I've always been curious about this, and some things said here inspired this poll.

It really honestly depends. I'll read what affects my characters, but on rare occasion i'll read a little bit of what others write

There are some writers whose writing I follow almost religiously, some of whom are regular writing partners of mine (and I tend to read the stuff they do that doesn't include me.), some of whom are just friends who's writing I love. I don't have time to read everything, after all, but I read what I can when I can. If I stumble over an RP that I find interesting, I will usually pop back and read up on it.
And if it happens on Yavin IV or Osarian, there's a pretty good chance I've definitely read it.

I follow just about anyone who makes a big enough splash to be noticed, even some who don't. The smuggler crews around here are almost always a very good read.

I read a few people's posts. Not very many if I dueled them and I enjoyed it, I generally watch them. Beyond that not really.

I won't lie, I read mainly posts that involve my character, in fact I search the page for words that may be in reference to my character. Unless I am writing with a group of course, then I read as much as possible. There are a few select writers that I read when I see they've posted but it's usually only people I've written with in the past or have otherwise spoken to on a regular basis like Jace Stealer or Raan Jade. So I could technically say three of those answers are true, but my default setting is the fifth option.

I read a good portion of posts. A lot of people interest me, others ask me to read theirs so I do and usually it catches my interests, though lately I haven't had much time to read any posts...even mine!

Honestly with this, I'm just going off what I've done in the past with 1.5 and all since i only just recently switched over this new site. Sorry been away for RL reasons. Anyways......Basically what I've always done is just read whatever interests me even if it would never effect my character. I simply like a good read and there are some writers I got to know through JvS or other RP sites that are really great about making their work excellent reading

I used to read a fair bit of everything going on. Not absolutely everything, but everything that captivated my attention or the stuff from the people I met in the chat room. But that was a long time ago when I had over 20 hours of free time a week, posts were captivating and short in mass, I did not require sleep to function, I was not an absolute curmudgeon, and there did not seem to be week or more long lapses in RP. Currently I barely read the posts in response to my posts, as they are few and far between, plus I have an uber short attention span.

I purposely try to read as little as possible that directly affects my PC's. That way, my reactions and IC dealings with other players is unfettered by OOC knowledge. Otherwise, I'd read it all.
