Military Space Station (3)... So many...
The Ancient Sith thought to himself as his mind continued its ceaseless journey through the aether of the Force. He hadn't seen this kind of armada since the Battle of Duro... Even Serroco came to mind for a split second, before Jud gave the memory's of his past a frown, thinking on how the dogs had actually routed the Republic and driven him and his fellow surviving Revanchrist back closer towards the core worlds; victory by victory. Victory comes at a price... He mused, knowing that the more dire the situation, the more hopeless and insurmountable the odds would only help to harden the resolve for the defenders on Kuat, and stoke the fire in the hearts of those resigning themselves to the reality of dying here.
Death. Jud laughed before his mind felt an immense presence within the Force (Whill Erevis), so powerful in fact that it made Jud's mind recoil from it's burning brightness. Death... He thought again, watching the brightness blink out of being as soon as it had appeared. He could wander down to the planet, to see this spectacle of light, but he quelled his curious nature. It is not my place. He reminded himself, turning his mind back to the broiling battle in orbit.
My place has always been here...

Crystaall continued to hold her place as she could sense the enemy doing almost all they can to land into the drive yards. Their attempts would be futile. She knew that with her power, she wouldn't let anyone get to the generator. But she couldn't keep her whole focus on the battle at hand. Crystaall took a deep breath as she tried to think. So she sat there in silence, waiting for the right time to open her eyes and strike at her opponents.

Breaking Orbit was not an issue, it went over quite smoothly actually. And as the sight of the Shipyards grew clearer I was truly amazed at its wonder. What powerful structures had been built and used in the beloved Dark wars. Now, now I was going to protect this dark symbol in its most dire time. Pitching to the right I angled the ship towards what my maps had shown were section 7 of the Kuat drives, this was the section designated for my protection. As I continued the course I reached down send a message with the ships ID hoping that the shipyards would open a back door for me. Hopefully this wasn't going to end with me going splat against the shields.

ANDER - SECTOR 7 - Andrim Shipyards
The ion cannons positioned along the ridges of the ring sang with the explosions as the fire from the invading ships bristled across the shields. The unseen barrier to entry lit up in front of the ships a vibrant red but rebuffed their advances as the missile fire and plasma dissipated along the surface of the alchemically enhanced force field. The shields encase the ring inside a protected space of 2 kilometers in every direction, but if someone could find a way to break past the shields, there was space to skim along the ring surface, provided the heavy ion cannon fire and debris contained inside the ring floating freely from the drydocks could be avoided.
As the energy spreads across the surface of the shields, it becomes plain that while the shields are stronger to impacts and weapons fire, they seem to be constantly shifting with a sickly sluggish movement. The red is strongest over sector 7 but fades to a lighter pink color under fire halfway between sector 7 and sector 1.
TAUNG - FULL RING SCANS - VARIOUS SHIPS
Massive power fluctuations and cycles seem to be centered in sectors 1,2,3 & 7. You detect massive explosions as Ander launches an offensive at sector 7, but his heavy firepower seems to roll right off the shields. They are a vibrant red, something you have not seen before. There are lulls in the power outputs halfway between each spot of intense red and the ion cannons fire consistently, laying down cover fire for the starfighters of the Jedi allies in orbit.
SAUTHRIL - SECTOR 7 - Andrim Shipyards
Your arrival has coincided with Ander's attack run on sector 7, and your transport is rerouted towards an overlap in the shields roughly 5 clicks counterclockwise from the Maw Shipyards to a factory module (13). There you are given a precise window to shoot through a cycling of the shields that overlay at that point, creating a small opening you can zoom through if you are fast enough. The pilot punches it though as stray fire from one of the LAAT's hits your starboard side.
JUD/GAVIN/GIDEON/CRYSTALL/PRACC/JEREK
As the assaults on KDY begin in earnest, you begin to feel a sense of hatred and unease. The power generators for the station are fully online now, repelling would be attackers but you know they will not hold out forever. Alarms strobe in the corridors and tramways, as defensive positions are taken and cannon fire lights up the windows.

