Froz's surface is barren as a result of devastation caused by the order of Naomi Dargon, the Corellian sector's Moff, for supporting the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.

A lone Frozian farmer was tending to his fields, smiling as he worked. Though the Frozian species as a whole was largely prone to melancholy, this particular Frozian had chosen to take an optimistic view on things. He was still alive, after all, and he had a loving wife, an up-and-coming son, and another child on the way. He had high hopes for his son, for the boy had plenty of potential, and he also had those same hopes for the new addition, when he or she arrived. All in all, he was at a good place in his life. Things were looking up.
As if in an act of symbolism, he looked up towards the sky. But what he saw there froze his smile in place.
A massive object was hurtling down towards the planet. He had seen meteors fall to Froz before, was used to their regular speed; he knew other worlds had faster meteors due to their higher gravity, but had never been witness to that. This thing, though, was moving much faster than it should have been. And it was massive. He turned and he ran, back to his farmhouse, back to his family. He had to get them out of here, had to get them away..
The farmer never made it to his home.
The Leviathan Seed crashed down directly onto the field. The farmer was crushed instantly, without a chance to even form a thought in his head. His farmhouse -- and his family -- followed almost immediately. The entire field was wiped from the face of the planet as the massive meteor impacted the surface, embedding itself deep into the rich soil. There was no way the farmer could have saved his family, no way he could have avoided his fate. So it was, perhaps, a mercy that his death came as quickly as it did.
The Leviathan sank deeper and deeper, finally coming to rest with at least 60% of its bulk still visible above the surface. The impact was felt for hundreds of miles on every side, and the dust cloud that was created would cover the sun for days on end. But it was done.
The Corruption had landed on a Core World without resistance, and even before the Seed had settled, the pathogen had begun its Spread to infect the surroundings. Soon, a Dome Shield would be in place. But before that, the Seed needed a guard. It had acquired the DNA of several Frozians during its "landing," though they were weak. It needed more, though it highly doubted that any one Frozian would fit the bill. That was of no concern, however, because the Frozians could be combined to deal with their inadequacies. Organic material was all that was needed in order to make an appropriate Echo, at least until the Seed's defenses were in place.
And, if this Core World could be secured without the Jedi finding out about it until it was too late, the Corruption could push further into the Deep Core and expand along the Corellian run, launching offensives fueled by a near-limitless army.
Its victory drew ever nearer..

There was no doubt that the tremors had been felt by someone. The Corruption didn't know what sort of defenses this planet had; certainly nothing formidable in orbit, otherwise the Vigge would have met resistance before the Seed itself could land. There was also no doubt that, if the defenses were worth anything, they would already be on their way to investigate the disturbance.
The pathogen took that as its cue to accelerate the Spread, sacrificing density for quantity and reach, in order to make it more difficult to approach the Leviathan itself. There was not enough to make a proper Dome Shield yet; that took time. The Corruption would have to rely on its natural defenses if there was any fight coming its way..

