The old Jedi watched as the child moved. Instinctively her right hand fell to her saber but she did not draw the weapon; she didn't have time before what happened next

Eyes fixed on the area around his people Laoch grabbed his pistol and was on his feet the instant the girl moved. He cut the distance between them with an eerie speed. As he was halfway between where he had been sitting and where the girl now sat the first recoil rang out. Then another Kieran’s brows dropped and his right fell to the table snatching up his gun. Kieran fired once then twice. Legend would be born of the tale would be told again and again for years in The Red Shift and it would be broadcast out from there far and wide. Kieran calmly set his gun down bellowing -Kieran- “Anybody looking at that kid and seeing an easy target gonna wind up dead as that fool!” Kieran’s fierce glare canvassed the room begging any to challenge him but none were takers. Shrugging it all off the big mancasually set the gun down Laoch smiled at Maureen asking gaily -Laoch- “Sweetie…. Could you come with me before somebody else gets greased?” Not awaiting an answer Laoch scooped the child the child under his leftarm and walked over to where Grace and Boland were seated and placed the girl in her seat -Laoch- “Do you think you two could keep a closer eye on her?” Looking down he yelled -Laoch- “Some guard dog you are!” Not awaiting a response Laoch walked back to his table and took up his seat beside Kieran

Wide eyed Grace could marshal no words and simply nodded in response to Laoch’s pointed question. Boland muttered -Boland- “Thanks… and sorry….” Then looking at Maureen he asked -Boland- “Well what did we learn today???” The child answered meekly -Maureen- "Don't talk to strangers?" At the words Grace giggled but slight as Boland nodded and answered through clenched teeth -Boland- "Yes dear.... Or yet another useless tool will buy it." The pub, having come to a deathly quiet freeze sprung back to life. The body was cleaned up, along with any material residue of the incident and all swung back to the norm. The Raven said nothing. He was acquiring a begrudging fondness for Kieran. Tail wagging The Hound sat at Maureen's side

Eyes widening as the scene played out Rhiannon's hand relaxed on the sabre handle softly landing on the table where it had been moments before. The woman smiled in spite of herself; all in the time and moment had been dealt with quite handily. A sharp sting of malice passed over her and she muttered mournfully -Rhiannon- "I'm becoming one of them...." Snatching up then emptying the wine glass in front of her, as if to wash the words course down, Rhiannon returned to sitting majestically. Beneath stately countenance however, her heart and mind alike raced

As Grace and Boland became locked in drab adult rattling on about what Maureen had no clue and for that matter little care the child slipped from her seat and moved over to the table now occupied by Rhiannon. Wordlessly the girl slipped into a chair across from the ancient sage and sat comfortably

From the back of the cantina Kieran and Laoch kept watch on all. As Maureen moved Kieran nudged Laoch -Kieran- "See how that kid was able to slip those two and sit down with that old witch?" Head shaking -Kieran- "I am at a loss as to which one the Old man would grease first." Nodding in agreement Laoch added -Laoch- "Pretty sure that the grease monkey would have bought it already." Right hand gesturing out -Laoch- "The old bag too...." A sharp laugh fell from Kieran -Kieran- "Watch close." The pair sat on guard

Two vagabonds stopped by the table looking down on Grace and Boland. The Raven was set to render them into piles of synthetic ash but Boland's amicable attitude stopped the birds intended response. Words were past and drinks were had between the four at the table. When the two strangers left Boland stood abruptly -Boland- "Time to see what's out there...." Grace silently rose snatched Maureen by the hand dragging her from the seat beside Rhiannon and out the door they went. A stack of coinage left on the table was quickly gathered by attendants

The aged Jedi sage said nothing as the couple left dragging the child with them. Flipping several coins on the table she too rose from her seat and followed the group

Kieran sat and watched close. The instant Boland stood so too did Kieran, followed by Laoch. Both holstered weapons and Laoch tossed a coin several coins on the table. They silently followed the group

Morrigan walked confidently into the joint. She knew where she was going. Once in the rest room, as she called it, dropped clothes to the floor. The Old man had always said to keep things simple. Washing face first, then dunking head of hair right into the flow, shaking off, then towel wrapped round. Hands over chest up under arms and down again. Leg and all that between here and there. She dried off, dressed, armed herself and doning gear* -Morrigan- "Ceart!!!! Now I split this popsicle stand." *And at that she was gone. And where exactly was she gone going? In this wretched hive of human filth skipping seemed to be the flavor of the day. And where better to skip but Skip one. Then make like the birds and flock off*

