Is there a difference between dual blade and staff?
... And staff?

As staff is a staff and a staff is a staff! Idiot... Shoto. Shorter blade is easier to maneuver and its always fun to get in your opponents face and say mean things

For real though. A dual bladed saber would be what Maul uses and a staff is what Kazdan Paratus uses.
I put staff twice by accident.

^ As stated above... Nothing better than a trusty Dual-Phase.

I recently switched to a club, since I wanted the two meter reach, but up until that point I've mostly used standard. All the movie fights were done with standard, except in TPM. Even then, the double blade didn't pay off.
As Bane was taught, double bladed lightsabers are all flash. If you know where one blade is, you automatically know where the other is.

Dual Phase is, after all, a standard Lightsaber with a little extra spring in it's step, so that's my favourite.

I usually use the standard. Though I've got two guard tonfas as back-ups...if needed (usually not). And those things are pretty deadly if used correctly. Nothing like close quarters killing...er...I mean, the Jedi version of killing...so, um, shiims, yeah, shiims.

Standard. You can't mess with the classics.

I used to be a huge fan of the dual-phased blade, but then it hit me: there are exactly zero practical uses for a dual-phased lightsaber, at least as far as JvS is concerned. The instant you flip the switch, a good duelist is going to recognize what's going on and a shitty duelist is going to read your post and for them that's the same thing. Either way, they'll be inside your guard with a quickness.
I've got to go with the regular.

Way I see it, a Dual Phase is just a regular lightsaber with one extra feature that, potentially, could have a use here and there. I don't think I've ever extended the blade in direct combat, but then again, that's not the only use for a Lightsaber.

I like a saberstaff, used one for Sorak though that was essentially a regular sabre with a three foot handle, not quite a full staff.

Muskets or single shot rifles are better.

Exactly. Shoot you with a not so blockable heavy ass sniper shot from afar, or stab you or parry with a lightsaber up close, then reload, and use the longer reach to quickly aim and shoot your ass up close with a heavy ass shot.
Ass.
