The Emperor had arrived a few days, upon the Resurgent-class Battlecruiser, Imperatix, before the launching of the Autarch-class Star Destroyer. He had seen the blueprints of the design and how it was supposed to be an Imperial-class version of the larger Resurgent. Over a thousand meters small, yet it had an impressive array of weapons, starfighter complement, and troop capacity. Already, Kuat Drive Yards was set to construct several more for the Imperial Navy. Nicademus stood upon the bridge of the Imperatrix as it slowly moved past the Autarch-class itself. With him were senior members of the Imperial Navy who had come to witness the ship itself. It would certainly be an ideal addition as a command ship and frontline warship. Even though the Galactic Alliance was done for, the Imperial military was still churning out new technology in both the Armed Forces and Naval categories. Autarch was just the first in a series of new ships to come, however, it was to be the largest of the new additions to the First Order's navies.

Garrick continued to observe out the large forward windows of the bridge as the ships systems were all tested one by one, for the last time before it would take leave of the dry dock where it had been constructed. There was no need to embarrass themselves in front of the members of Imperial High Command. The darker, more ominous color of the Resurgent contrasted heavily with the lighter, almost silvery color of the Autarch's hull as it floated by the smaller ship. While the Autarch was completely dwarfed, it was meant to be as so. With the war in its final stages, the need for a front line warship was less than the need for a smaller warship that could control a system. While the Imperial might have been adequate in this role, its designers made several perplexing choices when building the ship, leaving it as an uncomfortable compromise between the two roles. A ship that was neither good at one or the other. Mediocre at best, it now was best served as a mere transport ship.
The Autarch, on the other hand, was designed almost exclusively to fulfill the role of system scale control and counterterrorist operations. From its inception in the mind of Garrick Need, it was specifically designed to fill this role. While it could serve on the front line, its true value would come to be shown in stopping rebel activities. With features borrowed from Rebel ships far more well suited for the purpose, while still maintaining classical Imperial design philosophy, the ship is the product of a man who knows his enemy well, and he hoped it would live up to the name of the Imperial I and II.
After the final few checks, the ship was ready for launch. Garrick signaled for the crews on the shipyard to prepare to launch the ship. At the same time, he switched over to the full fleet intercom and prepared to broadcast his speech. This was the moment he had been waiting for. This project had remained in the shadows for so long, and now was the time for it to be revealed.
"Soldiers of the Autarch! The decades long history of our Imperial nation are written with blood and iron. Almost every generation had to reach for the sword to fight for the rights of the survival of the Empire and nation or to defend its existence and its freedom against its hostile surroundings. For us the call has come again to join in the great struggle for freedom and the survival of our nation and the existence of the First Order that was created by Emperor Delvardus. Today, we are being endowed and entrusted with a new and awe-inspiring weapon made from steel and iron, our new ship. Today, it will be brought to life by our crew which is empowered to blend iron and blood into a powerful symphony of iron-willed devotion to duty and conviction, and with red-blooded vigor and fighting spirit the highest military goals shall be achieved. This ship, our ship, as we can call it from this day forth, is the fastest, strongest and best Star Destroyer that has ever been launched by any Imperial or foreign shipyard. We feel pride and gratitude that we have been chosen to take this formidable instrument of power of the Imperial naval power into possession from the hands of its builders. For more than 4 years Imperial designers, engineers, and workers from many planets, and especially from this large shipyard, have contributed and labored with their intellect and with the strength of their hands and with their know-how to complete this proud proof of their labors, by delivering to the Imperial soldiers a Star Destroyer with unsurpassable fighting ability and steadfastness. We, the crew of this ship, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the grand piece of workmanship. We take it over from you with the solemn promise that we will give it from now on our care, our love, and our devotion. Fellow crewmen! The battleship "Autarch" is now in commission. Today, the Emperor himself stands among us, to witness this moment. Let us remember at this moment the ending remarks of his speech which he delivered at the transition of our proud nation into a true Empire, and this is what he said: "Today, the First Order shall become an Empire. The strongest and most stable Empire seen since the days of the Old Empire. An Empire that has evolved with the present, an Empire that has endured the hardships of war and emerged stronger than ever before. Today, I stand before you, not as your Supreme Commander, but as your Emperor of a resurgent Empire! Today, our destiny is fulfilled! Today, our vision is realized! Today, the Empire is reborn!" Comrades, something the Emperor could only predict 1 year ago has now turned into reality. Already, numerous opponents have been thrown to the ground and have been destroyed by the glorious deeds of our armed forces. Only one, our archenemy, the Rebellion, remains. We pledge herewith that we will do honor to the citizens of the Empire, and that we will prove ourselves worthy of standing beside our Emperor and observant of his commands. Ad Victoriam!"
Though not the sort of speech he would ordinarily give, it would have to suffice, what with the Imperial fleet being here. Plus, this was supposed to be a joyous day, and if he wanted to at least be tolerated by the High Command, he would have to make this gesture. As these thoughts swirled through his head, a bottle of wine that had been brought all the way from Naboo was broken on the front of the ship, officially naming the ship. A few seconds later, the crackle of electricity followed by the hiss of pneumatics and the groan of moving metal were heard as the massive electromagnetic clamps holding the ship in place were released, freeing the ship from the dry dock for the first time in its existence. The massive engines activated soon after allowing the ship to join the rest of the flat, much to the cheers of those aboard. Garrick heard the pop and fizz f a bottle of champagne behind him, followed by the pouring of the beverage. Accepting a glass, he, alongside the members of his veteran crew, toasted the launch of their new ship.

