Rules: Standard GBA. No Armour/Weapon Restrictions. Top Ten Force.
Location: Naboo. Theed Garden.
You are inside of the beautiful City of Theed on the planet of Naboo. You meet your opponent in one of the many gardens scattered throughout the city, at the site of a large pool, standing calf-deep in the water. Various jets shoot arcing streams of shining water high into the air for decorative purposes. Blood will run red in these clear waters; destroy the peaceful scene of Naboo with your fight!

The Gardens of Naboo's Theed Palace. Beautiful. A Jedi with dark hair hanging past his shoulders, tied back from his face at the back of his head. A brown robe covered his tan pants and tunic; underneath, a white shirt. A single lightsaber hilt hung at his waist, near his left hip. Under the robe, horizontal across his back, lay two tonfa-style phrix hilts. His dark leather boots were clasped tightly.
Devlin stands and takes a moment to study the intricacies of the fountains. Breathing deeply, he tastes the scents of flowers and water on the wind. He walks to a spot near the center and kneels. Closing his eyes, he begins to meditate and draw the Force into himself. He feels it flowing in him, through him, around him. He smiles, content.

Xeonon walked into the beautiful gardens the Imperial Knight was enjoying some nice R&R after a long skirmish against the remnants of the NOE. This however did not mean that he was unprepared for a sneak attack by his Sithly friends, as with all Imperial Knights Xeonon wore their trademark red armour and black cape, nothing special or out of the ordinary like his more ornate ones back on Aargau. Unlike most times though he was not wearing his walking armoury, no he had only his lightsaber on his left hip and the powerful .48 Caliber pistol on his chest.
Walking into the beautiful gardens the back of Xeonons neck tingled almost as if someone walked on his grave and he knew why. Months ago he had, had a dream or possibly a vision of fighting here, were indeed he had been attacked and assassinated in this very room. Turning around quickly he looked over the door frame and was happy as a 15 year old in a porn shop when he saw no one there. Looking back at the fountain he saw a robed man kneeling, no doubt someone looking for forgiveness or rest in the place of serenity.
His loud boot steps would no doubt echo loudly here despite the sound of flowing waterfalls and chirping birds. Closing his eyes he stopped, he could feel the force flowing to the guy, not hatred and evil thoughts. No it was bright and enveloping, whoever this man was he was a lightsider and of course Xeonon being one himself would not attack one of his own without provocation just had to open his big fat mouth. Yo buddy its dangerous times to be doing that, Mandalorians are always looking for people like you... and like me Right now he really hoped he didnt fuck himself over and talk to one of those "rare" force using bucketheads. Even here on this world of serenity they could be lurking, ready to kill us. As he said this he figured what the fuck and immersed himself in the force as well.
He then proceeds to recede within himself, making it look as though he was just resting his eyes whilst standing. He focused on drawing in the force but everytime he did so it was not the "pure" force he had experienced years earlier under the tutelage of the Shard Eralam. Instead it started out calm cool and collected like that of a Jedi but as time wore on and he started to get impatient it shifted to a darker form. It flowed into him like he was stretching his muscles but everytime he realized he failed he released the tension.
After what felt like five minutes (when in fact it was a few seconds) of failure he decided to = visualize a well. He then looked into the well and inside was a liquid, submerging his mind into it this was what he was trying to find. He let himself be submerged in the force as it was meant to be. He felt at peace and as though he could do anything, be it good or bad. He then withdrew from the pool and opened his eyes to see if that man had moved. It was more to show that he was not a threat to him but also to calm himself, for it seemed every time he met someone one on one he always ended up fighting them.

It was nice to have a moment of peace and solitude after many of destruction and war. His world, for a time, was fighting. Sith seeking dark artifacts ravaged the Great Jedi Library. And even though it was restored, something dark had been taken. Its purpose unknown to the Cardooinian Jedi. He let his thoughts float away as vapor on the wind.
Devlin's ears perk up at the sound of Xeonon's approach, but he does not open his eyes.
The Force flowed through him, calming him; surrounding him, enveloping him. He was serene.
Devlin's lips twitch in the briefest hint of a smile; yet his eyes remain closed.
Though it was clear his attention was focused on the new arrival.
"There are few things a Jedi needs to fear, friend. Mandalorians least of all."
He opens one eye and surveys the Imperial Knight. Then closes his eye again.
"You should keep your sword sharp, if you think enemies near. Yet you do not even hold it ready. Why?

