The sensor tech watched her console nervously. And then-
"Sir! The missiles just...vanished!"
Gulliver nodded.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much. Probably just a retcon."
"Retcon?"
The big merc sighed.
"Occasionally, a writer will miss some detail or another and make an action based on false assumptions. Most of the time, they just roll with it, but every now and then, they'll void the action. In this case, they probably realized that our cannon were under the shield, and didn't want to waste missiles."
The tech looked confused.
"I don't...Sir, that makes absolutely no sense."
"Of course it doesn't. You're just an NPC. In a moment, you'll forget all about it and go on as though this conversation never even happened."
The tech shooker her head, and then looked back at the console.
"Sir! Sensor contacts."
"Distance and direction?"
"I'll tell you as soon as I figure it out."

"Sir the guns magically changed places and types how does that work?"
"Oh sometimes a character who is RPing things has them taken over by someone else and no one mentions where they are but the only listed defenses arent actually the defenses, and so once everything is sorted out about who is controlling what, what it is, and where they are, and edits are made to reflect this, people decide to be dickish and write gibberish posts instead of merely editing the one before."
"Oh. Imagine that sir."
"Indeed."

Memories were an interesting thing. Sometimes they were eternal, forever the foundation in which perception and personality formed upon. Other times, it could cut through the person like a hot blade, reminding them of where they came from. Walter had known the intrusion often, afflicted by a past that constantly rewrote itself. It wasn't long ago that he believed himself the resurrected edition of a Sion long ago lost; the pressure of his parasitic twin always conjuring new stories to elevate itself. And it had worked for the longest time as the body was forced to toss away integrity and conviction to retain control from a mentality with only a brain to clasp to. So when his creation, his prodigy, fell to the ground in a gasp of breath and pain, Walter was all too aware of the circumstances.
To hide in plain sight was the greatest deception a man could sup upon. It could feed a created life, swell it's corporeal realization, like air in a tire. Walter was no man of discipline in his former life; a chaotic entity tethered to this universe in only the purpose of destruction. It was bad blood he sought, soaking and dripping from the flesh, drowning the universe in a wave of hot redemption. The fire was what he had always wished for, the only solution to the problem that was sentience. It wasn't just Sith or Mandalorians or Jedi's, it was everything and the wave of destruction that followed quickly after. It had inflamed his power and potential much like the deception of his militaristic life now engrained his purpose. As he realized the dissolution of his inner being through the outward projection of an unrelenting man hell bent on warfare, he had found the ultimate solution to his problem, the ultimate method of silencing his inner being. Still, he wished to lose it all one day, to the fire, and quietly he mourned that he would forever be disappointed by the inability of his enemies to bring him his greatest desire. Maybe Ashrah could give him what he wanted...or maybe he couldn't and Walter would continue to grow from the discontent stemming from a child who would never make his father proud.
As Ashrah fell to the ground, gripped with memories of a life pushed upon him, Walter, in a show of literal irony, sent a blast of force towards him in the form of a Force Push. It wasn't aimed at Ashrah, it was aimed at his armor. When a person runs their car into a wall, they don't actually hit the wall. Nevertheless, the wall is the direct result of their injury, smashing their armored vehicle against them. In the same way, Walter reveals just the slightest hint of his aura once more, like a smith hammering an anvil, and aims the force push directly at Ashrah's kneeling chest. If he was going to exhibit weakness, Walter was going to make him pay for the viewing. He was pushing himself to his feet when his chest plate slammed into his chest. He coughed as he stumbled back and nearly fell onto his ass. He dug the handle of his chain into the ground, digging a furrow in the rock, stopping himself from falling over. It had been a loooong time since he felt the pain of the force, and even then, it was his armour that betrayed him. "Ow" He muttered to the air around him. His genetically engineered body, created by the man standing across from him, could withstand a substantial amount of punishment, but not infinitely. It would eventually kill him. He snarled, his right hand snapping up and unlatching his armour, the plates falling to the ground with a clatter. He was wearing his specialty armour, designed for space and heavy fighting, yet light, like beskar should be. With the chest plates now laying on the wet ground, he felt lighter, faster, and less vulnerable than he had. He realised he had become dependent on the beskar'gam.....his Iron Skin. Now he would fight without. He started to move forward once more, the clasp popping having taken mere seconds, his under shirt plastered to his body. He rolled his shoulders and neck as he moved. It was time to show his 'Father' exactly what he had created.