Bilbringi shipyards was a rather busy section of the Empire's territories. It was one of the main routes that connected the Rimward and Coreward regions of the First Order. As a result, trade came in and out of the system, under the watchful eye of the strong military presence in the system. Yet, despite the acquisition of the more popular Kuat and Rendili shipyards, Bilbringi remained a strong choice, by the Empire's military research, for the testing and construction of more modern warships for the Imperial Navy. Bilbringi had been honored with the construction of the first Conservator and Regulator-class Star Destroyers, as well as the previously made Autarch-class, among other great honors. It was even one of the locations were parts for the First Order's Executor-class Dreadnought were manufactured before being shipped to the Deep Core where a secret shipyard lied. Many Imperial predecessors had favored this system and this most recent Empire was doing the same.

Faust finished his debriefing in the ready room. Main take-away: With the increase in traffic along the Namadii hyperspace corridor, Bilbringi expected increased pirate activity in the sector. High Command intended to increase patrols and reinforce the military presence on Bilbringi. To do this, the First Order was offering re-enlistment bonuses to the pilots that voluntarily joined the Imperial forces. It cost an estimated 10.5 million"7 to train a pilot, or so they said, and they were loath to lose pilots to some of the impressive civilian companies hiring pilots. As previously emphasized, traffic was increasing along First Order hyperspace routes and that was creating great demand for good pilots, mechanics, and flight crew. Being a graduate of the Imperial naval academy and Imperial Flight School were the best credentials out there.
Faust carried his flight bag to the locker room, where he showered and packed up his things. Today's patrol was his last of his tour of duty.
Faust had listened politely to the recruitment officers as they pitched the bonuses and advantages of signing on again for another tour. As a first lieutenant with his experience, he would be eligible to apply for the rank of commander, and upon successful review, and completion of an advanced leadership aptitude test, be promoted to Wing Commander, reporting to the Flight Commander. Essentially a commander rank, junior grade; which was one step below Flight Commander (senior grade), and two steps below Squadron Commander. Sign on for another 3 years and ... Blah Blah Blah. Sign on for 6 years, and Blah, be promoted to a position that involved less flying.
Faust stopped listening and gave them a non-committal answer. He would make up his mind in a month; He reminded them that he was now subject to the mandated Rest and Relaxation period. The recruiters doggedly pressed him that Lt. Faust had 90 days to re-enlist, and he could do that by reporting to any First Order naval installation with his Naval ID and bringing his notarized Affirmation of Duty papers. His credentials to enter naval installations would be valid for 90 days.
Faust had already served 5 years, not including the Acadamy and flight school. He was looking forward to some R and R. With his bags packed, he headed to the main hanger to catch the first transport to Corescant.