*The transport rumbled across the hills and lush fields of the equatorial Froz. Within, the cadre of troops and their commanders sat in mounting tension. They were a mix of Frozian citizens. Majority were the natives, but a smattering of humans, and other Republic citizens made up the Corellian Security force.
Several of the men joked together or traded paychecks in a quick round of sabbac. Jess however remained silent in the back, stretching out with her feelings to the Force.
The azure skin of the nautolan glowed faintly whenever she meditated, but the illumination was not bright enough to draw the attention of the troops. Or perhaps they were used to it. Either way, she was trying to get a feel for what might be coming.
She was not adept at connecting to the Force, her training as a Jedi barely started. But still, as long as she could center herself she could figure it out. The glow was enough to give Agent Logan a little confidence that they might get some extra information before they hit ground zero. The sensors were still glitchy.*
"Your cosmic buddy chatting much today?" *Logan growled out around his cigarra.
The mute Jedi frowned at the Frozian, then signed a rude gesture at him. It made him chuckle gruffly.*
"So still not ready to talk about it?" *Jess's concentration was interrupted with a quick rush of anger at the Frozian. But it was fleeting, and barely registered on her face. She signed something at him sarcastic and to the point of "it's a little hard to talk about much of anything when your vocal chords have been removed."
Logan only paid the flurry of finger and hand gestures the minimal amount of attention. The initiate was not the best at hiding her irritation.*
"You know, Tira'misu and Syren were much better at this whole witty banter before shit storms hit hard. But I have every confidence in you that you can fill the role uber magician smart ass with no problems."
*Her eyes slanted at him.*
"Don't give me that look. I perfected that look. Could whither daisies with that there stare."
::Going hot:: *The pilot intoned over the comm channel.
Activity suddenly broke out in the back of the transport as men and women grabbed up their gear and prepared to deploy.
The ship would make several passes before touching down, trying to gather any information it could about the site. If there was any indication that the site was not safe to touch down, the troops would be returning to the city. If immediate environmental harm was relatively low, they would be deployed along with the pseudo-Jedi Watchman.
Jess hummed a little Nautolan from her nasal cavity, the only sounds she could make after the battle in the Unknown regions. None of the men understood her, but it always made her feel better to know that she could get their attention in more than a Force guided slap to the back of the head.
Logan just grunted before edging around to the deployment door. When the green light when on, the door would open and he so loved shoving his men from high places. Special ops recon, you could only love it or hate it, either way could get you killed.*

The massive asteroid sat in the middle of its field, surrounded by a sea of blue, stretching out for two hundred meters on all sides. The closer one got to the asteroid, the thicker and more pervasive the blue; the colour itself seemed almost to be writhing in the ground, making the soil appear to be a liquid. The entire area was slowly pulsating with the colour, and though it was clearly not wholly inanimate, those with the facilities to sense the Force would be unable to make out anything from it except a general sense of wrongness. The leviathan gave no outward signs of acknowledgement of the approaching visitors. There was no immediate apparent danger, other than the ground being discoloured and distinctly unhealthy-looking. It was simply a strange asteroid inside a strange impact crater, with odd patterns and striations.
Dust was still thick in the air around the impact site, and there were still little fires here and there in the field from the heat of entering the atmosphere, but aside from all of this, it looked safe enough..

*The team descended just outside the edge of the blue ring. Jess could not put her finger on it, but there was a wrongness to all of this. Because of this unexplainable, "off" feeling, they would remain within sight of the drop ship and of each team. Jess took the point with one of the other officers as they fanned out in twos and Logan took up the middle. Two troops remained behind, just outside of the ring of blue. They maintained silence, even though the silence of the choking dust was eerie.*

As they trekked forward towards the asteroid, it became apparent that someone or something was watching them. The blue-tinged ground seemed to be growing less solid and more viscous, like walking through thick mud. The ground seemed to attach itself to their boots, as its eerie, unnatural blue clung to their footwear.. though in actuality, it was slowly making its way upwards, before it would inevitably penetrate the materials and dig into their flesh.
A sudden, dull laughter sounded out, through the minds of all those who stood within the field of blue, tinged with malice and dripping with arrogance..

"What is this sithspit?" *Logan tried to lift a his leg off the ground but found it firmly gummed in whatever the blueness was.*
"You could say you just blue yourself. It's almost the same consistency as..." *Logan jammed the butt of his rifle into his partner's solar plexus. The human toward over the Frozian, but taken by surprise, he doubled over with the wind knocked out of him. He took a knee in the blue goo and found himself held fast with the slow creepiness of the unknown substance.
All of the troops were beginning to find themselves stuck in the blue, unable to move forward, or backward. A couple of troopers hacked at the goo with vibroblades or shot at it with side pistols. Jess even ignited her lightsaber trying to free herself. Then the laughter began.
Jess raised the fleshy protuberance across her forehead, where most humanoid mammals had eyebrows, as she looked back at Logan.*
"That doesn't sound good..."

