Floating high above the planet were the only reason this particular point in space important in any way, shape or form: the Foerost Shipyards. No where near as large as the yards that surround Kuat like an asteroid ring, or as artful and precise as the ponderous shipyards above Sluis Van, they were still a manufacturing powerhouse and the source of the majority of ships, commercial and military, traversing the galaxy's deep core. Or at least that was the case until the little economic crisis that followed the fall of the 4th Galactic Empire.
Faced with the consequences of overproducing warships but losing their primary client, the Foerost Shipyards were forced to sell off their inventory at severely reduced prices. Even after, they were still unable to pay off their debts to the ore suppliers and were forced to lay off a significant portion of their employees. Unemployment for the planet skyrocketed as the major source for jobs on the planet continued the lay offs and the leadership replacing the imperial government was incapable of finding a solution. The economy failed and planet entered a depression.
But all was not lost, various members of the fragmented Empire came together to salvage what they could from the remains of a galactic power. The Imperial Remnant, as it would come to be known, soon began bringing loyal planets back into the fold; one such planet being Foerost. Despite economic issues of its own, the Remnant recognized the importance of getting Foerost back on its feet. They bailed out the shipyards and negotiated various trade agreements that allowed ores to be brought in at much lower prices. Not long after, sections of the shipyards that had been shutdown were reactivated and new (and old) workers were flown to the yards to begin work anew.

Grand Admiral Sarah Dodonna walks onto the bride of the Iron Clad, flagship of the 2nd Imperial Fleet.
"Admiral on deck!" shouts a random crewmen, snapping to attention and saluting in unison with the rest of the bridge crew.
She returns the salute and they quickly get back to work. She quickly moves through the bridge, glancing over a shoulder every now and again. She wasn't checking on the crew, though no doubt that is what they were thinking when she looked over their shoulders and examined their work, she was more curious than anything. It had been a long time since it was her responsibility to ensure her a crew's effectiveness, she wasn't a captain anymore. Hell, she wasn't even an Admiral anymore. She was the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Remnant, effectively the leader of its military forces second only to their leader; Nicademus Delvardus IV. She didn't command a fleet, she commanded several. The commanding officer of this fleet was Rear Admiral Vossis, who stood looking out the viewport of the bridge, overseeing the last of the Star Destroyer's routine maintenance. He turns from the stunning view of the shipyards to greet her, "Grand Admiral, I assume you are here in response to the distress call from Prakith?"
He was around the same age as her, perhaps a year or two older, with the appearance of your everyday high-class core worlder and spoke with a core world accent. Your average Imperial officer really. He wasn't exceptionally brilliant either, but he ran a fleet well and kept in control during a battle.
"I am," she responds, "and we will be responding."
A rather obvious statement, but she said it for the benefit of the crew.
"I assumed as much and have already recalled the Hawkbat and Morningstar from patrol."
"Good work, I want the entire fleet ready as soon as possible."
Vossis nods in response and leaves to speak with the ship's captain. Sarah heads back towards the fleet command and control center, where she would be coordinating multiple fleets in the battle ahead.

The lieutenant jumps, startled by the sudden appearance of the man.
"Umm, oh yes! We received word you were coming."
Suddenly remembering his place, he clumsily snaps to attention and salutes the captain.
"The ship is yours sir. Would you like go to the bridge?"

Yes take me there lieutenant. by the way what is your name? Asking because forging a personal relationship with your subordinates make their moral higher as well as increasing loyalty
After he answers what defence's does the command room as well as the bridge have inside?
With obvious is regret in his voice to many a good commander has been killed in in his own chair by cowards and traitors.

"I am Lieutenant Corr Smith, sir. And in terms of defenses, each crew member is issued a sidearm that they must qualify with before serving on a ship. But that is it. If you want to have more added, you will have to put in a request to the higher ups. Or go to the people in charge of the shipyards and pay for them yourself. If you are worried about someone shooting you in the back, don't."
He waves his arm, indicating several crewmen. Anyone could see how similar they looked, all brown haired and green eyed. Entire sets of faces were identical, but between sets each face was a little different; bone structure, skin that was paler or more tan. They were all clones, from similar samples of DNA modified by the Khommites. Rather than looking like twins, most clones looked like brothers.
"Every crewmember aboard this ship is a clone. With the exception of you and me of course, with their conditioning it is impossible for them to kill a superior officer."