The Blackguard imperium Lambda class shuttle arrived and landed in the main hanger. The shuttle's ramp dropped and a figure clad in a sith burial shroud descended.
An honor guard smartly stood at attention to meet this Lord Havok from the Blackguards. A hologram of the Platform commander was projected. "Greetings Lord Havok. What may we do for an emissary of the Blackguard Imperium?"
The figure ignored the question and lifted his head to see the symbols of the First Order emblazoned around the hanger. "I am here. I am home. But this is not home. You know my name, but who are you?"
"I am the station commander. I am unfortunately unable to be here in person, given the short notice of your arrival."
"Name. Not title. You look familiar."
"Commander Malice."
"Malice," Havok spoke. "A family name? related to the Primus Admiral J. A. Malice?"
"Sir, with respect, yes to both; though I am not sure why you are asking about my grandfather."
"Ah, Of Course. That makes sense." Thoughtfully. "I knew your grandfather. He had a singular genius for tactics and strategy." Suddenly changing the topic: "The New Order of the Eye does not control this station?"
"Sir, the First Order controls this system. The Order of the Eye has not existed for quite some time. And as far as I know, it was never "New" it was always,'The Order of the Eye'." The commander was not used to these... odd questions, and was guarded in his answer. He was not an expert in historic galactic politics.
The figure inhaled suddenly at what seemed to be breaking news. "I am sadened." He changed the subject "I need refreshment after my journey. It has been hard."
"Sir, where are my manners! Please follow my adjutant, he will take you to our hospitality suite. We will discuss your journey and the Blackguard Imperium's business further." It was possible that the emissary was not willing to discuss his business out in the open.
"Thank you," The figure seemed suddenly tired upon hearing of the extinction of the Order he helped to found.
An adjutant stepped forward and saluted the dignitary smartly. "My Lord Havok, Please follow me."
Havok nodded and followed the young man as he led them out of the hanger.
Havok mummered as he walked. "I could not see it, because I wished not to see it..."

In the hospitality suite "What interest has the Blackguard Imperium in Bilbringi?" Commander Malice's hologram inquired again. "What is the Blackguard Imperium?" "I find it difficult to believe that one can arrive on this station in a Blackguard shuttle, without knowing what the Blackguard Imperium is." Malice continued anyway; "It is a league of sith and users of the dark side of the mystical 'force' ability. They also might claim to be a faction of the Imperial Remnant." The commander paused. "You are a Blackguard, are you not?" "No. I am the last High Lord of the New Order of the Eye. A Sith, from a certain point of view."
The commander eased slightly knowing that Havok was not a diplomat of the Blackguards, but he remained on his guard at the guest all the same: a self-professed Sith. The Sith Lord continued. "If the Order of the Eye truly does not exist, that would make me... unaffiliated, at the moment." Havok was ruminating. It was hard to believe what he was hearing. He closed his eyes, and felt the force whisper- "truth." And he knew. The Order of the Eye had held the galaxy by the throat, relentlessly conquering worlds, tirelessly seeking the holy battle station, the Second EYE of Palpatine... Gone!
Havok took a seat in one of the chairs, and put his face in his hands. It was hard to have everything ripped from you. Havok felt anger, He felt sorrow. He felt loss. Hollow, empty. He wanted to weep; to mourn the loss. "Are you alright?" "I... need... a moment." Havok collected himself, surprised by his own depth of feeling on the loss of his faction. It had been such a part of his Identity that it was like he was cast adrift. He examined his feelings: searching for weakness, searching for strength. "Is this all I am?" he asked himself. He found in the rubble, the ever present glow of his ambition and hunger, more elemental and less abstract than faction loyalty. "No. I survive even this wound." His trial in the crypts of Pzob had prepared him for this. How could he be anything but himself? Forsooth, He remembered who he was.
Havok sat up. "It seems I am in need of a home."
"Where are you from?" "That is of no consequence." Havok pointed his finger at the floor. "What is of consequence is that I am the former master of this station." "That was too long ago-" "Did your grandfather ever tell you stories about Havok?" Havok interrupted. "Yes." "I am the Dread Lord Havok. THAT Dread Seer. The very same in the stories; and I am back. This station and everything in this system was once my stewardship. Your grandfather's iron will made my word law."
"With all due respect, my lord. My grandfather might have sworn loyalty to you, but that does not bind me or this place. The First Order rose to pre-eminence from all other imperial factions, cementing them, or destroying them. From what I remember my Father telling me, the Order of the Eye was in decline and barely able to hold on to its territories. My Father was forced to capitulate Bilbringi to the First Order 60 years ago. By that time, Bilbringi was likely the last world that clung to the Order of the Eye. My father didn't know. He only knew that when he called for reinforcements no one acknowledged. The fact that Bilbringi was forced to capitulate to the First Order, is proof that the Order of the Eye had ceased to exist, or was too feeble to resist the First Order. I am no philosopher or expert on the ways of Sith, but isn't "survival of the fittest" a maxim you live by?"
"Yes. It is the way of all things." Havok admitted.
"Then the Order of the Eye, from that perspective, has no right, and no claim to Bilbringi. Not 60 years ago. Not today." Even in the hologram, Commander Malice's eyes flashed with his controlled energy. "And by that maxim, the First Order devoured all who opposed them. The First Order has the right to rule by its might."
"Well said. Perhaps I should make the First Order my home. You make a strong case." Havok's tone was contemplative. "The First Order welcomed any competent soldier into their ranks after the Battle of Bilbringi." "An interesting move." "It was a gesture that spoke volumes of the First Order's strength and the professionalism of its military." Commander Malice continued. "I am a professional. Professionals don't hold grudges." "But professionals are loyal to their oaths, are they not?" "As I may have intimated before, it had been over 5 years since Bilbringi had received any communications from the Eye's Central Command. And yet we soldiered on; we did not dissemble. At the battle, we called out, and no one heard us. It was abundantly clear that our loyalty was a hollow oath to an entity that ceased to be. There was no 'Order of the Eye' to be loyal to. Rather than sacrifice his men, my father ended the fighting and aligned with the First Order."
"A pragmatic stance." Havok changed the subject. "Has anyone ever told you, your likeness is identical to that of your Grandfather's?" Havok laughed. "He would occasionally argue with me." "I would hope so. I'm his clone, as was my father before me." "That explains much." If Malice had been present, Havok would have put his hand on his shoulder. Havok was genuinely cheered by that revelation. "Come Malice, tell me more about the First Order."