The laughter continued unabated, before being replaced with a deep voice that echoed throughout their minds, and seemed to go on echoing while being spoken: an eerie sensation, to say the least.
[[ We thought we would go unnoticed, uninvestigated, unchallenged. We thought that you would be weak. ]]
It laughed again. [[ We thought that the Jedi would not come. But it seems were mistaken. And yet, you seem to know nothing of us. You have walked right in, welcomed us into your bodies like suicidal fools. ]]
The ground suddenly became aggressive, small tendrils growing out of the soil and lashing up at the soldiers, trying to cling to them anywhere it could.. though the tendrils ignored Jess entirely. Instead, a sudden weight manifested in her mind as the asteroid brought its mental presence bearing down on her specifically.
[[ You are a Jedi, yet you have given yourself to us. Have you nothing to say, fleshling? ]]

[[ You are a Jedi, yet you have given yourself to us. Have you nothing to say, fleshling? ]] *Jess had the fleetest feeling of bitter irony as the entity pushed at her brain, more or less winning. At least she found some satisfaction that while her body might be consumed by this blue goo, it would have just as much trouble being a smart ass as she currently did, aloud. She gave a last ditch effort to gesture at the air around her, defiantly trying to throw her arms up in a vicious arm pump and an upraised middle digit.
Jess had never been able to do much right, since starting her path as a Jedi. She had been far too angry about Glee Anselm's demise and her drift throughout the galaxy to find much solace. She had known nothing about the Force for much of her life, and then it was as if the world had fallen out from under her and she had a whole new set of eyes. First Aydyn, then Syren, then Aydyn again... but that was really another story all together. Jess felt herself drifting to those memories from before all this, before Aydyn had taken her voice, before she had killed Syren, before she had found herself to be the only person really interested in watching over Froz, long before this moment, stuck in blue goo and probed by some supergalactic virus.*<<Figures. Froz would fall on my watch.>>

