Nexus was silent for a moment, noting the girl's sadist nature, and her mother's subtle discomfort with it. She feared for her- that much Nexus could tell. He knew Mercedes well, better than most; this woman did not fear for many things, yet for her daughter, he saw a side of her that was most uncommon- love. He looked to Mercedes, then spoke in a solid, ordering tone.
"Leave us."
He did not look back to see if his apprentice obeyed, he had faith in her obedience, and their torture session showed her what happened when someone brought about his wrath. He walked towards the girl, closing the gap between them- he towered over her, yet he saw no fear in her eyes. Such was the way of children, to be without fear. It was something he would use to his advantage. He did not look down at the body- he knew the man was like any other, a sack of meat and bone. It was the mind that truly mattered.
"What made this man different was something that you cannot see- this is why you must learn about your prey before eliminating him. He feared you, and fear is a great tool of persuasion. Knowledge is the line that divides brief satisfaction from prolonged benefit..."
The dark lord shifted his hand subtly, allowing the force to mold according to his will. The body lifted from the ground with grace, and hung suspended in midair. Entrails leaked out of his wounds and blood dripped upon the floor but Nexus did not mind. He wanted to see the girl's power before he decided which way was best to train her.
"Tell me, how did you kill him? Was it the flaying? Or the hole in his chest?"

::Meanwhile Outside::
The Old Sith was about to raise the gigantic knocker on the Citadel's ironclad doors with his mind, but it wasn't needed. As the knocker rose the titanic door inched open, seemingly unabated by any latch. Jud stepped forward, his HK-J's whined behind him as their blasters primed in anticipation of something, anything, but nothing came.
"Unlocked?" Jud murmured to himself more than to his HK-J's. "A fortress unguarded, and a door unlocked?" Jud's eyebrow raised... "This woman is either too trusting, or utterly confident in her abilities..." Jud smiled as he put his hand on the open door and pushed it ever so slightly, just enough for him and his retinue to pass.
"Either way... This should be fun." Jud said with a glint of his eye.

"His heart was still beating when I went looking for it." She replied calmly, studying her kill. "While I separated him from his fleshy costume he screamed...until he did not. I think that is what ended him. He looked to be in immense pain."
She looked back to the Dark Lord towering over her.
"He did not smell different than any other. Perhaps many fear me?"

Mercedes had not hesitated to leave as her master requested. It wasn't long before she was stopped in the halls. "My Queen, Lord Jud'dayus has arrived." "Excellent. I trust we went out to greet him."The Legionnaire shifted uncomfortable. "Umm, no mam.""Are you telling me I have a Sith parading around my home?" Mercedes stopped walking and turned to the man. "How safe do you think I feel? For myself? For my children?"It was now that Mercedes anger flared. Sure, Nexus could make a mockery of how she ran things, but she would not be made a fool by a stranger. J utting her right hand forward she squeezed. The Legionnaire flinched and grasped at his neck. "You fools! I am disgusted and displease. You put MY family at risk with your ignorance and laziness!?" She had raised him up a foot, and stood trembling for a minute before she abruptly let him go, and regained composure. "You will bring me the men on duty at the front gates. Tonight."Tonight, they would have a bonfire.
"Lord Jud'dayus, I presume?"
Her soft voice echoed off the stone walls as Mercedes descended the large stairwell at the end of the entrance hallway. As she reached the foot of the stair, it was plain to see she looked incredibly un-sith-like. Her silks were white with gold trim, her hair braided up onto her head, and a delicate golden crown on her brow. Mercedes' face was soft, warm and inviting, and the only thing that threw off the atmosphere she brought was the pungent stench of fear from three of the gathered soldiers lining the hall.