*A Victory III Class Star Destroyer was pulled out of the space dock slipway. Dock tugs used their tractor beams and engines to slowly move the ship into position for provisioning dockworkers to begin stocking the ship with equipment and supplies. *
A ship of that size was thirsty for fuel. Fortunately an Altor-class replenishment ship had recently stopped in the system and the fuel depot at Bilbringi VII was now filled to nearly bursting.
A skeleton crew began the process for making the ship ready to undergo its first voyage and speed trials. The ship would be ready soon enough.

With the recent orders from the FO High Command, the Shipyards came alive with a flurry of activity. Keels were laid for new ships. Other ships were retrieved from storage and began modernization or refit. Still other ships began the process of gutting and modification, to conform with the specifications provided.
The yards were unable to provide the modifications of the Raider-class Corvettes at this time. The requirement of stealth technology and cloaking devices were beyond Bilbringi's current forte. With additional approval from the High Command, those ships and their modifications were transferred to Rendili.

Havok had many questions for Malice. Malice had many questions for Havok about his 'grandfather.' They talked frequently, in person, for nearly two weeks.
Malice told Havok of the history of Bilbringi since his disappearance, the arrival of the First Order, and the subsequent politics and prosperity. Havok told Malice old stories from the glory days of the NOE, the clever military engagements of Malice's grandfather, and how Havok and Malice first met on Onderon. Havok was a soldier, and Malice was a pilot, both fighting as royalists for the monarchy.
Havok had many questions about his personal effects, and collections of "artifacts" that had remained on Bilbringi after Havok disappeared, and Malice assured him they were most likely boxed up in a museum, or storage facility somewhere.
Havok was impressed by the success of the FO, and by the end of this period of time decided aligning with the FO would be the greatest use of his own talents, and most honor the memory of his fellow lords. Havok always found himself in possession of the WILL to DO WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. The NOE had, after all, been a prominent imperial remnant faction and a force for order against the lawlessness of rebels and weakness of the jedi and alliance factions. Havok was sure that the First Order would have need of someone with his oracular talents and ability to do what needed to be done... very quietly.

*Malice obtained permission for an audience with the emperor. He was sure the emperor himself would want to speak with Lord Havok.*
*Malice offered Havok other clothes for his visit. Havok declined. Havok remained in his hakama pants, gi, obi, utility belt, and boots. He had them all laundered, and his boots shined. Havok did ask for a cloak, but because black cloaks were not standard issue, none could be found of the type Havok requested. As a result, Havok once again wrapped himself in his own burial shroud for the journey to Corescant. Besides his clothes, Havok wore a finely crafted cortosis gauntlet and bracer on his left hand, a lightsaber at his belt, and a small ancient sith blaster "Guts" tucked into the folds of his gi.
Commander Malice, dressed himself in his best uniform of standard military grey.
Both of them boarded a shuttle to take them to Corescant.

