Jud followed, keeping up a brisk pace behind Nexus, neither of them uttering a word to one another. None were needed. It was an unsaid circumstance between the two old adversaries. They understood each others demeanor, and at present there was nothing to gain by either taking pot-shots at the other.
The girl...
On the other hand was ripe for the picking, and the thought of the supple girl's rage continued to make Jud feel welcome in this place. The Old Sith turned to see the youth trailing behind them a little ways down the corridor, swiftly staying to the confines of the shadows. He was about to call out bemusedly to the girl, but Jud sensed Nexus' attention turn her way, and she instantly beckoned to him - like a well trained dog. The display made Jud laugh, its harsh hiss echoing off the confines of the corridor that they tread. Nexus had them trained well. The Whore Queen and her bitch offspring seemed to like nothing more than to make their Master feel powerful and appreciated... So be it, Jud thought with a grin, as they neared an obsidian door, guards approaching them in readiness to a confrontation.
Jud watched as Nexus said some dribble about darkness and light. The cryptic sentiment of it made the Sith sigh out loud. It was only when Nexus spoke in a language he didn't recognize, that Jud's ears perked up with some sense of interest. He couldn't pick out anything of importance, so he just shrugged. Jud knew much about the Galaxy... but linguistics had never been his strong suit. With an outward shake of his head, Jud noticed that whatever Nexus had uttered seemed to work, as the guards bowed and let the three by.
"Ah, of course... Catacombs." Jud said softly aloud, not necessarily to anyone as they started to descend into the bowels of the Citadel. "Always such theatrics, Nexus..." Jud said, clapping his hands in mock admiration to Nexus' pomp. The deeper they went the darker it became. Not just psychically but also through the Force, and Jud became acutely aware what they were slowly climbing down towards. "A Force Nexus..." Jud whispered, the side of his mouth curled into a sinister smirk. He knew that the planet of Byss was a Dark place, and that there were definitely Force Nexuses, yet he hadn't figured he would have been sitting on one. He nodded his head though, thinking it over, as he continued the spiraling steps ever downwards. Of course, Jud thought... It was the reason he couldn't feel Nexus prior, and the reason that Nexus was also a black hole to Jud's formidable senses. "You can still tap into it, can't you?" Jud said again in a whisper. It was actually quite ironic. Jud had built his Temple in the middle of the Dune Sea for the same reason; to harness the power of a Force Nexus. To hide, and not be bothered, and also to regain his strength when needed.
Nexus thought he had taken the Old Sith to a place he wouldn't have a chance in, but he was wrong. As much as Nexus had the power of shadows and Sith magics, Jud had enough Dark Side energies to hold his own. Shadows or not. It almost made him laugh in glee. Nexus had lead the Sith not just to a potent well, which he could drink from but also to the archives. "Two birds with one stone." Jud said aloud, in a sing-songy manner as they stood in front of a massive obsidian door again.
"Oh, goodie goodie... I was starting to think we'd never get there."

They were quiet but she could almost hear the thoughts turning in their skulls. The tension pleased her well enough.
When Lord Nexus turned to beckon her, Lux's lips gave way to a snarl. She respected him well enough, but not yet enough to come to his call. Instead, she merely joined their party, but stayed behind.
If he does something stupid, I want to see what his abdomen looks like inside out.
They were heading deep below the castle now. The energy collected reminded her of how she felt flaying the Ruggers in the garden.
The old man's words cut through the air like a slimy knife; leaving trails of malice and sarcasm in it's wake. Lux did not like that.
She stood a step back from the two, taking in all she could.

