The sun was peaking high in the skye above the mountain ranges of High Ontis, whilst below on two seperate mountains, the two teams of Shetani Pieces were finally finished setting up their bases. Each bases consisted of a couple smaller tents, for use by Pawns, Rooks, Knights, and Bishops, surrounding a large center tent, for use by the King and Queen. Duracrete walls were set up around each base to add an extra layer of defence against ground attacks, with nothing in the way of defence against aerial assaults, which Valefor knew would work to their advantage. For the most part though, Valefor just remained seated in his throne in the center tent, and would let his Shetani Pieces devise their own plan of attack, since they had never let him down before. Tartarus, Rias, Chronos, Asia, Loki, and Ruaumoko were already gathered out the front of the entrance into their camp, all of them already saddled up on their dragons, with each of them doing their final pre-battle preparations. Tartarus leaned his head back and took a long deep breath as he relaxed, feeling the wind blow through his hair, like a cool stream of water that was somewhat revitalizing. He then leveled his gaze across to the other mountain, where Aster's camp was located, already going over his possibly attack options, as he put his earpiece in, that would allow him to communicate with the others during the battle. Rias came up alongside Tartarus, giving Life-Binder a pat on the neck to signal for the dragon to stop there, as she studied the infamous man known as the Death Knight. She still remembered the day on which everything had changed, when he went from a usually good natured person, to the rather dark and brooding person that he was now. She seldom saw him smiling as much as he used to, and when he did, it lasted only a brief moment, before he remembered what had happened, and returned to blaming himself. Rias wondered if he would ever be able to forgive himself, although, if he did, she had a feeling it would require Zion to have had some time to realize where he went wrong How long's it been... since you talked to him?
It must be close to two years now...
He'll come around one day. You two could patch things up...
You have no idea how much I wish that were possibly... But, considering what I did, Zion has no reason to forgive me, not after their deaths...
How could you have known...
I should have known though! Had I not been so proud, I would not have bragged about their where abouts... I was going to meet them for the first time... and now...
Tartarus... He shook his head as he stared out across the valley that stood between him and Aster, before grabbing his helmet from where it set on a handle of the saddle and slid it on over his head. He knew Rias had good intentions, after all, it was what made him fall in love with her even more over the years, knowing that she would always hope for the best outcome. But right now, he needed to focus, especially since he would not allow Aster to win this fight and take her away from him, not after everything he had gone through to get this far It's about to start...Everyone make sure you remember your objectives. Once we take the checkpoints out, we can go for the base.
Roger that...
We've got your back...
We'll do our best!
Oorah!
Leave some for the rest of us...
Make me proud... They all gave a nod in response to Valefor's words, moments before a flare shot into the air and went off, signalling the start of the match as all six of their dragons took to the air. Tartarus gave a nod to Rias, before she split off and headed towards her first assigned checkpoint, whilst Frost carried Tartarus towards his first checkpoint, the dragon dropping low over the tree tops, before landing in the clearing where Aster's flag was raised on a pole. He dismounted from Frost, before drawing Shalamayne as his eyes begun to glow their icy blue colour again, as a couple moments later, Mira, Ni, and Li, three of Aster's pawns, came running out of the tree line. The looks on their faces told him they had not been extecting him to have arrived here already, since they had likely been sent ahead as scouts, but he could tell they were ready to try take him on. Mira came at him first, with naught but her wooden staff and martial arts skills, something that elicited a chuckle from the Death Knight, as he held his blade at a slight angle with the blade tip pointing behind him. As Mira closed in, Tartarus brought the sword upwards, slicing through the middle of the staff, before bringing the blade back down at an angle across her torso, making short work of the pawn. He then thrust his sword up through her chest, ensuring her death was quick, before extracting the blade as her limp body fell to the ground, at which point Tartarus turned his gaze toward Ni and Li. The twins charged forward, an intense look of anger in their eyes at the death of their friend, as Tartarus readied himself for their attack, wondering just what they thought they could achieve against someone wielding a sword. They were about halfway, when Frost's tail spike seemingly came out of nowhere and impaled Li, causing Ni to falter enough for Tartarus to close the gap and impale her on his sword. Frost removed her tail from Li, before unleashing a fire blast on the flag, capturing the check point, before Tartarus removed Shalamayne from Ni and resheathed it as he mounted back up on Frost Checkpoint one-delta has been captured, moving to checkpoint two-delta. Three pawns are down.
Checkpoint one-alpha has also been captured, moving to two-alpha. better make that five pawns...
one-beta is also captured, moving to two-beta. count is at six pawns.
one-charlie is captured, on my way to two-charlie. Add one rook to that count
Checkpoint one-echo is all clear, moving to two-echo. No body in sight.
Ch-checkpoint one-foxtrot is captured, moving towards two-foxtrot. Adding their bishop to the count.
Everything is looking good from here, seems they are playing a defensive game... How disappointing.

