Spending the duration of the trip in her meditation, her eyes opened as she felt a slight shift in the ship. Before her was a field of asteroids flying by, some seeming to just barely miss the ship. Standing to her feet, she moved to the viewport, placing her hand on it as she watched the rocks fly by. It seemed that what Krai had told her was true. The mass of asteroids around them that were ever changing wasn't something many could navigate with the proper updates, much less without.
Before long, the field was safely navigated and a structure appeared in front of them, Kia just barely able to see it if she pressed herself up against the glass. As she watched, the dock took shape around them and she felt the ship come to a stop. It was then she heard the alert, summoning her to the cargo bay. She turned away from the viewport, looking out into space seemingly as she listened to the message before grabbing up her weapons. Belt and holster back around her waist and sword on her back, she departed the observation deck and made her way towards the elevator, taking it back down to the cargo bay.
While she had been tempted to just push another button to take her to the higher levels, she didn't want to cause any issues in her home territory. If she was going to accept this offer, she didn't need to create the image of her being someone that couldn't be trusted. As the doors opened, she departed the lift and made her way over to Krai, who was waiting for her. "You have quite the pilot. That asteroid field surely is something to be feared for those who are unprepared."

A smirk came to the Krai's lips as her passenger complemented her pilots skills. The Organization only hires the best. That's why you and I are here. Come on, you seem eager to get this over with. Krai lead the way through the busy dock, people parting as she walked through. Eventually Krai lead the woman to one of the many hidden entrances to the Organizations HQ. Dismissing all questions about her companion, Krai brought Kia to a dark room. She pointed to a holo communication platform in its center. Stand in the center, The Illusionist hates it when people he's talking to are off center. Turning to a terminal, Krai sent an alert to The Elusive Man letting him know he had a call.

"The best, huh? Well, I guess I should be flattered." It was certainly an odd thing to think about, her being looked to joined because they thought she was one of the best out there. She continually thought otherwise, fully aware there were many out there whose skills and knowledge surpassed hers. People like her brother. She had worked hard over the years to become stronger than him, all in an attempt to end his life. But for all that work, she never held a candle to what he displayed. And that was only, at best, half his actual skills. But that would be something she kept to herself. If her abilities were truly recognized in such a way, she would not refute them.
Making her way through Port Town just a few steps behind Krai, Kia's eyes continued to observe her surroundings, taking in everything while also keeping her attention on the woman before her so as not to lose her. Before long, she had been led to what seemed like a dead end. Her eyes focused in as her body tensed. She was about to speak when a door suddenly opened, revealing the hidden entrance. There were others here, their eyes staring holes into her as questions were asked, none of which Krai seemed concerned with answering. Her eyes now locked forward, she continued to move so as not to incite the fury of those around her.
As they entered the dark room, her body once again tensed up with caution until Krai spoke. Clearly, this was a place for communication and the darkness of the room just made it easier to project holograms. Looking at the woman for a hard moment, the stare was only returned as she continued to point at the pad. Taking a breath, she stepped onto it as requested, waiting for what came next.

Shimmering to life, the holographic image of the Illusionist appeared as Kia D'Naga stepped onto the holopad.Ms D'Naga. A pleasure to finally meet you. No doubt you have a lot of questions. Please, feel free to ask them and I will endeavor to answer them to the best of my ability.Bringing a lit cigarette up to his lips, he pulled a drag and inhaled slowly, eyeing the young woman before him.

It wasn't but a moment that the appearance of a holo image before her came to life and caught her attention, anything that held her gaze to Krai now lost. For a beat, she eyed the man before her, taking in what she could of his appearance under the bluish hue of the hologram. He seemed to be an older man by what she could tell. But what stood out the most were his eyes. They seemed to glow as they looked her over.
His words were short, quickly leaving the floor open to her to ask the questions. Now, she'd get her answers. Crossing her arms, she let herself relax as her head tilted to the side a bit. "The Illusionist, I take it? For the apparent work put into finding me, I would have expected an actual meeting. Cautious, aren't you?" The bit of amusement there and gone, she stood straight once more as her tone shifted back to a serious one. "So what exactly is this Organization of your's about exactly? What about me stands out that you'd seek me out for recruitment? And what are you hoping I'll achieve under your banner?"