The Old Sith heard her before seeing her, and that was even before feeling her presence through the Force. Jud put his hand up as his HK-J's reacted, stopping them from firing on the elegantly dressed woman. He made a mental note of it - the Darkness of Byss - and the twisted edifice he stood in. How it masked those in its confines from his keenly trained senses made the Sith's jaw clench. With that in mind, he scanned the dark recesses of the open room for any signs of betrayal, but there seemed to be only the woman and her guards.
"You presume correctly..." Jud answered in a genial youthful voice. He bowed deeply to the woman before him, his arms extending out in a sweeping motion. "And I gather that you are the Queen Mother, Mercedes Asari, correct? He said as he rose from his bow, staring at the women from underneath his hood. "I apologize for the intrusion, milady. But it seemed the door was ajar...So, I thought it no harm entering at my leisure." Jud smirked as he felt the fear rise in the Queen's entourage of men. They were scared, but Jud knew it had nothing to do with him... They feared her. That was a good sign at least.
"I have brought the artifacts that you inquired about." Jud stepped out of the way, motioning to the two HK-J's flanking him. They stepped forward a few paces, one holdings a pair of armored gauntlets, the other a monstrous dark sword. "Though I find it rather fascinating that you somehow knew I had these in my possession." Jud stated bluntly, stepping in front of the artifacts again, one hand crooked behind his back the other waving around expressively as he spoke. "And what is even more interesting is the only person to have known where these objects could have gone, is dead..." Jud turned his hooded face to the woman again, hoping she could feel his eye piercing into hers. "And usually, dead men; tell no tales. But what do I know?" The Old Sith said with a chortle and shrug of his shoulders, before clicking his fingers and walking forward, his HK-J's in step behind him.
"You'll get your trinkets, as soon as I've sated myself on your archives." Jud wagged his finger in a no-no manner. "And not a moment before."

Her focus never left the old Sith as her spoke, even the relics came and went without so much as a glimpse. The hint of a smirk played at the corner of her lips.
"This isn't a problem, Lord Jud'dayus. I think you will find the Archives to your liking. Please, first, come in and share a drink with me. It is my custom to drink to my company; a gesture of good faith between strangers." She offered a delicate hand symbolically, then, not waiting for an answer, she led the way to her solar. It was habit to invite guests to her sanctum before letting them run amok; traditionally, the notion of sharing drink and food would secure safety for both parties. Though it was not such a common practice now, she still used it in good faith. "I understand your curiosity surrounding my contacting you, but I must admit it was a merely a stroke of luck."
The solar itself was spacious enough. Three large windows kept it well lit and tapestries of unknown origin gave life to the hard stone walls. In the center was what looked like an open-concept fireplace and modest seating surrounding. As she stepped through the threshold, a woman was gingerly placing a bottle of wine and twp empty glasses on a table among the chairs.
"It is true, my late Master, the great Lord Nexus, has perished. I must admit, I had a bit of an attachment to the man," as her words begun to spin a tale, she poured them each an ounce of the ruby vintage, "to seek out the only remaining morsels of his mortal life was only natural to me. Word of your possession soon reached me, though, I couldn't tell you how." She chuckled as she brought the glass closer to her lips, and the serving woman brought her guest his. "It's amazing what can be heard when one seeks the little whispers, am I right? But to the point; it seemed luck has smiled on us both with this meeting: I reclaiming my Master's things, and your keen interest in my archives."
Mercedes raised her glass and tilted it towards him in toast.

"Excellent..." Jud answered, as the Queen voiced that there would be no problem with the terms put down by the Sith.
As Mercedes offered her hand, Jud followed with steady steps, taking in his surrounding. His two HK-J's seemed to fixated on the armed guards, but that was in their protocol; anything sentient was a possible threat. "Ah, yes, I could do with a drink." Jud smiled. "It has been a long trip."
"Oh?" Jud said in faked interest to the Queen's explanation to this meeting. "I suppose, the Force does seem to work in mysterious ways." The Sith genuinely stated, not believing a word of what he just said. "But I've never put much stock in luck, luck is a fools attempt to understand something good out of a life of shtocko." Jud grinned under his hood, wondering if the woman would bite, the jab was slight and down played, but it was still there.
He had been lead into a finely furnished room, and shown a seat. Once letting his body relax into the cushions, Jud took stock of the tapestries on the walls. None looked familiar, which was odd, he was well versed in crests from many different ages of the Galaxy. Jud tore his concentration away from the tapestries when Mercedes mentioned that she had been training under Nexus. Jud's jaw clenched slightly at the mention of the man. Their last meeting had been... stressed, but it made sense now. His being here was a woman's last chance to be close to a lover. Jud cringed at the thought. Love, with such a brute was beyond Jud's comprehension, and that was where it would stay. Jud leaned back in the seat, steepling his hands and grinning. The Queen Mother had tipped her hand too soon. She loved the man, or at least had deep feeling for him. What better to use against a person than love? Jud's mind went to Sylvis, but he pushed the remembrance down into the inky-black depths of his cold heart.
"Yes..." Jud said slowly, taking the glass from the timid girl serving him. The Sith touched her hand knowingly, running his index finger over hers while taken the glass. He felt her heart race, her hand shaking as she pulled away hurriedly from him. He just smiled, the Queen's subservients were a bunch of timid nerfs for the slaughter. If circumstances allowed he would have fun with the staff. "Yes, one can hear all kinds of things if one just listens." Jud said smoothly, toasting before taking a drink from the fluted glass.
"I'm sorry to see these pieces go." Jud started, finally taking down the cowl of his hood. "But your archives are more important to me than another trophy in my collection." Jud's face beamed with youthful vigor, his face was regal, almost Adonis-like in its perfect symmetry. His eyes were a hazel and his long honey-brown hair pooled out to his chest.
"So, tell me more... I haven't seen your Master in ages." Jud grinned again.