Delmani Altic [GC-02] Commander of GALSAF Black Operations Unit [BOG] The Hati SS-54 Assault Ship, ~500 Kilometers above Kuat surface, ~700 Kilometers South-East of Kuat City Delmani smiled slightly at @kaytra's response, then double checked their approach vector. The two vessels had so far avoided any contact with enemy elements, and were nearing their drop point at the mouth of the canyon Delmani had identified as they made their initial drop into the planet's lower atmosphere.Don't worry about judging yourself right now, Tatham. Delmani told the woman. He wasn't the sentimental type, but Delmani sensed a more heartfelt response was appropriate. Just make sure you stay safe once you've dropped us off.Delmani stood and grabbed for a support strap overhead, signaling for the rest of the team to prepare for dismount. He likewise notified the other gunship's occupants as well. We've arrived at the insertion point, everyone get up. Set us down nice and easy Tatham. Delmani said gruffly and moments later felt the vessel touch against solid ground. After a moment, the rear hatch began to open and light cut into the rear bay of the ship. Delmani waited for the hatch to open far enough to permit his entry, then stepped outside onto the rocky ground, both teams of Black Operators fanning out and forming a circular formation around both vessels. Delmani's rifle followed his gaze, looking across the rocky terrain. The mouth of the canyon surrounded them, tapering off to the South into the plains and forests of Kuat. To the North, the canyon itself rose to a great height on both sides. As Delmani checked over his commandos, he signaled for Leftenant Kaytra to take off. Thanks for the ride, Leftenant. He told her, waving both teams forward to take cover behind rocks and boulders within the opening of the canyon. As you leave, angle back East, away from the city, and come into the outskirts from that direction. We don't want the enemy to be able to pinpoint where you dropped us off, or we'll get jumped before we can reach the city. Safe flying, Leftenant, Altic out.Delmani took a deep breath and stepped off, entering the canyon with the rest of his commandos arrayed to either side of him, spread out far enough to protect them against explosive weapons and falling debris from the canyon walls.Soviet, Slag, break off and get ahead of us, you'll be our acting scouts. Delmani ordered, then made his way to Hoover and Gaunt, pulling two sensor repulsor droids from their packs. He pressed a series of keys on each droid, then tossed them into the air. The camouflage painted droids, which weighed no more than 2 kilos each, rose into the air and disappeared over each edge of the canyon wall. They would remain low to the ground, no more than half a meter above the terrain, and provide the commandos with eyes and ears outside the canyon so as to warn the Operators of any approaching hostile elements. Delmani and the group stepped off after giving Soviet and Slag a few minutes to disappear ahead of them.Comms might be a bit frazzled in this canyon, Del. Hoover noted. Delmani nodded. No worries, those sensor droids can act as a communications relay for us, in case Tagira and the rest of the force drops in too late and is lost from our comms range. The answer satisfied Hoover for the moment. I keep forgetting how handy those little things are.

Ander Tagira [GC-01] Lord Commander of GALSAF Armed Forces LAAT/i gunship on approach to Kuat surface Ander felt the gunship rock back and forth around him as they made their way through the upper atmosphere of the planet. Text updates from Delmani told him their BOG Unit had reached the surface of the world and were making their way roughly North towards Kuat City through a canyon system that split into three distinct branches. Delmani had planned to approach through the far right fork, and Ander had decided to split their forces between that one and the next fork to the left. The far left fork veered away from Kuat City and cut too close to the military compound to the West. As their cloud of gunships bolted for the surface, far enough out from both the city and the compound to be identified by established sensor elements, Ander quickly ran through their operation order one more time. For all to hear, Ander spoke over the Battalion comm channel.Second Batt will be split into two forces. Dog and Easy Company will take the right fork, Fox Company the left. Keep your anti-air craft vehicles centered in your formation for protection, with artillery units ahead and behind of the column. MAT-TE's will be arranged one forward, two rear, to limit heavy armor attacks on our forces from our Twelve O'clock. Any anti-tank rounds they send our way from that direction will have a greater chance of missing the column entirely if they have to shoot towards the rear of our formation. I want to avoid dismount casualties due to rocket fire. Once we're arranged at the mouth of the canyon, we'll begin our approach to the city. BOG Unit's already got sensor droids ahead of themselves, so we'll have eyes and ears outside the canyon, even if we can't see it ourselves. Anyone can link directly with the droids through their HUDs, so make sure to check it every once and a while. Once we near the city, we'll standby for BOG to report back with a survey of forces in the city, then we'll device a plan of attack. I can't stress enough, hit and fade is the name of the game here. We find a weak point, we exploit it, and then we disappear. If we can't disappear entirely, we run like crazy. We'll be entering the city outnumbered, but not outgunned. The enemy will have plenty of fixed positions and locations they won't be able to simply abandon just so they can chase us about. There's one other bit of good news that comes with that: The civilian population has been evacuated already, so we don't have to worry about non-combatants for the most part. That means that when we find a fixed hostile position, we can go big and drop a building on it instead of having to fight our way through ourselves, so make sure you keep demos on your persons at all time. Sniper teams will move behind BOG, but ahead of the main force, establishing themselves as quietly as possible before we start maneuvers into the city. MAT-TE's are to be protected at all cost. They are our heavy armor, and we don't stand much of a chance without them. Our primary targets are their communications. We have jammers with us, but they'll be limited considering the dense city scape bouncing our signals. We'll need to target their main communications hub, if they have one, and eliminate it. That way any support forces will have to enter the city themselves to find out what's going on. I don't expect this to be entirely effective, but we have to try. Platoon and Squad leaders, get back-briefs from your guys and give me a green to.Ander sat back against the wall of the troop bay as they continued their descent. Altic had arrived on the planet's surface without being harassed by enemy forces, though 2nd Battalion was dropping in with eighteen LAAT/i gunships, rather than the two vessels BOG had deployed from. Still, he hoped to disappear into the expansive canyon system before hostile elements would be able to track them down. They would be vulnerable within the canyons, but more so out on the open plains where anyone within range could take potshots at their forces.