*This is how it was:
Jess had grown up on Glee Anselm until the day of its abrupt destruction at the hand of the Whills. At the age of eight, she was a refugee essentially sold into slavery on Duro. Instead of a name, she was issued the number UB-40. Her duties involved ritually attending to the metal reclamation fields, sifting through the refuse to find those recyclable metals so needed for perpetuating the factories on the most polluted planet near the core. There was a rich culture of Nautolan "refugees" on Duro, but they were not allowed to celebrate their culture in the camps.
Jess lost most of herself on Duro, however found that she was Force sensitive during an accident in the dumps one day. She was twelve when she Force pushed an overseer into a compactor. As with most stories of the enslaved coming into new power, Jess was trying to protect an elderly woman from an undeserved lash, only to find herself in more trouble.
Instead of facing a hanging committee of Duros, a strange man dragged her out of the trash heap, burned the refugee tracker chip out of her arm with a strange weapon made of light and took her away from the wasteland of Duro in a shiny starship.
The man called himself Aydyn and he was something called Calnennore. Jess understood that the Calnennore were an ancient, exotic race, but this Aydyn and his partner Ava were very strange to her. They were blue, but not the same color blue as herself or even the Duros. It was a strange color pattern. They had hair like humans, but gills like her or the Mon Calamari with fins on their arms similar to the latter as well. Their teeth almost looked like a Noghri's, but fewer in number. Jess only knew about the Noghri because the Duro master had one employed as a body guard. Ruhkuk had always scared her when he smiled, and she felt that same prickling fear when Aydyn or Ava offered her a smile. Overall, the kidnapped Jess tried to be very careful around the strange aliens and would take the next opportunity to escape them.
While aboard the ship however, Ava and Aydyn tried to teach Jess how to use the Force and harness her talents, but there was little success. Seemingly fed up with the progress of the new protege, Aydyn and Ava landed on a little known Core planet, Froz. Jess was amazed by Froz, the woody and yet industrial mesh was something she had never before seen. The Frozians seemed amazed with her as well. Not many Nautolans had visited the planet, so she was just a exotic as the Calnennore.
It was not until she was 16 however that she was finally able to escape the Aydyn and Ava. Despite her lack of talent, the pair tried to keep a hold and control of her to use in their schemes. And odd schemes they were. Aydyn seemed to have a lust for power, while Ava had a lust for chaos. It was a strange combination to be sure. Jess began to suspect that they only were companions because they were the same species, and she was right.
During one of the many fights between the pair, Jess slipped away into the night and forests of Froz. Since Jess was not a survivalist, her first encounters in the Frozian wilds were painful and full of thirst and hunger. In fact she was near delirium when she reached the sunny hermitage miles away from Froz City.
There she found another Calnennore, this one called herself Syren. Jess had tried to run from her, thinking she was Ava. The Nautolan ran promptly into a tree, knocking herself out. Jess awoke several days later to find that she was still in the woods and food. The food was some sort of fish with some local fruit and greens. Jess found this really weird based on what she had encountered with Aydyn and Ava. Syren was a survivalist apparently and something of a healer in this local landscape. She was not far from a few farms and a fishing village. Apparently she traded some "magic" for food that she did not catch or gather on her own.
Jess found the Calnennore meditating when she awoke. Since she was still uncertain about this woman, Jess attacked and was promptly taught not to do that in a series of blocks and well placed rebuffs. But Syren did not try to keep Jess within the confines of her hut. Jess escaped into the woods, but was back for food in a few days of unsuccessful foraging or thievery.
Since Jess had little else to do and no where to go, she stuck around the hermitage trying to glean some information about the Force from Syren. What she did obtain, was mostly philosophy and survival technique. Syren just did not seem interested in teaching the ways of the Force, more so interested in teaching Jess practical lessons like what wild plants would kill her or keep her alive on Froz.
This began to frustrate Jess, so she began to give up on learning anything from Syren. She made pilgrimages into the villages and sometimes went to Froz City, as if she were looking for Aydyn or Ava. Jess wondered vaguely if they had killed each other. The fight, during which she had run away, had been intense.
Instead of finding Aydyn and Ava, Jess met a Jedi Watchmen on the wrong end of the law. Tira'misu, a verpine in charge of watching over Froz, had caught the Nautolan stealing food in the market one day, and trying to stow away on a freighter another day. The Jedi and the Corellian Security of Froz had placed in jail for several days for her misdemeanors. When she was released, she found her way back to the hermitage, bored out of her mind learning the "ways of the forest."
Several months more, life became more interesting when the Mandalor declared his crusade on Force users, Syren's apprentice, Saari, came to town with odd news of Tria'misu's disappearance and they all left to meet with the Jedi council. Jess noted that this was a disaster, and her brief encounter with the Jedi did not leave her optimistic about using her powers for good.
They returned to Froz, to find the city in disarray. Aydyn had left a merry trail of destruction after dispatching the Jedi on the planet. Instead of sticking around though, both he and Ava had immediately left the planet so that the trail was cold. Syren resolved to find the exiles as she called them. Saari returned to Corellia to finish her trials with the promise to return as watchman to Froz, and Jess was left with the choice to go to Corellia with Saari or follow Syren.
Since Syren's path seemed the more exciting, Jess chose Syren, but Saari thought it best to drag the Nautolan off to Corellia. Jess found herself resenting the rudimentary classes she took on Corellia, but she could not master any of the more complex tasks. She grew more frustrated, and eventually left the academy to get away from Saari at the very least. Jess found the togruta unbearable, the quintessential Jedi.
Jess hopped a freighter to the outer rim and never saw Saari again. But she did find the Calnennore. On Tattoine, Aydyn took Jess on as an apprentice again. She found that the tasks he gave her were much easier and far more productive than those the Jedi had given her. These were practical application of the Force. She was delighted to finally have control over her power and power over other people. They had taken over a small tribe of Tusken Raiders, Aydyn's plan loosely involved banding together with a few other tribes, and becoming a scourge on small settlements across Tatooine. The Tuskens thought they would get their desert back, Ava got chaos, and Aydyn thought that this move would help in his struggle to obtain power. Jess thought it was power over the people of Tattooine, to wrest power away from the hutts.
Before the final stages of the plan could be implemented however, Syren showed up. Both Aydyn and Ava seemed to think that this was great fun and a wonderful turn of events, but Jess found this to be an annoyance. There was a conflict of interest here. While Syren had often been frustrating, Jess did not hate her, in fact if the Jedi would just leave them alone, life would be great. Aydyn's plan did not really hurt anyone that stayed out of the way. Casualties of innocent bystanders would be kept at a minimum. But Syren would not leave them alone. Aydyn and Ava hurt people, on many worlds before Tattooine. Syren would take them in to account for their wrong doing.
Of course the exiles would not go down without a fight, and Jess found the two more familial than she found Syren. Together they fought, but it really culminated into a great show with Aydyn and Syren dueling together. Jess was floating in semi-consciousness, watching the duel. Syren had apparently deemed it necessary to incapacitate Jess first. Maybe she was the least threat, the easiest to dispatch, maybe Syren thought she could be saved. Whatever the reason, Jess was out of the fight watching what she could of the battle from the sand.
In the end, Syren fell, as righteous as the Jedi was, it was not enough to overpower Aydyn. Ava had burnt herself out of the fight and lay in some kind of self induced coma off to Jess's left. Aydyn however, stood victorious over the body of his foe. But he did not seem at all happy about this. Instead of crowing to the suns, Aydyn stooped over Syren's body and said a few words. A brilliant flash of purple light engulfed them all and then receded.
Aydyn called for a ship and they boarded after a while. Jess had regained some cognizance and found that Syren was still alive. Aydyn handed over Syren's saberstaff.* "Keep it safe Uubee."
*After unceremoniously dumping Syren unconscious into the ocean on Dac, Jess left the pair of exiles. Aydyn obviously did not care where Jess went, she was not important. Jess felt that she had only ever been a pawn to Aydyn, and she felt terribly used. Eventually she found her way to back to Froz. She found Saari to be the new Jedi Watchman and trained with her for a time.
Saari had tried to ask Jess about her adventures, but the guilt the Nautolan felt was too much to really recount. She was tight lipped about everything, until Aydyn came back to Froz. She tried to warn Saari, but the Togruta walked into a trap one day and did not walk back out. Aydyn looked at his pawn disappointed in what she had become. Jess was tortured and Aydyn cut out her tongue, she had always liked to sing old half remembered Nautolan songs when the mood hit her. Aydyn left her alive, though broken, and she took up the slack as Jedi Watchman on the forgotten Froz at the end of the Corellian Run.
No she was here, being absorbed by the goo. A total fuck up at protecting anything. She gave one last look at the lightsaber in her hand, can't even keep an inanimate object safe.*

