Hoth: Rebel Bunker
The combatants find themselves in a bunker on Hoth during the Imperial invasion, secluded from the main invading force. Spartan decorations make it a straightforward duel...until the Imperials destroy the power generators as a part of the invasion (30 posts) and all of a sudden the bunker comes out of lockdown, exposing the duelists to the freezing cold of the planet's surface.

As the imperials continue their assault upon Echo Base, a lone Mandalorian merc/bounty hunter by the name of Kraval Ordo found himself in one of the secure bunkers within the icy base. It was a very secure bunker minus the falling ice shards from the ceiling due the rumbling going on outside either caused by explosions or the footsteps of an AT-AT. What brought Kraval here was the rumor of that one of the followers of the Kad Ha'rangir had hidden himself on Hoth and that his employer wants him taken out. Kraval knew that those that follow the way of Kad Ha'rangir enjoyed the conflict that war begins and this fight would be a bloody one. Kraval pulled out both of his 2 Zabrak Tystel Mark III heavy blaster pistols and engaged the thermal vision within his buy'ce. He slowly began to move around the bunker...searching for his intended target.

The overhead lights flickered briefly as the sounds of war- dim in this secure bunker but fast approaching- gave way to a concussive explosion before resuming. Though the Imperial forces had not yet reached this section of the base, it had not been spared. Corpses littered the area, most wearing the fatigues of Rebel soldiers. Spatters of blood streaked the walls and pooled on the floor, congealing puddles of black and red.
Faust dropped into a sitting position atop the sternum of a fallen Wookiee soldier. The massive corpse shuddered with the impact, the beast's head lolling to the side. Its dead eyes stared accusingly at the entrance to the bunker as the priest inverted the blade he held, setting the tip firmly against the blood-soaked tile, and began running a whet stone along the length of its already razor-sharp edge. For a long moment there was only the distant sound of battle punctuated by the rhythmic metallic scraping of metal on stone. Faust murmured a battle hymn he'd learned in his youth as he passed the time until the Imperials arrived. Much blood had already been shed by his hand, but it was not enough. Kad demanded more, and Faust, who had always felt clearly the hand of his God guiding him, was eager to resume his worship.
He froze for a moment at the approach of booted footsteps.
"Mar'e..." Faust smiled in anticipation, whet stone slipping from his fingers as he stood, the beskad in his left hand lingering at his side. A look of surprise crossed the warrior's ruined face as a lone figure approached, in what appeared to be genuine beskar'gam. Faust was markedly less...encased in his armor- a cuirass of Mandalorian iron covered his torso but left his arms and shoulders free. Bracers of the same material extended from his wrist to his elbow on either arm, the right sporting a Dur-24 wrist laser. A Mandalorian Ripper was holstered on his left thigh, in place of the blaster he usually wore, and on his left hip was the twin of the beskad he held.
A Vod, on Hoth here and now? Too much of a coincidence for it to be likely. Annoyed at having his rites of worship interrupted and suspicious of the man before him, Faust tightened his grip on the hilt of his beskad.
He eyed the newcomer warily. "Tion'jor ganar gar olaror?"

Kraval's search for the follower of Kad came to an end he noticed his target near the lifeless corpse of a wookiee. Kraval's advanced HUD in his buy'ce quickly scanned the Kad follower and noticed he wore more of a gladiator style of beskar'gram which left him more vulnerable in other areas but means he will probably force a more close-combat style of fighting. Nonetheless Kraval kept his guard up and both Zabrak Tystel Mark III pistols aimed at his target encase the Kad had sum tricks in store for Kraval. When the Kad purpose a question to the Mandalorian merc......he answered the only way he ever answers his targets.
Gar serim ta'raysh kyr'bes.
Kraval quickly ran towards and fired 5 shots(10 total) from both of his heavy blaster pistols at the Kad follower aiming for the expose areas of his body not covered by beskar.

Kad guide me.
Faust narrowed his bloodshot amber eyes at the man before him, scarred features twisting into a feral snarl as he flipped his beskad into his right hand and started forward.
"Dar'manda," He spat the word like the cursed blasphemy that it was.
In the still heartbeat that followed the assassin's proclamation, the priest suddenly threw himself to the right. He lead with his shoulder and rolled, coming to his feet with his Ripper in his left hand and an expression of murderous hatred on his face. Silently beseeching Kad for the speed to end the object of his ire before he could adjust his aim, Faust leveled the Ripper and fired. His target was one of the number of thermal detonators that Kraval carried on his person (I'm assuming either belt or bandoleer). The recoil jerked his weapon higher and he squeezed the trigger again, sending a slug streaking toward the visor of the man's buy'ce.
Immediately he began moving forward, meeting this assassin's charge with one of his own.

Kraval rolled to his right into the snow cover metal flooring of the bunker as the Kad follower fired off his two shots at him thus bringing. Kraval to a one knee position. The Kad target was one of two thermal detonators on Kraval's belt except the actual location was next to the 2 sonic detonators on the back side of his belt. Kraval noticed the Kad charging at him and decided to return the favor. He quickly placed his pistols back into their holster and reached behind his right boot for his trusted beskar survival knife with his right hand while holding said knife in a reverse grip style. He quickly closed the gap between himself and the Kad follower and proceed to lash out with his 9" blade knife along the exposed legs of the Kad follower.

