The Grand Halls are actually a series of wide bridges supported by massive talon-like columns, and lit intermittenently by dim orange lampposts, that connect to the various sections and rooms of the palace. As you reach the higher levels of the palace, the bridges begin to narrow. As there are no fence guards, one can peer over the edge of a bridge to see the pathways criss-crossing below them.

Angel walked in to the familiar pyramid. He was satisfied that the beauty of the royal infrastructure with all shades of red – crimson, scarlet, vermilion, among others all reflecting Iridonia's natural terrain – were intact, and that – unlike the Academy – officials and high authority had required the capital to be kept in excellent condition. Entering a hidden turbolift through a secret sequence, pattern, position and rhythm of steps at a certain point of the first floor, Angel closed the subtle door, keyed in his coordinates through Force activation, and shot straight up to his chambers, leading to his throne in the Golden Room.

High Admiral and Sith Lord Viox Savage entered the Grand Halls. As the main entrance into the Grand Halls closed behind him, Savage swung his mechanical left hand into the control pad, pushing in the buttons and cracking the screen, effectively jamming the controls from this side. Sure there were other entrances, but this one wouldn't be used any time soon. As Savage strode through the halls, cloak billowing out behind him, two sentry guards sprinted up to him, ornate security staves at the ready. Savage smirked and simply formed a vise with his thumb and index finger on his right hand, hoisted up the one guard and threw him into his partner. The guards lay in a heap as he continued to march towards the turbolifts at the center of the pyramid that would give him direct access to the Golden Room at the top of the Palace.

The Old Master sensed that the two guards he sent had failed. He knew that it would be up to him to stop the Sith lord. He stepped towards the Sith and lowered his hood as he stopped in the Sith's path. He pulled out his green lightsaber and pointed it at the Sith Lord.
"My Name is Jun-dar Kaz, and I am the Protector of Knowledge, Guardian of this palace. Your tainted blood shall go no farther."
Jun-dar Kaz waited for the Sith to make his move. Jun-dar grabbed his cyan short lightsaber with his other hand and was ready, for the battle to start. He only hoped that his apprentice Alex had stayed at the temple.

Savage halted in his tracks. He glanced at the old man standing before him. His lips curled into a sneer as the wizened old man spoke to him.
"You know not of what you stand in the way of. Stand aside, old man. This is your only chance to back down before I decide to separate your head from your shoulders!"
Savage calmly gazed upon the old man, taking in every bit of his features that he could. His breathing was steady and slow. His hearts were still beating normally. His fierce yellow eyes unwavering from his next victim.
Oh he was going to enjoy this. He eagerly hoped that the old man was foolish enough to stand in his way. He didn't come here to spill the blood of those who may have been deemed innocent, but with his hand forced by his very own kin, slaughtering a mere human would be easy. He would have been more impressed if a fellow Zabrak decided to stand against him. But this human would soon know the very meaning of agony.
Savage flexed the fingers on his right hand and slid his feet shoulder width apart in anticipation of an incoming attack, should the old man prove brave enough.

Jun-dar listened to the demands of the Sith, and watched as he prepared to attack him. Jun-dar might appear to be just an old man, but he was in fact a great duelist once. Jun-dar could sense Alex moving through the city getting closer to the palace.
"I know very well of what i stand in the way of, Son of the Xander."
With being said Jun-dar activated his cyan shortsaber, in the reversed grip style. He would not die without a fight for the Sith could not advance.

Savage growled at the old man, for making such a comment.
"You know nothing of me or my family! How dare you try and deny me my ultimate goal. I showed you the only shred of mercy I have left. Now you shall feel the true extent of the dark side!"
And with that, Savage undid the clasp on his cloak with his right hand and picked his doublesaber hilt from his belt with his left. He thumbed the activation studs. Both orange blades sprang to life with the usual snap-hiss. And then Savage twirled the blades in a graceful arc on his left side, placed his right hand on the hilt and charged forward. Gathering the Force around him, he used the Force to grant him a burst of speed, closing the gap between him and the foolish old man before him. Savage switched his grip up mid run, causing the rear blade to be raised higher and the front blade to dip lower, in an attempt to slip under the old man's defenses. If the attack was successful, the lower aimed blade would slip between the man's legs, allowing Savage to bring it straight up in a vertical slash. If it failed Savage had the blade gripped in such a way that he could quickly bring the rear blade around and hack into the old man's left shoulder in a downward angled slash.
And so, the battle truly began for Iridonia. And Savage couldn't be enjoying it more. He was going to eviscerate the old man before him and continue on to the ruling council members and utterly slaughter them in any grotesque fashion he saw fit. But first he's enjoy toying with the old man before killing him.