The Dark Lord stood in silence for a moment, noting Jud'dayus' anticipation and Lux's irritation. Jud'dayus' comment passed over deaf ears as Nexus lifted his right hand, placing it against one of the wrought figures on the door. There was a notable pulse of chaotic energy as the Dark Lord exposed his force signature to the barrier. There was a moment of utter stillness, brief yet long enough to incur potential doubt. Then the door opened, swinging silently inward on its hinges, exposing the dark sanctum which lay beyond. An unnaturally cold breeze entered the hall as air left the sanctum. As soon as the doors were still, Nexus strode through the threshold and into the ante-chamber.
What lay before them was a sight that seemed physically impossible- it was an entire underground city, deep within the belly of Byss. The Ante-Chamber was a domed pantheon so large that the word massive does not do it justice. The floor, made of rough stone, stretched forward only a few yards before dropping off into a chasm that echoed with the murmur of running water. To his back and sides were rugged stone walls which shifted from black marble to white marble as it neared the apex of the dome which hung over head. Looking to his left, a pair of great stone feet dominated the ground, a similar pair was also found on his right. These feet belonged to giant monolithic statues, hewn of abyssal black stone with white veins- the statues depicted men of powerful physique, posed standing straight up, with their arms held in front of them, bent upwards to hold the ceiling up above them. Thick broken shackles of wrought iron hung around their ankles and wrists.
While the bodies of the statues mirrored one another with the same detailed muscular physique, each statue had a different face, adorned with its own unique mask carved of different materials material. Glancing up at the faces nearby, Nexus could see Obsidian, Gold and what appeared to be wood. The old man explained that each mask represented an idea of the Forsworn. The statue to his right bore a mask that looked very much like the mask he once wore.
Directly ahead of them was a set of tall like pillars unlike any he had seen before. Hewn into a tall, narrow, three sided obelisks with flat tops, these pillars appeared in pairs, flanking stone bridges that stretched over the yawning gorge. There were three of these bridges within Nexus' field of vision, though he was sure more were scattered on the other side of the cavernous hall.
While the outer walls of the hall were rough hewn and natural, there were several smooth sections with openings similar to the one where he just exited. Past these openings were bridges much like the one that he was on. Along with these openings, there several carved outcroppings that resembled faces with opened maws from which water tumbled forth. The water would free fall for several feet before crashing onto an aqueduct which crossed the seemingly bottomless chasm, towards an interior wall. Unlike the natural hewn outer wall of the hall, the inner wall was smooth, polished black stone. Nexus led the pair through another pair of pillars, where they would find themselves standing on a smooth stone walkway of some sort, which wrapped around to form a giant ring of stone. The path was roughly twenty meters wide, and ended in a series of arches, which wrapped around the inside of the ring. Like the bridges, there were no rails within the inside of the ring.
To look down, a viewer would find themselves looking across a yawning chasm, stretching out for hundreds of meters. Within the chasm was the inside wall of the ring, whose monotonous smooth stone was broken by the outcroppings of a wrap around stair case which was wide enough to hold five men abreast, so long as the fifth man did not fear death. His eyes went lower, following the stairs to find where they ceased. Holes appeared in the stones, and while they looked small from here, Nexus could see that they were carved. Perfect pentagons- some were illuminated while others remained dark. Windows. He was standing at the top of a hollow cylinder. No; not a cylinder, a city. Lower still, trying to find the bottom of the pit, all they would find was a veil of mist with an ominous orange glow. That was the source of the heat which warmed these stones. But what was it? Were they in the belly of some great volcano?
Nexus continued without a word, slipping through a set of pillars on the inner edge of the monolith. He didn't fall, but instead stepped down. The stairs met here. Nexus turned back towards Jud'dayus and Lux.
"Come, it is a long descent."
The Dark Side was strong in this place. It pulsed heavily, with subtle ebbing in the background. The air was no longer cold and stagnant, but now hot and humid. The Dark Lord began to descend into the belly of the beast.

The child's eyes never left the old man. She followed them down the stairs. It smelled damp down here. She wrinkled her nose. She wondered how bodies would sound falling into the chasm. She wondered how the Jud man would sound; like an old man, or a young one? Would his screams betray his true age? Her glare hardened as they continued down.

Jud felt the youth's stare on the back of his head, its burning hatred bringing a smile to the Old Sith's face. He stopped his descent just long enough to turn his head slightly towards the girl, Lux.
"Well girl, stop thinking it and do it..." Jud stated bluntly, his skeletal grin mocking the girl behind him. "I'm also anxious to hear your screams."