[[You are a failure.]]
The echoing voice laughed as it pushed at her mind, seeping into her body and reading her for who she really was.
[[You are, and always have been, a failure!]]
The laugh increased in volume as the blue tendrils made their way into her veins, spreading throughout her circulatory system, making physical contact with her brain. It laughed, and it kept laughing, as it celebrated its latest victory.
[[Look at you. Pathetic. Unremarkable. An utter and complete nothing. You are beneath us. So far beneath us that it almost pains us to use you. You have never accomplished anything in your life. Your watch is over, Jedi. Your kind was warned about us, yet you failed to even notice the warning signs. You fall before us. You fall, as you always have. And you can speak nothing.]]
[[But don't worry.]]
On that last note, its tone became almost tender. It was a sudden change from its scathing tone before, and one that was quite foreboding for what it could possibly entail.
[[We will make you into something more, fleshling. We will make you into something worth living. Your life is salvageable.. We are always in need of more Jedi for our cause. We thank you for your generous donation..]]
Her body spasmed as the Corruption took total control, testing out her muscles, before pushing her back up onto her feet again.
[[You will be our defense. And you will succeed where you once failed. You see, child, you were always in need of us. And here we are, now.. You are one of us.]]
[[Here, you belong.]]
The Corrupted Nautolan stood, its freshly-blue eyes staring up into the sky, a sick grin stretching across its face. Its fingers wrapped around the Corrupted saberstaff, its grip tightening as it turned to face the Leviathan Seed.
[[Welcome to the collective..]]
She nodded once, before turning on her heel and marching away, towards the two remaining troops outside the ring of blue, towards the dropship.
Towards the capital city.
Towards her destiny.
Towards its eventual victory..