Taung's ships spiraled down from the northern hemisphere until they came level with the Kuat Drive Yards Main Offices where they pulled up and to starboard and entered an orbit well outside of the shields, but close enough to the massive yards complex that it shielded them from most fire from the surface. The ships shifted into a plus formation with the Orar and Ram'or sandwiching the three in line Mandokar class Star Frigates as all the ships started scanning the stations shields, looking for a weakness or a hole, something to slip some troops into to try to take the powerful shields down from the inside, or the generators that powered them. The ships angled slightly to put their starboard flanks facing to the south as the ships orbited the yards, their weapons positioning themselves to fire on Dark Tides Reserve Fleet when the orbital move revealed them from the bulk of the planet. The Mishmure'cya class ships draped their recharged ranged shields on either side of the formation, protecting the exposed space side of the formation, and the side that faced the shipyards from whatever weapons they may have in store. Each of the five ships had their heavy tractor beams ready for use in case something was physically tossed at them from the yards or if the yards screened some attacking craft until the last moment. Taung put his troops on notice for combat drop and called Mel on a private channel, telling her to report to the drop station. Copy that. Let's get this show on the road.Mel headed out of the quarters and down the hallways until she came along a cart driver swerving among the controlled chaos. She jumped on his cart and directed him towards the hangar she needed to get to. She felt like a gunslinger, the heavy slugthrowers on her hips, the blasters in holsters under her arms. She had spare clips everywhere she could fit them and a couple knives for good measure. She was actually a little surprised that she didn't clank when she walked. The added weight was going to slow her down in close combat, but this was something that needed to get done.
She was ready to face this destiny. Taung wasn't happy with her choice to be boots on the ground but he was begrudgingly accepting that she was just as much a fighter as he was. The cart squealed to a halt outside the hangar bay she needed and she hopped off, walking slowly up to the rest of the team. The reception was frosty still, they had been thrilled that she was alive until they learned that she was an assassin sent to kill Taung. Trust had to be earned back and evidenced by the fact that Tib and Einen were calling the shots on this mission. She clicked the private channel open to Taung. We're in position. She didn't mention the tension between her and the team to him. It wasn't his problem, it was hers. Either they would trust and accept her again or they would leave her exposed on the mission and let her be taken by the defenders so they could claim plausible deniability. Mel was ready for that eventuality. She knew she was going to get the shit end of the stick on this trip and secretly she expected them to betray her right after the objectives were completed. Her death could be blamed on the Sith and Taung would probably not question the circumstances. She watched the others carefully, looking for ticks and tells. Any sign that they planned to kill her or that they were not who they seemed. Mandalorian armor was a convenient cover that Taung seemed woefully ignorant of when it came to security. People rarely removed their helmets, meaning that if an intruder managed to incapacitate someone, they could put on the armor and move freely through the station, ship, anywhere. 01 could be here. She pushed the thought away and adjusted the gloves under her gauntlets again.

Supply Space Station (1)
*Gavin could feel it strongly flowing through the Force. Such hatred and anger from this battle. It was to be expected, of course, but it had been nearly forty years since he had felt such feelings. Closing his eyes, he dove into the training he had received while a Dark Jedi. He began to focus and took in some of the hatred and anger, letting it soak into his being. He had learned to harness his emotions as well as feed his power through the emotions of others as well. His eyes opening, they began to change. Unlike that of the Sith, his pupils began to bleed the black into the rest of his eyes unto they were solid black, shortly after his iris reemerging a brilliant silver, like the bright shining moon on a clear night. Black lightning sparked from his hands for a second as he watched soldiers scramble around preparing for the enemy to land. They were determined to protect this place. Gavin had agreed to fight with the Dark Tide, but deep down made it an oath to himself to fight and do all he could to protect the Drive Yards. For now he waited and focused on the battle.*