*Kaytra gave a slight grin as Delmani Altic and the rest of the squad emptied out the back of the ship. One the hatch was closed, she lifted the Hati of the ground in a cloud of dust. She adjusted the ships course and took off eastward.*
::Don't thank me yet Altic. Days not over.:: *The Hatis kept its eastward course for several Kilometers before Kaytra brought the ship around in a wide arc. Now she was closer to the city and its defenses. With any luck, any hostile that would spot her, would believe that she was coming in from the far east and keep them away from the BOG units. The Hati itself was mere meters above the canyon, sometimes she would duck down into the canyon itself before cresting over another ridge.*
::Leftenant Tatham to Altic. How are things down there.:: *She could curse the canyon walls that were offering protection to the ground troops. Not only did they provide good cover for GALSAF commandos, but it also provided good cover for any hostiles. A small margin for error.*

The peaceful serene sky of Kuat was once again pierced as a Chiss Assault Cruiser descended through the planet's atmosphere, the shields glowing as they protected the hull from the entry into the atmosphere. Captain Drept consulted his holoimage of Kuat City and the surrounding terrain, that included where the w-165's were located. He then marked an area just south of the city, in an area where there was enough space to land, but was also vulnerable to attack alittle more so than the other directions. The Chiss Assault Cruiser slowed it's speed down once it had broken the atmosphere, before it opened the lower bay doors, allowing the 5 fully loaded up Király Holló's to drop free of the ship, before taking up a cicular formation as they descended towards the clearing and spreading out, their turrets trained on the ground around the landing area as the Assault Cruiser continued it's descent. The Assault Cruiser then lowered it's landing gear as it touched down, before extending the boarding ramp allowing the 17 Bulldogs, 18 Sebes'kad's, 9 Brumak class Heavy Destroyers, 4 Rhino's and the remaining 45 Prar House Commando's that were on foot descended down the ramp and disembarked from the ship. The Assault Cruiser then retracted the boarding ramp and power it's engines back up, the repulsor's lifted the cruiser off the ground and the ship's landing gear retracted"Rightio, take us to the east side of the city, we'll provide air support from there" Captain Drept "Aye sir. helmsman bring us about to the east quadrant" Commander Derrigan The crew nodded and carefully maneuvered the Chiss Assault Cruiser across the south east edge of the city, putting as much power into the engines as they dared whilst in atmosphere, moving into position in the air over the east of the city, the gun crews preparing to shoot at any enemy forces. Meanwhile the ground forces began setting up defences. The first layer consisted of ramshackle barricades between the 18 Sebes'kad's, which were parked at regular intervals across the south length of the city. The second layer consister of the Bulldogs interspersed between the Sebes'kad positions. The third layer consisted of the Brumak class Heavy Destroyers dispersed at regular intervals. Whilst the fourth and final layer had the Rhino's, one at each end of the line and the remaining two placed roughly equally apart. The Rhino's had their MAC guns deployed, leaving them immobolized, but the manned turrets still kept them pretty well defended. The Brumak class heavy destroyer's meanwhile were able to maintain short patrol paths along the third layer. Meanwhile the Király Holló's maintained air patrols, ready to deploy their passangers on board to combat ground forces. The vehicles had all been marked with the symbol of the Honoghr Conclave of the tribal eagle on a grey field, whilst more crude versions had been added to some of the barricades, almost in an obnoxious feat to show they were the only lightside armed forces willing to fight the Mando's and their unscrupulous allies. Each Commando was armed with a Prar Bayonet Rifle, DC-15M Side Arm and 4 Chiss Radiation Grenades each (all weapons coded to chiss DNA, with a small explosive charge built in that activates if handled by a non-chiss). Colonel Kratos, who was armed with an extra DC-15M side arm, opened a heavily encrypted comm link to the Chiss Commando's as the last of the defences were set upChiss of the 1st Battalion of the Maradvány Corp! We are here today representing the Honoghr Conclave, the only lightsided faction willing to deploy troops and assist the Dark Tide in ending the threat that the Mandalorian Crusade presents! Yes, our past may have been marred by the forces of the Dark Tide. But does it not show strength, determination, and honour to put aside our petty differences and fight alongside those who, like us, wish only to survive? Today we face the Mandalorians and the forces of GALSAF, an organization who's goal is to protect the weak and innocent. So far we have saved the weak and innocent, while they have done nothing but burn and destroy. They say force users are tyrants, and yet Lord Sinistra did her best to ensure that the people she "tyrades" over were well out of harms way before these cowardly dogs came to her doorstep. So I ask you, who fights the good fight?! Colonel Kratos A resounding roar of agreement went up from the Prar House Commando's, both on and off the comms. Colonel Kratos stared off at the horizon, waiting for the faintest sign that their enemies were marching upon them, ready to answer the forces of GALSAF or the Warlord Taung H'rel with a battalion of but 300 men and women

Once the fog of silliness cleared, the sensor tech was able to refine the data.
"Sir, we have what appear to be three dropships, not squawking IFF. Designated Targets 1, 2, and 3 respectively. They're dropping almost vertically, velocity well into the supersonic. Current location, about 200 klicks east, moving west/southwest towards us."
Gulliver nodded, then turned to the weapons station.
"How about it Guns, can you get a firing solution?"
Lieutenant Howard Clinkscales, the OIC of the AAA gunnery, looked at his console and flipped some numbers around in head. Average height that a reentry would start from is about 150 kilometers. These guys were coming in almost vertical, which placed a practical speed limitation on the craft of about 2,000 kph, unless otherwise stated. That would get them down in about 4 and a half minutes, but would likely stress the shield generators to the breaking point, and they would have to decelerate at some point, probably once the horizon covered them from direct fire from the estate. They had been spotted about 30 seconds ago.
"They'll duck below the horizon once they drop past about 3300 meters in altitude. That gives us about a three minute window."
Gulliver did some mental math of his own. If the W-165s could churn out 1 round every ten seconds, that meant, in theory, they could put 90 shots into the craft in that window. That was slightly impractical. But, they could put 30 well aimed shots out in that window, alternating fire from the big guns.
"Have each cannon fire one shot every thirty seconds, overlapped so we have one shot going out every ten. That should give the crews time to adjust aim."
"Yessir."