Exhaling slowly, The Illusionist watched Kia carefully and smirked as she pointed out that he was cautious. Flicking the ashes from his cigarette into the ashtray on the arm of his chair, he replied to that question.
Caution is a necessity for people in my line of work. Information is a powerful force in this universe, and I deal with a tremendous amount of it.
His glowing blue eyes looked over the woman once more. She certainly went straight to the point. That was to be expected. But until she could be fully trusted with the truth about The Organization, he was only going to explain what they did to a certain degree. Taking another drag from his cigarette, he exhaled and snuffed it out in the ashtray. Exhaling, he answered her question.
The Organization stands for a prosperous, peaceful galaxy, free from the oppression of mysticism and fanatical religious orders. I'm sure Krai informed you as much.
Raising his glass to his lips, he took a sip from the contents and set the glass down. Rising to his feet, he continued.
You stand out to us because you directly oppose the Sith. Your actions on Falleen would indicate that you are not overly fond of their methods. And the ability to sneak around a battlefield full of Force Users virtually undetected is certainly a very useful skill. Your talents would be a great asset to the Organization as a whole. As for what I hope you will achieve, that remains to be seen and is entirely up to you...
Sliding his hands into his pockets, he continued to watch Kia and see how she responded to the information he had just put forth. She was smart and incredibly skilled. A useful asset, to be sure.

Kia listened as the man spoke, each line a repetition of what she had already heard. Crossing her arms was enough of a sign that displayed her unamused feelings towards the answers. Still, she remained as composed as she could, keeping silent for a few moments when he finished so to keep from speaking out in any form of agitation. She wanted answers, wanted to truly know why she was here and what they wanted from her. And getting frustrated would not bring her any closer to that knowledge.
Letting out a small sigh, she let her head drop for a second before returning her gaze to him. "I can't tell you how many times I've heard such lines throughout my life. Each one less than truly fulfilling such claims, at least not without some cost to those under them. I have no care for any Force-based faction, nor any other government for that matter due to that very fact. Promises and vibrant visions of peace and prosperity slip from the lips of men in power oh so easily. But it is all a ploy, a game in the circle of power and politics. All I've ever seen from these kinds of people are achieving power for themselves." She then let a hand slip from her chest out towards him. "You possess this group of supposedly the best according to Krai. You say you have a tremendous amount of information, something that does indeed suggest great power at one's fingertips. On top of that, you keep yourself at arm's length, no doubt only ever appearing before the most trusted of people. If that doesn't scream to me that you are no different than anyone else who possesses the power to achieve his own goals at the cost of others, I don't know what does. Power is an addiction that few can overcome and it doesn't entitle greatness or supremacy. What you do with it is what shapes that reality."
She then let her arms fall to her side, slightly spread out as if trying to draw him out. "You came searching for me after only one task. Apparently, that one display was enough for you compared to so many others in this galaxy. You wanted me here; you chose me. Now it's my turn to choose you. Can you prove this Organization different from those around us? And even then, can you convince me to join this cause of yours? I'm not a woman that can be bought. I only join and fight that which is worth fighting for."