A very apt question indeed and even here although danger could be just around a corner even here. On this world that is totally not known for ever instigate a galactic war. Ever. Mandalorians are never to be discounted, they are some of the most feared warriors in the galaxy and with them declaring war on Force Users in general well... Leaving his statement open ended he moved on as the writer tried his damnedest to come up with a reason to fight. My weapons are always at the ready, I have had to learn that the hard way, having lost his right arm, both eyes and much of his body being burned. Taking the blade into his left hand and smiled. Im ready now Jedi.

A small smile cracks his calm facade as Devlin smirks.
"You wish to challenge a Jedi, yet fear to face a Mandalorian? Perhaps you should sort out your priorities."
Opening his eyes, he stands.
"I will acquiesce to your challenge. It is not good to grow rusty. As you say, war comes to us all."
Devlin grabs the lightsaber hilt from his hip with his right hand and ignites the viridian blade. Stand straight and facing the Imperial Knight, he smiles.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Devlin Dewe; not well known, but well read. I live in a library..."
Devlin brings the blade close to his face and lowers it with a flourish in the shape of an X.
Some might recognize the traditional Makashi salute.

Hmm walking tanks, or space monks with a couple super powers its a tough call The pleasure is mine Master(?) Dewe, Flipping on his own switch for the silver hued blade Xeonon raises the blade double handed above his head in an opening stance for Djem So. Xeonon Solomon, I live in a waking nightmare A Tad dramatic but it got the point across, as fate would have it Xeonon just had fight after fight after fight. The galaxy despite having known peace for countless generations seemed to be in constant turmoil these days.
Now for the fight, starting off slow Xeonon walked towards his opponent who was nearish a fountain (correct me if I am wrong) blade in line with his spine when he was roughly seven feet away he sped up lounging forward and swung down putting the full force of his own weight plus the added strength of his first implant hoping to muscle his way through not only the lightsaber of Devlin but also the mans own strength by surprising him.

There was a fountain near Devlin, on his left.
As Xeonon approaches, Devlin enters his modified Makashi stance. He takes a slight step back with his left leg. He stands with his knees slightly bent, his feet perpendicular to each other, right foot pointing toward his opponent, and shoulder-width apart, and with his body rotated so he presents a smaller target. He holds his lightsaber in his right hand and his arm partially extended in a midguard. He watches Xeonon rush at him.
Why does everyone always charge headlong into battle?
Of course, he was known to do it from time to time as well.
Devlin steps forward and to his right with his right foot, into Xeonon's attack as he moves his lightsaber to his left, deftly; hoping to catch Xeonon's lightsaber inside his guard and deflect it to Devlin's left. Devlin's left foot then moves to his right while he pivots on his right foot, in anticipation of an attack on his legs by Xeonon's silver blade (which may or may not happen). He flicks his right wrist and holds his lightsber near horizontal as he (hopefully) stands near Xeonon's left side. Devlin aims his attack at the Imperial Knight's throat; but halts his lightsaber's momentum before making any contact.
At least this fellow followed some of the niceties of a duel. He had given his name. It was good to know who you were facing; but some people preferred learning that through the art of the dance. Not Devlin...at least, not that he cared to admit. As for himself, the Cardooinian knew he would not harm this fellow carelessly; perhaps that was all one needed to know of Devlin Dewe. He viewed every duel as a teachable moment. Both for himself and for his opponent. And life as a gift.
Devlin smiles.
"Do you need a respite, friend? The fountain's water looks refreshing."
Perhaps he should not telegraph his next move so obviously, but Devlin felt there was little harm in the playful jibe.

As he swung, Xeonon was surprised he had taken the man as a head on fight kind of person. One who would try to match strength for strength, that or misguide him with his opening stance. It seems his guess was off and now he could pay the price, as predicted Xeonon followed through with the momentum given to him by the deflection to strike at the mans left leg. A leg that was no longer there.
As the leg was no longer there Xeonon stopped, partially to gather himself but mostly because the man had his lightsaber a few inches from his throat. The heat from the blade noticeably increasing but not causing him any real harm. You know I am pretty parched right now. Maybe we should go for a little dip eh? With that Xeonon reached out with his left hand lightning fast, and attempted to grab hold of Devlins wrist before jumping back. He would force his head down so that if directed to it the blade would go over his head. The location of the jump? The fountain. Hopefully if all worked out the two of them would end up in the thigh deep water.
If of course his gambit did not work out Xeonon would still do Devlins work for him and jumped in anyways. Just as his blade would hit the water in either case he would thumb it off to make it look like the blade was water logged and would not work. That however would not be the case as Imperial Knights were made differently than most traditional blades of the past using Bifurcating cyclical-ignition which effectivly made his weapon water proof. Hopefully this Jedi did not have the same make as his.