"Yes, well," she began, emphasizing her best smile, "luck or not, we're both satiated."
It was like the underground clubs again, she mused to herself, every word is just a mask for a plot in the works. The old Sith's company had already left a sour taste in Mercedes' mouth that even the sweetness of the wine could not please, and his cynicism was grinding at her patience. It was as her eyes closed to take in the last of her drink that Jud'dayus removed his hood.
She was trained to expect the unexpected, but this sudden change in perceived identity was a surprise. It took her best to maintain an icy composure.
"You have not seen him because Lord Nexus is dead." Mercedes stated bluntly. "That would be the only reason you hold such relics. He left Byss a local decade ago, and never returned. I'd take that as he was slain, or abandoned the planet; either way, he is dead to me."

A twinge of anger, a flush of the face. It was so minute that it barely registered to the Sith's searching gaze. She was good, and that excited the Sith further. This Queen Mother, as she liked to call herself, seemed to be made of tougher stuff than Jud had originally expected. She was one of Nexus' students after all, Jud mused... Thinking back on the young man he nearly killed in the dunes of Tatooine's endless desert, and the monster that he had seen on Korriban a decade ago. Quite the change, Jud thought to himself as he continued to calculate the woman's worth. The Old Sith couldn't deny that she was strong willed, but did she have the stomach to inflict pain? Or to watch as Jud squeezed the life out of one of her pitiful servants? Jud thought of Nexus again and on the darkness that had inhabited him when last they spoke, all those years ago. "He must have loved you..." Jud said aloud, barely above a whisper. Knowing that a woman of such elegance and poise was beneath Nexus' needs. He wanted death dealers, and psychotics, not a pretty smile or an hourglass figure. Jud looked at the woman again, running through her possible former lives. Was she of noble blood, a slum girl, an orphan, or just your everyday whore? Whatever she had been, Jud doubted it had anything to do with honing herself to be an instrument of death; though it seemed Nexus might have changed that.
All the better to test, Jud thought as he took another sip of the weak wine.
"Oh..." Jud said tapping his left hand against his head. "Where is my brain today?" He laughed. "Of course he's dead. I tend to mix things up every now and again, milady. Forgive my prying." Jud bowed his head. Though he looked the part of an apt young man, he gathered Mercedes knew he was much older. He'd play the dementia card for now. Older people were prone to bouts of forgetfulness and time displacement. Not that he really had to fake it at all, he was insane, but this was much more enjoyable.

"His heart was still beating when I went looking for it." She replied calmly, studying her kill. "While I separated him from his fleshy costume he screamed...until he did not. I think that is what ended him. He looked to be in immense pain." She looked back to the Dark Lord towering over her. "He did not smell different than any other. Perhaps many fear me?" The dark side was strong in this one. Mercedes was right about her daughter's potential- Nexus could feel it, nearly palpable in the air around him."Do you like to know that you are feared? They fear you now, perhaps, but you are a mere shadow of what you will become in the coming years- that will be something that incites true fear..." Nexus fell silent, allowing the dripping of blood and guts to be the dominant sound of the room. Without taking his eyes off of the child, his mind reached out to the world around him; he noted a familiar presence nearby. Jud'dayus- after all of these years. Nexus lowered his hand to his side once more, causing the body to fall with a less than graceful flop, letting out a sickeningly wet noise as it hit the ground. He looked over at Lux."I hear Lord Ramiel has been training you as of late? What skills have you learned?" Even though his eyes were on the girl, his mind was on Jud'dayus and the beacon that the man had in his possession.Me. Nexus thought to himself- He has parts of me, bound to the gauntlets and blade. It was long past time he regain more of his strength."Follow me child- there is something I want you to see." With that, the Dark Lord turned on his heel and made his way to the door without glancing back to see if Mercedes' daughter was in tow. He wove through the halls, following the miniature force nexus that was caused by the accumulation of auras- cold, calm, calculating; fluctuating, unpredictable, ancient; hot, raw and chaotic. The dark lord eventually found himself outside of the door to Mercedes' solar once more- he had allowed his presence to fade, blending with Byss itself. Pressing the key panel, the door slid open, admitting the Dark Lord, and hopefully Lux. To Jud's eyes, Nexus would appear to be no more than a stranger- his aura was drowned out by the aura trapped within the artifacts within Jud's possession. No man knew who would stand in their midst until it was too late.
Darth Nexus looked upon Jud'dayus with knowing eyes, though he did not speak- he watched the man, curious of how he would react to a stranger interrupting his meeting.