Ander Tagira [GC-01] Commander of GALSAF Armed Forces On approach to Kuat planet surface The stream of 36 LAAT Gunships made their descent through the planet's upper atmosphere nearly 800 kilometers South-East of Kuat City; well out of range of the primary defense forces stationed between the city and the Estate 50 kilometers West of the capital. They made their descent quickly, no more than five minutes behind the first arrival of GALSAF Black Operations Commander Delmani Altic and his team. On board the infantry variants of these gunships were platoons of GALSAF Commandos. The carriers shouldered the burden of descending with the variety of land attack craft that GALSAF used to support its Infantry Commando Battalions. Modernized All-Terrain Tactical Enforces, Artillery Pods, Anti-aircraft Tanks and TX141T fighter tanks accompanied the arriving commandos. The gunships would drop straight down into the planet's atmosphere a long distance beyond the range of planetary-based sensor stations and recon elements, then skim the surface on a quiet approach through the various canyons that riddled Kuat's surface. Their destination was a particular canyon South-East of Kuat City. The canyon had three forks; a left fork that angled close to the military compound West of the capital, and two others that leveled out South of Kuat City's suburban outskirts. The commandos would split their forces between the two right forks as ordered, approaching the city from within the protection of the canyon itself. GALSAF's BOG Unit, under the command of Clone War veteran Delmani Altic, had arrived just moments before and already begun their trek North through the canyon's right-most fork, acting as a recon element for the rest of their attack force. Ander knew that their approach was a sound one, though they were not protected entirely from detection. Their far-out approach vector would shield them against most planet-based recon elements and sensors, though he fully expected some sort of orbital force to relay their existence to the forces below. Peace and quiet, that's what the mission was all about. Within the protection of the canyon, their forces could hide out for some time, though this would prevent them from being able to enter the city quickly in the event that their Black Operations forces needed their assistance. Ander silently hoped they would not need such aid, as there was a lot of work that needed to be done within the city before they could hope to launch a sound attack. Phase lines and approach vectors had already been decided, as well as fall-back and fortification positions. Ander had already decided where they would attempt to enter the city, though that plan was scrapped as soon as GALSAF's forces in orbit alerted him to the arrival of a Chiss Assault Cruiser within the upper atmosphere of the planet. The vessel was too far out of their range to identify, as well as too far to be able to identify them, but Ander knew enough after hearing the term "assault cruiser." The vessel was bound to carry support forces to augment those already located inside the city, though he could only guess as to where they would position themselves. Ander surmised due to the primary support nature of the elements within the city that the Chiss vessel would deploy its forces around the edge of the city, adding a decent layer of protection between the attackers and the support forces already located there. Ander chewed on the inside of his cheek as he considered what to do, then communed briefly with Admiral Staton in orbit. The Admiral was hard-pressed to offer support, as they had so far been unsuccessful in inserting their full attack force into the station, and the gunships couldn't simply be abandoned. GALSAF would risk losing an entire battalion, nearly one-fourth of their force, if they were to leave the gunships unprotected and trapped outside the shipyard shields. Ander told Staton to keep him apprised of any changes; if need be, the Basterd's Hand would drop into the planet's atmosphere once it had escape the targeting field of the planetary cannons, and simply bring the fight ground side.