It wasn't unusual for Shetani Matches to have spectator's, either present or via video stream, but what was unusual, was that Vellaan was among the spectator's that had been in attendance. In most cases, he gave any match that wasn't his a miss, and would usually watch the video play back to see what tactics his fellow High-Lords, and underling Lords, were employing to win their matches. But today was definitely what one would call a special occasion, at least as far as Vellaan was concerned anyway. It was why he currently stood on the deck of a luxury barge, Elune at his side with a pair of electrobinoculars, watching the current match unfold in the mountain range below them. So far, Valefor's pieces were living up to their reputation of being ruthless and unflinching, having already secured the front row of Aster's checkpoints, and were already starting to move on towards the second. He had a feeling that Aster was likely regretting his decision to challenge Valefor right about now, not that he hadn't tried to warn the boy when Aster had come before the High-Lords, to seek their permission to face a veteran. Elune lowered the electrobinoculars, having watched the progress so far, before checking out the current layout of Aster's defensive strategy, which she considered rather laughable So... what does the High-Lord Vellaan find so interesting about Lord Valefor? Since that is the reason we are here, is it not? Lord Aster is far too boring to have caught your attention, even if his move was quite bold, I doubt he would have dragged you out here to watch a match in person... I'll admit Lord Valefor's strategy is a fairly sound one, by using the advantage of his dragon pawns and pushing the attack, he forces Lord Aster to defend, thus exploiting the weakness in Lord Aster's pitiful defences. But that's not it, is it?
You've got a keen eye, my queen. Any Lord worth even half the reputation that Lord Valefor has, would do the same. Lord Aster was confident and cocky, something that even I saw. Me and Lord Valefor, we have a.... history, so to speak. I intend to find out why he has chosen to come here...
What's so special about this planet?
All in due time... For now, this match is just about over. Suffice to say, Lord Aster won't live to realize his mistake, though I imagine his Cinn Ion backers will understand the futility of sending a novice up against a veteran...
What do you mean by that?
My dear, surely you recognize the Death Knight? I hear that Lord Aster called Tartarus and Lord Valefor both old relics, before promosing to take Rias for his missing Bishop if he won. Considering the man's eyes are glowing blue like they are, I imagine our court of nobles will once again be one head shorter...
So the rumours are true? I just assumed it was some tale that Lord Valefor had made up, so as to seperate the courageous from the fearful...
I'm afraid not. Tartarus really is the Knight of Death, in the past couple years he has already taken a number of heads, and lives of Shetani pieces. Lord Gallus Longstride had to replace three quarters of his Shetani Pieces, having managed to surrender before Tartarus found him. Others, like Lord Jeremiah and Lord Bathesda, weren't so lucky... Keep watching, you'll see what I mean...