The two remaining troopers had watched the fate of their comrades. Fallen over, seemingly at nothing. Cursing the colour of the ground. The troopers -- Lituna and Matula -- acknowledged that the ground did seem a bit odd, and that asteroid in the center of what remained of the field was certainly imposing. But that all didn't add up to anything worth getting frightened over.
Except for the fact that they had just seen everyone fall over, and the only person who had gotten up had done so jerkily, twitching with spasmodic muscle movements, before righting herself. And then the other started to follow, but they weren't themselves, not anymore. And that little bit helped all the rest add up to one undeniable truth: the two of them needed to get the hell out of there, right the hell now.
They turned and started running. There was no time to call the transport back down, they would have to just hope that they could outrun her. She didn't seem in control of her motor functions, and the-..
There was a wall. A sudden wall in their way, one they couldn't see, and when they went to turn they discovered it was more than just a wall, they were stuck, they couldn't move from where they stood. They craned their heads over their shoulders, trying to look.. And she was there. She was right there, less than two meters away, a horrible sickly blue tint clouding her eyes, a disturbingly satisfied grin plastered on her face. One hand was up with its palm towards them, the other was holding her saberstaff. She held that out, uncurling her fingers, watching with sick glee as the hilt levitated upward to float in between the two surviving members of the task force. The grin widened even further as she mentally brushed the activation stud, and the dual blades sprang into life, crackling with the same sickly blue that tarnished the nearby landscape. The blades pierced both of them, and they were able to look down in horror just in time to watch as she flicked her wrist.
The hilt spun around in a complete circle, bisecting the poor bastards, leaving a smoldering pile of lower body parts and viscera crumpled on the ground. They didn't even have time to scream as she flicked her other wrist, sending the upper halves of their rapidly-dying bodies flying into the now-writhing field of blue, their dying shouts nothing more than hoarse breaths drowned out by the turmoil of the ground around them, anxious and desperate to consume them.
Her gaze turned upwards as the saberstaff came back to her hand. The side doors were still open. The ever-present grin flickered, not with trepidation, but with anticipation. Gathering the Force around her, she leapt...

Years had passed since Froz had dropped out of contact with the rest of the galaxy. The Jedi watch that had been set up here had fallen silent, distinctly befitting the only actual Jedi who had been stationed here. The landscape, once filled with farmland and civilization coming back from the destruction during the Galactic Civil War, now lay untended and unkempt. Whatever life had been here, stubbornly growing despite the conditions, had long since given up.
The city had fallen quickly. With the Jedi defense not only removed but turned into an enemy, those who had resisted had been silenced without hesitation. Those who had submitted willingly had been taken quickly and quietly. In the end, all lay still.
Elsewhere, in what had once been a thriving farm, there sat an asteroid in the middle of an impact crater. The behemoth loomed over the surrounding landscape, casting a long shadow across the field of blue which encompassed it. In that shadow sat a single figure, a lone Nautolan, tasked with the defense of the Leviathan. She sat unmoving, standing vigil as it were, her saberstaff resting on the ground beside her. The sun overhead had begun its slow descent from its zenith, and another day was passing without incident. There had been no newcomers to Froz since the takeover; this was, for the moment, ideal. No one had come to stop the collective's Spread. No one had escaped. No one had known.
The pathogen waited and grew stronger, more pervasive, with each passing day.
Froz would be a central hub for the Spread.
All was quiet..