Well spoken and blunt. Straight forward with no dancing around the point. He could respect that. Smirking, The Illusionist inclined his head in agreement.
Power, galactic domination, lording over other. That has no interest to me. Helping those who are unable to help themselves against the oppression of the Jedi or the Sith, that is what I choose to wield the power I have gathered over the years. Since the very first schism between the Jedi, innocent people have been caught in the cross-fire. I stand up for those who cannot stand for themselves. I stand against those that would harm innocents in the name of power or their vaunted religion.
Retrieving a cigarette, the lit it and pulled a drag, inhaling. As he exhaled, he continued speaking.
You are correct, power is an addiction that very few can overcome. And while I will not deny the power I have access to, I would rather utilize that power in a constructive means, rather than a destructive one. Tell me Ms. D'Naga, have you ever heard of the Destruction of Ziost? All life on the planet extinguished in an instance, all to fuel some mad Sith's plans at becoming immortal. Or how about the Tragedy of Katarr? The Jedi held a conclave to discuss how best to deal with their unseen enemies, when all life on the planet was consumed in the blink of an eye, further fueling a menacing Force-User's rampant agenda. There are many more examples throughout history of the atrocities committed by both the Jedi and the Sith. But those to specifically, stand out. Why? Because of how utterly devastating they were. Entire planets filled with people were removed from the face of this galaxy, not through implements of war, such as Telos or Alderran, but through an unseen mystical power that supposedly connects all life. What if those events could have prevented? How many generations of people would be alive today if Ziost or Katarr could have been prevented? How many people never got to see their children grow up? All because of some vaunted, invisible power.
Pausing for a moment, allowing what he had said to be absorbed and mulled over, he took another drag from his cigarette.
What sets you apart, Ms. D'Naga, is the fact that you care about those around you. You care enough to willingly put yourself into harm's way to save complete strangers. So in that regard, yes, only one specific event is enough to garner my attention. And interestingly enough, it was completely by accident. Had my forces not aided the Falleen in repelling the Sith invasion and driving them back, you never would have been brought to my attention...have the actions of my Organization been examined enough by you, or you do still require further proof of our cause?

Kia allowed her arms to rest on her hips as The Illusionist went on to speak and convince her of the purpose behind the Organization. Deeper he went into old knowledge, events of the past. As powerful of examples as they were, Kia didn't need such devastating displays. The moment he started, her mind shifted back to the time when she was three when her family was lost all due to the power of a single man seeking to just eliminate her family line based of a personal vendetta against her great-grandfather. She had grown up alone, hating those who wielded the Force, hated herself for possessing that same power, hating her people because of it.
Time hadn't improved that reasoning, either. When she grew older and could travel among the stars herself, she saw just how deep that corruption ran. The Sith as a whole was filled with it. Just turn over a stone, or look in a different direction, it was there. But with it came the realization that other powers in the Force existed. Never joining them, she watched, edgy about it all, though curious. But all she saw was a lack of action, always seeking peaceful means of handling a situation that should have had only a single outcome. And so her hatred for the Jedi existed as well. It didn't take long for her to hate all orders of the Force, each stating some belief or philosophy for themselves, each concerning themselves with only themselves and their power or turning a blind eye to it all for the sake of "peace."
When he finally stopped speaking, if it could be seen through the hue of the holoimage, her eyes may have spoken towards the interest and little bit of her that had been convinced. Krai had already spoken a few such things, but here it had been furthered, defining much more. "So the Organization as a whole was meant to combat the Force itself? It's not just about facing down different orders of the Force, but any and all who seek to use their power against others or refuse to use the power that has been gifted to them to aid others. We have similar opinions on the matter. For the longest, I've hated all who held the power of the Force, even myself. Though time has changed that opinion slightly, I have no love for any who hold back utilizing their gifts to help another or seeks only to cause havoc on others for the sake of themselves. The same goes for any group, organization, or government. They may not possess the incredible power of the Force, but it is far from a necessity. The Galactic Empire is proof enough of that. Lead by a powerful Force-user, true, but nearly everything done to others was displayed through military might and powerful weapons alone."
She then gave a smirk as she tilted her head. "Still, for someone who prides himself on possessing such knowledge, I wouldn't have thought a single encounter enough to try and bring me here. Cautious, yes, but such little knowledge could spell disaster. That could have been a one-time thing, a personal stake, or even a ploy to get to you. I'm none of the above, certainly, but I believe, no matter the answer, we are reaching a barrier. Even joining the Organization, I'll be kept at arm's length, on constant watch, and given limited knowledge about anything until I prove otherwise. Just as much as I can only take you at your word until you prove to me you are more than those who have come before. Wouldn't you agree?"