Lieutenant Coronel Zed Mul Battalion Commander of 4th Battalion, 1st Infantry Brigade Commando Team LAAT/i gunship [L-51-J], On approach to Sector 7 of Kuat Drive Yards Lieutenant Coronel Zed Mul grunted as he pulled himself out from underneath the armored body of one of his commandos. He slapped the corpse's thigh, "You dead!?" He shouted, turning his head around the dimly lit troop bay of the LAAT gunship and looking for his buy'ce. He found it stuck beneath the arm of another soldier. With a grunt, Mul yanked the helmet out from under the arm and pulled it down over his head. When the ship had crashed against the shields of the Kuat Drive Yards, Mul hadn't been wearing the helmet. In fact, he had just been pulling it down over his head when their gunship was struck by a series of furious laser cannon blasts, rocking the ship forward and throwing the two pilots off their course. Mul's buy'ce had slipped from his grasp and tumbled across the deck of the troop bay. Soon after the belly of the gunship had scraped against the shields, throwing the commandos within against the ceiling of the vessel. The Coronel slapped the thigh laying across his chest once more. Commando, are you dead, or ignoring me!? Suddenly the leg moved, and Mul heard a voice rasp through the vocoder of a helmet. Settle down, I'm alive, just dazed. Mul recognized the voice, it belonged to Gunnery Sergent Mask'il Dussy'af, 1st Platoon's Gunny. The man rolled off of Mul and clambered to his feet, checking for his rifle. The Coronel, now free, pulled himself upwards with help from another soldier, Sergent Jules Aferty. Mul thanked the man with a nod and then shoved his way to the bow of the ship and keyed the intercom. Leftenants! You two alright in there? Mul called but received only silence in return. Gritting his teeth and expecting the worst, Mul slapped open the hatch release and poked his head through to the lower section of the cockpit. He reached for the small chair that sat the vessels main pilot and pulled it around to face him. Leftenant Bambi Matlock was dead, her helmeted head resting against her armored chest. Mul grabbed the deceased woman by the chest plate and tapped her restraint release, then pulled her down from the chair and dragged her body to the troop bay.Strip her gear and ammo, then stow the body in one of the weapon racks. Get a number on your casualties, Yult, and report to me when you have it. Until then, get this gunship shut down while we figure out what to do. Mul barked his orders then returned to the cockpit and retrieved the body of Leftenant Alix Oxsten. As he reentered the troop bay, Jig Company's CO, Captain Edd Yult stepped passed him and took his position in the vessel's cockpit. After shutting down the gunship's systems, he made his way to Mul's side. We've got one dead, Woods. Third squad machine gunner. Seven injured, but nothing a bacta patch can't solve. The Human male from Dantooine shook his helmeted head. I never thought going for the shield while it stood was going to be a sound plan. Yult muttered, fingering the trigger of his Verpine Assault Carbine. Coronel Mul slapped the man on the shoulder. We'll get there, Yult, don't worry about it. I'm going to ring up GALCOM and see if Tagira or Staton have anything for us. Mul brought the battlefield display up on his HUD that was being relayed to all GALSAF units from the Basterd's Hand. We're close, closer than I thought we were. Mul told Captain Yult. Their gunship was floating just outside the shield barricade protecting the shipyards, where a recent salvo of missiles and turbolaser bolts had just failed to break the shields. The Coronel narrowed his eyes, a reaction expressing the suspicion he felt for what he was seeing. The shields were flaring with energy as the missiles and lasers struck them, but not in the usual colors that discharges took on. These shields were flaring red. Mul worked the thought over in his mind for several long moments, then looked back to Captain Yult. Get a pair of your boys in the cockpit, we may need to guide this sucker in anyway. The Captain nodded and relayed the Coronel's orders. I need two commandos to operate what still functions on this can. Yult called. Sergents Liv Ni'karta and Jules Aferty offered, slipping between their fellow commandos and closing the cockpit hatch behind them. In the meantime, Coronel Mul opened a channel directly to the Lord Commander.Tagira, I don't think these shields are going to buckle under Staton's fire. You're not going to make an entrance for us there. Try an area where you don't get that red discharge. They must have an upgraded generator system of some kind, though I've never seen anything like it.Moments later, Tagira's voice sounded in his ear. I think you're right. Orient your forces towards that area between Sectors One and Seven, the shields are reacting less powerfully over there. I think they might have a recharging system installed that's absorbing our shots.Mul shook his head, though he knew Tagira wouldn't see him. My ship's engines and pilots are dead, I won't be able to show up myself. He replied, bitterness in his voice. Tagira's response came in the form of laughter. You've still got maneuvering jets, right? Limp your ass there. The Coronel grinned, then responded with an affirmative and killed the comchannel. He turned to Captain Yult and relayed Tagira's information before preparing a Battalion-wise message.CO's, get your boys ready for insertion. GALCOM's going to attempt to break their shields between Sectors One and Seven. Reorient your craft in a shifting pattern, but make your way there. Be ready to slip in. Mul ended the transmission and relayed his orders to Ni'karta and Aferty. The pair immediately brought the gunship's maneuvering jets online, which required too little power to trace, thankfully. Mul felt the vessel shift under his feet as the nose spun back towards the shipyards. They would arrive after the rest of the Company, but they'd get there just in time for the shields to have that hole blown in them, if they were successful at all.