Frost took off into the air, flying just above the tree tops as she made her ascent up the other side of the valley towards the next checkpoint, whilst Tartarus looked out across to where the others were flying just above the tree tops towards their own destinations. Everything was going according to plan, which was no surprise, considering their opponent had no experience in a proper Shetani Match, and if he was honest, he doubted the guy had any real combat expereince either, which would mean this was going to be over sooner than later. It was a few moments later before Frost descended into the clearing for the next checkpoint, with Tartarus not even making a move to dismount, since he was quite certain that any resistance would already have appeared. Frost then shot a ball of flame at the flag, clearing the checkpoint, before the dragon took off again and headed for Aster's base, whilst Tartarus scanned the air for the others Checkpoint two-delta is clear, heading for Aster's camp now.
Al-Al-Almost finished here at checkpoint two-foxtrot. One more pawn down!
Checkpoint two-beta all clear. One Knight down...
One-alpha is secured. Final pawn is taken care of.
Checkpoint two-charlie has been captured. Another rook bites the dust.
Just finishing off their queen, but checkpoint two-echo is cleared. The base is all yours Tartarus...
Copy that. Call you when I'm done... Frost landed just outside the walls leading into Aster's camp, before Tartarus dismounted and drew Shalamayne from its sheath as he headed in through the nearby entrance and headed for the main tent. All that stood between him and Aster now was one final Knight, and he intended to make short work of her, and engage Aster before he had a chance to chicken out of this fight by surrendering. Tartarus stopped a few feet from the entrance of the main tent as Karlamine stood in his way, her sword also already drawn and in a cross guard position as she faced him, ready to fight and protect her king This is as far as you get Knight of Death! On my honour as a knight, I will cut you down for your transgressions!
Hahaha. Foolish girl! It is you who will meet their demise today. I have no issue with you though, so I shall make your death swift! Tartarus brought Shalamayne up into a forward guard stance as Karlamine rushed forward, aiming for a downwards diagonal slash from Taratrus' left shoulder, which Tartarus stopped almost at the last second as he shifted his stance and brought Shalamayne up to block the blow. He then quickly pushed upwards, before quickly pulling Shalamayne down and turning it over his head about 45 degrees and slicing at Karlamine's right shoulder, his blade stopped only by the shoulder plate, causing it to turn into more of a glancing blow bar for the sound of what was likely cracking bone. Karlamine quickly darted backwards, strengthening her grip with her left hand, whilst her right faltered a little due to the damage inflicted to her shoulder, since she was doing her best to ignore the pain that was emanating from it. She had expected him to be somewhat stronger than her, based on their size difference, but the fact he had managed to inflict soo much damage with just a glancing blow had been a little unexpected. Regardless, she knew she had to finish this quickly, otherwise he'd just wear her down with a few glancing blows to her joints and she'd be done for, and then, it'd be over for sure. Karlamine then gripped her sword so that the point was straight forward, directed towards Tartarus, and held in such a way that she could put her whole force behind the strike as she rushed forward again. Tartarus had also decided that it was time to end this and waited until Karlamine was close enough before he side stepped and swung Shalamayne to knock Karlamine off balance, before quickly bringing the blade up and straight across Karlamine's neck. Her body and head had barely came to a stop, both having been propelled forward by their previous momentum, when Tartarus turned and made for the tent where Aster was hiding, his blade still glistening with blood as he entered. Aster's face suddenly contorted into a look of pure fear upon seeing the Knight of Death in all his unholy glory, his glowing blue eyes fixed on the enemy king, whilst his sword was held at the ready. Tartarus slowly made his way towards the throne upon which Aster sat, the man already babbling about not wanting to die and trying to bribe Tartarus to allow him to live, but he would listen to none of it. He raised his sword and, with all his might, swung the blade down at an angle, cleaving Aster in half from shoulder to hip, the man giving one final piercing cry of pain before his life was ended. At that moment, a flare flew up from Aster's camp, a signal to all those involved and watching that Aster had lost the match, causing Valefor to smile Nicely done, another victory is ours!

Elune had returned her attention to the match, following Tartarus as he progressed up to Lord Aster's camp, where he masterfully dispatched the remaining knight piece that was guarding the camp without so much as a thought. She was quite impressed by the man's skill and prowess, in fact, she was somewhat grateful that she didn't have to end such a skilled combatants life, since she was confident that he would be no match for her. It wasn't long before the flare flew up into the air, true enough to Vellaan's previous prediction, with clean up crews and transports moving in fast to start their work of getting everything taken away, whilst Valefor and his Shetani Pieces headed back to Cambrielle. Elune put the electrobinoculars away as she turned to Vellaan who was watching the comings and goings with a vague interest, whilst a number of other observer ships were already taking their leaves, some of them undoubtedly Cinn Ion heading back to their masters to report the failure You don't disappoint, do you my king? He doesn't take prisoners, does he?
heh... prisoners? no... trophies? yes, and in abundance. Tartarus is a half-breed, as such, he bears no love for the Cinn Ion and will strike them down with a vengeance, especially after what happened with his half sisters...
Half sisters? he has... I mean, had relatives?
Surely you remember that Lord Valefor has two more pieces right?
Well, there's another pawn known as Infinite-One, which is one of those dragons, and... uhh...
Another knight, Tartarus' half brother, Zion Morviael himself, who's latest title was The Scourge of the Cinn Ion...
The Morviael sisters on Talus? They were his half sisters?
Yep... Rumour has it that the Cinn Ion were the puppet masters behind the events that lead to their executions... And from what I've heard, Tartarus is the one that let word slip of their location, and that was how they were found...
My gahd... and the Cinn Ion put one of their own against him?
mmhmm... Well, we better get moving, me and Lord Valefor have much to discuss... Elune nodded, before making her way over to the captain of the luxury barge and giving him instructions to take them back to where the Vellaan's Refuge was landed just outside Cambrielle. The engines fired up a few moments later, propelling the small craft through the air and back towards the CR90 Corvette's location