Jun-dar quickly moved his left hand and shortsaber down to the floor, where he summoned the force to use the ability shatterpoint to break the current walkway they were on. As the walkway began to shatter Jun-dar used the force to jump up to the next walkway above them. Jun-dar knew that the Sith would most likely continue to run and jump using the force so that he could press on with his attack, luckily Jun-dar had a plan for that. It had been years since Jun-dar had to fight seriously.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Savage was inched away from the old man when he destroyed the walkway. As it crumbled and fell apart, Savage tensed up his legs and summoned the Force around him. He leaped from the main walkway over a talon-like support brace, then vaulted up to the level the old man had jumped to. Savage bared his teeth as he mocked the old man.
"You delay your demise, you fool! Your abilities won't save you from me!"
With that, Savage shifted his grip on the saber, holding the hilt in his left hand. With his right, he extended it outwards and used the Force to grab a large chunk of the walkway as it fell. As he focused, he made it spin clockwise and then hurled it at the old man. The large hunk of the walkway would slam into the old man's back, as Savage had plucked it from behind him, should it reach its mark. And even if it didn't, Savage would be within striking distance, so either way, the old man would have to face him soon. Savage grinned malevolently as he strode over to where the old man stood.

Jun-dar spun around and threw his shortsaber at the hunk of the walkway. He quickly positioned himself so that he could face the Sith, using the force to help improve his movements. Jun-dar swung his lightsaber at Sith. Sweat begun to drip from his long white hair. Jun-dar raised his left hand and used wall of light, a lightside force ability that severed the opponents' connection to the darkside for a few moments. If Jun-dar didn't finish the battle soon he would lose, since he's no longer able to use the force to help his movements.

Seeing the old man move for the chunk of walkway gave him the opening he wanted. He re-positioned his grip on his saber and sprinted towards the old man. Just as he approached striking distance, the old man spun about as chunks of the walkway rained down behind him.
The old man was fast, for a human. But Savage knew he couldn't keep it up for much longer. Obviously the old man hadn't faced a real opponent in some time. Or was slacking in his training. Either way, Savage knew the end was coming up.
The old man swung his lightsaber at him. Savage took half a step back and batted the lightsaber blade away, but in so doing, left himself open for the next attack. A blast of blinding light flashed over him. Anger seethed through him. He removed his right hand from the saber hilt once more and splayed the fingers on his outstretched right hand, in an attempt to launch a barrage of Force Lightning at the old man, but nothing happened. Savage gritted his teeth in anger and vaulted backwards. Upon landing, Savage brought his lightsaber up defensively.
"I will rip your skull from your spine with my bare hands!" he spat angrily.
Whatever the old man had just hit him with, he hoped it was temporary. However, even without his dark side abilities, he was more than capable of slicing the old man down. Drawing on his own raw energy, Savage adjusted the grip on his saber and charged forward, front blade raised, angled with the intention of catching the old man in the left shoulder. His grip on the saber hilt was set so he could shift his weight and bring the rear blade to bear, should the need arise.

Jun-dar unable to move out of the way in time, was hit full on by the Sith's doublebladed lightsaber. The lightsaber sliced through his left shoulder straight towards his right hip. Jun-dar's last thought before the lightsaber exited is right hip was how much he had failed the people of Iridonia, and his young apprentice Alex. As the lightsaber exited his hip his eyes meet the Sith's eyes, he knew that it was over. Jun-dar had allowed his fear to be seen in his eyes. Mere seconds later his body crumbled to the floor of the walkway, the half of his body with his head fell down to the walkway that he had destroyed moments ago, while his legs flopped over.

The stench of burning cloth and flesh greeted his nose. The sound of sizzling flesh and organs greeted his ears. And the look of fear in his opponent's eyes greeted his. With a sadistic smile, Savage took his time slicing through the old man as the blade found purchase. Once the blade exited out near the old man's right hip, Savage pulled the blade away and twirled the hilt in his left hand, causing the blades to spin in a circle.
A sense of extreme satisfaction washed over him as he watch the top half of the old man flopped over and fell off the edge of the walkway they were on. It had been a long time since Savage had engaged an enemy and had slain them so gruesomely. He enjoyed every moment of it, allowing his senses to soak up every bit of the situation.
As he basked in his moment of victory, he could feel the effects of the old man's attack wearing off. The darkness came flooding back in, embracing him like the warming rays of sun. Savage extinguished the blades of his lightsaber and returned the hilt to his left hip, where it would hang on his belt. Satisfied with the death of the old man, he began to walk back towards the turbolift, destined for the Golden Room at the top of the Palace. There was still the leadership of the planet to deal with.

