The Vanishing Place:

*The Vanishing Place was a prison established by the Galactic Empire on Felucia shortly after the end of the Clone Wars.*

Niango:

*Niango was a city situated on the planet Felucia.*

Kway Teow:

*Kway Teow was the capital city on the tropical world of Felucia.*

Open Terrain:

*Felucia's terrain consisted mostly of a diversity of bizarre plants, fungi, and animals which were almost rubber-like and translucent, as well as enormous Pitchers. When the sun shone, the environment glittered like multicolored glass. Most of Felucia was entirely covered by a humid, fetid landscape of huge fungal forests, inhabited by Acklays and other strange beasts.*

Ancient Abyss:

*The Ancient Abyss was a sacred sarlacc pit located on the planet Felucia, the largest known sarlacc specimen in the galaxy. At the time of the Galactic Civil War, a Felucian city existed between the teeth and gums that stretched for kilometres around its maw. The tendrils of the sarlacc were so large that they were capable of dragging large beasts such as rancors into the creature's mouth.*

Rancor Graveyard:

*The Rancor Graveyard was an ancient site on Felucia filled with the bones of dead Rancor creatures. Bail Organa was held here during the Felucian genocide by Maris Brood, who had taken control of the Felucian tribes.

The ground around the area was seemingly unstable; when Galen Marek fought a Bull Rancor at the graveyard, he used the force to pick up and drop the rancor, causing the earth to collapse and opening up a large chamber.*

Descriptions for Yavin IV

Open Orbit

"Yavin is one of those gas giants that looks like it missed out on starhood by a very slim margin." - Suz Tanwa

The gas giant Yavin Prime, one of the most well known planets of its type in the Galaxy, holds prominence as the third orbital body in the Yavin System, of the Gordian Reach sector in the Outer Rim. Within its orbit is the historically significant Yavin IV, home to, at varying points throughout the millennia, prominent Sith Lords Naga Sadow, Freedon Nadd, and Exar Kun, the high command of the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Yavin, and later, the Luke Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum. Yavin Prime also has twenty five other moons, including the habitable Yavin Eight and Thirteen.

Open Terrain

The natural terrain of Yavin IV is predominantly covered in thick tropical rainforest, full of dangerous and vicious wildlife and extremely hazardous natural obstacles. Throughout one region on the moon are scattered the remains of the extinct Massassi culture, in the form of millennia old stone temples, walled gardens, and arenas. Some distance north of this Temple region is a volcanic mountain range, and tectonic activity is common, as are violent thunderstorms during the wet season.

Great Temple

The Great Temple of Yavin IV, home of the Jedi Praxeum, is a vast, ancient Massassi temple. Damaged several times throughout its history, the Temple's most severe destruction came during the Yuuzhan Vong war, where much of the temple was demolished by the alien invaders. Eventually rebuilt, the Temple once again played home to a Jedi educational establishment.

The Great Temple is set in a clearing within the heart of one of the thickest regions of the rainforest, with a river running near by on one side. The outside of the Temple is made of weathered stone, with moss-like plant life mottling the surface. The tree line is eighty meters clear of the Temple in front of the Hangar, but passes much closer around the sides, coming considerably closer around the back where the Temple opens out into the Gardens of the Awakened Being.

Massassi Arena

The Massassi Arena, located on Yavin 4, was once a great fighting arena created by the Massassi people. The Arena was multi-leveled stone structure, with boxes on the top level at its east and west. A pyramidal altar was to its north, and a gate to its south.

Temple of Exar Kun

"This temple might be an archaeological find of great value, a monument of untold wonder, but it's also a monument to evil." - Corran Horn

The Temple of Exar Kun was a Sith temple on Yavin 4. The Temple was situated on a volcanic island called the Isle of Kun in the middle of a deep lake and it could only be reached on foot by stepping stones. These were set a few centimeters beneath the surface of the water, which forced all who crossed them to approach the temple with their heads bowed, so they could watch their feet.

The temple itself was made from polished black-colored obsidian that was studded with corusca gems. It was etched with Sith hieroglyphics and pictographs, that translated as magic incantations to protect the temple and call doom to its defilers. At its apex was a large statue of the Sith Lord Exar Kun and outside, there was a small courtyard.

Inside, the temple had just one chamber and catacombs beneath it. These consisted of a number of chambers, interlinked by tunnels. The last chamber contained the sarcophagus of Exar Kun, where presumably his body was intended to be placed after his death, although it is unknown if this actually happened, as he fused his spirit into the very walls of the Yavin 4 temples—possibly taking his body too. The Temple was heavily damaged by Corran Horn in 11 ABY, shortly after the founding of the Jedi Praxeum and the final destruction of Kun's spirit.

Descriptions for Osarian

Open Terrain

Osarian is a planet of grassy planes, lakes, and white sand beaches. The terrain is dominated by peaceful and pleasant landscapes, a calming environment that encourages a sense of serenity in those that visit.

Open Orbit

Osarian was a planet in the Expansion Region, near the Corellian Run. It was in the same system as Rhommamool, an inhospitable desert world. The two planets orbited each other that brought them within a million kilometers of each other every ten years, usually resulting in a flare-up of hostilities between the two. The worlds would remain in missile-strike range for months.

Osa-Prime

Osa Prime is the Capital of Osarian, a moderately large city with all the usual amenities you would expect in your everyday city.

Also, Osa-Prime has been misspelt on the boards here as Ossa-Prime - IIRC, it was also mispelt on the old JvS. Canon spelling is, as I say, Osa-Prime, verifiable here on Wookieepedia

Additionally, I don't know what's being planned with regards to recreating locations from old JvS, but I'd like to request a paired down version of Overlook Base, a non-canon base that has been part of Osarian's JvS history since 1.0. Where would you like me to put the details of it? I was thinking of posting on Governmental Buildings, but it's not really suitable for that. On the last rendition of JvS, it was a second HQ location for the Yavin Praxeum after we merged the old Osarian Jedi group into our own.