Delmani Altic [GC-02] Commander of GALSAF Black Operations Group Canyons South-East of Kuat City Delmani tracked the movements of the members of his team on his HUD, ensuring the proper distances were kept between each commando. They reached the split in the canyon quickly, and immediately angled towards the rightmost of the forks. Soviet and Gaunt had about ten minutes of travel time ahead of the rest of the unit, and so far Delmani had received no updates of activity from either of the Operators. He kept his weapon angled ahead of him at all times, scanning the upper edge of either side of the canyon walls, which were nearly 100 meters tall. The bottom of the canyon was roughly 300 meters across, and was filled with large rocks and boulders. Foliage filled the areas in between, providing Delmani and his commandos with adequate cover in which to move.Nothing yet, @kaytra, but I'll keep you posted. Reports back and forth every five minutes. Delmani replied to Leftenant Tatham over their secure comm channel, silently wishing the two gunships the utmost success and safety. All their lives would rely on it. Tagira and the rest of the force were coming in behind them, and would arrive in the next 15 minutes. Delmani's only hope was that they had managed to drop over the surface of the planet without much notice, as the battalion would be weakest while it was still in the air. He had received no updates on the situation in orbit, though he knew the Hardpoint had been destroyed by the planetary turbolasers stationed groundside, and a handful of Kuati LEO transports had been struck accidentally by missiles coming from Mandalorian forces. Whether they were missiles fired by Taung's fleet, GALSAF's own vessels, or both Delmani wasn't sure. He doubted there would ever be a clear answer on it, though the news was disheartening regardless. He knew their mission with the Mandalorians was at best one of those shades of grey, though GALSAF prided itself on avoiding civilian casualties at all costs. Each GALSAF Commando was prepared to surrender their life for that of a non-combatant, and as far as Delmani was concerned, GALSAF now owed Kuat a single soldier for every civilian that had died aboard those transports. Forcing such thoughts from his mind for the time being, Delmani continued onward, his fellow commandos spread out around him. Most of the time he was unable to get a visual on any of them, as well as their camo worked, though he kept a close eye on their icons that displayed on his HUD. Their journey was rather uneventful for the most part, and Delmani began considering what sort of defenses they ought to put in place throughout the canyon in the event an evacuation was deemed necessary. Quickly he began looking over the terrain layout of the canyon on the right half of his HUD screen, and marked three different phase lines, Switchback, Fallback, and Skyfall. He brought the team up on his comlink and dragged Tagira and 2nd Battalion's own leaders into the conversation as well.Listen up gents, I've marked three separate phase lines along the two canyon routes to string with explosives and other defensive emplacements just in case we get routed and have to turn tail. Phase Line Switchback will get a IR and smoke-screen, along with a MAT-TE and anti-armor contingent to watch our back as we retreat, if it comes to that. Phase Line Fallback will receive a contingent of anti-armor personnel and a portable missile battery. Phase Line Skyfall will be our end all. We'll string it up with explosives and leave behind a recon element to blow them if need be. I'm uploading these grid-coordinates to our Larty pilots as well, so they can provide air support in the event we have to pull out.Delmani logged the information into a datapacket and uploaded it through GALSAF's secure comm network. The full force would have access to it after on their own helmet systems, quickly bringing the entire fighting force up to speed. Content with the locations he had identified, Delmani continued onward through the bottom of the canyon with the rest of his team. Their speed bring them to the end of the canyon fork just outside the city skirts after only a couple of hours. The going wasn't slow, thankfully, though they were on foot. Lucky for the rest of the force, the bottom of the canyon was more or less even ground, with only the larger boulders left for their ground vehicles to have to maneuver around. It was then that Delmani heard a distant rumbling sound within his ears. He instantly dropped to a knee, hiding himself beneath the cover of a rock, his rifle tucked against his chest as he attempted to minimize his silhouette. The rest of his team had responded the same way, disappearing amongst the foliage and terrain of the canyon's bottom. Delmani quickly linked up with the two small scout droids he'd released earlier, catching a view of the plains around them outside the canyon walls. Off in the distance a cruiser of some kind had dropped into the atmosphere and made for Kuat City, but not before landing briefly to deploy forces. The droid was too far away to make out the composition of the forces, thought Delmani was able to watch as the cruiser itself lifted away once more and began to approach the East side of the capital. What do you think? Hoover asked Delmani over comms once the distant rumbling had subsided. Delmani crept out from behind his cover, gaining a visual on each of his commandos, including @ableaustralis. No idea, it looked Chiss though. Delmani replied as the team began moving forward once more, with a renewed sense of purpose. They're not on our side, that's for sure, or there would have been some sort of fight going on.Delmani silently agreed with that one, and began considering the possibilities. The cruiser's chosen location of deployment was likely due to the size of the vessel itself, requiring greater distance from the city skirts. Deployment within the city would have been more practical considering there were no concurrent hostilities on the planet's surface, though only if the cruiser had proper transportation for its occupants, which it apparently did not. They'll be setting up a perimeter. Delmani realized suddenly, broadcasting his thoughts over the comm channel. He heard Gaunt swear under his breath in Mando'a. Delmani quickly replied. No worries, that just means the fighting will start sooner than we'd like. Soviet, what do you think the chances of them spotting us are going to be? Soviet's response wasn't very reassuring. Can't really say until we can see how they've dispersed their forces, and what they comprise of. But the city outskirts look promising. There's a large residential sector between where the canyon ends and the rest of the capital. We could easily slip through there in the dense urban terrain and set up recce points in the various sky scrapers once we've penetrated their perimeter. For the moment, Delmani was satisfied with Soviet's assessment. Hiding out within the city had been their best chance to begin with, so the plan wasn't changing much. All they really faced was more numbers. Delmani could deal with numbers. All they would have to do was start subtracting...

After exiting out of the Estate, Gabriel quickly looked around at the whole war setup. On the way to the main tent, Gabriel couldn't help but feel the exhilaration of the coming fight send pleasure and angst throughout his body. Just like the rest of the people on this planet, he was ready for this conflict and he wouldn't disappoint The Dark Tide with poor performance. He would fight to the peak of his capabilities and then some more. He also couldn't wait to find out what new foe he would fight in this endeavor which made he want the coming fight to come faster.
After arriving at the main tent, Gabriel quickly walked up to where Sinistra was stationed and where she was commanding the movement of the different troops that were here to fight against the Mandos. Truly this was a spectacle to see. One person commanding the loyalty of millions of troops with perfection and accuracy that Gabriel could never hope to achieve or want to. He wanted to be on the front lines facing the enemy head on and not away from the action in a post set up away from the confrontations. As he approached Sinistra he began to call on the force to aid him when he needed. He knew that his fighting prowess was not the only thing he needed in this fight. He would need the help of the force and a clear mind to get through this.
Lord Sinistra, I am here and willing to put my life to repel this Mando-scum. Where do you most need me and my abilities?

"I see you have been restored to living flesh. Verinoma kept me abreast of your situation. We are facing battle and destruction, Electrix. Take position where it is necessary." Sinistra watched the display as blips moved in a danse macabre in open orbit circling the drive yards. She tuned out the din of men and women shouting orders around her, they were capable commanders and did not need her oversight to do their jobs. She had gotten them to this moment, it was their time to prove that the training and preparation were worth it. She looked down at the empty cup of caf in her hand, barely acknowledging the appearance of Gabriel. She held out her cup, her eyes trained on the display.
"You can get me another cup of caf or you can wait for the enemy to get here like everyone else."
The shield was holding firm, the armies were poised to spring at the invaders with single minded focus to repel them back to space with the ferocity of their roar. She wandered to the caf pot and poured herself a fresh cup as she spoke again.
"Lord Ramiel is charged with defense of the shield generator. You can go assist his efforts."
She waved him away as she went back to the holovid and brought up the feed of Lord Avius again.