"Yes sir!" he says enthusiastically, he then relays the order to the Ensign who immediately begins programming. "I am you executive officer by the way."
Within minutes the formerly nameless ship is christened Fall From Glory.
"The ship is yours to command sir. We have been given orders to standby for imminent orders. But that usually means we will be heading out sometime soon, so we don't have to keep the ship here. The entire crew is rather...green, sir. Would you like to take her out into orbit for a test run? See how the crew works?"
Lieutenant Junior Grade Corr Smith was almost too eager to prove himself, his last comment about the rookie-nature of the crew got him some dirty looks from a couple of the clones. His eagerness probably had to do something with him being the non-clone assigned to a ship. If you weren't a clone, that meant you were a veteran of the former Empires and qualified for duty on the more powerful ships. The fact that Smith had been assigned to an all clone crew meant, to him, he was doing something wrong.

yes, take it out for a spin and give me a moment to get acquainted with this ships stats .
Gaial walked over and sit in his command chair and look up Corr Smith's file on the holonet terminal then looks up the ships stats like engine efiichency and what config the ship is whether it has flak laser or ion cannons-would prefer half and half.

"Yes sir." he turns to the men at navigation "You heard the captain, take us out." The cruiser proceeds to disembark and makes its way out into open orbit, its pace is slow as it maneuvers through the docks and out into the open. The Fall From Glory is truly a sight to see, a sleek but powerful shape and bristling with equal amounts of heavy turbolasers, laser cannons and ion cannons.

Foerost Shipyards weren't as vital to the First Order as was Bilbringi or Yaga Minor which had greater capabilities, but its presence did help in maintaining the integrity of local fleets and supplying smaller vessels in quick order to the main armada. A small contingent of Stormtroopers were still present on the surface and within the shipyards still giving off the air of Imperial authority. Since the Battle of Dantooine, Foerost had garnered some attention as it repaired bits of the Imperial fleet before it returned to the main territories in the Outer Rim. Still, a few ships here and there came by to get much needed repairs before returning to their patrols and the frontlines.

While Foerost's priority was towards Star Destroyer repair and construction. When no military vessel was in either state here, the shipyards were put to use repairing and constructing civilian vessels. Used either for transportation of people between worlds, or hauling of freight. Two functions vital to the continued functioning of the Deep Core and the First Order as a larger whole. It also presented the Knights of Ren opportunities they could potentially exploit later on

'Captain of the Line.' Fehlaten'nys'ondrin liked the sound of it. His recent promotion had brought him a long way from his home world, all the way to the Deep Core. But this was where it seemed his new fleet was just finishing it's construction. The Light Brigade. His own brain child of instead of large Star Destroyers with a few support ships, he would use a swarm of fifty Raider II-class corvettes in conjunction with his Ardent-class fast frigate of a flagship, Noble, to overwhelm the larger slow ships of the line. Not to mention the over one hundred Predator-class fighters that would deploy along side his fleet, and after a few moments of combat, the whole fleet could retreat with limited issue after dealing significant damage. He was pleased with the plan on paper, and it seemed someone higher up the chain of command was too. So here he was to observe the finale stages of his fleets construction. As Tennyson stood in one of the observation rooms, he couldn't help but smile as the last of the Raider's where churned out.

As resources flowed in to the shipyards, construction began on 3 new Resurgent class Star Destroyers. They would serve as planetary defence forces for each of the worlds that the Knights of Ren had been granted governorship of. While the Deep Core was already a fairly impenetrable fortress, Harnan had no intention of letting any such comfort cloud his judgement and allowing the Deep Core defences to become weak and complacent

Foerost Shipyards was a minor facility, compared to the jewel of the First Order, Kuat Shipyards, yet they still had their usage. An order from Imperial High Command came down on the facility and, within the following day, the metal skeletons of several warships began to form. These vessels were marked as four Imperial II-class Star Destroyers and three Pellaeon-class models. They were being formed as a new squadron for the Imperial Navy, Shadow Hand. A name that was dug from Old Empire, High Command found it fitting for this squadron of Star Destroyers. Among these warships were a dozen or so support vessels being built up to add to the Squadron's roster.

