Running deep beneath the ground of Aargau the mines upper levels are well lit and designed for humans to get the large veins of metal. If one was to take the elevators to the lower levels however they will find that life down there would be hard pressed to survive for an extended period of time. Due to this machines are sent down to dig up the minerals present down in the dark.

Deep beneath the ground the clank of power hammers could be heard smashing through the hard rock all through the upper levels. When the mines had first been made the founders had stumbled upon a huge intertwining set of veins for different metals. It was still hard to differentiate and as such they were often what formed the different alloys the company created.
Smashing through rock and stone the men and women who mined looked at everything grim faced, covered in grime as they powered through the day. They could not afford to complain or less they loose their jobs. The Empire had been good to its people and had for the most part been able to fend off the set backs the rest of the galaxy was suffering. As I am tired and babbling I shall stop posting here for meow.

In the lower mines every single droid stopped. It was silent for the first time in weeks. None of them moved, they were being controlled by Xeonon who for the first time understood what it was like to have 100 different thoughts go through his head at once. Then as sudden as it happened things went back to normal. Or did they? Now it was crazy, before droids would do things on their own a single process per droid. Of course with Xeonon in charge things became more stream lined, the droids moving in unison. Those with picks would smash at the same moment. Their blows all the same strength. Those with cutting lasers all cut in the same fashion and stopped at the same time. Their pieces of rock and ore the exact same.
It was amazingto behold if one was to see it in person. However none were down there. Only Xeonon could see that and he wasnt talking any more.

The men and women who worked the upper part of the mines still fought through the veins of metal which were few and far between. They were working on something else entirely something they did not even know about. Xeonon had diverted them from the mining to the hollowing out of the rock into rooms. Big rooms, large enough to house hundreds of people they excavated large amounts of rock. Their faces glistened with sweat despite the dust and grime that covered them. They had been going at it hard now for several hours and they were thankful that the day was almost out so they could relax in the air. Only an hour left. An hour spent slowly dying inside as they mined.

4 Hours and 40 Minutes after Solomon Mines incident
It had been 20 minutes since the soliders had regrouped, 35 of them still stood fighting to take back the mines. Erebus led the way down a 20 foot long shaft. His main weapon ready, finger already squeezing the trigger he just needed to see a target before depressing his finger. Turning the corner he saw movement and shot three times before holding up his hand. It seems the Antarian Rangers had led them into a part of the mine that was still active, droids going through the motions as they cut through the rock.
They keep bringing us deeper and deeper into the mines, something isnt right. Everyone keep on your toes.
Even though one Lieutenant listened to him, and although he was technically in charge of the remaining men something inside him was shaken. It was obvious to Erebus and the others that this man, fresh out of training school wasnt meant for war. He wasnt born and bred like the others here. He was just a guy who joined to provide for a family. Something inside him was broken, and Erebus having had the most experience of all of them was just the natural choice.
Taking two more steps forward the trap was sprung, three of the droids behind them fell backwards as micro explosions ruined their legs, their massive hulks blocking a retreat and coming from two sides the fire tore through the men to either side of Erebus, the only thing that kept him alive was his shield but only just. One of the bolts struck him square in the chest and the white armour blackened and cracked. Had this not been the updated armour designed under Sinistras reign he would have been dead. As it was two of his ribs broke for sure and breathing became arduous. It took much of his strength to keep from colapsing to the ground. Firing as he crouched and moved forward he paused for only a few moments to replace the power cells to his suit. Instantly his hood showed the number 8% soar to 76%. It seemed his comrade wasnt using his as effectively as he did.
They had been ordered to save the mines, nothing was said about its condition upon completion. Still they tried to save the equipment. Walking over to one of the Rangers still breathing Erebus removed his mask revealing his shaved head, his piercing blue eyes staring intently at the man. Trying hard not to cough he spoke to the man.
Why are you here? Why do you keep falling down further into the mines, there is no way out!
He didn't need an answer,it came to him in a flash of understanding. They were just following orders, keeping them distracted from the real threat. Turning around quickly they ran back towards the surface keeping two behind as a rear guard who did a covered retreat.