The Defensive Line of the Chiss had completed being set up, meanwhile the Chiss Assault Cruiser finished moving into position just to the east of the city. It had it's shields raised and guns were at the ready, waiting to acquire a target to fire on. Captain Drept maintained a close watch on the tactical holomap read out, as data was being bounced back and forth between the Chiss Assault Cruiser and the Dark Tide forces both in orbit and groundside. Drept took note of the scans from the orbital forces, indicating that the GALSAF LAAT's were descending from orbit towards the canyon's to the south, south-east of the city. Targetting solutions were input for a large wash of the canyon's leading towards Kuat City, before 13 Cluster Missiles were launch towards a large spread of the canyon leading towards the city

Electrix bowed slightly to Sinistra. He stood several meters behind her. Watching the battle unfold on the various control panels and screens. He would wait, until he felt the moment was appropriate to add his blade to the fray. He smiled to himself in a sickening fashion, enjoy the battle, enjoy the deaths he felt...

*Kaytra heard @delmanialtics response in her comlink. But her eyes were focused on the Chiss Assault Cruiser that just came down from orbit. She gripped the controls in her hands almost anxiously. Her attention turned back to the GALSAF ground forces. From the cockpit window, she could see the large group of LAATs streaming down towards the canyons below. She could also feel the pit in her stomach grow a little more. Turning her attention back to her ships sensors, she began scanning the ground below. She was somewhat surprised to find nothing in the canyons beneath her. well yet anyway.*

The three Mandalorian Mandokar class Star Frigates streaked through the atmosphere at several times the speed of sound, their shields shrugging off the effects of the air friction at low altitude, compression condensation tracing their path across the sky. The shockwaves from such massive vessels moving at such speeds at such low altitudes actually flattened trees and shattered viewports that were too close to their track.
Onboard the middle ship Taung opened his encrypted comlink to a contact that he didnt think he would actually use.
Lord Sinistra. I think we need to talk.
On the combat bridge Admiral Holland watched the sensor feeds with care, noting the missile trails arcing out from the east of the city that was now close enough to be easily scanned, a ship was there, a smaller one when compared to the ships that the Mandalorians had brought to the battle granted, but a threat nonetheless. He didnt know nor care about what the Chiss Assault Cruiser was firing at, but it needed to go away lest it be used against the troops that the three ships immediately under his command were about to deliver to the ground.
We have a ship launching missiles from the east section of the city sir. And we have a line of life forms and energy signatures to the south of the city that looks like a defensive line. Density readings indicate military type vehicles.
I'll have that ship destroyed, and wipe out that defensive line. We don't need them becoming mobile and attacking the landing zone or flanking our troops later.
Aye sir.
The Chiss Assault Cruiser was hanging up just into view which meant they could use their energy weapons as well as their missile weaponry. With the ship hanging above the city leaving nothing but sky beyond, the Mandalorians could fire without fear of striking the city itself, at least with energy weapons, and missiles had enough programming to distinguish a specific sensor profile target compared to a city building. The three ships were only able to fire half of their energy weaponry at the Chiss Assault Cruiser as it continued to pass from the west to more northerly. 75 heavy ion cannons lanced out being chased immediately by 75 heavy turbolasers, followed by continuous fire from both as the air was filled with the blue white streaks of ion fire, and darker sapphire blue of Mandalorian turbolasers. Twelve 5m diameter rail cannons also let fly with their projectiles, spreading the shots slightly allowing a greater chance of a hit at the cost of potentially as many hits as were theoretically possible, or all clean misses.
The three ships were not only packing energy weapons as the technicians were informed of their targets and fed the missiles their target information. 40 heavy proton torpedoes and 40 Assault Concussion missiles arc out from the three ships towards the Assault Cruiser, each arcing in its own path towards its target. The line of ground troops attracted more attention from the projectile weaponry, attracting 80 heavy proton torpedoes and 80 assault concussion missiles sped towards their own target, as they get closer to their target they start forming something of a string, mimicking the line of troops spread out on the ground. These missiles were normally reserved for large heavily shielded or tough targets such as capital ships, but with ground troops being able to dig into the ground, it would work just fine in order to ensure their deaths, even if dug deep into the ground. Individual fox holes were of little use against such firepower.
Through it all the three ships continued on their path to their selected landing zone south of the main military base.

Her comlink chimed with the incoming message and she ignored it for the moment as she watched the trails of missiles track across the screen. When it chimed again to remind her of its presence in her pocket, she pulled it out annoyed at the interruption of her attention. The fact that it was encrypted didn't faze her, the fact that it was from him made her pause. That number was specific. She had wondered if he would ever use it, now she had her answer. She could not retrieve the message here, could not risk the chance to be overheard. She silenced the chimes and tucked it back into her pocket. The caf mug was forgotten on the table as she tore herself from the command tent.
"I have a matter to attend to. I have placed you all in power for a reason. Do not make me regret that decision."
The heavy air of the tent was replaced with bright light and open skies capped by the dome of pulsating energy. Sinistra beelined for a couple speeders sitting empty, ready to ferry orders or commanders to forward positions. Jumping into the closest one, she gunned it, zipping off towards the far side of the estate. Setting her sights on an area of increasing vegetation and ground cover, she sent Taung a reply on the encrypted channel.