Caught off guard--though his plan was to knock Xeonon into the fountain--Devlin flips into the air and lands in the water with a splash. He flicks off his lightsaber as they tumble, to keep them both safe, and attempts to keep it out of the water.
Devlin flips over Xeonon. Plants his left hand on the bottom of the fountain and pushes off into a hasty cartwheel. Standing in the pool, he looks at his soaked robe and takes a moment to discard it.
"I was hoping to stay dry today, Master Solomon."
Uncertain if his lightsaber will work, he doesn't activate it yet; but holds it in his right hand, ready for use. He takes up his practiced Makashi stance in the fountain's basin.

As he hit the bottom of the pool Xeonon pushed himself up with a gargantuan effort he pushed himself out of the water. Just for effect mind you, when he came up water sprayed everywhere it was like a scene out of a movie and much like the macro this Kraken would destroy all in his path. As the water went down his armour he took off his right hand armour, partially in prepartion for later but mostly to let water out of his armour. As it poured out he smiled. Ah but Master Dewe its a hot day and we need to keep cool. Having opened himself to the force earlier he now jumped into his metaphorical well. Twisting his both of his hands in a circle he concentrated hard on the idea of a funnel. With Devlin standing in the water he twirled the water around his feet and raised the water around him in a vortex that would hopefully surround his whole body like a piece of chicken in a burrito. Using the force whirlwind in a round about way he hoped to get the man submerged in a mini water tornado twirling end over end round and round in the water to disorient or maybe even drown the man into submission.
Xeonon would of course keep an eye on the mans well being he didnt really want to kill him if he could avoid it.

Xeonon was not the only one to have prepared the Force. Devlin's early meditations helped in that area immensely. As Devlin felt the Force surge in his opponent, the Cardooinian listened to its rhythm to determine its purpose. Two ideas formed in his mind. Did he attempt to ride the vortex or damage the fountain?
Devlin closes his eyes.
The vortex began to form around his feet. Devlin knew that he'd soon be enveloped. Then, it might be too late to react. Could he outlast the vortex? Should he risk it?
The Force wraps Devlin like a cocoon. Pushing his Protection barrier off of himself, he flattens it and spreads it. It forms into a wonky disk--or a sort-of-flattened bowl--at his feet. The Barrier rides the waves. Devlin's balance atop his Force construct is precarious, at best; but he doesn't balance long. Leaping to his right after a quick surf before the swirling vortex orb crushes the Barrier (and envelopes him), he tucks into a roll.
The hastily--and inexpertly--formed Barrier dissipates.
Devlin lands outside the fountain, and thumbs the activation switch on his lightsaber's hilt. He points the emitter toward Xeonon's left side, just above the waist...it may just be in reach; but, it may not.
Nothing.
Devlin smirks and shrugs.
"Perhaps too hot?"

Xeonon had to admit, this man was good and he smiled for a minute as he watched the man escape from his vortex. He was not in tune with the force as other people were due to a little experiment done on him long ago and he doubted he could have escaped such a fun ride. Having released the force as soon as he escaped it Xeonon exhaled and inhaled sharply, he could feel a bead of sweat making its way down his back despite it being wet.
As the blade sprung out he was taken off guard, he was hoping that it was to wet to function and it did indeed hit him, however the armour was his saving grace. The tip of the blade about an inch hit him right in one of the phrik filaments. Having literally just wrote about the armour not 10 minutes ago I really dont want to go into detail so instead I will just do this if you want a full read on it. Of course that was only the center of the blade the rest of it was just normal durasteel which melted and burned into his flesh right below his belly button. Thankfully because of his implant he could also take more damage but that was not to say this burned like a son of a bitch. Jumping back before it could do any more damage, like melt through the phrik his face was a sneer to mask the pain.
As he jumped he did two things, with his right hand he reached down and swatted at the blade with his forearm. He hoped that Devlin just thought it would be a natural reaction, instead of him trying to short circuit the blade with his cortosis gauntlet. The second thing he did was reach up for his .48 Caliber pistol. While he was in the apex of his jump, he had it in his hand and he fired it. Sure he could have gone for the kill shot but he wanted to have the most chance of hitting so he aimed for Devlins center of mass. The bullet was a little different than most, it was filled with depleted barridium rounds, which upon contact the tip would shatter making it easier to penetrate armours, however as Devlin had not armour all he had to do was hope it hit him Not hot enough it seems His face turning into a pained smile

The viridian blade stutters and snaps to life. Shock widens Devlin's eyes as his lightsaber bites into Xeonon's armor. As his opponent's forearm crashes into the blade, however, it vanishes again.
Now, he was defenseless. Great.
Devlin rolls to his right, away from the fountain. Sweat from exertion mixes with the water that still clings to his skin. The barridium rounds shatter as they hit the ground. Shrapnel sprays Devlin. Bits of metal litter his legs, arms, and chest. Blood trickles from the wounds.
Closing his eyes against the sweat rolling down his face, the Cardooinian sighs.
"Any idea how long this'll be out of commission, Master Solomon?"
He holds his lightsaber hilt toward Xeonon Solomon before retaking his modified Makashi fencing stance.

