Does not surprise me in the slightest. Good show if you can get over the MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF HAM. Same can be said for Death Note.
As far as live action goes, I've got a pretty short list.

Ham is part of a balanced diet. Also, its hilarious.
Darker than Black was fun. I love how they tease you - giving you hints what's happening without telling you anything. I've got a feeling if they told me, I'd be disappointed. I live for disappointment.