Captain Drept watched as the Cluster Missiles broke apart a hundred or so meters in the air, before the smaller Concussion Missiles spread out in a cloud and rained down upon the Canyon, striking both the main exit's closest to the city as well as numerous "corridor's" that lead to them. The resultant explosions sheared rock off the Canyon walls, sending it crashing down to the floor below. As for any casualties GALSAF might have sustained from the strike, Drept was unsure, since the Canyon's seemed to be messing with the sensor equipment, most likely a malfunction that he would ensure was fixed before future engagments. However his attention was suddenly shifted as the holodisplay before him zoomed out, showing three Mandalorian vessels as they broke through the atmosphere and made their approach over the city towards the Estate judging by their present course. They had the Assault Cruiser both outsized and outgunned, a fact which was about to make a great deal of importance a few moments later when the flotilla started acquiring firing solutions on the Assault Cruiser. Drept wanted to curse what ever god the Mandalorians prayed to, wanted to tell the Republic where they could stick their useless support, and chastise the Jedi for being nothing but saberjockeys and having a severe lack of fleets and armed forces. But they were all things he could do later, instead he turned to Commander Derrigan "Commander, issue the Evacuation order for all non-essential personelle, fire everything we can in the air at anything targeting the 1st Battalion, and angle the bow 15 degrees ventral, with reverse thrusters on standby to slow our descent" Captain Drept "Aye Captain! Sound the Evac! Flak the Air! Angle the Bow 15 degrees ventral, make sure all personelle in the bow or ventral aft are either Evac'ed or in the upper levels, we have a date with the plains!" Commander Derrigan There was an affirmative aye on the bridge before the Evac alarm was sounded. Any non-essential personelle began moving throughout the Cruiser to the Evac pods which were launched as each one filled up. Meanwhile 30 Megamaser Cannons, 13 Cluster Missiles, and 40 Point Defence Maser Cannons were fired to disrupt the 160 Missiles and Torpedoes who's firing arc was aimed at th 1st Battalion. Whilst this was all going on, the bow of the Chiss Assault Cruiser was dropping down 15 degrees, leaving the ship hovering at a slight angle. Moments later the first of the Ion and Turbolaser shots impacted the Chiss Shielding Cluster, which held up quite admirably to the sustained fire for a few moments, before the shields failed and the Ion and Tursolaser shot's began battering the hull as more shot's impacted the Chiss Assault Cruiser. A few moments later one of the Rail Cannon shot's broke clean through several ventral repulsor lift controls. The bridge crew grabbed ahold of what ever was closest to them as the Chiss Assault Cruiser shook beneath the, what some would consider quite excessive and over kill, fire power. Captain Drept rushed over to his command chair and strapped himself in as the crew begun to operate the reverse thrusters, applying short bursts as the Assault Cruiser started to lose altitude as it started upon it's dip towards the plains outside of Kuat City. More Turbolaser fire continued to make more holes in the outter hull of the Assault Cruiser as the Heavy Proton Torpedoes and Assault Concussion Missiles that had been fired at the Assault Cruiser begun to rain down from above, a good number of them missing their mark since the Assault Cruiser had since moved some distance from where it had been when the ordinance had fired. More of the ship was shed by the Torpedoes and Missiles that did hit, lightening the Assault Cruiser's mass considerable, before a pair of Rail Cannon shot's cut straight through the main engines, effectively removing the ability for the cruiser to accelerate forward at great speeds, which wasn't such a great loss considering that their main perogative at the moment was to slow their descent. Reverse thrusters continued to fire in short bursts as the bow of the Assault Cruiser buckled as it made contact with the plains, before the aft ventral section of the ship buckled in turn as it contacted the ground. Drept unbuckled himself from his seat as the reactor finally died, having managed to somehow survive the assault, causing the emergency lights to kick in and bath the bridge in a red glow. Drept consulted various consoles that were receiving emergency power, showing the sheer amount of damage to the ship, which had basically turned it into swiss cheese "Well at least we landed. But I swear the Republic and Jedi had better have a cushion to bite, cause they are gunna get it dry when this is over..." Captain Drept Colonel Kratos had been informed of the incoming ordinance ahead of time by Captain Drept, giving him the chance to order the 1st Battalion to make for the far side of the plains closer to the Canyon's. The 45 Prar House Commando's that had been on foot scrambled to grab onto the outside of the Sebes'kad's and Bulldogs as they broke free of the makeshift barricades that had been set up, going full speed to get the hell out of there. Meanwhile the Brumak class Heavy Destroyer's turned about face, their pilot's knowing they wouldn't have the speed to out run the incoming ordinance. Instead they quickly pulled together firing solutions and launched a volley of 5 Heavy Concussion Rockets each, making up a total of 45 Heavy Concussion Rockets. Meanwhile the Rhino's, that were still clamped down and locked in position, turned their MAC Cannon's 180 degree's and fired, along with the 4 Maser Turrets situated on each Rhino, towards the incoming ordinance. A number of the Torpedoes and Missiles had been struck early on in their path by the ordinance fired by the Chiss Assault Cruiser, and a good number more collided with the ordinance fired by the Brumak's and Rhino's, clearing a few more as the Missiles and Torpedoe's formed a line to resemble the former Chiss Defence Line, causing a couple chain reactions mid air. The Brumak's and Rhino's fired a second volley of Heavy Concussion Rockets and more Maser Turret fire as the Torpedoes and Missiles got closer. Suddenly a large cloud of dust and debris proceeded the impact of the ordinance, obsuring view of the Brumak's and Rhino's from the ground. A few moments later the cloud stuck around as the last of the explosions ceased. The Király Holló's, which had been out on perimeter patrols in the air, had been well out of range of the Defence Line when the Mandalorians had fired. But they were now tasked with running sensor scans and getting a birds eye view to see if any of the Brumaks or Rhino's had survived the assault. They flew a number of sweeps over the area, doing a number of different scans, before on the fourth pass over, 2 Battered Brumak class Heavy Destroyers and 2 Rhino's appeared from the dust and made their way across the plains towards the rest of the 1st Battalion. Althought the Mandalorians had hoped to snipe the Chiss Forces from long range, no doubt scared of the threat the Chiss posed to them, they had mostly come out of it alive and well, ready to take their frustration out on GALSAF. Colonel Kratos then opened a comm line to Captain Drept Rebecca is gunna be pissed that one of her ship's was shot down... Colonel Kratos Good to know you are concerned about whether I am fine Captain Drept I assumed you would be fine... Colonel Kratos I've sent a call to the Whip for evac... Captain Drept You know she'll be pissed yeah? Colonel Kratos Oh, I'm counting on it Colonel... I am counting on it. I imagine the Whip will happily repay the Mando's and GALSAF in kind... Captain Drept