Admiral Jethroe Staton, [GC-03] Admiral of GALSAF Naval Group Command Bridge of the Basterd's Hand Admiral Jethroe Staton was watching the shields around the shipyards flare a bright, menacing red. His vessel's missiles and turbolasers had summarily been ignored by the shielding system installed in the station's innards, emitting a strange glow as they did so that seemed to dissipate across the rouge spectrum, dissipating into a pinkish tinge. For a moment Staton had thought the shields had buckled, though his suspicious mind told him other wise. His thoughts were supported by the transmission he received from Ander Tagira moments later. Lieutenant Coronel Zed Mul was trapped on board a disabled LAAT gunship near the strike zone and had seen first hand the effect their weapons had one the shields. His suggestion was to strike a center-point between Sectors 1 and 7, where he suspected the shields might not augmented in whatever way had allowed them to thwart their first advance. Knowing the gunships would not survive long without taking great casualties, Staton called for the weapon crews to reorient their targeting solutions."Focus firepower on that middle section, between Sectors One and Seven. Give them a full overcharge barrage from our Eight-Twenty-Sevens." The weapon crew leader nodded and turned to his console, reworking their solutions as the Heavy Dual DBY-827 Turbolasers reached their maximum capacity. A moment later, the weapons fired once more, fully charged this time around. Their substantial energy bolts lanced towards the shipyards once more, followed by another grouping of 10 assault concussion missiles. Staton leaned forward slightly in his command chair, focusing in on the area of the shipyards they had targeted on the battlefield display."Break them, dammit." Staton muttered to himself. "Break them off."

The Chiss Troopers continued to help load the civilians aboard the Leo class Transports. The troopers were by no measure any sort of fighting force, mainly armoued in a Light Armour Suit and carried a Charric Pistol (coded to each soldiers DNA. insides wired to meltdown if owner dies). They knew they paled in comparison to what ever force the Mando's had, but they were dedicated to getting these people to safety, a job which would typically fall to GALSAF, had their leader not decided to side with a blood thirsty hoard hell bent on destruction. They then gave a thump on the transport cockpits when the civilians were loaded up, before the loading ramps were raised. The bulk of the troopers stayed behind with the rest of the civilians, whilst 6 troopers left with each transport. The pilots of the Leo's checked their scanners and the data provided by the defending forces, looking for a good exit point

Taung's ships continued to circle the outer ring of the Drive Yards, scanning, looking for a weak point. Six squads of Commandos stood by to jump into combat. Each had an Imperial Heavy Repeater with an underbarrel micro grenade launchers, others carried Relby v-10 micro grenade launchers, and still others carried RT-97C repeating blasters. All carried various grenades and thought about their job, going over potential drop points and the general schematics of where they would have to go. Every soldier carried a single weapon that was made special by very qualified technicians under very controlled conditions. Implosion devices were special, they were only the size of a standard remote, but their high intensity fireball and massive half kilometer explosion radius was guaranteed to produce such temperatures and such a shockwave that all biological matter would be destroyed. It worked well as extremely small and portable demolition charges, especially when dealing with large industrial grade armor and shields. One squad kept glancing towards one female commando, in fact the only all human squad, and the only female commando. The rest of the commando squads werent sure of the tension, but it was palpable within that squad. They hadnt asked and the human squad hadnt shared. It was up to them, they didnt need any more problems than assaulting a shipyard as it was.
Taung's thoughts were on the assault bay, but his attention was focused on the Imperial ships that had just appeared with their backs to him from around the southern hemisphere of the planet. Two Imperial class Star Destroyers and a total of 10 Victory class Star Destroyers in two groups of five that had arrayed themselves against Shun's fleet...his five ships opened fire...