Nova watched as the captain piloted the craft down through the atmosphere before landing in a clearing that had been chosen ahead of time by Nova. It was, to the best of her knowledge, unoccupied and would provide a good launching point for expeditions for research purposes. As soon as the craft touched down and the cargo ramp lowered, the Soldiers in the hangar bay got to work unloading all of the gear. Captain Jorge took his leave of the cockpit to assist with the unloading and camp set up. Nova gave a nod to the captain "Thanks for the lift... Anyway, I have some work to go attend to." With that, she rose from her seat and strutted out of the cockpit. Passing by her quarters briefly to collect some of the boxes containing her research equipment.
Almost two hours had elapsed by the time everything was unloaded and the camp was set up. Several tents had been erected within the clearing. Some for accommodation, others for meals and Nova's lab. Jorge took up residence in the command tent, where he was keeping an eye on the Imperial ships in orbit. Meanwhile, Nova got to work planning the first expedition. Her plan was to scout out Froz City and see what kind of condition it was in

Almost an hour had passed before Nova had organized the first scouting party consisting of herself and a half dozen soldiers. They were clad in regular gear, since Nova had no intention of getting close enough to anything remotely bio-hazardous on this particular run. As the sun started to make its descent toward the horizon, Nova and her team set out for Froz City

Several large camps had been set up in the terrain to the southeast of Froz City. Each was equipped with life support systems to allow the large group of civilians that had been evacuated from Galactic Alliance territory to set foot on the surface of the planet. They had been pursued across the stars so constantly in recent days and weeks, that they had all needed some time on the surface of a planet.
Where before the camp had seen some semblance of calm, it was slowly devolving into organized chaos as orders came down from the fleet above to begin evacuation protocols. Shuttle crews fired up their ship engines, while soldiers began guiding the Civilians into transports. The wounded and elder were the first to be loaded up, while the crews began adjusting their targets from the battered fleet to the newly arrived Coalition forces

It wasn't long before the host of fighters and transports sent by Lynne arrived in the atmosphere. 12 E-wings loosely surrounded a tighter circle of 28 U-Wings that themselves surrounded 9 U-55 Loadlifters. This group quickly approached the grounded Galactic Alliance personnel. Any ships sent to intercept were quickly engaged by the E-Wings, prioritizing the safety of the U-Wings and U-55s over themselves if need be. From on board the U-Wing she was riding in Major Tethras opened up a com-channel to the forces on the ground.

Colonel Thomas "Leon" Leonis had been overseeing the hastily called evacuation of the Civilians and Soldiers that were ground side, when the radio call came from Major Tethras. He moved over to the comm station as the lieutenant operating the system gave a thumbs up to show their codes were good. Colonel Leon opened a line back Major Tethras, this is Colonel Leon of the Galactic Alliance, you boys and girls are a sight for sore eyes... A clear LZ can be found at November two-five-niner, Whiskey six-six-three-eight. We have shuttles in bound, but any help you can provide will be welcome, over.

The swarm of refitted ships came in for a swift landing. Out of them poured marines and commandos, and into them where aided the wounded first, civilians second, and all other personal after that. As soon as a ship was filled, it was racing back up toward the fleet to unload and make the trip again.
Making her way to the command center for this camp, Merrill found the man she had spoken to over the comms.
=Merrill= Colonel, what's the situation? Have the Imps made landfall?