Jud awaited a curt reply from the woman, but never received one, as a large man seemed to gain access to the room. Jud remained seated, reclining further back into the chair, as the brooding man made his way into the room. Jud looked at the imposing figure, he was tall and board and most certainly out of place. The thought caused the Sith to smile his usual congenial smile, putting on a face of one completely oblivious to his surroundings.
Oh, but Jud wasn't, and he wouldn't be intimidated or threatened. No, that was for weaker beings. The untimely entrance by the hulk only hieghtened Jud's possible hypothesis, but he'd leave that for later. It would be great fun to play dumb in the meantime.
"Another?" Jud asked. "I'm surprised at how I can't seem to sense anyone here..." Jud let the sentence hang, he wondered if the man would give him a name of remain stoically silent. It really didn't matter, the void or better yet complete absence of a Force signature only made the man in front of him stand out more. He was hiding, hiding from the Old Sith. Jud continued to smile, realizing that he was in more danger than he had originally planned for.
Jud leaned forward, putting the fluted glass on an end table before reclining back again.
"A Nexu may change it's spots..." Jud said with a chuckle, before looking at the man with a steely gaze. "...but it still remains a Nexu." Jud smiled.
"Doesn't it, Malakaii?"

Lux knew that those around her feared her, but she had not understood why, nor cared to inquire. She made no reply, and instead let the soft splashing sounds carry the conversation for her.
Her eyes stole away from the man's body, and reconnected to those of The Dark Lord. "Lord Diux taught my brother and I much in the arts of combat, and the force. I do not think he enjoyed his time with me." There was a pause.
Following Lord Nexus out step-for-step, she heard the body hit the ground.
There was no fear in the man when he spoke to her, and Lux liked that. There was however, a healthy level of what could be considered respect; she liked that too. She asked no questions as she followed through the halls, but as they approached her mother's solar, Lux's curiosity piqued. Something felt out of place here that made her uncomfortable. Her slender body anxiously tensed.
When she was apprehensive, it was as if the air around her thickened...ripe with energy. Her eyes darkened impulsively, and her fingers nervously twitched. She did not like change.
As the door opened, Lux laid eyes on the anomaly. There was a man in her room. He was strong. He was unfamiliar.
Sparks seemed to dance over her finger tips and her eyes bore into the stranger. She heard no words from his mouth. She didn't need to. She didn't like him.

She hadn't been given time to respond before the dead walked in.
Nostrils flared, lips pursed, and teeth grit; his timing was impeccable. And her had brought her daughter to watch. Joy.
She stood, an icy glare in her eyes. Her master had seemed to have lost his mind when he lost his head. With a snarl on her lips, she rolled her eyes and waved her hand. "Sounds like few introductions are in order then, doesn't it?"
She drew her goblet once more and filled it with wine.
"Lord Jud'dayus; my daughter, Princess Luxus Asari." She tipped the glass to her lips and drank, unamused.