After receiving the rerouted message , i readjusted the ship tell I reached the opening. Yet before the shuttle made it through the opening I felt it rattle hard. Looking at ship, flames has sprung where the ship had been struck by fire meant for the shields of the Shipyards. Guiding the ship into section 13 ship bay I pulled the TIE fighter into a slow stop hovering atop the platform. Lowering downwards i felt the ship bounce once as it landed. Opening the hatch i jumped out of the ship. Well Finally we made it in one piece, Now to to head to where I need to be. Walking towards an exit I looked at what appeared to be a digital map of the Station. Committing my path to memory, I left headed towards section 7.
The halls were almost to empty, sirens bellowed in the back round giving off the faint glows of red and yellow. With everyone gone from evacuations it seemed like an empty shell. As I walked through the empty halls I could feel my heart racing in wait of the coming game. How long I had no Idea but at some point I would have to deal with the Mando's who made it on to the shipyards. I twisted though hallway after hallway, in a hurried pace.
It took a bit but finally I made it to one of several entrances into Section 7. Reaching down and grabbing Horus I lifted him from his holster on my right. Once clasped in my right hand i reached down with my left hand grabbing on of 3 explosive round clips sliding it into the butt of the gun. Withe the slide of my left hand I loaded one shot into the barrel. Aiming it at the control Panel next to the door I took several strides backwards putting distance between me and the door. Once I was far enough away I fired at the panel. Horus kicking back in my hand. I watch with a smile of the small explosion that happened in the panel. Seeing the power shut down around the door. Well that was one entrance I didn't have to worry about, placing Horus back into its holster I gathered the force into me. Turning around I took off using the force to aid me in running. My destination the shield generator its self.
After several minutes I arrived, noticing that as I grew closer to the generator their was troops. Their numbers growing the closer I got. I came to stop next to a group of what seemed the leaders of the small numbers. Gathered here.
Whos in charge here? Im here to help!
Two gentelmen turned to face me, I noticed that like there troops they were dressed in black armor, and black vest. They approached me slowly. The one on the right spoke first. I Am sir. And glad to see we one of you here.
I smiled as I crossed my arms in front of me, breathing heavier since running here.
Glad I could lightened up the mood. But from this point forward I'll be taking lead here. So make sure the mens positions are fortified and there ready to go. I've gone ahead and locked us in here, so there is only one option here. Fight tell you no longer have the breath to pull a trigger.
There was grunts of disapproval as the men went back to what there were doing, I joined the two as the went back to the small group huddled around. Listening to them talk I was glad to hear what the had done. Barricades had been set up, for men to hind behind 4 rows set up circle around the Generator. Large enough for men to hide behind and shoot from cover. They carried standard issued Blaster riffles and several explosive grenades. When we found where they would be coming from I would join them up front to drop as many as I could before they reached barricades, then draw back so that they would then have to make it past the other 32 troops.

Mel followed her team onto the MAAT/CG, butterflies swirling around her innards. The door closed, sealing them in as she stared down at the floor. The gunship lifted off the hangar floor as yelling in the cockpit as the warships began to engage the Dark Tide fleets closing in on them. The pilots headed down towards where they had just previously seen a TIE fighter get hit and dip beneath the pink band of shielding near sector 13 near the Kuat Main shipyard (9). It was lit up as ion cannon fire crackled over the skin of the shield.
Sep, Einen, Tib, Vith and Leos were stoically quiet as the gunship bucked around the battlefield. Mel was sitting a little bit away from them, leaning her helmet on the barrel of a stock Verpine sniper. She wore 2 shatter pistols on her hips, lots of ammo clips on her bandoliers and gunbelt. She would have to prove herself again to these men. If she had to give her life for theirs, she would gladly make that sacrifice. Her team would leave KDY alive. She owed them that much.

Jethroe/Ander - Midway between Sector 7 & Sector 1
Success/Failure roll = 8
The turbolasers from the Basterd's Hand hit the place where the shields meet, and highlight a cycling gap between the shields where one overlaps and recedes only to be replaced by another like a teenaged boy using two sponges to shine a classic car hood by wiping something on then wiping something off. The resultant gaps are short but timed in a predictable sequence. There is a gap to slip through, however without the constant dissipation of energy across the surface of the shields, the gaps become invisible.
Becc - Residential Space Station Sector 2
Success/Failure roll = 4
As battle heats up, the residential station begins to take heavier fire as starfighters engage outside the shields. Stray ion cannon shots from nearby engagements rock the ship as it clears the gap in the shields.
Mel - Kuat Main Spaceport Sector 9
Success/Failure = 3
The MAAT/CG takes heavy fire from the KDY ion cannons, knocking the small gun ship off course. A shot takes out the engines, sending the MAAT careening towards the shields. The damage has disabled the steering and it looks as though the ship may not make it to its ultimate destination.
Sauthril - Andrim Station Sector 7
Success/Failure = 5
You manage to destroy the control panels for the door as you make it to the shield generator, but in your haste, you have overlooked a critical issue. The doors cannot be sliced to come open, however you cannot shut the heavy blast doors that seal off the shield generator from the rest of sector 7.