"Save your taunting for when we reach the bottom Jud'dayus."
They descended. Deeper and deeper, darker and darker. As they went lower, the air grew heavier and warm. Now the only light was the subtle ambient red glow that came from the bottom of the pit. They passed several passages and portals on their way down, though there was not a single soul to be seen. All was hidden in the pulsating energies of the Nexus. Even though they were next to one another, none could detect their counterpart's aura.
They went deeper still. The air became filled with the bitter scent of brimstone. Beads of sweat formed on the back of their necks as the temperature climbed. Hairs stood on their ends and goose bumps crawled up skin- a response to the unnatural tingling chill that came from the darkness, countering the pulsating heat that came from the core.
When they finally reached the bottom, the stairs turned into a suspended stone walk way, which stretched over the yawning, glowing chasm. The heat here was nigh unbearable. In the center of the walkway was a circular platform; the platform consisted of raised pedestals, which surrounded a glowing red obelisk. A holocron- one of massive size- such as that none have ever seen. Nexus crossed the chasm and looked back at Jud'dayus.
"I hope you weren't expecting leather bound tomes...those are rather...impractical."
Nexus looked at Jud'dayus, then at Lux, wondering if her irritation had been weakened by the descent, or intensified.

"Fine." said Jud with a huff, as he continued deeper and deeper into the heart of the planet with the two Siths. This journey had taken a turn for the surreal, and the effort of having to continue to follow Nexus was beginning to grate on Jud. He wanted his prize, and he wanted it yesterday. If this was some elaborate kind of trick, or better yet a trap. The Old Sith was in for the fight of his life.
Finally they came to a vast expanse with a raised diocese over the molten core of the world. They walked towards what Jud could only gather as an alter. A large obelisk stood in the center of the platform, a holocron perched at it's apex. The atmosphere was almost inhospitable, and Jud gave both of his tour guides a side-long stare to see how they were holding up.
"I prefer light reading, yes..." Jud stated, while he craned his neck to look up at the holocron.

While at first glance, the apex of the obelisk appeared to be the holocron, it need take only a few more moments to note the subtle throbbing and fading colors that glowed through out the entire obelisk. It was not a base that held one holocron, but rather a massive holocron in itself, or rather a network of several. Nexus looked at Jud'dayus with a smirk.
"If light reading is what you seek, you can find it at any old library. The gift I offer to you is priceless."
Nexus stepped towards the holocron and brushed his fingers against it. The obelisk rumbled, sending vibrations through out the room. The dark lord's fingers slid over the mysterious pulsating materials, around a corner and back again. When he finally took his fingers off, he looked at Jud'dayus.
"What you see before you is one of the most unrivaled collections of knowledge in the galaxy. For years I have roamed the abyss, seeking knowledge and power. Over time I lost data, only to stumble onto it once more years later. This is Vladus holocron, it contains the information of jedi, sith, mandalorian and everything between. Some of it is data I have collected and input while others are direct references. Know that you are one of the few who know of its existence- not because of any love I hold for you, but for the favor you did for me. Not even Mercedes truly understands the value of this archive. Now, would you still prefer to read from leather and paper?"
The Holocron let out a reverberating thrum as Nexus removed his hands from the obelisk. The Dark Lord looked to Jud'dayus.
"Indulge for as long as you wish, though the Holocrons may never leave this temple. The force Nexus is all that has the ability to sustain the structure's integrity."

Oh, he'd hear her screams alright, scream of joy as she disemboweled him.
Her glare was snapped apart by Nexus's insistence to continue. She swallowed her predatory leer and replaced it with a smug smirk. She wanted to see what would draw just a man to their planet. She bet it would be disappointing and useless to her. She continued following regardless; curiosity often got the better of her.
There was a fine layer of sweat beading on her forehead as they reached the end. The smell and heat of her surrounding labored her breathing, but she fought to keep the pace.
Well, this is far more interesting that she thought. She had never seen anything like it in the books she was forced to read. Leaving her resentment for her companions behind, it was as if she and the object were alone in the room. The light was brilliantly captivating.
She stepped toward it, unintimidated. She wanted to know all that he knew, and all that the old man would soon known. She wanted to skip Garrus' books and jump into greatness. She wanted it all now.