Wasn't it situated next to Lake Connor? Or at least very near that location? I can't recall if Lake Connor was a canon location though, or something we added over the years, but I seem to remember that being a location I often wrote at in relation to overlook base. That and Kakick, Karrick, Kalick (SP?) Fields. The landing area.

Descriptions for Iridonia

Iridonia's Open Orbit

As a Mid Rim world situated near important hyperspace lanes, Iridonia was one of the key worlds that connected the Outer Rim to the Inner Rim. As such, it was often one of the first planets to be pulled into a war. - sourced by Wookieepedia

The surface is largely made up of desert sands with a scattering of acidic pools, and a near constant state of destructive wind storms. The slow, planetary rotation is exactly matched by its orbital path around the solitary sun, so that one hemisphere is always in the burning solar light, and the other side is cast in frozen darkness. Due to the harsh living conditions, the only permanent settlements, including the capital city Malidris, are located along the twilight meridian where the climate is more temperate. Because of this unique rotation, Iridonians do not experience night and day, except by traversing to other parts of the planet.

Iridonia's Open Terrain

Although there is some plant life here, largely consisting of tall, sparse trees and spiny ground cover along the twilight meridian, in addition to some small patches of rainforest, the majority of the open terrain is made up of either harsh windy deserts with a scattering of acidic pools (located on the light side), or frozen mountain tundras (located on the dark side.) Malidris

The capital city of Iridonia, Malidris is located on the twilight meridian and made up of tall, narrow skyscrapers, all connected through a network of sky bridges and turbolifts. The entirety of the city is surrounded by a massive industrial wall, designed to protect the inhabitants from the worst of the climate winds and conditions of the harsh planet. At the center of the city is the capital square, where the residences of political figures, ambassadors, and the towering black pyramid of the Dark Diamond Palace can be found.

Wortan

Though much of the city of Wortan was destroyed in the Mandalorian Wars, there still exists a populous in outlying borders and labyrinth-like underground passages. Mostly, these are inhabited by criminals, swoop gangs, and former veterans and mercenaries of the many wars that have ravaged Iridonia.

Dark Diamond Palace

The Dark Diamond Palace is the central location for Iridonia's government, and is the primary residence of the Iridonian Emperor, his hands, and the elected council body which is largely made up of prominent clan members of strong houses.

The palace was designed as a pyramidal structure, with a primary central turbolift in the center, hangar, security and medical bays at the base, the throne room at the peak, and conference and residences on various levels in between. Below ground is an interrogation room leading to prison cells specifically designed for force users, due to the abnormally high population of force-sensitives among the Zabraks.

Grand Halls
(To be placed within Dark Diamond Palace)

The Grand Halls are actually a series of wide bridges supported by massive talon-like columns, and lit intermittenently by dim orange lampposts, that connect to the various sections and rooms of the palace. As you reach the higher levels of the palace, the bridges begin to narrow. As there are no fence guards, one can peer over the edge of a bridge to see the pathways criss-crossing below them.

Hangar Bay
(To be placed within Dark Diamond Palace)

The Hangar Bay of the Dark Diamond Palace is often used for visiting ambassadors to the city of Malidris in addition to personal and commercial use of palace residents. Security is very high, here, and clearance is required before landing.

Golden Room
(To be placed within Dark Diamond Palace)

The Golden Room is the throne room of the palace. It is circular in shape, framed by massive pillars and surrounded above by a catwalk platform that can be accessed by security and those with high clearance to view the proceedings within. Upon entering the large double doors at the peak of the palace, one will be facing the throne on the far end of the room and there is an archway passage to the left that leads to the treasury vault.

Sith Academy

The Sith academy of Iridonia was established by the Brotherhood of Darkness near the end of the New Sith Wars. They used it to train Sith adepts and acolytes. Trainees here were apprenticed to Sith Masters. The skills learned here equipped adepts with abilities on par with Jedi Knights. These warriors made up the bulk of the Brotherhood's armies. - sourced by Wookieepedia

Mos Entha

Dominating the skyline were four massive 500 meter tall domed
spaceport hubs. Sixty ultra-modern docking facilities were grouped radially around the four
domed hubs. Nearly another dozen docking bays were scattered around the edges of the city
resulting in nearly 75 docking bays being available for visiting starships.
The majority of the cultural, entertainment and government establishments were contained
within the spaceport domes. Each dome contained large multi-level, controlled environment
hotels that catered to the tourist trade. Also contained within the domes were many government
offices, shopping centers, restaurants, museums and theaters.

Outside the general area of the spaceport domes the streets of Mos Entha were much like those
of other Tatooine cities. Swoops and speeders could be found darting around slower moving
traffic like dewbacks and rontos. Jawas and traders from hundreds of worlds clogged the

Is there a complication with my request by chance that I might be able to help with? I am still waiting on the Iridonia threads and descriptions to be added and completed.

Perhaps I formatted and submitted this request incorrectly? Please let me know if there is anything I can or should be doing to make this process easier.

Lita, this request thread is for people to request detailed planetary descriptions for already existing threads that weren't adequately populated at the time of their creation. It is not for people to simply request a whole set of entirely new threads. Hence priority will be given to existing threads.

However, I do recognise that we are still in a process of establishment and things are a bit confusing, so I won't ask that you repost in the correct area... but please be patient while we go about making this happen.

For my future reference, is there a place in which this protocol for submitting requests has been outlined so that I can avoid burdening admins? I'm afraid I couldn't find any how-to, and was only following Dav's request as an outline since his was the only request submitted at the time that I put in my inquiry.