An order for blocks of marble was made to a large quary on the planet surface. Order was to be sent to a party on Muunilist. Apparently someone there was planning on carving some statues.

A worker looked at the marble size specifications and programmed a cutter droid to quary the marble to specifications. The droid had pneumatic drills and drivers to allow it to cut stone. The metamorphic rock wasn't difficult to cut, but ensuring there was little to no waste was key to the operation, as well as making sure the product wasn't damaged in some way while hewing it.
The precision of the droids made these goals easier, as long as there were no unforeseen occurrences.
Before the end of the day, the droid had 2 slabs of 1.5m x 1.5m x 3m dimensions cut and ready to be sealed in padded cargo containers for delivery to Munnilist.

The Quarry Company contacted a shipping company that they contracted with: Quaazaar Post, Int. (Int. short for interstellar Corp.)
"Quaazaar, We have a special delivery ready for pick up." "We'll get 'er done!"
In half an hour a Quaazaar Post frieghter, dispatched from the nearby starport, landed at the quarry to take on the special marble delivery. The crew took great care in stowing the cargo. Though the frieghter could hold more, this would be the ship's only cargo. They were paid handsomely for it.
The frieghter took off and headed for orbit.

Sergeant Bhavesh Char, given the nickname "Skar'kla" by his squadmates after the lethal, stealthy predator native to Bothawui, stalks silently through the dark, foggy marshland in the primary tracker position ahead of the other eight members of his squad of Deathroopers, who have been sent out to find and eliminate a band of pirates foolish enough to both prey upon commercial ships traveling along the Perlemian Trade Route and to think that setting up a base of operation deep in Ralitiir's marshlands would go unnoticed by the First Order. While the privateers have not yet made a significant impact on the credits flowing from Ralitiir throughout the Empire, the marauders will soon find themselves disabused of the expectation that their crimes will continue much longer.
Pausing and looking upwards as a Casting hawk glides silently by overhead, revealed by its shadow on the dark, murky, moonlit water reaching to his knees, "Skar'kla" raises a fist to signal his squadmates to freeze as he creeps forward to a gnarled tree and scans the terrain ahead for any sign of their prey, using his helmet's image-intensifying active pulse emitters and macromotion monitor to make the scan as thorough as possible. Waving a hand to signal for the squad to continue their patrol when he determines there is nothing ahead of them but more marsh, trees, and the occasional small grassy island, "Skar'kla" resumes creeping forward stealthily, confident that they will soon find the privateers they are searching for and put a swift and merciless end to them.