"If light reading is what you seek, you can find it at any old library. The gift I offer to you is priceless."
Jud just gave Nexus a smile. The Brute knew the sneer, it was the Old Sith's - keep it up, you're amusing me - smile.
"What you see before you is one of the most unrivaled collections of knowledge in the galaxy. For years I have roamed the abyss, seeking knowledge and power. Now, would you still prefer to read from leather and paper?"
Jud wrinkled his nose, his face souring at Nexus' tone with him. "No..." was all he had to say to the Dark Lord asking him if he'd rather have his books. Jud Looked the massive holocron over; noting it's sigils and etchings. The runes were ancient and dark indeed, and a foreboding feeling snagged at the back of Jud's mind as Nexus touched the artifact; it responding to his touch like a living thing. Jud turned towards the brooding girl, Lux. A knowing smirk on his face. She was hungry still, eager, maybe too eager... It seemed to the old Sith that she wanted both Nexus' and his hide, but that was the Sith way, no?. Without a second glance at the young girl, Jud's single eye rested on Nexus. "What Sorcerous magics have you wrought on this, this thing?" Jud said sternly to Nexus, as he paced around the base of the ebbing obelisk with a certain amount of caution. "I'm old, but not DAFT!" Jud spat at the man, waving a finger at the muscular behemoth like berating a child. "Whatever fail-safes you have on this thing. Whatever enchantments and spells you have bound to this edifice will be disarmed..." Jud ordered, ending his pace around the holocron exactly where he had started; right in front of Nexus.
"Come now, Nexus..." Jud said softly, tilting his skeletal face up to look Nexus in the eyes. "Did you really think I'd be outwitted by the likes of you?"

The memqo guarded his expressions- though had it not been there, Jud would see his mocking smile. Instead, he simply felt it. Crawling up his skin like a cold snake, born from what ever hell was held within the ice blue eyes of the dark lord.
"Jud'dayus...you wound me. I would never stoop to such a low cunning...a trap? Now now, clearly, you should know I am above such things. Though I can understand your paranoia. It comes with age."
Nexus looked up and down at the man, then at the holocron- he pressed his fingers against the obelisk, causing it to pulsate and let out a reverberating hum. The sensation made Nexus chuckle.
"It's as though you don't trust me...and rightfully so. I don't trust me. But what you see is not a trap or a security system. It is the bond. You see, what makes this Holocron so powerful, and...special, is the bond. In order to access the holocron, you must let it invade your person, and take a little bit of you into it's records. The more knowledge you wish to have, the more you must pay with your own. It is quite a remarkable artifact. The holocron knows all of me, as I know all of it, hence why our bond is so strong...as for your bond, well that depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice."
Nexus removed his hand from the device and walked back to Jud'dayus. His eyes seemed to glow for a moment before fading to their natural, unnatural pale blue. His eyes shifted to Lux, then back at Jud'dayus.
"If you are so scared, perhaps I should let my new apprentice go first. She certainly has more courage than you do."
He let out a stale, mocking laughter, and looked to Lux.
"Are you afraid of an old artifact Lux, I don't think so."

"That's all I would expect from you." Jud said evenly. "I know what your were, and what you've done and what you've become." Jud kept a watchful eye on Nexus as he neared the Holocron again. "And knowing that, I'd never turn my back to you, nor trust a single thing you say or do." Nexus touched the Holocron and it ebbed again with power. "So, pardon my paranoia... as you call it."
Jud's scow deepened at the insight Nexus had just bestowed onto him. Very clever, Jud thought as a slight hint of rage flickered into life, deep within his being. He had come all this way. He had known something was amiss, yet the promise of knowledge had made his better instincts become background naggings to his curiosity. He had played into a very well-laid trap indeed. He was in the belly of the beast, and he understood that Nexus - or rather - the Darkness that lurked in the shell of the man he once knew as Nexus had him right where he had always wanted the Venerable Sith; in the heart of HIS domain.
"Now I truly understand what you've "sacrificed"... You haven't been Nexus for a long time. Have you?" Jud said, backing up slightly, keeping his eye ever fastened to the blue orbs beneath Nexus' grotesque mask. "I knew you took the boy from me when he had visited me on Tatooine all those years ago. And then on Korriban you showed your true colors... but I had foolishly thought you banished on Contruum." Jud still slowly worked his way back, moving at such an infinitesimal pace that it looked as if he were standing still.
"Perhaps you should..." Jud said curtly with a nod, before looking to the brooding girl. "Her contribution. No, I mean her sacrifice will only add to your power, and your knowledge." Jud looked back to Nexus and wondered if Lux would understand what he was saying. "And those are two things that you'll never voluntarily have from me... Nexus."

