Considering who they were about to deal with and those that he served in his past, Vidarr had to consider it.
Have that lightsaber ready.
The turbolift came to a halt and opened up to a long corridor. Doors on the left and right led to various locations, both for business and personal functions. Overseers, of the various dockyard activities, likely had a room here if they were pulling double shifts. There were also meeting rooms, indicating that they were supposed to work together. However, the Deputy Director noticed something completely off about this level: there was no signs of life. The lights were on, the place was clean, but there wasn't any buzz of activity. He keyed one room and looked in, finding an office that was unoccupied.
They said he would be the seventh door down.
Vidarr remarks as he moves down the hallway, keeping a casual stride. He walks up to the door and keys it, causing a ring to go off.
=???= Come in.
The Imperial saw the door open to reveal a man with white hair looking over a console and sitting in a chair. Erik was much older than Vidarr by now, considering his career began in the later days of the Clone Wars, in the Republic Navy. Vidarr walked into the room while the Death Troopers kept in the hallway and silent. Keeping his mood light, Saren even offers a smile.
I was wondering where you went, Erik. After all these years.
Erik turned in his chair, looking at his former comrade. For a moment, he seemed a bit confused before realizing who it was.
=Erik= Vidarr? Vidarr Saren? What in stars name are you doing here?
Saren kept the light mood as he motions outside.
Inspection brought me here. What with the loyalists advancing and the rebels seemingly retreating. Heard you worked a dockyard so I came to see you.
For now, everything seemed cordial.

Her heart beating in her chest, Reya nodded a few times to herself trying to shake off the nerves and remember all her training. But as the door opened the first thing she felt was a wave of relief. Erik was alone. At least be first appearances. Reya smirked and entered behind Vidarr, her hands clasped behind her back, trying to look as official and well trained as possible. As the pair exchanged pleasantries, she began to take a wide circle around the office. As she crossed around the room, feigning interest in the various items on the periphery of the space, she began to feel the next sensation that would swiftly lead to a third: She felt... power, the Force, a powerful amount coming from the seemingly middle management man behind the desk. She stopped abruptly and turned to look at Vidarr. Her confidence had evaporated as she tried to subtilty gesture with her head at Erik while tapping her lightsaber. Luckily she had walked into the room and gone to her right, so the left side where her saber hung was away from Erik. It was a long shot that Vidarr would pick up the signals and understand them. But if anyone could, it would be her mother's second-in-command.

Vidarr had his own suspicions about Erik. Having worked with Zariel, and other Dark Jedi, for many years now, the Imperial began to suspect others he knew from his past with the First Galactic Empire. The Emperor certainly had many subordinates and agents through the Empire's structure; bureaucracy, military, civilian, and more. All of them his eyes, ears, and hands that worked to ensure the Empire remained what it was and that it remained with his vision. Many of them seemingly vanished after the fall, but a great number were confirmed to be killed by the New Republic and the New Jedi Order that came later.
Even though Saren noticed what Reya was trying to say, so too did Erik. Vidarr had warned her about this man being dangerous and likely skilled. Even with grey hairs, he reacted fast, faster than Vidarr could draw his blaster. A locker burst open as Erik raised his hand, something ignited as it flew by the Deputy Director... grazing his cheek with a crimson lightsaber. A gloved hand came up, grabbing his cheek as Vidarr felt the sting, moving off to the side slightly.
FRACK! DEATHTROOPERS, SUBDUE HIM!
The Death Troopers rounded from the doorway, only to be blasted back by Erik who grabbed his lightsaber in mid-air. The older male looked between Reya and Vidarr knowing there were two opponents in two directions. He chose his left, leaping over the desk and aiming for Reya, who Erik sensed was capable in the Force.

Thankfully, her hand had already been close to her lightsaber. Vidarr hadn't been lying about this man being dangerous. Her yellow blade sprang to life and fully extended just in time to block the incoming strike. Though the force of his leaping attack forced Reya back a bit, she held her saber at the ready. By the authority of the Imperial Security Bureau, you are to stand down and come with us! The tremble in Reya's voice was audible, while she may someday inherit Zariel's stoney poker face, today was not that day. While she had spared many times with the members of the Fallen Four, her mother's personal cadre of Dark Jedi disciples, it had always been practice with no real chance for death. But this was definitely different...

Erik wasn't going to listen. Despite his age, the male flew at Reya with a flurry of lightsaber blows. From behind them, Vidarr was a bit surprised by the fact that the once relatively quiet and unseen crewmember had become this. No wonder there were hardly any personnel files on Erik; he was a Dark Side Adept. The Imperial began to stand up, attempting to aim a stun at Erik. However, his opponent sensed it and began to move around more, even forcing Reya into the line of fire, which ensured the Deputy Director couldn't get a solid lock.
Erik landed a good kick into Reya's gut, forcing her away. Thus, the Dark Sider disengaged and attempted to run. A few stuns flew by, missing him by inches as Vidarr attempted to do so. Out in the hallway, Erik came face to face with the Death Troopers once more. Lightsaber flaring to life as he blocked some laser bolts before jumping to the left as stuns were fired next. From there, he Force Pushed them once more, then attempted to make for a turbolift.

Reya felt herself loose her footing as her lower half was forced back, but her upper half attempted to stay stationary. She practically fell on her face. But as she saw Erik try to run, she threw out a hand as a conduit for the Force, grasping at Erik's ankle telepathically, and she attempts to yank it back, putting him in the same position. Succeed or fail, Reya was standing up and pursuing at all haste she could muster. This was her first mission, and she couldn't let it end like this.