The Dark Lord was silent- a shadow without a voice. He slipped into the room with the girl at his side. Everything changed once all were in the room. Sensations went wild. He felt curiosity, annoyance, hatred and acceptance. The Dark Lord displayed no such emotion- his face remained unmoved by emotion.
He noted the child's tension raising as she entered the room- perhaps now would be a time to speak, but still he remained silent, instead resting his right hand on Lux's shoulder. It was heavy, yet not deliberately so- the passive nature of the hand made it act as a pillar versus a battering ram as most knew it. He looked to the child knowingly, and while he didn't speak, his expression said it all.
Be calm.
At least on the surface. When the Dark Lord referred to calm it was always in an ironic sense. For now he simply sought for Lux to be neutral. He felt the spark on her finger tips and the heat in her heart yet now was not the time, nor the place for such things. At least until Jud'dayus spoke.
Nexus maintained his silence, giving the sith nothing more than a nod in acknowledgment. Malakaii, he called him; yet Malakaii he was no more. names went with bodies, and bodies came and left- but none of that mattered. Jud'dayus knew his identity- that pushed aside the facade of formality. Without it, things were quite blunt.
"You have some things that belong to me..."

The Queen Mother's reaction to the abrupt interjection was comical to the Old Sith. She was annoyed, it plainly showed through both her actions and voice. It was evident that she had known that her Master had been among the living. Probably for some time now, and that she had carefully orchestrated this meeting for the artifacts to give to her Master. Jud chuckled, he saw how the Queens carefully laid plans had been cast aside by her Master's bravado.
It was also obvious to the Old Sith that Merecedes had little to no understanding of her Master's ties with the venerable Sith before her. Jud thought on Nexus and nodded his head to himself. Poor girl, he thought, the Queen couldn't understand how Nexus would have never been able to stay in the shadows for long. It wasn't in his character; it had never been. All brawn and no brain, Jud thought with a sly smirk as Mercedes introduced the brooding young girl behind the form of Nexus as her daughter.
"I see..." Jud said lowly as he got to his feet, making his way towards Nexus and the Queen's daughter. She stared at Jud with such intensity, such unbridled hate and rage, it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end with excitement.
Jud saw Nexus put his hand softly yet firmly on the girl's shoulder to hold her back. The Sith's lips cut into a thin knife-slash smile across his face. "Oh, no no Malakaii, let her go..." Jud hissed, his youthful illusion starting to disappear with the steps he continued to take towards them. "She's much more interesting than her mother. I'd like to take her from you first." Jud smiled, his hair turning a silvery, peppered grey. "Then I'll take her mother from you." Jud continued forward, his youthful skin degrading into the sunken pallor of a corpse. "Then, my dear Malakaii... Then that just leaves us as we've always been. Alone." Jud smiled, his thin lips parting to show aged teeth. He had covered the room swiftly and softly and was now toe to toe with Nexus. Jud craned his neck up to look the beast in the eyes, just before Nexus spoke of his 'property'.
Jud laughed in the Dark Man's face. "Yours?" Jud shook his head and started to pace in front of the hulk. "No, they belonged to a permutation of you..." Jud looked at Nexus and scoffed. "... A permutation that is dead and gone. So, no... they aren't yours." Jud stopped and put his hand to his mouth in mock surprise before speaking again. "But, you need them, yet why?" Jud turned to his two HK-J's, then turned back with a smile as he wagged his finger at Nexus. "You've been playing with magics again, you silly boy. Haven't you?" Jud laughed. "Did I not warn you on the consequences for meddling in things you have no comprehension of!" Jud spat at Nexus, an ebb of his rage peaking out from his otherwise calm exterior. "Now look at you." Jud motioned with his hands, as if pointing Nexus out to an invisible audience. "Pitiful being, only held together by Sith magics and your remaining worldly trinkets."
The Old Sith clicked his fingers and the two HK-J's dropped the artifacts to the tiled floor with a resounding thud. Their modified repeating blasters came to bare, yet they didn't fire. Their Master stepped in front of Nexus again, his single eye burned intensely as he spoke. "I can destroy you. You know I have that power...You're not to full strength, hence you need what I have." Jud motioned to the dropped gauntlets and sword, then to Mercedes. "You should thank your learner, she does you well... but don't think me blind to the facts or what these pieces meant to you."
Jud turned on his heels, putting his back to Nexus and the girl, and started towards his seat. "You will get what you want... because I miss our talks. But not before I get what I have come for." Jud stated with a nod of his head, as he turned around to seat himself, waving a servant over for more wine. "Now, you can try to kill me. Because you have what you need here and now... Or, let me into your archives, then on my way. You get what you desire and so do I." Jud let the options hang for a moment. "The first choice would be your preferred, I think, no?" Jud said with a shrug. "Yet, I'd implore you to use that pea-sized lump within that massive head of yours to consider the latter." Jud leaned forward his finger pointed towards Nexus, as if scolding a child. "You'll see that I can kill the three of you, despite my age and the fact that I am now comfortably seated."
Jud looked around. "Now, where's that damn wine?"