"You know nothing, Jud'dayus..."
Nexus let out a chilling chuckle, following the calm, almost mocking tone of his statement. He looked at Lux for a moment, certain that the girl was being annoyed by the transaction- after all, who would claim to be so great, yet cower from such a vessel of unbridled power. And Nexus, who said he had something to show her, had naught but an old dusty city and words. A light smile played across his lips from behind his memqo, as his eyes returned to Jud'dayus.
"But I will humor you with a little monologue, since you caught me in a good mood, and since you will probably die at the end of it, depending on the choice you make...but you need to wait to hear the choice. First you must hear what I have to say."
He chuckled once more, this one more hearty than the last, as though he truly took pleasure finally telling this story. Or perhaps it was the position in which Nexus placed Jud'dayus. The old sith was in the heart of Nexus' sanctum. Should he manage to kill the Dark Lord he still had to make his way out of the structure, which would be no easy feat. There was a sinister happiness that sparkled behind those pale blue eyes of his.
"Well, where to start...abridged or unabridged version...so many stories to tell...but we haven't got all day so I guess I will just cut to the chase. The man you once knew as Nexus...he was not truly me. He was a vessel- forged by one of my disciples. While he bore my name, it was only in ceremony; he was not me. The boy you knew was Malakaii Concordia, bastard son of Dace Concordia and slave of the hutts, freed by my doing, not his own. He was to be my body, an empty shell so to speak. There is still a part of him in here though- and he remembers you, but mostly he remembers that girl...what was her name? Syvilis? Hah! Young boys and their eye candy, though she was eye candy...I'll give him that."
Nexus turned his back on Jud'dayus, revealing the entire blade of Reaver, topped by its ornate hilt which hung just past his shoulder. The weapon seemed alive in the force, waiting for something to tap into it. Nexus rounded the nearest corner of the obelisk, in a steady pace.
"But you see, after you humbled the boy, and took his arm, that was when he finally set out to do what he had to do. He faced the enemies which he fled and continued upon his path, until it led him to a few of my artifacts. The mask is one that you know, and the others were probably less known. My gauntlets and my sword. There are still more to be found, but these will suffice for now.
He finished rounding the obelisk, reaching where Lux and Jud initially stood. He seemed taller now, more imposing.
"And now comes the time to make that choice. Will you choose pride or survival? You can leave here, now, and warn the galaxy of my return. Not that it will help them, but I do love feeling fear. OR you can stand your ground as a stubborn old man, and have your story be added to my holocron...against your will."
Reaching up, Nexus' hand wrapped around the Rancor leather coated hilt of his blade, pulling it free from its scabbard. The blade made no sound, yet it was free of its constraints the room seemed the rumble. There was a notable spike in the force as the blade and its master were as one again. He lowered the blade to his side, not taking an attack stance, but clearly ready to do so.
"I think you and I both know which you will choose."