The tug in the Force, upon his leg, wasn't exactly anticipated since Erik was looking more for an escape.
=Erik= BLAST IT!
The Dark Jedi remarks loudly as he stumbles a bit. One of the Death Troopers gets up, nailing him with a stun, but it didn't prove a hundred percent effective. As Vidarr had mentioned, Erik was a shadow, an agent of the Old Empire before. The rigorous training seemed to have never faded, merely just been painted over by his civilian role and new persona in order to adjust to the changes within the galaxy.
The Death Trooper goes flying by the doorframe as Erik recovers. Vidarr managed to get out into the hallway, leveling his own blaster pistol at Erik.
Damn it, Erik! I just need to talk with you!
His own pistol fires off a stun round, but goes wide considering the graze on Vidarr's head was a bit hard to focus.

Reya uses every advantage she can to close the distance as fast as she can. Her youth, the stumble, and the stun blast all made the distance between the pair disappear. She swung for Eriks weapon, hoping to damage his own saber and make him easier to subdue. It was also her hope, that even if she failed to disable his weapon, that her being back in melee, and prepared this time, would buy enough time for Vidarr and the troopers to back her up. Listen to him, Erik. We just have some questions!

Erik didn't seem to listen, but the fact that Reya closed the gap, preventing his escape, certainly caught his attention. Her own lightsaber grazed the bottom metal of his own weapon, causing it to short circuit. The Death Trooper behind her angled slightly and blasted a stun round towards him, the left edge passing through his left arm and making it go numb. The Dark Jedi grits his teeth, looking between the trio now, given the other Death Trooper hadn't risen after being flung down the hallway. Vidarr keeps his blaster pistol up, coming more into view now.
I need to know about the Outer Rim and Operation Shadowhand.
This caught Erik's attention immediately as he turned to the Deputy Director. The older male's eyebrow went up slightly.
=Erik= ...how in the stars do you know about that?
Vidarr shrugs his shoulders, but keeps his blaster pistol leveled in his general direction.
When you learn from the Grand Inquisitor, by serving her personally, you learn how to look for the details hidden in plain sight.
Erik looks at Vidarr and then at Reya before turning his gaze back to Vidarr.
=Erik= Nothing else?
This time, Vidarr sighs and shakes his head.
We just need information. Information that you have that my superior requires.

Reya was suspicious and arched an eyebrow at the question from Erik? What else did he know? What other secrets did he have? She kept the yellow blade at the ready, incase he tried to flee again. As much as she would hate to maim him, she would first go for the legs, but hopefully it wouldn't come to such barbarism and he would just listen. Yes! We just want access to the records and know what happened. We can get that information here, or we can take you back to Dubrillion.

There was a contemplation upon the face of Erik. He looked between Reya and then Vidarr. The Dark Jedi was likely assessing if he could take them both on, but his bones were older than they were before. He used the Force to manipulate these days, to ensure his identity was hidden, and that none even considered questioning nor investigating him. But these were the typical minds, not the ones possessed by a long time Imperial and this female Force User. A hiss was heard as the crimson blade vanished into his hilt. His hands went behind his head now, turning to face Reya.
=Erik= Can't exactly talk here, but only way out is arresting me I suppose.
Vidarr nods to the Death Trooper that remained who approached Erik and proceeded to put stun cuffs on him. He keys his comlink.
Target secured. Commander. Have our Intelligence agents work on wiping out the security footage for this area.
Saren then holsters his blaster before looking at Reya as Erik was escorted to the turbolift.
If this had been during the Old Empire... I doubt I'd be alive...
Erik must have been quite the agent in his prime for the agenda of the Emperor and the Dark Side Adepts that the records spoke of. The so-called Dark Empire and the Sith Order that was at the center of the First Imperial Period. This had better be worth the information that needed to be acquired for the sake of the Grand Inquisitor's ambitions. Else, he just fought an old man, and former colleague, for nothing.

Reya kept her saber ignited, casting its golden glow through out the hall way, until Erik was secured in his cuffs and being led away. She returned it to her belt, saying nothing, but the look she gave Vidarr, was in agreement with his statement. She hadn't expected Erik to be so strong, it had seemed that it would have been an easy blue milk run. But it seemed that there had indeed been reason to send both herself and Vidarr on this mission. Reya's heart was still pounding in her chest from the brief but dangerous struggle. She makes her way over to where the other Death Trooper had been thrown against the wall, she knelt down next to him to check his vitals. While doing so, she focused her power. She focused on that little burning light that had been growing dimmer and dimmer since Valon had escaped, but it still flickered in the shadow of her mother's influence. And with that light and power, she channeled the healing energy that had on occasion kept Valon from death at the hands of Zariel's torture. She knew she still had to be careful with this power, she had learned in her lessons with Raynor that it was a technique used almost exclusively by those in opposition to the Inquisition. She stood up after pretending to examine the trooper and turned back to the rest. He'll be alright, just probably needs light duties till he's fully recovered.

Vidarr glanced over at Reya when she talked about the downed Death Trooper.
We will be returning to the Hercules II in the Outer Rim after this mission. Medical personnel there can take care of him.
Likely, once the information was given by Erik, the Deputy Director wondered if his fleet would need to be redeployed. The fact that he was a Dark Jedi made Vidarr wonder how deep and dark this information was. They were talking about the Dark Empire who had gone rather crazy with the construction of larger warships, dreadnought sized monstrosities, and planet killing superweapons. Even Byss had had a defense fleet that had many Allegiance-class Battlecruisers. And yet, all of this would lead to what could possibly be the key to Zariel's ambitions.
Let us return to the ship now. Erik has some questions that need answering and the Grand Inquisitor will likely want to hear this over transmission.
Vidarr knew they were about to scratch the surface of something quite interesting.