There are a few hours of darkness left when Skar'kla signals for his squadmates to hold their positions as, believing that he has found the pirates base of operation, he scouts ahead to determine whether or not his suspicion is correct. Creeping through the marsh until he reaches a small, grassy island, Skar'kla crawls stealthily forward and, concealed in a clump of taller grass, uses his helmets systems to survey the cluster of shapes, too uniform to be natural features of the marshland terrain, surrounded by a cluster of gnarled trees. His helmet's macromotion monitor detects motion near one of the block-like structures, and Skar'kla uses his image-intensifying active pulse emitters to zoom in on what proves to be a humanoid figure, clearly patrolling the area. Holding his position for a few more minutes, Skar'kla observes five more sentries, noting their individual patrol routes. The block-like shapes, Skar'kla determines, are prefab buildings covered by some kind of camo-netting that conceals them from sensors, and there is a larger object behind the buildings, also covered in camo-netting, that is undoubtedly the pirate's ship, a Maurader-class corvette from the shape of it.
Once he has completed his surveillance of the privateers encampment to his satisfaction, Skar'kla stealthily makes his way back to his squad to give his report, speaking in a hushed tone and secure in the knowledge that his helmet's voice scrambler, enabling him to speak in death trooper encryption, will make it impossible for their prey to understand in the unlikely event they have the capability to listen in on them.
Sergeant Major Lencho "Seggor" Wacera, the squad's leader, a male Chalactan that served as an Aquatic assault trooper prior to his current assignment, takes a few moments to absorb the report before determining how to proceed. Ordering an aerial strike would be the easiest solution, and the safest given the privateers' numerical advantage, but Seggor thinks that there may be a way to handle that disadvantage if they play things right. Lifting a hand and moving it in a circle with his index finger extended to have the squad rally on him, Seggor waits until they have all arrived to start laying out his plan of attack.

Once Seggor has made their plan, Sergeant Sairla "Scarpyen" Ogen, a Morganian that has served in the Imperial military since she was eighteen in various branches that have seen her acquire advanced infantry, ranger, covert operations and sniper training, slings her bowcaster's strap over a shoulder and takes up a perch in a gnarled tree giving her a clear line of sight on the pirates no longer hidden base of operation. As the other members of Menagerie Squad begin advancing, after Skar'kla has gone ahead to execute the first phase of the plan, towards their assigned positions, Scarpyen unslings her E-11s sniper rifle from her back and gets comfortable as she watches over the squad's advance.
Scarpyen, needing only to use her encrypted comms twice to have members of the squad hold when patrolling sentries move into positions that might enable them to spot Menagerie's stealthy advance through the marsh, watches as Skar'kla, having used his vibrosword to silently dispatch three of the pirate sentries as he stalked through the mist enshrouded camp towards the camo-netting covered ship that is his objective, just as quietly sends the two privateers standing watch near the ship's boarding ramp before slipping unseen aboard the vessel to plant the baradium thermal detonators he carries in their assigned places. He's in, Scarpyen says to let the other members of Menagerie know that the countdown for their assault has begun.

Corporal Chirag "Rolk-mangir" Markosyan, having advanced with Specialist Rahmin "Gharzr" Gbala to a small, partially submerged grassy island with a fallen tree that offers them some cover and is situated directly south of the pirate encampment, stays behind the moss covered trunk of the tree after Scarpyen lets them know that Skar'kla has reached the privateers' ship, settling in with his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon resting across his knees since he figures they have at least a few minutes before things get interesting once Skar'kla has completed his first objective.
Gharzr, resting the barrel of his DLT-19D heavy blaster rifle on the downed tree as he looks through the scope and watches the movements of a pair of sentries as they come around the corner of one of the prefab buildings covered by camo-netting, tells Rolk-mangir, Two hostiles coming around the west side of the structure closest to the ship.
Pivoting to peer over the fallen tree, Rolk-mangir says calmly, Skar moved the bodies inside. Should be fine as long as they aren't changing shifts or looking to chat. See? Rolk-mangir says a moment later as the pirates continue walking around the building rather than approaching the ship. S'all good, dude. Give ol' Skar a chance to do his thing.
Roger that, Gharzr says, adding as much to himself as his squadmate, I hate this part.
Seggor, advancing to a group of gnarled, twisted trees facing the eastern side of the pirates' base, points at one of the two autoturrets positioned in front of the two prefab structures, one set up to cover the southwestern approach while the other covers the southeast, telling Balyeg, who has accompanied him to their position, Soon as Rolk opens up, take that eastern turret out. Zakool, he tells the squad's other artillery specialist who has moved, along with Shanh and Farlek, to a covered position facing the western side of the enemy camp, you've got the western turret. Get ready, he tells the members of Menagerie Squad waiting for Skar'kla to complete the first stage of his plan, won't be long now

