Just finished 'Hater' by David Moody (can't wait to grab the sequel...) and I'm currently re-reading 'Y-The last man' and am about half-way through 'Leanings' by Peter Egan.
No idea for you Xeo. Sorry man.

Y The Last Man is fantastic. I'd recommend that to you, Xeonon, that is, if you like graphic novels. Blacksad is another fantastic graphic novel.

The original run of 'The Ultimates,' collected as a graphic novel, is pretty bitchin' too.

I'll doubly vouch for Blacksad if you like a noir type thing.
Tess got me to try God of Small Things. Pretty compelling, but it's not more nerd crap so consider that.
East of West is good enough for the Firefly type crowd.

Nothing wrong with the graphic novels. Haven't read many but if I see it I will give it a shot.
About 50 pages into Halo: Grasslands. A different take on the Halo universe then I am used to. Following the events of Installation 00 (The Ark) and Halo 4 it seems like it's setting up a great story for the human/Shangelli relations. I'd recommend it to halo geeks but that's about it.

The Strain Trilogy was a nice take on Vampires in this time of Twilight and friendly vamps these blood thirsty bastards really shook their world. I highly suggest it to you guys if you have yet to read it.

The subsequent novels in the Dark Tower series are all pretty good reads. I have to admit I am slowing down on Book 5 but that has to do with work and the fact that at times it's not the most exciting read.

So I was givin a book called Beyonders for christmas. Never heard of it or the authour (Brandon Mull). It seems to take a heavy influemce from C.S. Lewis. Ive only got the third book but the series ends well. Lots of cool magical shit, zombies, alternate worlds, terrible sword fights.

I have been getting my hands on various books as of recently.
I have gotten into the Time of Legends series for Warhammer Fantasy Battle. Pretty good stuff, just finished the first book of the Blood of Nagash series, Neferata. Now I am reading about the War of the Beard, a huge war between Elves and Dwarves before the rise of the Empire, in the book, the Great Betrayal.

Just finished the rest of the Kilo-Five trilogy in Halo
Mortal Dictata was a really good book. It gave some real insight into the mind of a terrorist. Hell I think the first chapter is about why a guy decided he did not like Earth and would do anything to defame them or destroy them.