As Alex exited the turbo lift, he witnessed his master being slay in a gruesome fashion. This caused something dark in Alex to come to the surface. Without thinking Alex activated his lightsaber and force jumped at the monster that had just killed his master. His lightsaber would come down from the upper right intending to do what this monster did to his master.

Savage sensed the surge of energy within the Force. He felt the darkness ripple through the young man now bearing down on him. Savage allowed his instincts to take over. With his back turned to the incoming attack, Savage spun to his left, his right hand coming up as he moved. Gathering the Force as he moved, Savage splayed his fingers on his right hand and shot a brief barrage of Force Lightning at the incoming assailant, hoping to catch him off guard. Having the the full strength of the darkside once again coursing through him, his attack would be back up to the appropriate strength.

Alex unable to evade the barrage of force lightning, it caught him on the left side of his face going upwards. Alex fell on to the walkway deactivating his lightsaber and let out a painful scream. Still determined to avenge his fallen master, Alex stood up and with his left arm pulled off his cloak. The horrific scaring from the lightning was clearly visible. Alex drew from the pain and activated his lightsaber once again, ready to do battle with the Sith. Alex raised his left hand and summoned the force to produce a powerful Electric Judgment that was aimed straight for the Sith.

Savage watched as the young human hit the walkway and screamed in pain. A grin crossed his face. It began to fade as the human stood up and reactivated his lightsaber. Savage scowled darkly, surprised at the human was able to shrug off such a potent force attack. And then the boy raised his left hand and launched a lightning attack of his own back at Savage. Savage reached down for his lightsaber with his left hand and began bringing it up, blades activating as he raised it to deflect the incoming attack. While the maneuver worked, partially. Savage wasn't quite quick enough to deflect the entirety of the attack. Several smaller bolts of lightning skipped off his blade and connected with his right shoulder. Savage recoiled his shoulder away as pain shot through his shoulder. He glanced back at the human and gritted his teeth. The burning, tingling pain in his right shoulder annoying him more than anything. A smoldering hole in his tunic exposed the blistered skin beneath.
"A lucky blow. But you shall not land another."
Spurred on by the pain, Savage resumed his defensive position. Blade held in front of him, angled forty-five degrees. His knees were bent, ready to act or react. His breathing was elevated a bit, but not enough to make him break a sweat yet. He glared at the young man. Left hand on his saber hilt, right hand free, extended towards the attacker, palm up. Savage then grinned malevolently and motioned for the boy to make his move.

Alex angled his lightsaber downwards pointed at the floor behind him. He ran towards the Sith, spinning his saber in his hand aiming it at the Sith. Alex swung his saber at his opponent locking their blades together, sparks flying every direction as the two lightsabers clashed.
"I'll KILL you for murdering my Master"
Alex's eyes were turning to a bright yellow as he allowed his hatred to consume him to the point that only severe pain would break its' hold over him.

Savage countered his opponent's blade and allowed them to lock up, measuring the boy's strength. He was strong. He had potential. Savage's fierce yellow eyes locked with his opponent. He grinned as he saw the taint of the dark side taking hold of the man. Savage allowed him to press on him, forcing his blade down. As the boy began to think he was going to win the struggle, Savage pressed back against his opponent's blade and then shoved him back, freeing the blades long enough for Savage to shift his grip and spin the saber hilt, bringing rear blade up, hoping to catch his opponent's left arm with it. If he was successful, the blade would slip between the man's torso and arm and sever the arm at the shoulder. If that were to happen, he was ready to use the Force to give the human a good shove backwards as well, if his attack was successful.

Alex not having any real experience in fighting an opponent that uses a doublebladed lightsaber wasn't prepared for the second blade and was unable to block it, causing his left arm to be severed at the shoulder than mere seconds later he was pushed backwards by the Sith's force blast. The taint of the darkside was now disappearing from his eyes, reverting Alex back to himself. Alex was now defeated and was laying on the floor of the walkway. Alex started to blackout all he saw was the Sith.
"I yield"
With that Alex blacked out. He only hoped that somehow he would survive this whole experience.