The resultant gaps are short but timed in a predictable sequence. There is a gap to slip through, however without the constant dissipation of energy across the surface of the shields, the gaps become invisible. Jethroe Staton [GC-03] Admiral of GALSAF Naval Task Force Command Deck of the Basterd's Hand
"Admiral!" The shout came from the Sensory Pit, belonging to Chief Warrant Officer Marc Fallerey. "The last salvo exposed a gap in the shipyard's shields." Staton manipulated the console built into the arm of his command chair, zooming in on the area Fallerey had identified. The shields were circulating between a pinkish glow and translucency wherever weapons fire struck them. The pattern was consistent, though the gaps were short as the cycling capabilities of the shields were rather quick. The Mon Calamari Admiral called back to the Weapons Crew. "Recycle the previous firing solution, fire on my order."As the Weapons Crew prepared another volley of fire, Staton pulled Zed Mul's comm frequency and alerted the Lieutenant Coronel to the situation. "Coronel Mul, are your gunships ready to enter the shields?"The reply came in immediately. We're ready, though a couple of our vessels, including my own, will need more time to get through. We're working on restoring some engine power, but I'm working on attitude thrusters until then.Staton grimaced. He had hoped to send in the entire force all at once, though it seemed this would not be possible. A second salvo would be needed to open up the shields enough for the disabled craft to slip through, and even that was a long shot. "Coronel, we are prepared to open up the shields at your ready. We will fire again when ready for the second group." Staton told him, before signaling the Weapons Crew once more. Their Chief Warrant Officer confirmed they were ready to fire, then Staton heard Mul's voice return to the comms. We're ready, Admiral. Fire when ready.Staton looked back to the Weapons Crew and waited for another moment as the Basterd's Hand completed its maneuver and slid successfully into place behind the shipyards, protecting them from the planetary turbolasers that had recently exposed their position on the planet's surface. He watched the battlefield display as GALSAF's LAAT gunships arrayed themselves in a loose formation outside the shielding perimeter."Weapons Crew…fire. Coronel, get your boys moving." Staton ordered. The weapons of the Basterd's Hand fired once more, loosing their energy towards the shipyards. As high-powered turbolaser bolts and concussion missiles seared through cold space towards their target, GALSAF's gunships began to swing downward, tipping sideways onto a wingtip as they arced towards the target zone. TIEs continued to cut through the air around them, their laser cannons flaring through the dark space between the two fighting forces. The fully functioning LAAT gunships began to pour towards the gap in the shields, in close timing with the incoming barrage of fire. Coronel Mul took command of the few gunships left behind, limping towards the shields on a fraction of their normal power. They would need to await a second barrage before making their entrance, as the gap in the shields would close too quickly for them to make it through without risking destruction.

The three pilots saw their best escape chance as a small gap in the sheilds was about to open. They all activated their repulsors as they retracted their landing gear, before engaging their engines as they move out of the hangar bay of the Residential Quarters. The battle was really getting into full swing now, with massive capital ships and frigates now leveling themselves with the orbital drive yards to use it as cover from the ground defences. The 3 Leo class Transports pulled themselves "under" the yards as they quickly pulled through a gap in the shields that appeared briefly. They then began evasive maneuvers as the space around them started to fill with stray Ion fire from all sides as the opposing forces engaged one another. The pilots did their best to dodge the incoming fire, however a couple glancing shots out all three transports shields, whilst various other ammunitions created what could be equated to a great deal of turbulance. Before too much more damage could be inflicted, the 3 Transports managed to clear the Drive Yards and pull off away towards the Medical Fleet waiting further out in orbit of the planet

The MAAT leveled out over the gap in the shields with Tib signaling everyone to the door as the pilots abandoned the cockpit and headed for the door. Mel had a moment to look at the shipyard passing beneath her, her knees locked up in terror. She had never jumped from a gunship, let alone jumping into space. She was about to pull from the door when she felt a hard shove on her back and she tumbled out of the MAAT.
Fire your jets. Angle down. Try not to die.
Sep's voice was only slightly less frosty this time and she followed his instructions, trying to pilot the jetpack down to the gap beneath her and the rest of the team. Hopefully, the ion cannons would avoid the specks with the glowing fire trails behind them otherwise this would be a short trip.

Jethroe
Success/Failure Roll = 7
As the shielding cycle opens a maw to the outside of the drive yards, the GALSAF ships stream through before the opening closes. There is a shimmer of power across the face of shields and the pulsating energy seems to freeze as someone stabilizes the generator on the inside and seals the breach before more ships can get through. Sixty nine batteries of ion cannons on the surface of the drive yards target the gunships that have managed to get through and open fire on the invaders.
Becc
Success/Failure = 9
The three transports manage to skirt the battle and weave between the shots to meet up with the medical ships.
Mel
Success/Failure = 10
The team streamed through the cacophany of battle around them and passed into the interior shielded area. The small armored teams slipped past unseen by the spotters who were much more preoccupied by the fire coming from the large Mandalorian ships and starfighers.