The troops somehow scrambled out of the way, quite impressive for guided missiles and men on foot, but the line was broken and the enemy ship was down. It was all that could be reasonably expected Admiral Holland supposed. Either way the troops on foot with few heavy vehicles were of little danger to the Mando troops that were about to be set upon enemy soil.
Taung got a reply. There werent many words, but those words spoke volumes, the only question would be if those words spoke of a trap instead. It was a risk that he had already decided to take. As the three ships slowed even more, now only 100 meters above the ground, but still almost 60 kilometers south of the Estate of Ten, the ships were now to the point where they could launch shielded craft without difficulty. To that effect the swiftest craft began exiting first, 39 sleek Leg Cutter atmospheric assault craft slipped out of the hanger openings quickly accelerating to fly faster than their mother ships, on their heels were 36 Royal Air cruisers, each with a turbolaser mounted underneath the fusalage, 110 Bes'bev gunships, 170 Primm'uliik droids, and finally 200 MAAT/CG assault gunships, each carrying a squad of Elite Airborne Assault Troops, some carrying Taung Airborne Commandos. The Mandokars slowed and lowered themselves to the ground, close enough for their ground vehicles to offload. The first were the forty shield generator equipped Mobile Defense Units which quickly formed a ring and activated their shield generators, covering the landing zone with overlapping fields of protective energy, each of them integrating their shields properly with the neighboring fields to eliminate dangerous overlap interference zones. The squat Besom class tanks were gliding off even before the shields were energized, the 300 heavy combat vehicles quickly creating a front of protective firepower, daring any lightning fast ground force to come and challenge them. 60 Abiik'aranar mobile anti aircraft/infantry fighting vehicles quickly followed suit, their weapons ready to fend off any flying menace with direct fire, laser fire, and short and long range missile weaponry. They also formed a circle, each vehicle sitting just outside of the mobile defense units, giving them better range and the ability to protect the mobile shield generators. Following them were the 60 Puu'tla mobile artillery vehicles, and the 60 huge Ram'or heavy artillery units moved to the center of the defensive formation and began setting up.
The flying craft took up formations low to the south, keeping the shields and terrain between them and the base for now until they were given operational orders, but one craft broke away low, slipping into a canyon to the south. A lone MAAT/CG with Taung, Demarus, and a squad of Taung Airborne Commandos slipped beneath the common range of sight, sweeping by leaving nothing but nodding grasses and some slight dust in their wake as the shielded assault ship quickly wound its way to the east, and then turned north once it reached the edge of the mountains. When it was forced to climb over a ridge it went through a saddle, the low point, so as to not present itself a target, either to be fired on and hopefully not discovered by sensor systems either. The ugly craft, but beautiful to the troops that counted on it for safety, it now carried the promise of both peace, and destruction.
Taung stood by the open starboard side troop door staring out at the broken terrain and the occasional glimpse of the flatlands and canyon lands beyond. Just visible as an atmospheric disturbance was the hazy dome shape of the Estate of Ten shield generator. It would either be a job for commandos to take out, or a very bloody battle to gain access to, and shut it down. He hoped that neither would actually take place.
Wait for my signal.
Taung stepped out of the craft as it accelerated going up the last ridgeline before the meeting place, turning sharply to port as Taung stepped out. As he was flung from the gunship Taung cloaked and extended his armors wings and activated the paired ion engines built into his armor and picked up even more speed going up the slope of the ridge before deactivating them just before going over the top. Still soaring upwards he slowly tipped forwards and let the wings take the complete load of his weight as he set a glide path down the last valley over the thickly wooded ravines towards the flat broad end of the valley. The only sound within his bucket was the rushing of the wind as the ground slowly got closer as he lost altitude. Finally nearly five kilometers away he threw his feet forwards and fired his engines one last time to touch down softly amongst the trees in a small clearing. He retracted his wings lest they get hung up on brush or knock him over as he was walking the half kilometer to the location that Sinistra had sent him. It was time to face the enemy.