Silence hung in the air after Jud'dayus' words- the tension was palpable and all eyes fell upon the newest incarnation of the lord of chaos. One second went by, then two. Then Nexus did what no one expected. He smiled.
"You would do well to remember Korriban Jud'dayus..."
His voice was soft and smooth like honey, yet there was an acidic bite behind them. Silence followed the veiled words that only Nexus and Jud'dayus understood. When Jud'dayus knew the Dark Lord on Tattooine, he had been more Malakaii than Nexus; he was rash, emotional and quick to anger. Such things had led to his downfall on the dunes, yet he had changed since then- that much Jud had seen on Korriban. There was something chilling behind the man's pale blue eyes, which looked upon Jud'dayus, before looking at the artifacts.
The blade and gauntlets were dumped without the slightest hint of grace, to most, that would be a sleight against the Dark Lord, for these treasures were priceless, and yet Nexus didn't react in any way apart from gesturing at the gauntlets with his right hand. Lifted by the invisible will of the force, the gauntlets levitated away from the droids and settled on Mercedes' desk. Next came the blade- a colossal weapon wrought from mysterious, masterful hands.
The weapon itself was as tall as a man, and as wide as a hand, yet as the weapon rested itself in the waiting palm of its master, he held it as though it weighed no more than a feather. Nexus did not put aside the sword however, but instead kept it in his hand where he studied it with a pensive expression. He murmured to the weapon.
"It has been a long time my old friend- I am sure you are hungry for blood. Don't worry, it will come."
The Dark Lord lifted his eyes from the blade of his weapon and locked them on Jud'dayus once more. He watched the man for a moment, then looked at his two droids. A sly smile played across his lips but for a seconds, before his face returned to it's apathetic expression. He said no more words, but instead walked past Jud'dayus' droids and out of Mercedes' solar, taking with him his blade though not his gauntlets. He looked back, wondering if Jud'dayus was going to follow him to the archives, or if he cared more for wine that might have very well been poisoned by Mercedes after his comments.

Jud smiled at the jab. Nexus was right, he had dealt a devastating blow to the Old Sith on Korriban. One that almost claimed his life, but that was a different Nexus, that was a man that harnessed the power of Jud's most hated enemy. The Sith's face soured for a moment, thinking on Apocalypse, and on what it must have taken for Nexus to bind himself to such unbridled power and hate. Jud knew a part of his monstrous former learner remained in the new form of Nexus, or his trinkets, but Jud also knew that Nexus was no longer whole. He had scattered his essence too far into the aether. He barely registered in the Force to the Old Sith, and as he lifted his trinkets to himself, Jud felt the man's presence pass by him.
Jud left out a chuckle. "Oh, I indeed remember Korriban, Nexus." Jud said, using the man's given name, his dead name losing any hold over him. "I was weak, as you are now." Jud smiled. "But I am renewed, and restored to a former glory, one that you knew when you walked the dunes of Tatooine." Jud wondered if Nexus could pick up on the fact that he was in act, stronger. The time recovering after their last encounter, and the training under the Emperor before his death, had shown the Old Sith what he had been missing. He had lost himself, and lost sight of his quest during the years of playing house and making peace with the people around him. Now was a time of renewal, and he wouldn't be caught off guard by the whelp again.
Jud watched Nexus walk by him and nodded his head, getting to his feet and bowing to the Queen Mother. "Pardon me, milady, it seems your Master has something to show me." Jud started after Nexus, giving his HK-J's a silent nod. They stood sentinel and didn't follow their Master, instead they stood at-ease in the Queens chambers.
"Nexus..." Jud called to the towering man ahead of him. "It's impolite to not bow to a lady before leaving her presence." Jud laughed, before following close behind.

As the men spoke, the Queen watched with wide eyes.
She had never seen anyone speak to her master in that manor, and the thought of his offense infuriated her. And she wasn't alone; from across the room she could feel her daughter's rage build.
As they left the room, Mercedes turned back to her wine and poured a third glass. Draining it, she rolled her eyes and turned towards her desk where the gauntlets sat. "Do yourself a favour, my child: don't learn tact from Lord Nexus..."