Lieutenant Coronel Zed Mul Battalion Commander, 4th Battalion, 1st Infantry Brigade Commando Team, GALSAF Outside Kuat Drive Yard shield barrier Zed Mul watched the holoprojector that emitted the battlefield display from the bulkhead between himself and the cockpit of his gunship. Nearly half of their force had made it successfully through the gap in the shields that developed as a result of the Basterd's Hand's last salvo; the rest were forced to pull away at the last second as the glow from the shield gap began to fade away once more. As his own vessel limped its way in visual silence towards the grouping area, he roused Adrmial Jethroe Staton over comms.Staton, I need another volley, quick. We don't have much time. Mul snapped, watching as the portion of their forces that had successfully penetrated the shielding gap were subjected to ion cannon fire from the shipyards various weapons emplacements. He saw two gunships struck down almost immediately, mostly due to the tight formation in which they had been forced to fly. One of the gunships was hit smack on the nose. Thankfully the pilot had pressed his shields to full frontal and managed to keep the vessel on its flight path for the most part, though Mull noticed it shook heavily and began to lose altitude. The LAAT/i gunship would continue on its wavering trajectory long enough to drop below the path of the ion cannons, though its pilot was forced to navigate the city structure of the shipyards at a much slower pace, leaving it vulnerable despite the crowded area in which it now flew. The other gunship, however, was not so lucky, taking several ion bolts to its port stabilizer. The armor absorption system built into the port side of the ship overloaded and blew, damaging the stabilizer at its joint with the fuselage of the gunship. The vessel took a sharp turn to port as its engines on that side fizzled out and clipped the side of an ion cannon emplacement. Mul couldn't tell what damage might have been caused to the cannon, and the gunship disappeared from visual range, boiling smoke and flame.Larty-Four-One-Jig, what's your status!? Mul demanded. The voice that replied was tense and angry. Took an ion bolt to the port stabilizer, struck a building on the way in. We're alright for now, but we've got two casualties, ambulatory, stable. I'm setting us down now, but we're a good four hundred meters from the insertion point. It's going to take us a while to get there.Mul gritted his teeth and watched as the Basterd's Hand fired another salvo at the shipyard shields, aiming to open up a second gap. Mul felt his own gunship shake beneath him as their new pilots began to press the vessel forward. It would be close shave getting through that shield with a compromised vessel, but Zed tried not to think about it. Even if they struck the shield, their slow velocity might save the ship from destruction, though Zed began formulating a second plan.Secure your casualties, leave them with the gunship, we'll arrange for pick up when possible. For now get that platoon settled, I want them inside the station as soon as possible. He listened absentmindedly to the affirmative reply L-41J's pilot gave him, instead ordering his own commandos to gather in the troop bay. He called the pilots back from the cockpit, giving them orders to lock the maneuvering jets for a course through the expectant shield gap. Hopefully the vessel would make it through, though if it didn't, they could blow the troop bay away from the rest of the gunship, jettisoning them through the gap in the shields before it closed. If his timing was off however…Mul shook the thought from his head. GALSAF Commandos didn't think about failure, they only considered how to succeed. Anything else was a waste of time. Quickly he shot off similar orders to the other disabled gunship, which was making for the shield same as his own.Gather 'round, we've locked in a course through the shield gap. The Hand just fired... Mul paused as he watched the volley from the Imperial-II class Star Destroyer flash through the darkness around their vessel on the display screen. …And if our gunship can't make it through we're going to blow the troop bay from the gunship, hopefully launching us through in time.Gripping his rifle tightly, Zed watched as the full strength of their flagship seared through space, hoping against hope his gambit paid off. if not, they could all very well end up being vaped.Major Navaro Ularc Flight Leader, GALCOM XJ7 X-wing Flight Major Ularc kicked his fighter up onto its port stabilizers as an incoming TIE/ln barreled its way toward him, laser cannons flashing. He returned fire in the form of three two-shot bursts, though his evasive maneuver told him his shots would be off. Indeed they were, flashing between and around the TIE's own stabilizer panels even as the green lasers shot past his own."Kriff." He grunted, continuing his maneuver and turning the fighter over on its topside, then looping downward in the direction of the shipyards to come up on his target's aft end. Unfortunately the TIE had already maneuvered away and he lost track of it. Grunting again to himself, Ularc brought Wing Leaders up on his comlink. Alright boys, form up again, in pairs, we're making another run. We need to keep their fighters off our gunships.Ularc fell in line behind Captain Jacobe Tell and his wingmate, Captain Uma Orthib, of Alpha Wing. Being the Flight Leader, Ularc had no wingmate himself; his job was to flitter between the various pairs of fighters, lending support when needed and keep a handle on the overall battle. Like commanding fighting vornskrs, Ularc was tasked with controlling the chaos, unleashing his squadrons when, where and how they were needed to accomplish the mission at hand. The pilots they were facing off with were indeed skilled, able to maximize the capabilities of their TIE/ln's, an outdated craft by most standards. But Ularc knew that standards meant less than little when the you put the right pilot behind the stick of a starfighter. The Major quickly reran his local scanners, picking up a group of three TIE fighters just beyond the edge of the main battle. The fighters were looping around to make another run it seemed, and Ularc had the feeling they hadn't yet spotted him.Tell, Orthib, on me. We're taking that group of three at Mark Two-One-One. His pilots confirmed receipt of their orders by letting his craft slip past their noses, guiding them towards the nearby TIE's. As the three XJ7's accelerated to close the distance, they began drawing targets independently of one another. The group refrained from locking on with torpedoes to avoid scaring off their quarry, though as they closed past 500 meters distance, Ularc was sure they'd been spotted. He gave the fire order and together, the three XJ7's began leading the three opposing TIE/ln fighters, strafing the space before their ball cockpits with searing red laser cannon bolts. As they fired, the GALSAF pilots cut their speed enough to be able to slip into place behind the enemy TIE's regardless of which direction they maneuvered to avoid their attacker's fire.

