The passengers board the MC80a starliner "Stargazer" in preparation for their trip - as well as to christen a new line of starliners that will be operating out of the Serenno system. Boarding, they stow their possessions, get situated in their rooms, and comfortably wait for their trip to get underway...unbeknownst tot hem, a saboteur - a rebel opposed to the Counts rule on Serenno - has decided to make a display of the ship. Setting a detonite charge next to the hyperdrive, the rebel sneaks away into the belly of the ship...only to reemerge some minutes later in his room: no one the wiser. The captain signals that they would be jumping to hyperspace soon...the ship departs out of the station, orients with sublight to the nearest hyperspace lane, its hyperdrive charges with energy...and just as it engages, the bomb detonates.

So yeah, I'm putting together a lost in space RP. The ships hyperdrive is essentially randomized after the blast - sending us to random planets. Literally, random: I've compiled a huge list of uninhabited planets, wastelands, pre-space cultures and planets, wild space planets who don't have contact with the outer galaxy, and even sections of deep space and space phenomena. Each of these items on the list is numbered - with a random number generator provided by www.random.org being used to pick our next destination. At each destination, any various things may happen to the ship, the crew, and etcetera. The road home will be long and difficult...but possible. For all intensive purpose, this RP will take place in Serenno orbit - mostly because the planet needs the RP (as this is part of the Serenno restoration project ongoing between myself and Jace Stealer) as well as a want not to have the hassle of contacting a whill and to wait for a new thread to be made.