Things start happening quickly once the thermal detonators Skar'kla uses to destroy the pirate ship's engine room go off, the explosions crippling the vessel loud enough to alert the pirates to the attack and signaling Menagerie Squad that the first phase of Seggor's plan has been completed.
Here they come, Rolk-mangir says gleefully as the sentries that had gone around the side of the western building start running towards the ship, then rolls his neck as he lifts his Z-6 and gets ready to engage the enemy once Seggor gives the order.
Hold, Seggor says, wanting to wait for the hostiles in the building to start coming out before having Rolk-mangir reveal that the ship is not the only thing under attack.
Scarpyen, the barrel of her E-11s steadied on a thick branch of the gnarled tree she is using as her nest, sights in on the first group of pirates to emerge from the western building, smiling beneath her helmet as she centers her crosshairs on the privateer that starts shouting orders and says, Firing on the one that looks like he's in charge, as she pulls the trigger and sends a blaster bolt streaking away.
Engage, Rolk, Seggor says as the first pirate falls backwards minus most of his head. As Rolk-mangir opens fire with his rotary blaster cannon, sending a withering hail of traversing fire onto the pirates scrambling for cover or the turrets in the wake of their leader's death, Seggor says, Shanh, bring the roof down. Zakool and Balyeg, take out those turrets.
Shanh, Menagerie Squad's artillery support specialist, having already aimed his Model 201 mortar system for the middle of the western building's roof, says coolly, Firing, as he sends a large-caliber shell arcing up and out on a trajectory for the targeted rooftop.
Zakool, standing with his RPS-6 rocket launcher shouldered, sights in on the western turret and fires one of the six small missiles in the weapon's magazine at his target.
The privateers are visibly shaken as the missile and shell explode almost simultaneously while Rolk continues firing on them steadily, some seeking cover behind or beside the smoking western prefab structure while others start running for the as yet unassailed eastern building. Absolute chaos reigns among the enemy ranks as the thermal detonator Balyeg throws at the eastern turret explodes, sending mud and pieces of the turret and the pirates that had been trying to reach the weapon and bring it to bear on their attackers into the air and leaving a smoking crater in the marshy ground. On Seggor's order, Menagerie Squad begins advancing and firing on the panicked pirates, Farlek maneuvering forward alone from the west as Shanh and Zakool send missiles and shells into or onto the western and eastern buildings, while Rolk-mangir advances from the south with Gharzr providing covering fire, and Seggor and Balyeg advance from the east while covering one another as Scarpyen, in between sniping targets, calls out enemy movements and positions.
Aboard the pirates' ship, Skar'kla, having sheathed his vibrosword and shouldered his E-11D, takes up a position near the vessel's boarding ramp to ensure no hostiles escape the ship to try and aid the rapidly diminishing ranks of their fellow privateers.

Zakool is sighting in on the window beside the front doorway of the eastern structure where a group of pirates are firing from when he is hit by a pair of blaster bolts in the chest that knock him over.
Scarpyen, taking out one of the four pirates that have come around the western side of their ship and are firing on Zakool, Shanh and Farlek's position says, Three hostiles advancing from the western corner or the ship, then takes out a second and amends her statement, make that two.
Farlek, dragging Zakool behind a moss covered rock as Shanh, drawing his SE-14r from his thigh holster to provide covering fire, asks, He good?
Answering for himself, Zakool brushes some grit from the pair of steaming dents, still glowing orange around the edges, in his breastplate and says, Gonna have a bruise, but armor took the brunt. Way to cover me bro's.
Farlek, dropping to his belly and rolling to the side of the rock to fire on the pirates pouring a steady stream of blaster bolts towards their position, drops one of the hostiles as he says, Blame Scarpyen, she's supposed to be our eyes.
I heard that, Scarpyen quips as she takes out the last pirate that came around the ship, and then adds, Heads up, you've got more coming from the side of the eastern building, looks like about six.
Farlek gets behind the rock and then pops up to spray the pirates advancing from the side of the building, Little help here, Shanh?
Sending a few blaster bolts towards their enemies as he runs in a crouch for his 201 mortar, Shanh says, On it, and then sends a mortar round into the swampy ground just ahead of the advancing pirates.
Faring a bit better than Zakool and his team, Seggor and Balyeg have advanced, under steady covering fire from Rolk-mangir and Gharzr, near to the front of the eastern building. Motioning for Balyeg to stay at the cover provided by the remains of the turret, Seggor takes a sonic imploder from his utility belt and tosses it into the doorway. After the explosive detonates, blinding the pirates inside that were not close enough that the blast killed them, Balyeg covers Seggor as he enters the building and opens fire on the privateers left standing inside.
As Farlek fires on the pirates that survived the mortar round, Scarpyen comes over the squad's comm channel, Looks like any hostiles still standing are bugging out. Six on the back of the eastern structure heading into the marsh on foot, another three in back of the western building on swoop bikes.
Zakool, retrieving his RPS-6 and sighting in on the middle swoop bike, sends a rocket off that takes out two of the pirates attempting to flee as he asks, Should we pursue?
Seggor, kicking the blaster rifle away from the hand of a lifeless body of one of the pirates inside the eastern building after he and Balyeg have cleared it out, says, Negative. Let them tell their pirate friends what happens when they interfere with Imperial business. Rolk, Gharzr, secure the western building. Farlek, Shanh, head into the ship and see if Skar needs any backup.