The shipyards kept at full pace, working on the numerous ships for both the Deep Core fleets, and the Shadow Hand project. Resources were pouring in for both projects from across the Empire. Superstructures formed around the shipyards, moving further and further along in the process of construction

Construction on the Deep Core Defence fleet continued, with the three hulls of the new Resurgent-class Battlecruisers starting to take shape in the space around the orbital shipyards. Work meanwhile continued on the Shadow Hand fleet which was taking form closer to the shipyards and within the many smaller construction dry docks

A Lambda-class shuttle emerged from hyperspace and began its approach towards Foerost. In comparison to Coruscant and Muunilinst, this world was quiet and saw far less traffic moving about in orbit. Most of what could be seen beside the Golan III defense space stations and the shipyards were the few ships that came and went for repairs or any new ships that were being sent off to join new patrols or the main fleets. The lack of major activity made the approach slow and dull, yet smooth and easy.
Once upon a time, it was this shipyard that stood as the largest and greatest shipyard during the Republic-era. Some of the best and highest quality ships had come from its docks. Yet, in the time approaching the Clone Wars, Kuat had taken the title from Foerost. Afterward, it came into the possession of the Techno Union and, eventually, the Separatists who used it during that war. While it fell into different hands over the years since it was now in control of the First Order. However, since the time of the Galactic Empire, other shipyards rose up and with those held in the clutches of the First Order, this particular shipyard no longer served the extravagant role it once did, being relegated to producing mostly smaller ships for patrols or helping replace the same smaller craft in the major fleets, though a few of the more massive and distinguished ships were crafted here as well.
As it grew closer to the shipyards, the co-pilot opened a channel to the shipyards.
Foerost Shipyards, this is the shuttle Teravas seeking clearance to land. We have on board Captain Xoia Reyes.
A few moments passed before a responsecame through.
Shuttle Teravas, we have you on our screens. We have been awaiting the arrival of Captain Reyes. Please trasmit clearance codes for docking permissions.
Transmission commencing.
There were a few more moments of silence as they flew towards the shipyards before the next response came.
Shuttle Teravas, you have permission to land. Begin your approach and land in docking bay A-12. An escort will be waiting to bring the captain to her ship.
With permission granted, the pilot pushed forward with their approach, redirecting their path to the designated docking bay. As they went, the co-pilot activated the comms for the rooms to alert Xoia of their approach.
Captin Reyes, we are beginning our approach of the shipyards and should be landing shortly. An escort will be there to lead you to your new ship.
Xoia looked up from her datapad, the woman deciding to continue reviewing all the information that had been given to her during their trip. Giving only a nod, she stayed silent as she stood to her feet and began packing what little she took from her bag and made herself ready for her departure.