The Belphagor, the new Victory III star destroyer, was ready. The Flagship of the secret Doomsday fleet was fully provisioned and loaded. Crews manned their stations, TIE pilots waited, ready to scramble. The engineers and reactor technicians monitored the primary ignitions of the ship's main reactor. The bridge crew monitored the ship's console readouts.
Admiral Syks took command. The Captain of the Belphagor, Cpt. Gagarin, was at his side. Adm. Syks stood on the command gantry overlooking the bridge wells and inquired from Gagarin, "What is our status?" Captain Gagarin, stepped up and ordered the bridge crew to report. "Status!"
His bridge crew sung out smartly. "Helm, standing by!" "Navigation, online! Bilbringi Traffic control has given us the green light. Tugs at the ready." "Operations, online!" "Comm, online!" "Engineering, online, Full power available!" "Environmental and Life-support, online!" "Damage control, standing by!" "Tactical, standing by!" "Weapons, standing by. Full Safeties engaged." Shields, Standing by, Capacitors charged." "Hanger, standing by." "Fighters, standing by," "Medical, standing by." "Marines, standing by." "Load master reporting in, Cargo, stowed." "Ship's master reporting in, all cabins space-tight and pressurized. Hatches are closed."
Captain Gagarin turned to the admiral. "All systems are ready for launch." Admiral Syks gave the order. "We go." Gagarin turned to his crew. "Launch! Helm, take us out!" The order was piped through the ship; The crew cheered at their stations.
The 900 meter destroyer slowly moved away from the shipyard dock, easing into position for the space tugs to maneuver it and guide it through the asteroid channel. While the Belphagor was fully capable of using its thrusters and making its way through the channel on its own, it was considered tradition and good luck to launch a ship and guide it from the Bilbringi shipyards to the open space beyond the asteroids to prevent asteroid strikes. Asteroid strikes on a maiden voyage spelled bad luck. Sailors always were superstitious and The navy loved its traditions.

The Bilbringi Shipyards were inside an asteroid field. While this conceptually causes problems it was not problem here. The Imperial corps of engineers constantly operated tractorbeam tugs to keep the areas around Bilbringi Station and the shipyards navigable and free of asteroids. The rich metals and materials that were mined from the asteroids made the shipyards extremely well positioned for building fleets and maintaining security. Because all materials were already present, foreign powers could not track shipyard productivity by tracking hyperspace lanes and shipments of raw materials. Other than personnel transports for crews, and things like fuel, tibanna gas or kyber crystals, almost everything needed was already here.
In the clear area around the Bilbringi shipyards, The Doomsday fleet was taking shape. Under Admiral Sykes' watchful eye, capital ships were being launched, provisioned, and crewed.

Admiral Sykes over looked the assembled fleet elements of the Doomsday fleet. He watched from the viewport on the bridge of the Vindicator-Class Heavy Cruiser “Invincible” Beside him, the Ship's captain, Cpt. Stills looked over the ship's status reports.
The Admiral could see the various battle elements of the Doomsday fleet in their formations. The two Gladiator III star destroyers, the "Montressor" and "Argo;" the two Carrak Cruisers, the “Stalwart” and “Immanuel Vint;” the two Ardent class fast frigates - “Eclipse” and “Kampfen;” the numerous IGV-55 surveillance ships; the Gozanti-cruisers; They all stood at the ready.
In the distance a large PCL 27 bulk freighter, the 800 meter long “Goliath,” fresh from Agamar. The ship slowly sailed past. Inside it's hold sat the entirety of Project DarkWing.

Third Administer Granth of KYD was a little annoyed at this trip. The higher ups in most the ship yards had agreed, with Grand Moff Thul's pushing, to the production sharing initiative. Granth was not as excited. Her family had worked for the Drive Yards for generations. One of the first Acclemators had one of her relatives as a lead builder. Kuat Drive Yards was in her blood. This arrangement made her skin crawl. She begrudgingly admitted the quality of designs from other Yards, but she cared about quality. Most in the galaxy knew the designer of a ship, few know where it comes from. If something goes wrong the designer is blamed. She was here to answer questions on building, but personally she planned up making sure things where up to her standard.

Granth was even more annoyed after being here for a few weeks. The standards were good, but the questions were prying. These were things that had cost Kuat millions in research and double that in man hours. Here she was, ordered to give these secrets away. She wasn't like the fool, Voss before her. He was loyal only to himself, that's what had gotten him killed. She on the other hand was loyal to her world and company. Bilbringi may have been an allied world, but they were competition. If the First Order needed more KYD ships, they should pay more for rush jobs. The Grand Moff should have never leased build rights. Deep down she was most annoyed at the areas where the other ship yards had found room for improvement. She was livid at the KYD designers that didn't see those solutions earlier.

Granth had begrudgingly accepted the quality of the ships here. They were up to KYD standard. She begain to look at the other designs, ones that could now be made on Kuat. she was looking for little secrets that may not have made it into the notes they were sent.