Skar'kla, his armor sporting a few blaster scorch marks and a nasty looking dented scratch from some kind of bladed weapon, is descending the boarding ramp of the pirates' ship when Farlek and Shanh arrive to see if he needs any backup.
All clear? Farlek asks.
Skar'kla lifts a hand and makes an O with his thumb and forefinger.
Skar says the ship is cleared, Farlek tells Seggor over the squad's encrypted comm channel.
Seggor has Zakool, Menagerie Squad's demolitions specialist, prepare to blow up the privateers' buildings and ship after checking for any intel of value regarding the smuggling operation and for any cargo that might be returned to its rightful owners, and has Scarpyen begin piloting the squad's slave-rigged Upsilon-class command shuttle, the Tikiarri, to their location.
Twenty minutes after Skar'kla exited the pirates' ship, he is the last to board the Tikiarri after taking a last look out into the foggy marshlands beyond the smoldering remains of the privateers' encampment, unaware that a pair of eyes belonging to one of the surviving pirates is watching him. The eyes continue to watch as the Tikiarri lifts off and heads out of the marshlands, headed in the direction of Grallia.

Axelle had been riding one of the swoop bikes that Zakool had taken out with the rocket, and is the owner of one of the eyes that watches the Death Troopers boarding their shuttle. The other eye belongs to her brother, Gedeon, laying in her arms and bleeding out from several wounds, the most severe of which are the gaping wound in his back and the burned and bleeding ruin of the left side of his face that have turned the marsh around them a sickly red hue.
Axelle herself has shrapnel wounds all over her face from the explosion of her brother's swoop, her right eye swollen painfully shut and, she is almost sure, blinded. Gedeon's breathing becomes shallow, the one eye left to him becoming unfocused as he looks from the departing shuttle as it lifts off to his sister's face, the last image he sees before he takes a final breath and then breathes no more. Axelle has to use her right arm to wrap her left, numb and cut deeply from the shoulder down to the elbow, more tightly around Gedeon's body as she uses her heels to push her back closer to a fallen tree half submerged in the marsh, her pain so great that her grief has no chance of penetrating it for now and will have to wait. Laying back against the mossy covered tree trunk, Axelle closes her remaining eye and holds her brother's body, letting the merciful numbness and drowsiness of blood loss slowly spread over her.
Her lone eye opens when Axelle hears the drone of a swoop bike approaching, and she turns her head to see that Hritik, the male Aqualish who had been riding the only swoop not to have been taken out by the Death Troopers, is speeding towards her. Looking down at her brother's body, Axelle is not sure whether she is relieved that Hritik has come back and will probably be able to tend to her wounds before she succumbs to them or if she is instead disappointed that she will not now die along with her brother here in the marsh.

--Transports with troops and vehicles began their descent to the surface of Ralltiir. Already Colonel Viades was communicating with their allies and broadcasting messages that demanded surrender As suggested, many of the groups were tired. None could truly engage in a full battle. Seeing the force that was arriving, there was little chance the traitors could handle the might of the First Order, especially when dealing with some the more elite variations of the FIrst Order ground units. Many began to surrender, while those that refused were quickly dealt with, using the information provided from their allies and those that gave in. Sweeping up the traitors would be swift.--

--Things had gone relatively smoothly in securing the surface. Once the colonel was certain the local forces had things covered, he ordered his men to retreat and return to the fleet. He had received word from the Grand Admiral that repairs were going to be finished soon and then they'd head for Coruscant.--