Taking another drag from his cigarette, The Illusionist exhaled slowly, eyeing up Kia carefully. Despite not outright declaring The Organization's true intent, she seemed to have been able to piece everything together. She was clever. More so than he had originally expected. Thought that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. However, now it was time to address the bantha in the room, so to speak. Kia herself alluded to it, and the gathered information on her so far was indicative of her being a Force-Sensitive. Though that wasn't an issue at the moment. Inhaling another drag, he exhaled again and spoke.Ms D'Naga, do you know the difference between a Force-Sensitive and a Force-User? Simply put, a Force-User wields the mystical energies of the Force to inevitably harm others by choice, intentionally or not. As if it was their right to wield such a power that they did not earn. Whereas a Force-Sensitive is merely born with the potential to tap into the mystical energies of the Force. They weren't given a choice in the matter, they simply are. They are not our enemies. Force-Users are. Which is where you come in. By joining the Organization, would will be joining up to combat the ever-persistent oppression of Force-Users. Whether it is through direct engagements or through providing relief to those afflicted by the Jedi or the Sith, it for you to determine.Pulling another drag from his cigarette, he smirked at Kia's comment about a one time observation being the catalyst to her being here right now. Exhaling, he explained himself a little further. My predecessor possessed an immense network, capable of a great deal of information processing. Seeking you out and bringing you here is hardly the culmination of one note-worthy operation, just the most impressive to date. The Organization has had its eye on you for several months now. Kamino and Falleen were just the tipping points to prove you held no love for our enigmatic oppressors. In terms of your employment within the Organization, if you've made it this far, you have been deemed trustworthy. Ultimately, how much or how little information you are given is up to you.Pulling a final drag from his cigarette, he exhaled slowly and returned to his seat. Snuffing out the cigarette, he spoke once more. Those under the Organization's employ are taken care off, compensated and ultimately left to operate however they see fit, with the Organization's resources available at their disposal. Unless I take a direct interest in what you are undertaking, you will be dealing with The Director or Operative Strahovski. If you decide something is worth our time to investigate or pursue, resources and personnel will be allocated accordingly. Oh...and one more thing...With a snap of his fingers, a second hologram appeared beside him, displaying the Tempest-Class Stealth Transport.I have taken the liberty to have a ship specifically tailored to your modus operandi as a welcoming gift, should you chose to work with us. Is there anything else you require, Ms D'Naga, or will that be all?

As The Illusionist went on to discuss the difference between a Force-User and Force-Sensitive. While there were many truths to it, there was one minor detail she held in a different light: the full definition of Force-User. It seemed that to him, anyone who used the Force knowingly was a user and thus an enemy as it meant they hurt others one way or another. And that presented a problem. By her definition, a user was anyone who knowingly used the Force. The difference was the intention behind its use. That was what determined one to be her enemy. "Then it seems we may have a problem. While I agree with your feelings on the matter, there is one small detail that would currently present a problem. By my definition of Force-User, I qualify as such. I may have once hated myself and refused to learn to utilize my power, but that time has long passed. I first began learning to use it entirely for the sake of killing my brothers. But through one of them, I learned to accept my gifts and made the choice to use it entirely to help others. I may refrain from using it to the level of the Jedi or Sith, but I use it willingly nonetheless. If that reality makes me your enemy, then I guess that's how it is. If not, then yes, I'd be willing to aid you in facing down these supremacists and cowards."
And there it was, her claim of accepting this offer granted to her. Despite still being a bit edgy about this group and the truth of their intentions, it was something she couldn't pass up. Free reign to do as she pleased unless called upon or stepping well outside the bounds of the Organization's plans, as she felt, meant she could continue to do as she was. And with the resources The Illusionist possessed available to her, she could do so much more than she currently was. What exactly was available to her was still an unknown, but it was still more than she currently had.
But her head did drop at the mention of further knowledge gained on her. Just what all did they know of her? That was the biggest mystery of it all at the current moment. Hopefully, she'd find out. There was something she wanted to stay hidden, not for herself, but for those that the secrets protected. For now, she said nothing of it, letting it pass through the conversation. She had gotten her answers, though not much more than what Krai had stated. Somehow, though, hearing them from the head of the group made all the difference. However, she would restrain herself in just how much that willingness showed or the full depth of her involvement as she watched their moves.
It was then that he brought up the display of the ship. Entirely different from the Normandy Krai possessed, it still held a beauty that caught Kia's attention. It looked even sleeker than hers. And they were just giving it to her? Seems they had been planning this for a bit in case she agreed. She would just have to figure out what to do with her ship. Sell it, most likely.
With all else at its end, Kia shook her head. "All that would remain is that which is required to complete this employment."