The distance between the two dwindled rapidly. Through gritted teeth Faust praised Kad, a fury descending upon him.
"You are an unworthy sacrifice, aruettii." The priest growled in Basic. Speaking to this traitor in the tongue of his people put a bad taste in his mouth.
Faust planted his right foot as the two came together, beskad sweeping in a low arc from right to left, blade bypassing the knife his foe wielded and smashing into his armored wrist instead. Without hesitation he reversed the swing, a vicious backhanded strike looking to land on the outside of his foe's right knee, and hopefully cause it to buckle. Fire burned in the priest's eyes. There is no mercy to be found in Kad, no reprieve from the bloodletting. But for a traitor? There is suffering and torment beyond measure. A feast of pain and blood and death.
In the wake of the blow to the knee Faust's left hand swung up, still gripping the Ripper, and he squeezed the trigger just once in an effort to pump a round into the visor of his foe's buy'ce.

As the Kad's beskad collided with Kraval's right wrist, he kept his tight grip upon his trusted knife just his right knee was bang upon by the same beskad. Kraval felt a slight sensation when his knee was stuck but it didn't buckle due to the impact. Kraval heard the words of the Kad and paided them no mind. To him, he will always be a Mandalorian warrior who follows his own code and beliefs of what a True Mandalorian should be and not sum derange hermit who prays to his gods for relief, gratitude, and/or guidance nor be like the plague of true dar'manda of the Empire that rely on the abilities of a jetii and/or siit to win their battles. Kraval used his advanced HUD in his buy'ce to activated his Vac Attack Mk-127 on his right gauntlet.
As quickly as the blow to Kraval's knee happen, Kraval took his free left hand and grab the Kad by his left wrist before the he had his perfect shot. The sudden jolt would have caused the Kad to fire his shot prematurely before reaching its attended target. While he had try to maintain his hold, He quickly thrust his right hand forward towards the Kad's neck with the blade still in hand. Reason why......the handle part of the knife had a spiked knuckle guard. Also, it put the Vac Attack Mk-127 in-line with the Kad's face.
Tracyn
Upon speaking the word "fire" in Mando'a, the Vac Attack Mk-127 fired a rapid spinning razor disc blade horizontally into the Kad's face.

A smile bowed the priest's lips as his foe thrust a hand between them and latched onto his wrist. His arm jolted to a stop, but he didn't depress the Ripper's trigger- firing a round into his opponent's armored bowels would accomplish nothing. Instead, Faust kept his right foot planted and pivoted to the left, hips twisting hard with the motion as he jerked his ensnared limb down and away. If the traitor failed to release his grip he would hopefully be yanked forward, slung around in the priest's wake, and Faust would bring his beskad screaming up and out to his right in arcing slash that meant to bite into his foe's presumably unprotected left armpit.
And if the aruettii released his wrist, Faust would be left with his body bladed towards his opponent. Flicking his blade into a vertical guard, he would yank the weapon across his body to the right, catching it on the outside of his foe's right forearm and carrying the offending limb past its intended target. It would be a matter of course to fluidly bend his wrist, aiming the tip of his beskad at Kraval's buy'ce, and deliver a thrust at Kraval's forehead. While not a crippling blow, it might serve to stun, and most likely stagger back a step or two.
Which would provide ample opening for Faust to again raise his Ripper, and again fire a round at Kraval's visor.
Faust sang while he worked, voice raising in reverence to the Destroyer God- a low, harsh chant that bespoke the spilling of blood and the changing of seasons.

Kraval kept his left hand tightly gripped upon the right wrist of the Kad mandalorian not letting him get an aim with his Ripper at Kraval's face. Kraval felt the tug from follower trying to force Kraval to either relinguish his grip or fully extend his left arm allowing it to be fully exposed. Kraval engaged his cybernetic implant that allowed him either increased strength, stamina, endurance, or regeneration and at this time he chose strength. Once activated, Kraval planted his right foot forward thus stopping the Kad from turning him in a vulnerable position and keeping his ripper pointed downward away from Kraval's body. If the Kad continues with his attend upright swing it would be met with it being blocked by Kraval's 9" curved beskar survival knife then follow by a hard headbutt to the Kad's exposed head in order to stun the Kad. If the Kad instead stops his swing attempt, Kraval will continue to thrust the spike knuckle guard of his knife towards the Kad's face and upon impact or not a razor sharp disc blade from the Vac Attack Mk-127 on Kravval's right gauntlet would be instantly fired at the Kad's face.

Sorry about that gents. Now for the nitty gritty
Im kind of saddened by the fact that this duel did not continue on, Mando vs Mando is always a good read.
Now both of you started out with your guns, very good way to start out. However both of you did much the same thing, jump out of the way of the bullets. Now in a room that size that is very unlikely even for someone with Jedi reflexes. Bullets and lasers travel very fast.
Faust my friend you called a minor hit. When you went to block the blade of Kravels you stated hitting his armoured wrist. A big no no. Likewise Kravel in the duel you grabbed hold of your opponents wrist which is not allowed. Be careful about that in the future guys. Write with the statement of intent and then hope your opponent replies in kind.
Now maybe had the duel gone on things would have different but I have to judge on what is written here.
Faust won in my opinion. He wrote better, did better, and was better on detail/placement/physics. Krav you have a better handle on dueling Now thanyou ever had though. You are getting TONS better. You made one mistake, in comparison to several in the last outing. I am impressed with how much you've improved...but Faust beat you in this one.
Good job both of you and feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Hope to see you back in the GBA real soon.