Not long after the first group of Leo Transports had made it free of the Kuat Drive Yards, The next group of 3 Leo Transports made their approach towards the Residential Space Station. So far the invading forces were all going for the other sections of the Drive Yards, their biggest worries were stray shots from engagements further from the Drive Yards and shots fired from the Drive Yards themselves. They did their best to keep to the inside ring of the Drive Yards, hoping to use them as cover from fire going towards the attacking force as they made their approach towards the Hangar Bay where the civilians were gathered

Jud's omnipotent gaze continued to watch through the Force, as the Mandalorian's noose started to tighten around the halo-ring orbiting Kuat. The Drive Yards we now under full assault, the battle in space dwindling down as the glittering, sparking hulks of floating wreckage marked the nearing end of the defender's valiant efforts in prolonging the inevitable. The Old Sith's ethereal face scowled, as he watched the tactical prowess of the dogs start to take hold. They were going to flank many of the generator positions. Their forced landings allowing for pincer-like moves against the installations, and Jud's position was no different.
Two pronged... Jud mused to himself, his voice echoing off the nothingness of his flowing consciousness, before retracting back towards his body. He took one last look around his section of the yards, noting that there were only two ways of instant entrance for a sizable force. Two large bulkheads, with blast doors the size of a grav-tanks stood on either side of section 3. They were the only portals of immediate access, yet they were the perfect bottleneck. As Jud's mind settled back into his husk, he continued on hypothesizing where exactly would these Mandos be coming from? Obviously if Jud knew that the blast doors were their best way in, but also a tactical nightmare, would the Mandalorians choose another route?
Jud's eye fluttered open, his mind feeling the incantations and stones which kept his body "alive" starting up with his return. "Alpha, take 4 others (HK-Js) and a Droideka to the South entrance..." Jud said, as his head rose from his meditation. Alpha snapped his heels together and brought a balled metal fist to his chest plate, before giving a curt sweep of his remaining hand. To which 4 other HK-Js snapped too, and followed Alpha, the Droideka Mk.II bringing up the rear. As Alpha set out with his platoon, Jud's head turned towards his remaining droids. "Beta, take the remainder (4 HK-Js, 1 Droideka Mk.II) and head towards the North entrance." As Jud finished Beta and his platoon saluted in the same manner as Alpha, and matched off towards the North entrance.
Jud gave his decision a nod before rising to his feet and stretching his extremities. His HUD display showing where his droids were, and his relative position to the generator. He would remain here, smack dab in the middle of everything... When the attack came - and it would - he could respond into the worst of it at a moment's notice.