"You can only use her name on me so many times... Apocalypse. Before it loses all meaning, and that name lost it's ties to me years ago." Jud said with disdain to the abomination before him. "You are the thorn in my side I can't seem to get rid of, but then again, you were the best student I ever had." Jud said to the Darkness within the shell he knew as Nexus. "You did tell me decades ago, after the War of the Dune Sea, that you'd return. That you'd find a way to infiltrate this plain again. I never doubted it, and I trained for it. I trained many for your return." Jud said with a smile. "But one by one they vanished or died, and the army I rose to challenge you dwindled back down to me. Just me..." Jud's smile turned hollow. "It has always been you and me, hasn't it? There was never room for anyone else in this conflict?" The Sith asked, already knowing the answers.
Jud laughed, hearing the Darkness speak of a sliver of Nexus still within the hulk before him. "You keep him a silent witness to your atrocities? How dramatic." Jud finished, knowing now that he had someone literally on the inside. Though the true Nexus and the Old Sith had never remotely seen eye to eye, he knew that being trapped inside your own body could be more of a curse than a blessing. If Nexus was still in there, somewhere, there was a chance that he'd fight to free himself of Apocalypses' hold. That was if Nexus hadn't given himself over completely and willingly to the essence of the Old Man's most prized pupil.
"Survival is the pride in living until your worldly affairs are done. Of course that's something I would never expect you to understand." Jud said as he continued to back up from Lux and Nexus.
"Aye, I suppose you do, don't you... But what does it truly matter?" The Sith said with a slight shrug, as he continued to add space between himself and Nexus. "Once bitten, twice shy." Was all Jud said. "That was something they used to say on my homeworld, and it is a very true proverb. I have killed you twice in the past, but I never expected I'd have to do it a third time." All of Jud's back-pacing had taken him off of the central alter where the megalithic Holocron stood, and back onto the narrow pathway leading back towards the surface of the world. "But my death will be on my terms, never yours. So, I leave you to your hollow victory today." Jud bowed respectfully before looking at the child near Nexus.
"I would say leave with me child, but I know you won't. Nor will you heed my warnings now." Jud looked at Nexus then to Lux again. "He isn't what you think, he isn't who you think, and he cares nothing for anyone. He won't rest until there is nothing. No Jedi, no Sith, not a single living thing. All will become ashes under his rule. He has only ever wanted complete death for the Galaxy, and that is why I killed him the first time."
Jud bowed to Lux, and continued backwards. Never taking his gaze off of Nexus.

It felt almost like a moment of comic relief, their bantering. She couldn't make sense of it. Above darkened eye, her brows knit themselves into a perplexed scowl.
Nexus was not a person. Nexus was an entity. Nexus was strong. But if Malawhatever was the shell, and Nexus the inside...who did mom like? If you cut the man open would he look the same inside? She wouldn't be able to, but what if?
Uncertainty rushed over her and she backed away from them both. Anger and confusion coursed through her body, a heavy cloud of energy enveloping her. Garrus would cry right now. He would cry and beg for answers. She just got angry and chose to stare down the man she had once regarded as mentor. No words came from her lips. What the -fuck- are you? What the -fuck- am I to you?

"I have carried many names in my time Jud'dayus. Ensure the galaxy knows them all...not that it will save them."
He watched as Jud'dayus retreated from the encounter- the silence hung in the air, the sort that came before the storm. Then the storm came, in the form of profane confusion from the child. Nexus looked at Lux, noting the anger, confusion and annoyance in her eyes. Good. She had potential.
As Jud'dayus began his long ascent from the depths of Byss, Nexus sheathed Reaver and approached the holocron, looking at it in silence. This was the silence that came after the storm- the silence of uncertainty. Was it over? Or had it just begun. He let Lux simmer in the silence- he was not going to grant her an answer just because she demanded one. She would learn that answers were granted to those that earned them.
The Dark Lord stood before the towering holocron, basking in its eerie crimson glow, which pulsated faintly. With each glow, he seemed more and more evil, as though he were basking in the blood of the slain. His eyes gave no emotion away, nor did his stature. Still and silent, the harbinger of death and the paragon of chaos watched the obelisk.