His gun now empty he placed it back on his chest, while snapping his own silver blade back on. The tip was touching the water sending out a stutter of steam as the plasma touched the water. Its not permanent, could take up to several minutes though it always varies on the craftsmanship of the blade. Sorry about shooting at you, I was scared. Seeing as his opponent was defenseless Xeonon waded on over his blade held off to the side on his right his eyes clearing looking at Devlins right arm the whole time. Of course it was a rouse and as he made it to striking distance again he swung at the mans left forearm trying only to injure it just a small slice. Think I can leave the pool now Master Jedi?

His only focus, at the moment, was defense.
As Xeonon's right arm lashes out toward Devlin's left, the Cardooinian pivots on his right foot and steps with his left around behind him, counterclockwise to his right. His left hand hugs close to his body and move to the center of his chest. With two fingers and a thumb pointed up and two fingers pointed at Xeonon, Devlin aims a small Force Push at his opponent's right wrist in an attempt to ward off the attack and unbalance his foe.
He fervently hoped the edge of the fountain would halt Xeonon's advance; since Devlin was outside the fountain. Or perhaps stumble the Imperial Guard.
He grins.
"All yours."
He hoped his lightsaber would activate soon. A defensive battle was hard to win if one didn't have a defense.

As his attack swung by the agile Jedi Xeonon couldnt help but think of his fellow Judge Adi, both of them seemed to avoid confrontation and skirt around their opponent looking for an opening. As the force push hit his wrist it made him stumble alright, it made his back face Devlin, and he lost his footing in the water just as his legs hit the edge of the fountain. Doing some of his own badassery he fell back onto the ledge and did a cool roll onto the ground standing back up. Yeah I totally meant to do that.
May I? He said as he dipped back into the force, this time however it was a little different. Focusing on the mans hand, more specifically the lightsaber in his hand he "grasped" it in his mind and attempted to pull it from the mans grasp. Pretty much force Rend, the attack would pull the blade to Xeonons outstretched hand while pulling the rest of Devlins body the other way. If he lost a few fingers in the process well...
All the while his own blade was prepared to strike but held loosely at his side.

Devlin feels the tug on his lightsaber and simply lets go. His body moves away from the lightsaber hilt. The hilt flew toward Xeonon's outstretched hand.
Devlin stares into his opponent's eyes and smirked.
"Now you've done it, friend."
He reaches both hands behind his back and grips the two tonfa-style, phrik, lightsaber hilts secured there. He grips the t-handles and holds the butts of the hilts pointing toward his fists and the emitters pointing toward his elbows. However, he keeps his hands behind his back for a moment and the lightsabers disengaged. Calm radiates from the Jedi, the hermit of Ossus.
He had to admit, he was relishing an opportunity to try out his newest lightsabers. And, ever since losing one to Mike Frantz many duels ago, he had sought to carry a suitable replacement. Time to discover if these would do.

As he caught the blade in his hand he dropped it behind him letting it hit the bottom of the pool hopefully taking it out of commission for the rest of the duel. Maybe that was a mistake, maybe not only time will tell if he will learn to regret this. Those look pretty nifty gotta show me how to make em and stuff after this. Switching hands Xeonon raised his silver blade to throat height so that the blade goes in front of his neck. Your turn.

Devlin watches his lightsaber--faithful and trustworthy--fall into the fountain and made a mental note to retrieve as soon as possible. Moving his arms out from behind his back, he grins.
"It just takes time...and a friend with a little phrik alloy."
He ignites the viridian blades. They spring to life with a familiar snap-hiss. The blades extend past his elbows. He takes a modified Ataru stance. Devlin stands in a semi-croutch with his feet shoulder-width apart with the left foot slightly forward and the right slightly back. He holds his left hand out in front of his body and his right behind him.
Then he moves. Blood drips onto the ground from the shrapnel wounds in his arms, legs, and torso. Sweat mixes with it as it falls from his face and body. The fountain's water forms puddles on the ground. Each step precise, Devlin with careful footing reaches just within reach of his opponent.
The Cardooinian steps forward with his left foot. His left arm comes up in and attempt to strike underneath Xeonon's blade with the butt of Devlin's hilt.
"But, you should've kept the second lightsaber. You're at a disadvantage, friend."
