local ladies. He may have overly shaken his groove thing though, because a familiar queasiness took hold of his innards.
Gravicus had to push his way past a few people to make it out of the nearby doorway in time. He staggered past the combat-ready mercenaries, and darted around the corner into a side alley. A violent eruption of chundering ensued, as the bulky human filled a waste disposal canister with his evening’s beverages all at once. It may have sounded to anyone within earshot like a horrendous event that would put anyone off drinking for a lifetime, but Grav was not fazed. "Few, that’s better… Hey, I don’t remember eating that.” he slurred to himself.