The world of Byss was no stranger to the deathly silence of peace. Such was the irony of its nature; in war, when all surrounding planets knew fear and death, Byss knew prosperity and life, yet in times of peace, it would grow stagnant, wilting and withering, until it was nothing more than a husk of a world- a distant memory. This nature was birthed by its ruler, a man feared by his title; Nexus, the Dark Lord of Chaos who made the planet the seat of his throne, built upon the bones and carrion of those ill fated enough to stand before him on the field of war. Under the reign of this Dark Lord, Byss learned to embrace the cycle of war, peace, prosperity, and silence. Yet never before had such a lengthy time of silence occurred. Ten years had passed since Byss grew silent; ten years of peace. Yet that era was coming to a close, and Byss would soon wake from its slumber once more.
The age of silence had left its mark on the garden world. It was no longer filled with the armor clad legion of chaos, nor the neon lights and deafening sound of prosperity. Today, Byss was a husk of its former glory, and at its heart was the crumbling remnants of Black Stone Citadel. Once the seat of power, built upon the ashes of numerous predecessors, this fortress had not fallen victim to bombardment and battle scars; instead, the Black Stone Citadel was dying from a much slower parasite- inaction. With the legion disbanded, and the galaxy at peace, the Dark Lord of Chaos lost the seat of his power. In a time of war, he was a necessary force, yet in a time of peace, he was none more than a remnant of the dark history of the galaxy.
Deep beneath the bowels of the long forgotten tower, the Dark Lord sat on a throne of bones and memories. Here it was that he slumbered, awaiting the next great battle that would call towards him. Until then, the stagnant nature of peace kept him in a stasis of sorts, for he was a being of war, and a harbinger of death; one that was necessary for the galaxy.
Without order, nothing can exist; without chaos, nothing can evolve.
Upon his throne, the Dark Lord did slumber, awaiting his time to roam the galaxy, leaving behind nothing more than a path of bones and blood, riddled with myth and legend.

Despite having landed at the Citadel the nausea from the force had not left him. Nor the pins and needles that still throbbed in his right arm. His whole descent had been rough, after waiting for nearly an hour with no reply he descended. No coordinates, nothing. Well he did know where this was, after all its not like you can just up and move a building.
Standing up the Vorsnkr still had its tail between its legs as it followed Panno out the door, the armour clad imperial walked ahead of it his senses on high alert. It wasnt often that the force would give up such a strong message. Whatever he was going to find here was going to upset the galaxy big time.

Alt time line from Fael's post
The dying fortress welcomed the intruder with a hungry maw, as the main doors to the hanger had been blasted open, leaving only a mosaic of jagged metal where the door once stood. There was a cold so foreign that it could make even the reptilian Imperial Knight's skin crawl. There was a soft whisper, sounding no different than a light breeze, but if one focused enough to listen, they would hear an eerie spectral voice beckoning them forth.
The darkness that permeated on Byss' surface ebbed and pulsated, spiking occasionally as a subtle hint to Panno that he was heading in the right direction. Were it not for these spikes in the force, it would seem that the Citadel was all but abandoned. The crumbled walls, once adorned with majestic banners were now covered in tatters of faded cloth. The marble floor had several cracks and dents that ran deep, suggesting that time was not the only perpetrator for this decay. The force pulled at Panno, drawing him deeper into the fortress. So much destruction, yet there were no bodies to be seen. The once proud statues were the only remnant of the life that once filled these halls.
Deeper still, the force pulled, beckoning Panno into smaller corridors, and more obscure passages- ones that could have easily been missed by a looter. Eventually, the darkness grew in potency, as Panno found himself standing before a set of darkened doors, untouched by the time and destruction wrought on the rest of the fortress.
>>Come to me...<<
The spectral voice seemed to itch at the back of Panno's mind, urging him down a narrow set of stairs with no end in sight. If he made it to the bottom, the stairs would eventually widen, becoming less constricting. The stairs led to a massive subterranean chamber, with a high vaulted ceiling. The room's walls and floors were made of black obsidian, which was oddly warm to the touch. It bore none of the regal decor of the fortress, but instead held only a large jagged throne. In the dim light of this chamber, Panno could see little as far as detail to the throne, though there was something on it. A person, large in stature.
Then the cold came, as the figure on the chair stirred, lifting its hooded head. Even in the darkness, his ice blue eyes seemed to shine with a malicious gleam. A voice called out, deep and filled with power. As he spoke, the room seemed to reverberate in awe. A light crackle of energy could be heard as though there was an exposed wire somewhere.
"Who is it that breaks my slumber?"