*And do they sat. Maureen looked around wide eyed. She had little fear; somebody fool enough to try to lay a hand on her would be dealt with - decisively. She could not put thoughts together n such big words but safe she did feel. Grace say quietly sipping a tea. The Raven sat majestically on her left shoulder begging for the slightest excuse to incinerate somebody. Boland ducked in the door and The Raven momentarily considered trying him but resisted. Boland took a seat facing the little girl and got a coffee*

*Morrigan sauntered in and walked over to the table, taking a seat at the back right of The table, back against the wall. A waiter drooled taking her order and looking down her shirt. The man left. The ruckus in the kitchen was partially discernable. Two men delivered her order. Yes and toast. As they walked away she sighed deep*

*Kieran and Laoch entered quietly, taking a seat at the table to back of the ggroup, just adjacent to that of Morrigan, one to the right; the other the left. Both sat at an angle attempting to keep their backs to the wall. Both men wanted to talk with Morrigan - desperately. But they held their impatience in check. Kieran's eyes widened* -Kieran - "Please tell me we forgot the dog on the ship not Bespin." Laoch looked at him with blank eyes for several long seconds* -Laoch- "That would suck like nothing has sucked before..." *Kieran used every drop of energy he possessed not to put a cap on the man*

*Morrigan's eyes swept over the gathering and said simply* -Morrigan- "I will speak." She took a second sweep of the lot. The newcomers. The family..... There she would begin. Gaze falling and catching the table her mouth moved slow allowing the words to fall from her lips* -Morrigan - "We have been rocked by the icy hand of death." * Head riding momentarily caught ever set of eyes present* -Morrigan- "But a few of us are left...." *Nose up defiantly* -Morrigan - "But we what we cannot cure we will endure...."

*Boland listened quietly. His people were being included in this plan. The Dubh were well known indeed. His mind wandered to the gangster movies he loved so much in his youth. Already had broke knuckles for a living..... Grace too took in the words, her heart beating a touch faster than regular. Looking from Boland to Grace; Grace to Boland, Maureen hadn't a clue what this woman was on about. The Raven was actually beginning to like this human! The very though was so revolting he threw a ball of Force a Boland, who's head rocked to the left but otherwise the man took it like a boss*

*The blizzard peeling the husky fella was rather funny and she laughed in spite of herself. Nobody was asking anything. Her people were mute. So the woman continued* -Morrigan- "Now survival...." *The word itself awakened a familiar beast inside* -Morrigan- "Only an idiot would leave what we left behind; I have no doubt that it is being split up and distributed as I speak. *A devilish smile crossed her face* "Let them enjoy it...." * Morrigan now laid it all abear* -Morrigan- "You see An Tiarna began training me as his successor from the cradle. Immersed in family business. On a first name basis with the most confidential of his contacts, which were legion. Open business were not really what the Dubh were made of - ever. Don't get me wrong; we reaped the benifts of such. What lie under the surface. Silent. That mattered" *Allowing the words to sink in she continued looking into eyes. Boland was it? No problem. Eyes narrowed. The woman she would work on. Eyes lifting locked with... The Raven? Giving her head a shake she surmised no matter what they called the freakish buzzard it was in too. Morrigan then set her stare on the child. Her Grandfather rose up formidable; one rule the Old man stood by was 'never children.' But that was only in terms of not killing. After all, she had been raised among a gaggle of lunatics and murder was no different than feeding the cat. With a nod the woman cast all that to the siide. This little girl was not normal. The word normal transforming in her mind to abnormal and Morrigan's head swung to her cousins. Brows raising she spoke* -Morrigan- "We are familia." *Cold silence met her words and in this time and place that is exactly what she wanted to hear. It was done but she offered more* -Morrigan- "I thought of speaking to each and every associate individually but himself would consider that stupid...." Clearing her throat Morrigan handed a paper to Kieran and copy to Laoch* -Morrigan- "Those are the names of people who gravely insulted the Old man....." * Eyes narrowing she handed a copy to Boland too*

*Loach, eyes wide open listened. Barely; he near passed into unconsciousness several times during this painfullreminderthatTheOld manwouldneverreallydie ramble. Was family. Kieran have a much finer ear to Morrigan's words and it all made sense to him. Kieran took the paper looking over carefully. Laoch snapped awake, investigating the 'shopping list. Busines as usual He thought. Kieran muttered* -Kieran- "What next?"

**Sitting with left hand on her chin Grace soaked up every word. Boland stoically doing the same. Accepting the papers they both examined the page. Grace was a bit overwhelmed by it all but remained as calm as possible. Boland to listened, face remaining wooden. Taking the brief document he examined it closely. Brows twisting the man said under his breath* "Anybody messing with these people in a dream best wake and immediately apologize...." Looking up he spoke for his people flatly* -Boland- "We're in...." * Maureen was gone*