The hologram of The Illusionist smirked at Kia's response. Apparently his liberal and loose interpretation of what a Force-User was and what made them an enemy to The Organization needed a bit of clarification. Plucking the glass of scotch off the armrest, The Illusionist rose to his feet once more. Taking a sip, he spoke to Kia once more.
I apologize, my liberal interpretation of what a Force-User is and how they are our enemies was shallow at best. The difference between you versus a Jedi or Sith is very simple, however I will clarify as best I can. From what we've observed, you have never once struck out in anger, or used your powers for self-gain. Extenuating circumstances aside. You have utilized your gift in a way that it has helped you become better at helping others. You are selfless, not selfish. You don't use the Force for self-preservation, manipulate it in perverse fashions to torture people or seek any sort of power aside from honing your abilities. While I am not overly fond of Force-Users myself, personal opinions aside I see the benefit in utilizing their skills, knowledge and abilities to cast off the oppressive rule from the Jedi, Sith or any other Force using cult is required. Until such advances in science are made to give a normal being the same advantages as a Force User, there will always be Force-Users within the ranks of The Organization. All of them here of their own accord and respected just as much as any other operative. If someone is willing, regardless of their past, and able to join us in combating the supremacists and cowards, as you so aptly put it, they will be given a place to do just that, free from the bonds of servitude to quasi-religious, fanatical orders.
Finishing his explanation rather matter-of-factly, he took a sip from his glass. Still holding his glass in his left hand, he stuffed his right hand into his pant pocket and waved his left hand in the direction in which Kia and Krai had come.
If my offer or my explanation does not satisfy or sate your curiosity, you are free and clear to walk out that door and never hear from us again. But if, for even a single moment, you believe you could make a difference here, I urge you to take my offer.

Kia couldn’t help but smirk as The Illusionist chose to give her a deeper explanation behind the idea of Force-Users, only furthering it’s alignment with her own belief. It was a bit amusement to think about his own lack of fondness for them in general, yet he still employed those who, like her, chose to take responsibility for their gifts and use them for the sake of others. It did make her wonder, however, what would become of her and any others that joined once the point of nonForce-Sensitives reaching their level was achieved.
Not concerning herself with the thought for the time being, it was clear that of what her choice would, as she had already set for the terms of her joining or her departure. Considering that she was not considered an enemy, joining was the clear choice. "Consider it taken."

Inclining his head respectfully, The Illusionist spoke once more motioning off to his left. As he did so, a brilliant and blinding light shone from a door-shaped opening and a slender framed figure strode out.Operative Strahovski, my personal assistant, will take you through the enlistment package. Welcome, Ms D'Naga. The Organization is fortunate to have your skills. And with that, the hologram of The Illusionist disappeared, while the lights shimmered on, slowly illuminating the room and shedding light on Operative Strahovski in the process. The woman of approximately five feet, eight inches and cascading raven hair, strode across to Krai and Kia. Raising her right arm out in front of herself, she swiped with her left, bringing up a glowing orange holo-display."Banshee, you are required to submit to a debrief. The Illusionist is waiting for you in the other room."Running through several screens at once, the indicated to the door she had just come from. With Krai's successful acquisition of Kia D'Naga, she surely had impressed The Illusionist. Looking over to Kia, she held up a device that would strap to her wrist and produce the same orange-hued screens that Miranda was currently swiping through."First, we will have to run a full physical evaluation and build your dossier. Skills, abilities and mental condition. The Illusionist requires all of his operatives to be at their peak. He takes great pride in offering us the top-of-the-line medical services to ensure we are well looked after."