As the shuttle entered the hangar, it began its landing procedures. The lower wings folded up as the landing gear dropped. A smooth, subtle landing developed over years of practice. As the shuttle came to a stop, the gear fully extended, touching the ground properly without the ship needing to lower itself to the ground or the gear pushing the ship up. A perfect landing if ever there was one.
Not even realizing the ship touched down, Xoia turned to face the boarding ramp as it lowered, giving her a bit of pause as she inwardly complimented the landing. With all her gear ready at the top of the ramp, she entered the cockpit to thank the pilots a final time. "Thank you again for this trip. They might be orders, but it is no less appreciated. Once I clear the ramp, you are free to head back to Muunilinst. Safe journey, gentlemen." She gave them a salute before returning to her things and disembarking the shuttle.
As she reached the front of the craft so that the pilot could see her, the sound of the repulsors kicked up as it lifted off the ground and backed out of the hangar, a smooth turn as it passed through the opening of the hangar allowing its wings to spread it to pick up speed as it disappeared from sight. Looking around, she noticed a few stormtroopers around. Whether they were in place in case she wasn't who she said she was or just set up in place should there be a boarding raid was anyone's guess. Their presence didn't so much as make her blink as she was well aware of security protocol. Her eyes then turned forward to the man that approached her. Well dressed, he was clearly one of the executives of the shipyards.
Stopping just before her, he gave her a smile.
"Captain Reyes, it is a pleasure." He then reached out his hand to shake it. "Vice-Admiral Lurkan said you would be arriving today along with all the others that will be accompanying you. Most have already arrived, but we are still waiting on a few more. In the meantime, I can show you to your ship and we can give you a quick tour as we wait."
Shaking his hand, she gave a nod. "A quick tour will be most appreciated. I had hoped to arrive before most of my crew so I could be fully waiting for them and could get acquainted with the ship as best I could with the time I had. So please, lead on." Gathering up her things, she followed him as he led on.
Most of the trip had been held in silence before she finally spoke up. "I've spent most of this week working to understand the ship as best I can from the details provided to me. Is there anything else you can tell me about it that wouldn't have been in the reports?"
The man could only shrug.
"I feel there may be little I can tell you that you haven't already learned. But I will tell you what I can and we'll see." He never got the chance to keep speaking as they reach a large opening that led to one of the construction bays. "Here we are." As he spoke, the entered the hangar to reveal the ship sitting there in all her glory. He waited for a few moments to allow her to take in the ship before speaking. "I present to you the Sloane-class Stealth Destroyer Valahia. She is the first of her kind, created specifically for you and your crew. I'm sure, though, that it won't be long before others bring her into service alongside her older brother. Though the main design remains the same for its interior, systems, and hull, there have been a few specific changes. The major change is the weaponry. Where the original Sloane was an absolute powerhouse for its size, we've cut back on the weaponry by half. While retaining the original 9 turbolaser emplacement, the quad setup was reduced to the dual variants. The heavy dual laser cannons were removed, though the original 13 dual laser cannons remain to keep her effective against starfighter attacks. The concussion missile launchers have also been reduced from 24 to 10. It may have lost half its firepower but its still a vessel that can keep up with ship larger than herself." The man then smirked. "The loss of some of its armament has provided some advantages, though. Due to losing a bit of weight and not requiring the same draw of power, the ship is actually faster than it used to be without sacrificing defense. Along with that, a stealth field generator has been added to get it hidden from sensors. Unless ships are tracking you visually, you won't be detected on scanners, making it hard to fully target the ship with targetting computers, further increasing its defensive abilities. In the chaos of battle, you should be able to slip by an enemy mostly unhindered."
As the man filled her in on the ship, most of it what she learned, she began to walk around the ship the best she could, taking in the sight of it. It was certainly a ship to be proud of, whether in making it or being in command of it. And for it to be the first of her kind, made primarily;y for her team, it was most certainly an honor. "She certainly is a sight to behold. And the fact it was created specifically for my team is an honor. As such, I hope others are created find good use in other fleets." She then turned to him. "So how about that tour?"
Nodding, he lead her inside. Being a smaller ship, it wasn't as much of a task to show her every inch of the ship as it would have been a star destroyer, to which she was glad. It allowed her to gain a better grasp of the layout prior to their departure. Some of those that would be on her crew were there as well, as he pointed out, taking the time to become familiar with the ship as well. For now, she said nothing as she focused on the ship. There would be time enough to get to know them.
Before long, they ended up in the hangar bay of the ship. There sat the starfighters she had hoped to pilot for so long. She had to restrain herself from jumping in one and taking it out at that very moment. Giving a small smirk, she sighed a bit. "No need to tell me anything about the babies. As a dedicated pilot, I long wished to one day pilot these crafts and be recognized as one of the elite. I am very intimate with their systems and features. I can't wait to take them out and see just how they handle."
The man merely smiled and shrugged.
"I'll take your word for it. But that is the end of the tour. Do you have any other questions?"
She shook her head. "I do not. Thank you for the tour. I will remain here and familiarize myself with the ship a bit more. If you could inform me, however, when the last my crew arrives, I would be most appreciative."
The man gave a nod and bow before departing the ship to keep up with the arriving crew. All would be required to assemble within the next hour, but knowing they had arrived beforehand would allow them to get moving a little sooner. For now, she would enjoy the sights of her new starfighters.