The force palpitated around her as she watched them leave.
Lux did not understand what had just transpired, but she was angry. Her mother was angry too, but just let them pass by. Under knit brow, and as her mother turned, Lux followed the pair at a distance.
She knew the pair would feel her, but she didn't thinks he cared. Nexus told her he wanted to show her something, and she figured it might be what he was going to show the old man. Maybe he would let her kill the old man. She decided she liked the thought of that. She probably couldn't, but she'd revel in the thought regardless as she plotted down the dark hallways.

The two Dark Lords walked the corridor in a tense silence. The Lord of Chaos with sword in hand, and the man that had humbled him all those years ago. Before he left, Nexus could taste the disgust of his apprentice and her spawn- it lingered on the back of this throat as a potent bile, but he ignored it. Mercedes believed she knew her master, yet she only knew a fraction of the being he was- she knew nothing of Tattooine nor Korriban, both of which were before her time as his apprentice. The Dark Lord rarely spoke of his past, though Jud knew of it, at least a more recent part of it.
Behind them, he could feel the child's pulse, hot and unbridled. Without saying a word to Jud, he turned his head towards Lux, then jerked it in the direction in which the two ancient figures strode. A gesture to come up with him. Nexus was not a fan of working in the shadows, unlike most sith, and even if that was Lux's preference, she didn't need to hide in her own castle. After all, it would be her own, once he left for his final journey.
Nexus returned his attention forward, sliding the colossal weapon in a sheath that was hidden, slung across his back under his robes. He noted a pair of Hssiss guardians standing in front of what appeared to be an average door. The door was 2.5 meters tall, and consisted of a pane of obsidian colored metal- like every other door in this sector, yet the presence of the guards gave the doors importance away. They stiffened as the trio approached, ready to abide by their masters orders- unbeknownst to the fact that he stood before them in new skin. But they would know soon enough.
"Honored guests, we regret to inform you that this is a restricted area of the fortress, closed to all but Lord Nexus."
Nexus could sense a knowing smirk on Jud'dayus' face, but the Dark Lord never broke his stride, coming closer to the pair. The soldier to the left reached for his blaster, but never drew it as Nexus suddenly spoke.
"All is Darkness until the light interrupts. It is my duty to snuff that light and return the galaxy to its natural state."
Few knew the words, though now Jud'dayus and Lux knew them. Not that it mattered- all that mattered was the guard's perception of it. The code of the Hssiss, and the Praetorians, the elite of the Dark Legions army. A code that Nexus spoke to them when he enlisted the men. A code that was only known to the soldiers and the dark lord. The Hssiss paused before slowly removing his hand from the blaster. Nexus spoke again, this time in a serpentile, alien tongue.
"V'larr'ska Du Vs'ol" - Let me pass, in some tongue unknown to the ears of those around him. That was the final piece. Both Hssiss dropped to one knee and bowed their heads. Some soldiers would have spoken in joy, but the Hssiss knew their master. To presume his death was to lack faith in their code- no Hssiss lacked faith. They did their duty and allowed the lord and his followers to pass.
The door slid open as Nexus came near, revealing a narrow passage way that led to a flight of stairs. Nexus didn't slow his stride, and walked down the steps- the light seemed to dim with each passing step and the air grew thick and heavy. At the bottom of the steps, the narrow corridor turned into a massive hall with an arching ceiling. The walls were lit by fires on braziers, fires that would never extinguish due to the sith sorcery which forged them. The dark side was strong in this place- they were in the belly of Byss, where a dark force Nexus thrived. It was upon this nexus that the temple of the Lord of Chaos sat, and within that temple, the archives. Nexus stopped and looked to his followers behind him. He was silent, watching them with cold eyes. After a few moments he spoke once more- his voice was loud, reflecting off the arched ceiling, creating resonating echoes.
"Should any man woman or child try to open this door, they will find that it will not budge. Try for yourself if you doubt me."
The door itself was beautifully crafted, wrought of a mysterious black metal which glimmered with the same malice as the Dark Lord's gauntlets. On the metal were carved depictions of war, death and monstrosities that could not be identified. It was a dark art piece though its true value was in the sorcery which was bound to it, as locks were imbedded with crystals attuned to the Dark Lord, meaning they would not open for any other being. The door looked strong yet it was stronger still, as no application of the force would budge it- it was truly a vault.