Suddenly, Kia’s attention was directed to her right as a bright light suddenly filled the room. Only a second went by before a woman came out. Her eyes then shifted back to the image of The Illusionist, which was a bit hindered by the light. This must have been one of those more trusted operatives that directed things in The Illusionist’s place unless he truly needed to be involved. With his final words, the image faded, leaving only the three women.
But it seemed that it would be down to two as the new arrival dismissed Krai to be debriefed. Her eyes then focused on the other room. Was The Illusionist there? Or was it just another room with a holo projector meant to talk to others when another room was occupied. It would have been interesting to think that for all that caution, he was only a single room away.
Watching Krai leave, Kia looked back to Operative Strahovski as she held up a device that appeared much like the one the woman was wearing. Taking it, she strapped it to her right wrist as the woman began to speak further on what was needed from her. When it was said she was to receive a full physical evaluation, her eyes narrowed, curious about what it all entailed. When she was finished, Kia’s response was focused a short. "Where do we begin?"

Krai rolled her eyes as she was ordered to go and endure a debriefing. She hated paper work and reports. The job had been done, who cares about the details? Now had she failed and brought back a corps, then maybe it would be worth retelling. Either way, she knew better than to argue with Strahovski, and may as well get it over with so she could return to her simulation. Still had some Clone Wars era council members to take down. But before she disappeared through the door, she called back to Kia.
Welcome aboard. If you need me you can find me in the Combat and Tactics Simulator, or someone their will probably know where I am.
With that, she disappeared into the next room to meet with the Illusionist.

The life-sized hologram of The Illusionist was waiting for Krai in the next room. Seated in his chair, sipping his drink, he started speaking as soon as the door was closed.
You are to be commended, Ms. Essen. You truly have outdone yourself here. Not only did you manage to deliver our relief supplies, you successfully managed to recruit Ms. D'Naga into the fold. A feat I was unsure if you were capable of, given the events that transpired on Naboo...though I am grateful you were able to maintain your composure. Gunning down a potential recruit or even an ally is not good publicity on our part. Bombs, guns, blades, all messy and unnecessary... regardless, I wanted to congratulate you personally on a job well done. I've taken the liberty to add a bonus to your account and, as a show of good faith, I have had a second set of armor tailor made for you. Fortunately, I know your size...
Trailing off and motioning off to the left, a compartment slid forward with an immaculate set of armor identical to what Krai was wearing, except it was glossy black. Coated in a stealth polymer of the highest grade, this armor was updated and upgraded from the current variant. Enhancing Krai's already impressive reflexes and allowing her to move virtually undetected, this wasn't everyday combat armor, though it was rated for such due to Krai's reputation.

As the new set of armor was unveiled, Krai smirked. She moved over to the armor, touching it and feeling it. It was beautiful. Turning back to the Illusionist she gave a small bow.
It was out of my usual field, and I damn well nearly did kill her, but I'm glad the Organization still rewards jobs well done. She's good, and worth the extra effort. Pausing for a moment she decided to add, If you tell her I said that I will deny it tooth and nail and the next job will cost triple. This was mostly said in a playful way, but the Illusionist would know it could go either way. What have you got for me next? Or should I tell them to warm up C.A.T.S. for me?

Casting a small smirk, The Illusionist replied to Krai.
Feel free to spend your time however you see fit. Although I would recommend resting, as the next assignment will surely challenge you. We'll be in touch, Ms. Essen.
And with that, the holographic image of The Illusionist disappeared, leaving Krai alone with her new armor.

Krai watched as the blue hologram faded away, a sneer on her face. Rest. That... that actually sounded nice. Her hard expression broke for a moment once she was certain she was alone. Stepping away from her new armor, Krai pulled out her commlink and sent a request to have it taken to her room. She'd be their soon herself, though tomorrow would have to be the day she tried it out. For now she made her way back to her room. She took the long way, not wanting to run into the folks taking her new equipment their. The mercenary was tired. But she never showed it, not when others where around. Once back to her room, she changed out of her armor and laid on her bed. Her legs were the next thing, detaching the artifical legs, that connected mid thigh, she got comfortable and fell straight asleep.
